The Upcoming Election: For Whom to Vote

It has been a long time since I posted.  I have wanted to post recently, but I have had to deal with a series of crises regarding several matters.  Not all of them have worked out perfectly, but my daughter is back home with us in Israel while other things are slowly being worked out, Baruch HaShem.  So to get back into the mood of posting, I thought I would start by just posting.  I am working on an important post about how quickly we are careening toward Geulah.  But that post will be for later.  Right now I want to post about the Israeli election, the critical election that lies before us.  There is a better than 75% chance that this second election in 6 months will end up with no government a second time.  According to a famous medrash, two inconclusive elections at the end of days will end up with Mashiach coming before a third such attempted election can take place.  From the Talmud Sanhedrin 78a:

The disciples of Rabbi Yossi the son of Kisma questioned him, asking when the son of David (the Messiah) will appear. And he answered: I am afraid you will request from me a sign as well. And they assured him that they would not. He then said to them: When this gate will fall, be rebuilt and fall again, be rebuilt again and fall again. And before it will be rebuilt for the third time the Messiah will appear. Tractate Sanhedrin (98a).

According to Rav Yekutiel Fish, these gates are attempted governments.  A government will fall which it did late in 2018.  There will be two elections where governments cannot be formed, and before there is a third such election Mashiach will come.....  Well this 17th of Elul (17th Sept 2019) is the second such election.  Now the 17th of Elul is not just another date.  It is the first time that the Dove was sent out from Noach's Ark which returned that evening because it could find no rest for its foot.  No place in Eretz Yisrael to settler or even to pluck an olive branch which it did the following week on the 23rd or the 24th of Elul when Noach sent forth the Dove a second time.  (the 23rd of Elul if that Elul in the year of the Flood only had 29 days or the 24th of Elul if the Elul in the year of the Flood had 30 days).  It turns out that there was a time exactly 80 years ago when the Dove, Klal Yisrael, had no place to rest its feet since the gates to Eretz Yisrael were closed.  That date was the 17th of Elul 5699 (1st Sept 1939) when Hitler Yemach Shmo invaded Poland.  3 million Polish Jews would then be murdered because they had no place to run to, no place to rest their feet.  The British under Chamberlain had closed the entrance gate to Eretz Yisrael.  So the Dove was truly stuck, and the murder of 90% of Polish Jewry over 5 1/2 years was assured.  So the first time the Dove was sent forth with no place to rest in Eretz Yisrael for its feet was on the 17th of Elul 5699 (1st Sept 1939).

Several decades later we arrive at the 23rd of Elul 5761 (11th Sept 2001).  It was a Tuesday, and it was precisely one week before Rosh HaShannah.  Even the Ashkenazim had started saying Selichot, joining the Sephardic world that started saying Selichot on Rosh Chodesh Elul.  So many Jews who were saying Selichot were late to work that morning of Sept 11th at the World Trade Center.  It was approximately 8:45am when the first tower was hit, and shortly thereafter, 17 minutes later, the second tower was also hit when 19 Wahhabi Muslim terrorists (the total on four separate planes) took over the cockpits in order to fly two planes into the twin towers of the World  Trade Center and one plane into the Pentagon.  Now, we ask, why the World Trade Center?  What does that have to do with the Dove returning to the Ark with an Olive Branch in its Mouth, about which Rashi says "Better are the Bitter Olive fruits of the Hands of G-d than the Sweet as honey fruits of the hands of Man."  It must be remembered that the Dove picked that olive branch from Eretz Yisrael.  So the Dove, preferring its Freedom and its dependence upon G-d, chose that bitter fruit to return to the Ark.  In our Galut of the last 1900 years, one thing united the Ashkenazic and Sephardic world in terms of how Jews in that long galut could earn a significant parnassah.  Specifically in the Ashkenazic world Jews could either collect the taxes at the behest of the King of the Land Owners, Lend Money at interest to non-Jews since the Xtian world did not allow Xtians into this profession. and to engage in global international mercantile trade.  As a matter of fact, this last profession was a favorite of Jews in the Sephardic world too.  Even the Rambam's brother, upon vowing to support the Rambam's learning for a portion of the Rambam's Olam HaBa, was a World or International Trader.  In so many ways, the surest yet riskiest way to wealth in the world was for Jews in both the Xtian and the Muslim world to be involved in global trade for 1900 years.  Sadly the Rambam's brother died on one of his global trade expeditions.  Yet, Global or World Trade was the key to accessing the sweet fruit of the hands of Man over the course of our long exile even with those risks.  So on that very day dedicated to rejecting those sweet fruits for the bitter fruits of Eretz Yisrael, those Two Towers of World Trade came a tumbling down.  And many Jews understood that message, and in the early 2000s came on Aliyah.

So over the course of 80 years, we have passed from the 17th of Elul through the 23rd or the 24th of Elul to what potentially could be Rosh HaShanah of total freedom to be with our King in the Holy Land, free from all encumbrances with the gentile world.  I am not saying for sure that this is that year when the Dove finally comes to rest in Eretz Yisrael on Rosh HaShanah, but our 80 years of Gevurot seem to be climaxing because of this coming election.

Those who read this blog know that I have written extensively about how Bibi Netanyahu is the last leader before Mashiach comes based on the Yichus of this last leader described meticulously in Zecharia 12.  As that last leader is assassinated by the Erev Rav (or forced to leave politics because of looming phony indictments), Ben David rises in the chaos.  That chaos can easily be created by a second election in which no one can form a government.  From Zecharia 12 we see that this last leader must be from the House of Natan..... check.  He must be a Levite ...... check.  And he must intensely hold to the mantle of Shimi ben Geira to destroy Amaeleq in the Persian Empire ....... check.  Bibi has all three yichus points to his name.  He IS that leader.  Now since Rav Meir Kahane zt"l, the last Mashiach ben Yosef to die a violent death was for all intents and purposes murdered by ARMiLuS (Ehud OLMeRT, notice the same consonants) when Olmert wrote the Kach Law banning him from the Knesset.  (2 years later Kahane was murdered by an assassin.)  So Bibi, does not have to suffer the same fate at the hands of Armilus, and he may yet survive, albeit after passing the scepter of leadership over to Mashiach as he is forced to leave the scene.  In short, with this election we are about to enter the Zecharia 12 Twilight Zone.  On that note, we should see an opening for Mashiach ben David to enter from stage right, even if none of the candidates running is Mashiach himself...., but one of them might very well be Mashiach's Lawyer in the Erev Rav Courts and in the dungeons where Shabak can hold young men for months on end without a Writ of Habeas Corpus.  One such man was Meir Ettinger who was the leader of the Yordei Duma, those falsely accused of arson/ murder by Shabak, in the Duma Arson case.  He was held without trial and without charge and without evidence for 10 full months.  On that note, I introduce to you, his Attorney during those dark months, Itamar ben Gvir.

I am voting for Otzma now for sure since they have now crossed the Kav Chassimah in at least 7 different polls in one week since Feiglin, blessedly, dropped out.

I believe that Itamar ben Gvir is NOT Mashiach, but he is very likely Mashiach's lawyer in the lowly Erev Rav Courts and in the dungeon's of Shabak's Jewish Division torture chambers.  I am sure that they have a 500 year old Torqemada torture rack which they proudly used against Meir Ettinger and the other Yordei Duma, those tortured by Shabak to extract confessions when they were trying to frame young "hilltop" youth for the Duma Arson/Murder case.  Writ of Habeas Corpus?  Are you kidding?  There is no such burden of evidence to torture 20 or 25 year old idealists here in Israel.  But, there was Itamar ben Gvir the entire time trying to defend the rights of young men who technically had no rights.

So if you want to open of the door for Mashiach ben David as Bibi stumbles and for the second time in a row is not able to form a government, you have no choice but to vote for OTZMA YEHUDIT.   Right now, Otzma is on a knife's edge.  There is a chance that he will not cross the 3.25% of the vote necessary to get at least 4 seats in the Knesset.  So only vote for him if you are sick and tired of the sheker that this country's political system runs on while at least voting for a party with a greater than 50% chance of getting the minimum votes.  Otzma should have been included in Yamina's umbrella technical bloc, but because of Sinat Chinam on Rosh Chodesh Av, Otzma was not included in that technical bloc, and Ayelet Shaked failed in her potential role as Ayelet HaShachar.  So perhaps, perhaps, this is the way, Mashiach's lawyer might get his foot into the door as the Levite grandson of the House of Natan falters.

  4. Always thought with others who said the same that the 'vulture' was Armelus; sure fits the bill.
Also, read years ago from Barry Chamish that he didn't trust Ben Gvir. He said he was a shabak agent. Could that be true?

Anyway, we have to do is pray, do teshuvah & chesed and tzedaka to hasten MBD's coming.

  8. Just a few days ago I decided to vote for OTZMA YEHUDIT as the result of a WhatsApp message forwarded to me by a friend. I had previously announced to my circle of friends and family that since Moshe Feiglin had folded to Bibi, I was switching my vote to Yamina in an attempt to strengthen the right knowing that Bibi is weak on issues dear to us. He is on the razor's edge in order to form a government and will need Yamina and the rest of the right for a coalition. I see Bibi as the only realistic PM at this time who would not put the country into a tailspin on security and the economy. So my voting strategy is to pull Bibi to the right by giving strength to right-wing parties that have a chance to make the threshold. OTZMA YEHUDIT according to many polls is at or just over the threshold, and by adding OTZMA YEHUDIT to the kenesset we will bring "fresh blood" to the right that will tip the government in a way that Yaminia is not willing to do on its own. Further, votes to Yamina are wasted in a sense since it appears they will safely pass the threshold without additional votes. Therefore bringing Yamina into the government is the best strategy to strengthen it.

Following is the message that was forwarded to me via my friend in three more parts due to the limit of 4096 chars enforced per post by the blog...

  9. Part 1 The convoy of victory for Otzmah Yehudit -

The convoy of victory for Otzmah Yehudit - The goal to raise Otzmah from 4 to 6-7 seats in the polls and in the ballot!

After decades of being politically inactive, I have decided together with dozens of friends that in the few remaining days until the elections we must all fight like crazy with creativity and  wisdom around the clock to ensure a overwhelming victory for the Otzmah Yehudit party, which will not only translate into a victory for the right, but for all Jews worldwide and for the entire State of Israel. Through our support of Ben-Gvir and Otzmah Yehudit-Kaf, we will G-dwilling open a historic window in order to save Israel from its enemies and from itself, particularly in view of the "deal of the century" which contains clauses that threaten Jewish sovereignty over Jerusalem and other key areas of Israel and will be published immediately following the elections.

I call forth to all of those who hold Eretz Yisrael dear to their hearts to join the victory convoy on behalf of Ben-Gvir and Otzmah Yehudit. With G-d's help, our convoy will travel from town to town with Dov Shurin and other talented musicians; with representatives from the Russian, Amharic, French, English, secular, traditional, and religious communities. We hope that our convoy will come within direct contact with hundreds of thousands of people in these dew remaining days to bring about a political revolution - to convince the many disenfranchised who have given up on Israeli politics long ago to go out and vote this time, and to exercise their basic democratic right - Because this time we have someone to vote for. We will also appeal to sectors of the population that Otzmah has not yet effectively reached out to such as the Russian speaking population - after all every vote that we take back from Lieberman fake right to Otzmah and to the real right is a double victory and worth 2 votes - a vote which is no longer empowering the left but rather supporting the right wing camp.

Rebuttals and reasons to vote for Otzmah Yehudit.

Bibi cannot mathematically form a government without Otzmah

To all of those who support a right wing government, and to all of those who agree that a government headed by Bibi is more right than a Lapid led government, you are left with no choice but to vote for Otzmah - a simple calculation: the right wing camp without Otzmah is worth 54-57 seats according to all of the polls. Despite the despicable scare campaign launched by Bennet and Yeminah against Ben-Gvir claiming that Ben-Gvir does not stand a chance to pass the minimum threshold required, Ben-Gvir already has shown in the most recent polls that he has already passed that minimum threshold. (See Yisrael HaYom poll Friday and the recent Knesset poll.) Therefore Otzmah Yehudit is the only chance we have to form a Bibi government.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Part 2 The convoy of victory for Otzmah Yehudit -

We must not aid lowly ingrates - Bennet and other Ben-Gvir detractors are bound to once again fall below the minimal threshold themselves.

How absurd is it that Bennet and Yeminah are investing no less than a fortune to collectively shoot the right wing camp in the foot with their hysterical and desperate political war cry not to vote for Ben-Gvir. There is nothing more despicable than an ingrate.  They have conveniently forgotten that Yeminah would not even be sitting in the current Knesset and governement without the help of Ben-Gvir and Otzmah constituents in the previous elections. Ben-Gvir saved the right in the last elections and is poised to once again rescue the right in these upcoming elections. If I were Bennet, I would shut up. He betrayed the right wing camp in the last elections when he jumped ship leaving the Jewish Home party. Measure for measure, he himself, together with Shaked, did not succeed in passing the minimal threshold in spite of the polls and the warm embrace from the media which erroneously projected them winning 10 seats. This time, it would not be a surprise if specifically Bennet and Shaked do not pass the threshold, while Ben-Gvir stands to receive 6-7 seats.

It is known that Israel is an overwhelmingly right wing country and who is more right than Ben-Gvir?

It is obvious that Ben-Gvir will serve as a gadfly to pull the Likkud and Yeminah parties further to the right and to balance policies to better represent the spirit of the nation. For far too long the Jewish electorate in Israel has been suffering after all elections, despite what should have been their happiest moment. They want right. They vote for those who categorize themselves as right in order to hijack the right wing votes but in the end they receive two left feet. For governments that have included Bibi, Bennet, Shaked, Smotritch and the military headed by the lefty generals of Blue and White - who also now pretend to be right ( LOL) destroy Israel's deterrent towards its enemies pays "protection" to Hamas and has prevented the IDF from enjoying any decisive victories. It is the fake right that has turned the Israeli Army into a punching bag, with rules of engagement which endanger the lives of Israeli soldiers and civilians due to the mercy of fools who are petrified of world opinion. I am sorry, Yeminah and Likkud have had their chance to win and to smash the enemy and they have failed. It is clear that the State of Israel needs a party that will stand to the right of the so called right! It is now Ben-Gvir's chance to give it a shot. Don't be surprised if Ben-Gvir receives 6-7 seats and restores a collective smile to the nation of Israel.

I and many like myself who have not participated in the political circus for many years are coming out in force to vote for Ben-Gvir; a political revolution is in the making.

You can sense the smell the victory in the air. People have had enough with the fake right represented by Bennet, Bibi and the rest - the people want authentic right wing values especially as Trump plans to ram his "deal of the century" down Israel's throat, pressuring Israel to make more than painful concessions. It is no coincidence that Trump just appointed yet another heimishe yid (happy Jew in Yiddish) to replace Mr. Jason Greenblatt and to help sell the deal to the Jews of Zion. Trump has a high enough opinion of himself and is a good enough dealmaker to present a deal that he feels he can sell. Why would he be appointing such a team if he did not foresee Jewish resistance?

  11. Part 3 The convoy of victory for Otzmah Yehudit -

A historic window of opportunity has been opened in which Bibi will be dependent on Ben-Gvir to save himself from incarceration and to save Israel. Most likely Bibi, like Bibi would be more than happy to join forces after the elections and to form a national unity government with the left. This would enable him to more comfortably accept the Trump plan. However, it seems that G-d has different plans and he has hardened the heart of thte Pharoahs of the Blue and White party as they continue to reiterate "anyone but Bibi". Thus the only way for Bibi to escape his legal troubles is by forming a right wing government supported and enabled by the 4-7 seats guaranteed by Ben-Gvir, who says that he will continue to support Bibi's immunity even if Bibi is indeed indicted. My dear friends, we have no choice: Ben-Gvir's seats will G-dwilling save Israel.

This time Ben-Gvir will overcome the minimal threshold because the situation has drastically changed and because everything is from heaven.

It is no mere coincidence that Bibi has openly legitimized Ben-Gvir and literally led the battle for these Kahane heirs to unite with the mainstream right. It is also no coincidence that Feiglin's Zehut party agreed to drop out of the race causing many if his supporters to now join Otzmah. It is neither a coincidence that Merzel and Ben-Ari were banned leaving a much more popular and charismatic Ben-Gvir to head the party. Otzmah is receiving yet another huge boost from the #2 person on the ballot, a highly educated and respected woman, a known activist for social reform whose baby daughter was murdered in a terrorist attack. It is no coincidence that Yigal Bibi one of the most well-known national religious politicians who served in the Knesset for many years with the Mavdal party, has transformed into one of the most fervent Ben-Gvir supporters. Knesset members in the Yeminah party who have openly acknowledged that Ben-Gvir is the only one who can currently save the right in these upcoming elections under the current political constellation. It is no coincidence that some of the most prominent religious Zionist rabbis such as Rabbi Dov Lior have openly endorsed Ben-Gvir. It is no coincidence that the Noam party has emerged from nowhere to run a smooth and effective digital campaign showing the nakedness of the Yeminah party which depicts them as being neither right nor particularly Jewish. This campaign is helping Otzmah Yehudit more than Noam. It is no coincidence that the High Court as again succeeded in angering the majority of Jews in Israel by the severe injustice against Merzel, Gupstein and Ben-Ari who are banned while Arab terrorist sympathizers were given a green light to run for Knesset. Who if not Ben-Gvir will stand up against such injustice in the future? Whoever wishes to volunteer to join the convoy for the victory of Otzmah or to help finance the convoy and this independent ad campaign can contact me directly. 054487XXXX

With love of Israel, Yekutiel Ben-Yaakov, 054487XXXX.

OMG! Dov! you were SO RIGHT ON! I followed your LINK to Tuesday, April 28, 2015... You said you sent this to a bunch of people…well, you called me that day as I was driving into the parking lot of Trader Joe’s in Chicago with my friend Rachel. You were beyond excited about something. I told my friend to start her shopping & I’d catch up with her. (I just looked at my calendar on that date, & sure enough, I always took her shopping on Tuesdays & it was on that same date.) You were so “out of breath” & spoke so fast & said what you had figured out about Bibi. I basically just tucked this new information to the back of my head as I thought about it with a few questions that I couldn’t quite reconcile at the time. I forgot that you posted everything that day. Now fast forward to NOW, almost 4.5 years later...I’m amazed...but you were DEAD ON RIGHT!! It’s amazing the way that you think, Dov! Kol haKavod!

  14. Do you really believe Meir Ettinger is the Mashiach? With all due respect, Mashiach can't be simply an idealist young man. It has to be a big talmid chacham and skillful leader.

I hope Otzma gets into the knesset, but I'm voting for Shas out of respect for the wishes of Maran Ovadia Yosef z''l. I'm not worried because I know voting for Shas is like voting for a Bibi coalition that protects the interests of the Torah (which brings us more merits to defeat our enemies). If Bibi is not Prime Minister, NOBODY should be. We should have only Mashiach ben David.

No, and no. Sar שַׂר means minister. Sha'ar שַׁעַר means gate. I suppose that point of fact might still be significant in some way for Gideon Saar (גדעון סער)!

I leave that to Dov, particularly because of the letters: the samekh instead of the sin and the shin.

Now that I'm looking at it, is it possible that both words have to do with him?

  17. For what it's worth, I think Meir Ettinger is a gilgul of his grandfather Meir Kahane. Rabbi Kahane of blessed memory was murdered on Nov.5, 1990 and Meir Ettinger was born to his daughter Tova on Oct. 4, 1991.

It's funny to me that Rabbi Kahane's enemies thought to be rid of him and all the murderers did was give him a new lease on life, so to speak, so he could come back stronger than ever.

At the soul level, we all have the knowledge we gained over our lifetimes and that knowledge will become accessible at the appropriate time for each of us, so I don't think you can discount anyone as Mashiach based on age, experience or current level of education. We just don't know who they "were" in the past.

Many current rabbis have said everyone today is a gilgul. Just because you are a "nobody" today doesn't mean you weren't a "somebody" in a prior incarnation.

  18. Sa'ar is spelled with a Samech. His last name means Storm. He is the anti-thesis of the part of the Erev Rav that is represented by the Stormy Wind which G-d is not a part of. The Stormy Wind is Erev Rav's membership in the World Communist Labor Movement. The Great Noise is the Erev Rav in the Electronic Media (Noni Mozes and Yair Lapid). And the Flashing Fire is the Erev Rav in the Legal system (Israeli Supreme Court or Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Elana Kagan on the US Supreme Court). G-d showed Eliyahu these three things to show him what He would not be a part of at the End of Days.

So if Jewish involvement in international labor in Israel falls apart, Sa'ar should rise. Continued...

    ReplyDelete
  19. Sa'ar has a tremendous merit which reflects that Hevron must rise to Shaar HaNun before Yerushalayim rises to Shaar HaNun because Bein Adam LeChaveiro lishma (righteousness between Man and Man for its own sake) must precede Bein Adam leMakom lishma (holiness between Man and G-d for its own sake). So Hevron must rise to the 50th Gate BEFORE Yerushalayim rises to the 50th Gate.

Gideon Sa'ar has a special relationship with the City of Hevron. When he was Education Minister between 2009 and 2013, he required that every Jewish Israeli child had to take one field trip to Hevron to see the Jewish community there and to visit the Cave of the Patriarchs. Saar as Education Minister So by his elevating Hevron at this critical time, he merited to potentially elevate Hevron to +50 when the time comes.

And there is a pact between Sa'ar and Pres. Rivlin, the 7th Generation Kol HaTor, that when Bibi cannot form the next Govt, Sa'ar should be given the next opportunity. So when chaos develops after the Elections, Sa'ar will be given the first shot to bring order to the chaos. I have no idea how successful he will be.

    ReplyDelete
  20. When Yair Lapid entered the Knesset in 2013, the Education Ministry was given to Yesh Atid's Shai Piron. Piron's first order of business was to reverse Gidon Sa'ar's Hevron project that every Jewish child should take a school trip to Hevron. So the Erev Rav reversed Sa'ar's initiative. The first or second thing that hits you when you descend to the tarmac at Ben Gurion upon making Aliyah is the intensity of the spiritual war that is raging here. 3 steps forward followed by 2 steps backwards. It ain't easy.

  22. I wanted to respond to as many questions as I could, but we are hosting a Qiddush this coming Shabbat. So this week, setting aside time will be difficult. About the election, Otzma crossed in all the final polls. I realize that they are close to the Achuz Chassimah, the cutoff percenrage of 3.25%. Voting for them is risky. Only vote for them if you are sick and tired of the sheker permeating the rest of the political system. Shavua tov.

  23. I for one, am sick and tired of it. So I am voting for Otzma

    ReplyDelete
  24. I am sick and tired too, but, just to confuse things more, there is one other party whose selling point is as an alternative to the current system: Noam. Any reason NOT to vote for them? It can't be just because they're new.

Earlier on I pledged my vote to them. Is this a vow and, if so, what do I have to do if I want to get out of it - just in case the case for Otzma is better? It would seem that the less division on the right, the better. And I realize that Noam has been playing one note. I'll have to ask them if there's more music...like sovereignty, in their platform.

Please hurry, voting is in 2 days!

  27. The problem with voting for Noam is that they do not have a 50% chance of crossing the minimum percentage. Noam's poll numbers are always less than 1%. It truly is a wasted vote and a wasted electoral attempt to see this through. At least Ben Gvir's and Adva Biton's odds are 50% or greater. If all Noam voters were to vote for Otzma, Otzma would surely cross.

Also why did they quit their negotiated unity with Otzma? Why is there a halakhic problem to run with a woman on the list? I fail to see the moral or halakhic problem of an Orthodox woman serving in an elected capacity. She is a politician not a Dayanah or a Rabbi.

  30. HDG: According to Rav Eliezer who says the world was created in Tishrei, the first day of the first month (until the Exodus from Egypt in 2448) was the 1st of Tishrei. The Dove came to rest when released a third time on that day. So the first time the Dove was sent was either on the 16thor 17th Elul 1656, the year of the Flood. If Elul had 29 days, then the Dove was sent first on the 16th. If Elul that yr had 30 days, the Dove was sent on the 17th Elul. The second time the Dove was sent when he returned with an olive branch was 23 or 24 Elul.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The Elul as opposed to Adar dates for the Sending forth of the Dove are based on the fact that until the Nissan of Yetziat Mitzraim in 2448, Tishrei was therefore the first month, for Adam HaRishon was judged on 1 Tishrei. Starting with Qiddush Levanah for Nissan 2448, Nissan became the first month while Tishrei became the 7th month. This would infer that the Flood began on the 17th of the 2nd month 1656 where the 2nd month was MarCheshvan. When the Dove is finally sent and does not return, that date clearly stated in the Torah is 1st Tishrei 1657. Each time the Dove was sent and returned, he was sent again 7 days later, also clearly stated in the Torah.

I only hope that Mashiah comes as a result of how these elections turn out.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Even if Otzma can get half of Noam's votes, it would secure their position. Like Chabad though, a significant portion on Noam's voters will vote for Gimel because of UTJ's new Shleimut Eretz Yisrael position.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I heard about UTJ's new position vis á vis their teshuva on EY! Doesn't Otzma already have that?

  38. HDG: THERE are several events colliding at the same time. This election is just one of them although it will likely play a key role. There is also the matter of the indictments meant to remove Bibi from power. There is the fact that he is likely the last PM who formed a stable govt.

And then there is Persian backed Houthi rebels in YEMEN closing down over half of Saudi oil production with a missile attack before what might be a fateful Rosh HaShannah.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Also, apparently the Left is getting ready to shut down all religious practices in E"Y if they win.

Whomever I choose to vote for in the end must have seriousness about two issues:

1)Jewish sovereignty over the Land and

    2) Preservation of the Jewish People, as a people and not as a secular pretension, and that includes the best we have of religion until Mashiah is revealed.

And not necessarily in that order. Just because I can't write both ideas in the same breath! I hold them both equally. How much discussion has there been on these?

Regarding sovereignty, there has been talk about taking full responsibility over Emek haYarden. Additionally, they are taking responsibility for ridding us of the Jordanian/Ottoman/British system for buying land in Yehuda/Shomron. Finally...but will they make it before the election?

And JONATHAN POLLARD (and his wife ESTHER YOCHEVED, may she live)? This could have been an easy win for Bibi and the Right, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

    ReplyDelete
  40. In today’s climate, Most people cannot make intelligent, logical, and un-biased decisions, because of biased, detrimental and fake information being pushed onto the public. Most people are confused about the basics of life.

That is why something must happen to surprise and shock the Israelis in this election, and it will be minhashamayim! It has to come out of all this caos and mayhem.

    ReplyDelete
  41. HDG, that goes for the PM who also “pledged” a lot in his hysterical frenzy to win at all costs.
He knows he won’t be able to make good on that “pledge of sovereignty”. What a faker.
Did anyone read about the respected and educated Mrs Adelman who said some eye-opening facts about the Mrs PM?
It should have been on all the news sites, but “the election censors” got to it first.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I really don’t believe that this election will cause Mashiach to suddenly appear. Some people have that wrong. There needs to be an interim ruling govt of sorts in order to bring the hearts of the Israelis closer to a Torah way of life. The setting is not ripe for him to take charge.
    But let’s hope I’m wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  43. There is one more detail to throw into the mix. Trump has been advised to avoid war with Iran/ North Korea at all costs prior to what is assumed will be his re-election in early November 2020. He has been advised probably correctly that War with Iran in the next 14 months would cause him to lose re-election. So in order to listen to political advisers about this, he fired John Bolton (or Bolton resigned) to make the point to his electorate that he wants to avoid war with Iran at all costs. He will negotiate with Iran until he is blue in his face .... at least for the next 14 months. The problem is obvious. Trump risks turning a war in which millions might die into a war in which 2 billion people might die when Iran/ N. Korea ultimately develop long range ICBMs which can successively deliver nuclear payloads. This is the danger that may likely be ordained by Heaven if Trump successfully delays confrontation with Persia for another 14 months.

  49. So The US Dollar is the world's reserve Currency ONLY because the Saudis refuse to trade in another currency in echange for American protection from attacks precisely like this. Being the world's reserve currency permits the US to run 1 trillion dollar annual deficits. So, you believe that Trump will actually do nothing and take the risk that the dollar will no longer be the world's reserve currency, Really???

    ReplyDelete
  50. I fully understand Trump's predicament. He certainly will not be re-elected if he responds in force against Iran's economic terror on Saudi oil production. On the other hand, now that it was proven that Iran did this, he cannot afford to NOT attack directly if he wants the Saudis to preserve the US Dollar as the world's reserve currency. He is stuck between two untenable situations.

    ReplyDelete
  51. It is estimated that he won’t attack, at least not now. And yes the world’s illegal currency is on the way out, in the form it now is in, debt, ups-downs controlled market, debt and more debt. This is hard for people to grasp but it has to come to a halt and replaced by a solid-gold-backed market. That is what these wars are all about!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Oh, that doesn’t mean there won’t be a retaliation of some sort. Keep eyes open.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Trump could have another option yet regarding Iran : to support a joined attack with/by Israel; as we know Israel made hundreds attacks against Iran and its proxies in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq those last years (at least 200).
By the way, last shabbat we just read in parasha Ki Tetse to "erase the spirit (or memory) of Amalek", us and not the USA alone.
So I firmly believe it is OUR role to fight Iran, even before the USA regarding their deal with Saudi Arabia regarding their important role to keep selling oil in US$ keeping the american the world's reserve currency.
It will all depend on the elections today in Israel that could be very close, and lead to another dead end to form a government.
By the way, the latest statements by Bibi about annexing the Jordan valley and even Hebron yesterday if he is reelected will resonate far beyond Bibi's election or not : it will shape Israel's politics and the next government's priorities (no matter who wins)...
I hope it will fit Hashem's plans so He will help us dealing with both our elections and Iran/Amalek in a successful and pleasant way

  54. Doesn't it say 'the year in' and so on, from:

“Rabbi Yitzchok said: The year in which Melech Hamashiach (Messiah king) will be revealed, all the nations of the world will be provoking each other…The king of Persia will provoke the King of Arabia. The King of Arabia, will go to Edom to take counsel and the King of Persia will threaten to destroy the entire world. The nations of the world will be outraged and panic. They will fall on their faces and will experience pains like birth pangs. Israel too, will be outraged and in a state of panic ask, “Where do we go?” (Yalkut Shimoni, Isaiah, 60:499)

So how long can this year be? A new year is coming up soon. Or how many years like that can there be? There are ways around that i suppose, ways to stretch the theory of the subject matter fit the picture. But this is just typical. We are - not the first time, things seem so close, and yet so far - being tested or teased in an incredible way. Or the spiritual level does not fit the level of patience, what would make sense. More patience from higher level of Kedusha, Emunah, and Bitachon would lead to faster (instant?) process, and less so to longer time for revelation. (?) I know smart paradoxes is more Meir Ettinger's department, but this is my best thought i have on this right now, besides detailed stuff on DPRK- Iran connections, but never mind that.

  56. For all those who voted for Otzmah: Don't feel bad. Even if all your votes could be translated into one or two additional Knesset members for the right bloc, Bibi still wouldn't be able to form a coalition of at least 61 without Lieberman. And don't think for a second that the Arab parties or Lieberman would agree to be in the same government (nor should). The political blockade continues. It seems this is all from heaven. It depends on Lieberman. If he refuses to swallow his ego and stop going full force against the Torah, we will have elections again, which means a real constitutional crisis without precedent in the country's history (probably unique in all the republics with parliamentary systems of government). I don't know how this could be solved. We need a government. Forget the loss of credibility that this type of democracy will have in the eyes of the Israeli public and the international community, there's a loss of time and money that the country can't afford again, not to mention Netanyahu will remain as temporary Prime Minister in a caretaker government anyway. Maybe Mashiach will appear as a reasonable alternative to many Israelis that otherwise wouldn't support him. Who knows? I really hope Lieberman gets reasonable and stops demanding that haredim in yeshiva join the army as a precondition to join a coalition (nobody needs them in the army anyway), because if he doesn't, the country will go down the drain... perhaps he will have the halachik kingdom he's so afraid of. But I don't think this is the best way for Mashiach to come. In any case, as the great Donald says, "we'll see what happens".

    ReplyDelete
  57. It is ovviously not the best way for Mashiach to come, but at least G-d is finished with our lowly ways. 62. In the interim, the 7th Generation Kol HaTor, Pres Rivlin, will need to at least ask someone like Gideon Saar to try to scrounge for 61 seats (after Benny Gantz tries to accomplish that and fails).

    ReplyDelete
  63. Reb Dov,

One question please : you mention that Pdt Reuven Rivlin is the 7th generation since Kol Hator written by Rav Hillel de Shklov Rivlin, writing his Rav's Torah, the GRA.
But why not mention that PM Benyamin Netanyahou is also a direct descendant of the GRA too, so he should be linked to Kol Hator as well as Pdt Rivlin in the current process regarding the gueoula ?

By the way, as I mentioned previously, we have almost finished the traduction of Kol Hator in French, around 99% is OK, so I think we will release the book by the end of 5779 or the very beginning of 5780 béézrat HM

    ReplyDelete
  64. Maurice: Good pt. But I mention President Rivlin's 7 generational Yichus because Eras of beginning and completion often take 7 generations. On the side of holiness, Moshe Rabbeinu was the 7th generation completion of what started with Avraham Avinu while on the side of Klalah, Tuval Kayin was the 7 generational completion of Kayin murdering Hevel.

So here the beginning of the 7 generations of Mashiach ben Yosef began with R. Hillel Rivlin zt"l's authoring of Kol HaTor and now ends in the 7th generation with his Great great great grandson, Reuven Rivlin. Of course Bibi is a part of that 7 generational Oddysey. Of the four Mashiach ben Yosef's who preceded him, they have all died violent deaths (Yosef Trumpeldour, Avraham Yair Stern, Yonatan Netanyahu, and Rav Meir Kahane). Bibi is the first one who mar survive. And the 6th one who may never rule Yehonatan Pollard may only be released when the ankle bracelet holding Mashiach ben David in home detention is also released. More later...

"A precondition for our entry into the government is also core curriculum studies in the ultra-Orthodox education system. We will give only full governmental support to the ultra-Orthodox education system with the introduction of core curriculum studies.”

    ReplyDelete
  69. Dov, are you saying that Yehonatan Pollard is Mashiach ben David? I thought the whole point of Hashem allowing the Mashiach ben David to be revealed at a certain point in history is that it is contingent on keeping the identity of the Mashiach a secret from the world for the purpose of: 1. So the evil forces(Satan)won't try to impede or destroy the Mashiach if it is known who he is before he is revealed and
    2. It could be quite possible - just like with Samuel/Shmuel, who didn't know which son of Yishai was to be annointed, until Hashem told Shmuel it was to be David, that it may play out the same way this time around.
    3. Because we as a Jewish people, who have given up the right - because we have not done proper Teshuvah in Hashem's eyes - for an Acheishana/Hasty redemption to unfold, we are now in Beitah/"in it's time" mode and we don't really deserve to be redeemed solely based on our merits let alone deserve to know who the identity of the Mashiach is. It makes sense to me.

There was also a spelling error in this article - it should be "No place in Eretz Yisrael to settle", not "No place in Eretz Yisrael to settler". Just thought you should know that.

    ReplyDelete
  70. No. I do not believe Pollard is Mashiach ben David. At the Covenant Between the Parts we are told in the Torah that at end of our long night of exile, BOTH the Tor (turtle-dove or MB Yosef) and the Ben Yonah (white dove or MB David) are released from their captivity simultaneously. So until the moment of their freedom both Mashiachs are being held under house arrest. Mashiach ben Ephraim (Pollard) is being kept in captivity in Brooklyn, NY with an ankle bracelet telling authorities that he is home in Brooklyn by 7pm seven days per week, and there is another in Eretz Yisrael being held under house arrest by an identical ankle bracelet placed on his ankle by Shabak, making sure that he does not travel to Yerushalayim nor to any place in Judea and Samaria. The moment that one is given freedom, it is likely so will the other be free.

    ReplyDelete

  71. But we also don't know if Meir Ettinger is the Mashiach ben David because of the previous points I made about how the identity of Mashiach ben David must be kept a secret until the very end.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Correct, Haim, we do not know for sure. It is why I avoid mentioning his name although I believe that the odds of him being Mashiach are near 50%. Until Mashiach ben David is actually revealed by Eliyahu HaNavi, we cannot be more than 50% sure. So I impose that self-doubt about who he is on myself.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Just curious to know - was Eliyahu HaNavi a reincarnation of Samuel/Shmuel, the Samuel who annointed David to be the future King?

    ReplyDelete
  75. I will mention this. David slew Goliath when he was 28 years old. And there are other things associated with the 4 times Yirmiyahu haNavi spells Yaakov's name with a Vav which reveal deep secrets about the coming of Mashiach in the last 30 years before he arrives. These deep secrets are included in Tanakh because Eliyahu was told that even though he would herald the coming of Ben David, the last 30 years of The Mashiach ben Yosef period of Jewish history, he would not herald, but the Tanakh in 5 separate places where Yaakov's name is spelled with a Vav would herald those last 30 years. 4 places in Yirmiyahu and one place in the Torah in the tochachah in Leviticus. 5 x Vav (6) = those final 30 years which we are in already of course.

    ReplyDelete
  76. There lies the parallel between Shmuel and Eliyahu. One heralded David. The other would herald Mashiach ben David. The parallism ends there for a reason. The one who would supposed to destroy Amaleq, Shaul was ALSO annointed by Shmuel HaNavi, but the counterpoint to Shaul, Bibi Netanyahu whose soul is the sparks of Shaul's soul that he did not purify in his lifetime, was simply elected. Well some say his career was heralded by the Lubavicher Rebbe, but his career was not heralded by Eliyahu. He is now the longest serving PM in Israel's history. The Erev Rav wants him disgraced and in prison for daring to serve more yrs as PM than David Ben Gurion! In their minds That cannot be tolerated!

So why did Eliyahu HaNavi NOT herald his long tenure? It is because Eliyahu was depressed about the spiritual condition of Klal Yisrael after his triumph on Mt. Carmel against the 400 priests of Baal Peor and the 450 priestesses of Ashtaroth. He thought he had initiated a grand and glorious time of Baalei Teshuvah, but when Jezebel said that she would kill him the next day, he concluded that instead all of those Baalei teshuvah were really ingrates. So he traveled back to Har Sinai to return the Torah to Heaven!

    Continued......

  78. Here is why I doubt it is possibly the person - that you are almost 50% sure of being that person - that is currently being held by the Shabak in house detention. Rambam, the almost exclusive go-to source for Mashiach ben David, says this in his famous correspondence with the Jews of Yemen, in the Iggeret Teiman:

The Messianic King will be an unknown - a nobody. Nothing will be known about his background or family. As the Rambam writes: "Know that you will not know of his arising before it happens, such that one could say about him that he is so-and-so's son from such-and-such a family. Rather, a man will arise who will be unknown before he is revealed." Also I've read it from Rambam and other Torah sources that he will be a Ba'alei Teshuvah. This person of interest is not a Ba'alei Teshuvah. Also Rabbi Mendel elucidates and expands on this Torah concept in some of the Torah lectures I've seen on video, that he explains that this person will have been put down, made fun of, pushed away and rejected for most of his life and also someone who has gone through the most incredible suffering and tests that most people would not be able to withstand. He also mentions that it won't be a great Rabbi or tzaddik or someone that is known from an illustrious Torah family. This person who is being held in house detention by the Shabak is a person who is well known in Israel and almost certainly the greater Jewish world. It is well known that he is the grandson of Meir Kahane - an illustrious, very well known politically active and Torah learned family. So he is not an unknown or a nobody. From what I understand, he has had a pretty decent life, with lots of support and love around him, with the exception of the last few years of his life involving the Duma case.
It is also well known that he is a radical member and leader of Israel’s “hilltop youth,” young people from religiously observant families who move to settlement outposts, resist soldiers’ attempts to evacuate them, and intermittently carry out “price tag” hate crime attacks on Palestinian, Christian and Israeli targets. I would hardly think - with such a rebellious, trouble-maker background - that he would be the prime candidate to represent the Jewish people as our Mashaich. I am not of the mindset that he is possibly the "One." Waiting for anyone's reply on this.

When they would bring him before the shofet, they didn't ask about alleged crimes, they asked if he had changed his thinking. What thinking was that? He rejected the authority of the court, of the existence of medinat israel and waits for the establishment of the Kingdom of Moshiach. So if this is terrorist ideology, then they better come and lock me up too. Along with all the hundreds of thousands of us who reject the legitimacy of this erev rav medinat israel and await the establishment of the Kingdom of Moshiach, may it be soon.

These people have a ability to bring Israel to her knees, or worse. These people are capable of giving all kinds of gifts for meaningless photo shoots.

  89. Quote from Anon 9/20 4:45am "All those Jews who sat out this election will learn a powerful lesson."

Me: and what powerful lesson have *you* learned? If you are Jewish, why do you speak as though you are not part of "those"? Is Hashem divided? Is Israel divided? No.

Quote: "This is what Labor did to Shamir."

Me: I thought we believed that all that is *Is Hashem*, so He did it all for us, to get us to this exact place.

Quote: "These people have a ability to bring Israel to her knees, or worse."

Me: I may be mistaken, forgive me if my perspective is in error, but isn't that the whole idea of teshuva and guela, to get one in the position of returning to right standing with Hashem? Knees sound good. And what is the worse you speak of? Prostration maybe? That might be even better, not worse. Again, all that is, is Hashem, He does it all for us.

Quote: "Those Jews in Yehuda and Shomron and around gaza should be ashamed of themselves"

Me: Again, the choice of words to express your thoughts speak volumes, "those Jews" and "these people", etc. Is the shame only "theirs"? Are they *alone* responsible? So, if they (even one person) realize their error, and repent, and Hashem brings the redemption immediatley on their behalf, is the reward theirs *alone* as well? Would you see yourself as part of "those Jews" then?? Maybe they should say they never knew you. Is it possible to judge them favorably as having a part in bringing the redemption *for all*? Surely, what we may think as not good, Hashem means for good. Even your choice of words to express your heart has given me much to think upon. I am grateful to Hashem and you.

Thank you Hashem for Anonymous 4:45am post. If I offended you or anyone, I beg your forgiveness for my ignorance. At this point, I may not merit understanding.

Why are people still so clueless as to why bad things happen? May Moshiach come and may all the eyes be opened in time to do teshuva before all our freedom of choice is removed. 103. I understand Lieberman. He is a wicked man who wants to turn Israel into a country of goim to serve his Russian electorate, therefore his main concern is to form a goverment without haredim. But what is gantz's problem? What kind of game is he playing? why he simply can't take his 13 knesset members of the Israel Resilience party he created and form a goverment of rotating prime ministers with Netanyahu? He alone cant do anything, and he knows it. Does he want a third election or what? Even if Bibi wanted, he couldnt make a government with Lieberman without haredim, nor viceversa. No leftist party is willing to compromise with Likud and Lapid keeps screaming like a child that he wants Bibi out. So what are they waiting for? The only solution to form a government is to reach a compromise between Bibi and Gantz. It's not rocket science. There's no other choice. Why these politicians don't grow up?

    ReplyDelete
  104. Now i'm starting to appreciate the presidential system. If Israel would elect Prime Minister like people elect President in Argentina, Bibi and Gantz would go to a two-round system (called ballotage) and we would have a government by now, probably under Netanyahu (by a small margin). People would be forced to elect one of the two candidates, since politicians are useless to make compromise and form a coalition on their own, apparently. The irony is that those people calling to remove Netanyahu at all cost don't understand that he will remain as provisional Prime Minister indefinetly until a new government is formed, since there is no term limit in a parliamentary system. We can go to ten elections and the current stalemate will remain, with Bibi as PM.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Neshama: Bibi is the reincarnation of the impure Netzitzot of King Shaul who failed to perfect a number of midot and to finish a number of tasks in his lifetime. For one, he was supposed to obliterate Amaleq and did not by allowing Agag to remain alive with the female Amaleqites who had shapeshifted into bleating sheep. Since all of Shaul's male descendents were wiped out or in the case of Mephiboshet were childless, the task to destroy Amaleq in the world was passed on to Shaul's younger brother Geira who passed it on to Shimi who had cursed David a great curse while running away from AvShalom, David's son. So all the descendents of Shimi ben Geira, and Bibi is one of them according to Zech 12, have a koach to be Mashiach ben Yosef to destroy Amaleq in the world. Mordechai and Esther were two of those descendents who engaged in the obliteration of Amaleq in the Persian Empire. Bibi less successfully is another such descendent of Shimi.

  111. This will go the full 7 years after the majority of Mankind fell below Mem Tet Shaarei Tumah in 5776. The longest the world can survive being out of spiritual balance between Good and Evil is 7 years. Where do we see this? When we are told in Parshat Shlach Lecha (Numbers 13) that

22 And they went up into the South, and came unto Hebron; and Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were there.--Now Hebron was built seven years before Tzoan in Egypt.--

Now really why does the text go off on a tangent, telling us that Chevron was built 7 years before Tzoan in Mitzraim? Is it necessary for telling us what the Spies saw there, which is the central theme of the Story in the Text. We are at this juncture being told one of the secrets of the Final Redemption. You see, Chevron will be the first place in Eretz Yisrael to reach +50 at the onset of building the Messianic Kingdom while Tzoan (Tanis) was the Ancient Capital of the Old Kingdom in Ancient Egypt where Klal Yisrael was influenced to fall to Mem Tet Shaarei Tumah and where Moshe and Aharon performed the 10 Plagues. So we are told that the Qedushah of Chevron preceded the Tumah of Ancient Mitzraim by 7 years. Here the world was out of balance on the side of Qedushah, and it needed to be counter-balanced by Tumah within 7 years. This was also possible in our day when the 7th year of Gog ben Gog Bush preceded 5775 and 5776 by exactly seven years (5768 and 5769). Because of the callous behavior of some dati Jews who joined Sharon's Disengagement govt for 290 million shekel, we did not deserve for the final year of GoguMagog in the last year of Gog's Presidency to precede the Fall of Mankind to -49 and -50 7 years later. We chose to be dragged kicking and screaming into the Redemption, not 7 yrs BEFORE Mankind went from -49 to -50 but 7 yrs AFTER Mankind went from -49 to -50. Trump by delaying the War against Persia until AFTER 5780 is virtually guarranteeing a bloody hell when this War is fought no later than in 5782. Now I am sure you wanted to hear Achishena pleasantries for Mankind, but that ship has sailed. The world will be out of balance on the negative side of the ledger for almost 7 years. So the kick back into spiritual balance will be a real doozy.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Well, 5780 is off to a tumultuous start.

Let’s see if this happens. I think Trump’s next move to negate and void the *Sykes Pico (and any agreements in connection with this) “arrangement” that the then “powers that be” enacted to arbitrarily divide the “area” into separate “countries/states” in order to control the oil and whatever else they wanted. The Arab nations are divided already by “tribes” and “allegiances” and not the way it was divided. They have been warring ever since, and that was the reason for ISIS being formed, in order to break down the artificial boundaries imposed on them.

Since Britain is a part of this arrangement, perhaps Trump and Boris have already discussed this; and in addition to the world economic situation, they have a working arrangement and there may be support from Boris (once he declares freedom from the DS bankers) in order to do this.

I know it looks bad for the Kurds, but Trump is right about being mired in the ME and Arab way of life. What he really plans for Turkey, is yet to be seen. I think it might end up getting sanctioned into obedience. And should this *all take hold we may yet see the Kurds having a “state” of their own.

This is just my analysis and very open to comments - please.

The Papa Bear is Russia, and the Momma bear is Persia, and the Kurds are the Baby bear. The Final Alliance of the Three Bears

  116. I am beginning to believe strongly that Mashiach ben David will rise this year BEFORE any third election can take place as a result of there being no govt after two inconclusive elections. Yet, the Big War will likely be held off until after the 2020 American Presidential elections. This would mean a far more catastrophic war for Mankind when it takes place between Nov 2020 and the Fall of 2022. Those Jews who will therefore have come on Aliyah before the cataclysmic war and its associated unparalleled economic collapse, will have increased their odds of surviving this final chaotic imbroglio by seeking shelter under a Messianic govt before the SHTF. S is for slop.

    ReplyDelete
  117. So right Reb Dov. We are in for some earth rattling years ahead. One prophecy is that the Arab nations will in the end turn against Israel, after frustration. Is that in your scenario?

Also, I learned recently that the Kurds will come under Syria’s “protection” with an area just for them.

How do you see Russia claiming them? Russia has allowed the US and Israel to function in Syria without interference (thanks to BB).

If Russia attacks Turkey, that would be a real messy war, but Turkey would deserve it. And Trump by his recent moves regarding Erdogan is laying the groundwork for Turkeys humbling. Turkey was only supposed to clean out the remaining ISIS in No Syria and among the Kurds, but Erdogan may or may not have done that. Yes, the Kurds had a DS faction, and this was also to be wiped out. All negotiated during the Trump-Erdogan meeting. The DS had a field day mangling the news and headlines, esp in Israel. I think this was a set up on Erdogan in order to begin restraints against Erdogan.

Sadly, b'itah involves a missile attack by Hezbollah and/or a cruise missile attack by Iran, Hezbollah, or Hamas on Tel Aviv. Time and time again, there has been little or no move toward repentence in the Tel Aviv bubble. As a matter of fact Sin City on the Left Coast has devolved into less than humanoid behavior and beliefs over the last 20 years. The fact by large majorities, they are still voting for ex-Generals who would gladly sit with people who want us dead in a government in order to have 61 seat majorities is a testimonial to their devolution and spiritual decay into something less than human. What is a Righteous G-d to do? Does He wait until they by their own free will devolve into Apes?

  127. Excuse me Dov, but I don't understand what's the point of allowing an Iranian missile to hit Tel Aviv. If Hashem wants to punish or purify a serial sinner, He will put them in Gehenom or Kaf Hakela, He doesn't need the Iranians to do the dirty work. And if the point is to kill millions of wicked people at once, a couple of missiles won't do the work. Maybe a disease or a nuclear war? Now, if the objective with an Iranian attack is to make the people do teshuva, it's ridiculous because secular Jews won't see this event as the hand of Hashem giving them a message, they have no clue as what to do. And what merit those filthy ayatollahs have for Hashem to use them as the stick to hit the wicked among our people? Doesn't seem fair. I would like to see a remake of 1967 to punish the ayatollahs FIRST and lateral Hashem can use other means to settle the score with the rest of humanity.

  128. Hi Reb Dov and everybody here : shana tova oumetoukha !
I am sorry to have to annoy you regarding your statement that " there has been little or no move toward repentence in the Tel Aviv bubble."
I firmly disagree with you on that point regarding my own experience : the 1st time I travelled to TLV, 27 years ago, I could hardly find a Kosher restaurant (I mean "stam Kosher" : with a regular teouda and closed during Shabbat and Yom Tov)...
I bet there were hardly 10% kosher restaurants in the city at that time.
Now it's much easy : maybe 40%, maybe 50% Kosher restaurants...
If this is not a HUGE teshouva, what is it ?
And the same regarding the Torah : now you can easily find a Synagogue, especially thanks to the Habad who came and settled in Trumpeldor for example (it's french speaking Habad place).
I was there during a Shabbat in August 2014, during the war with Gaza.
A young man came at the office, he was a soldier on leave : immediatly the Rav Attal offered the young soldier to take an alya during the reading of the Torah, then at the Kiddoush he took the soldier right close to him at the table, it was beautiful and meaningful to see that.
But beyond my own experience, I listened to a lot of good news like those regarding the last study about religion in Israel (published every 7 years), stating that more and more Israelis study the Torah, eat kosher or do mitsvots... the numbers were pretty ashtonishing to see, but you need to look for long periods ot time (5/10/15 years) to really see the teshouva sprouting up, unless you completely cannot understand the greatness of the teshouva of our generation on a day-to-day observation basis.
Just like the Vilna Gaon stated in the Kol Hator, the gueoula comes "kima kima", step by step...

It's up tu us, with those facts, to demand from Hashem a gueoula berah'amim because people really do teshouva, it's not a joke or a view of the mind (sorry for my approximative english).

NB : I am talking about the people, not about the politicians here who, sadly, do not necessarily all look for the best interest of the people.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Unknown:

The fear of a nation as wicked as Haman, or from where Haman came from, should be enough to force them to repent. There will be no death of 2 million Jews in Eretz Yisrael. But the fear of something really real will be enough.

The punishments of GeHinnom and Kaf Kela are pre-Messianic. As we enter into Yemot HaMashiach, the wicked are punished in THIS world, not just in the next. As the Psalm of a song for Shabbat day says:

ח  בִּפְרֹחַ רְשָׁעִים, כְּמוֹ עֵשֶׂב, וַיָּצִיצוּ, כָּל-פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן:    לְהִשָּׁמְדָם עֲדֵי-עַד.8 When the wicked spring up as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they may be destroyed for ever.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Maurice: Yes, there is a Baal Teshuvah movement in Tel Aviv. Even if 15 to 25% of the city is now Shomer Shabbat and Kashrut, that would be enough to account for 40% of the restaurants being kosher. No food business that wants to profit would dare ignore 20 to 25% of its potential customer base. So yes, that is good, very good. But still an overwhelming majority of Tel Aviv residents vote for Ron Huldai, Ehud Olmert previously, Tzippy Livni previously, and now Yair Lapid and Benny Gantz. The main reason why Gantz and the Far Left now have 38 seats (not including Labor) is because of the voter base in Tel Aviv. I excluded the Labor Party only because it has become primarily a Economically inclined Social Justice Movement to redistribute wealth, something that is always bound to fail on a practical level. Yet, I cannot be morally critical of people who vote for Socialism on an "empty stomach" and shoestring budget where they cannot make ends meet. They do not fall into the same category of Rishut as those who voted for Benny Gantz, Yair Lapid and even worse Ehud Barak/ Stav Shaffir/ Meretz.

What is curious about this election is the right wing antipathy to Torah represented by Avigdor Lieberman, who himself is a "settler" with a three story mansion in Nokdim in Eastern Gush Etzion near the Herodian and Tekoa. It will be interesting to watch if his antipathy toward the Arabs is dwarfed by his antipathy for the Torah. Will he despise the Torah more than he despises the Arabs in the Knesset so that he is willing to form a silent alliance with those same Arabs in order to get anti-Torah legislation passed by Gantz, Lapid, and the Far Left?? Will he really go that far? It is because of the rise of the right wing Torah haters that we have this predicament of two elections and no government in the first place.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Reb Dov,

Thank you very much for your answer !
Regarding the elections, it seems to me that we are living the exact time when the Reshaïm know that they will loose (ie : the Clinton/deep state Vs Trump/good people in the USA, or in Israel the latets studies that state the young generation believe more in Torah and in Zionism which will shape the future elections for 10/20 years)...
They already know they are loosing the future elections (power) but just cannot accept loosing without a final fight, even it that means going crazy like you state about joining the Arab parties in Israel (or trying to empeach Trump for the exact same breach of law they committed: collusion/treason etc..).
For this purpose (power) they use "real reasons" and artifially emphasize those reasons in order to complain : against the Torah (well there are still people loving Torah but not respecting brother Jews, even if things improve), against the Am Israel (joining the antisemitic Arab lists), or corruption/real social issues about poverty.
But it's all fake in order to take the power, so IMO it's the last war, between truth and lies.
Once they loose, and thay finally will (and they know it), the place will be free for next stages of Gueoula.
Oh by the way, one good news from France : I just finished the translation of the Kol Hator in French and sent it for spreading in french-speacking Torah study websites (in .pdf, I offer it for free).
I hope it will help to bring Gueoula Berakhamim

    * now (2018 numbers) : there are more than 45% of the world's jewry living in Erets Israel ...

Who can still state the Am Israel does not do teshouva when they come back in their homeland in such a huge way ?
Truth Vs lies... the real war of our times ... and we are winning !

Yes there may be (financial motivation for) kosher restaurants etc., but the quality of atmosphere is complexed by all the (dogs [poop] and their) Israelis that pick and choose the cultural aspects of yiddishkeit that they find attractive, but do this without recognition, belief of and love for Hashem (G–D).

Some friends of mine from NY were visiting their grandchildren in TA and they were (literally) speechless about what they witnessed, while they told me these grandchildren were seeking to move to a different area as they are mitzvoth observant and feel very uncomfortable in the general atmosphere of TA. I’m describing this as nicely as I can.

How they got there in the first place you may be asking? Well, TA is billed as “the place” to find work and its “cosmopolitan” which attracts young minds and hearts, but when the reality sinks in the sane ones move out.

Thanks to Rabbi Mizrahi (and perhaps others) there is an awakening to do teshuva stemming from his appearances and lectures on life, and on the Torah way. He explains how some react to things he tells them that they never heard before and are shocked into find their way back to the Torah. But there remains so very much more to be done.

I recently saw in the news a Simchat Torah celebration in a TA niteclub that had a band, and these were young kippat sruga wearers, dancing in that place holding Torah Scrolls. It was a bizayon (disrespect) on a grand scale. This is what some believe is “being religious”. The distortion of values.

It is so sad to see what has become the expression of many who think they are religious, but are just “kosher style” like kosher style cheezeburgers, that they call “ham-burgers”. “Ham” is “hazer” in Ivrit and very non-kosher, but they have no qualms in calling it that.

  134. We must understand that the leaders in Israel are mostly Erev Rav. Since Oslo and even before they made sure to take away teaching 'Bible' (prophets, etc.) in the public schools and now they even teach all the garbage of today's immorality in the school system, so how can the youth understand or learn anything even of the most basic Yiddishkeit. They become the useful idiots for those leading the nation and see no wrong in the lifestyle of the Tel Avivites. The adults who have such hatred for Torah are also those that have no Jewish souls. There are many who are just ignorant, like kidnapped children and could eventually be swayed to return to their roots. The education system in Israel must be primary that must be fixed, so the youth who inherit the future will know at least somewhat what it is to be a Jew. But, by then, hopefully, Moshiach will be here. Praying that H' will see to it, even at the last moment before Moshiach, every Jewish neshama will do teshuva and be saved. We shouldn't lose hope.

  136. @Neshama

I clicked the link you posted about the Simchat Torah celebration in a Tel Aviv nightclub, but did not see a desecration.

It was a Second Hakafot celebration, when something happens that I find very touching, the people of Israel dance with Torah in order to show a sort of support to those of us in Galut who celebrate Simchat Torah a night after those in Eretz Yisrael.

Those dancing in that club were all men, there was no mixing of genders, and they look like many university age young men that could be seen in America or the UK, who are religious but not Yeshivish or Chasidic.
The music was I guess a Klezmer/Pop hybrid which sounded OK to me.

As for the venue, I do not know what it was, but how is it any different from a function suite which could be hired by people who make a secular party?

In my time in Tel Aviv I saw a few "Counter-culture people" but in the main I saw tourists and regular Israelis, people just going about their business to and from work. There seemed to be a lot of shuls, and easy access to Kosher food.
It was different of course to Jerusalem or Beit Shemesh or Bnei Brak.

I guess it is what one is used to?
For a Londoner such as myself there was little to be shocked by.

  137. I ask all the readers of this blog to please stop slandering a city in Eretz Israel. I don't mind if you speak against smolanim living here, but you can't generalize and call an entire city full of Jews "wicked". First of all, there are religious people in Tel Aviv, including baalei teshuva, shuls, yeshivot and kosher restaurants. I personally know a very big tzadik living there. Second, not all religious people are necessarily rigtheous. I saw myself in Jerusalem reshaim from mea shearim attacking a group of young breslevers dancing on simchat Torah (the lynchers belonged to the same "religious" group that celebrated in the streets when the gdol hador, Rav Shteinman, passed away). Third, we don't know which among secular Jews is a deliberate sinner and which one is a tinok shenishbu. Fourth, even a wicked idol-worshipper king like Omri has a share of the world to come just for building a new city in Eretz Israel, namely Samaria (which was composed by mainly Jewish idolaters and was built only for economic reasons). So please be very careful when you speak about Tel Aviv. Spare your accusations for San Francisco, New York, London, Buenos Aires or any other city full of wicked people.

    ReplyDelete
  138. 1. I clearly mentioned above that there is a righteous holy minority in Tel Aviv which prevent it from having the Din of Sodom.

    2. The halakhic category of tinok sheNishba applies to lack of Shabbat and Kashrut observance. A tinok sheNishba has a heter for almost all Chukim and Mishpatim that are incumbant on Klal Yisrael exclusively. Yet, for laws of human decency that apply to all Mankind like Mishkav Zakhor, legal promotion of Mishkav Zakhor lifestyle, stealing land from Jews in Newe Deqalim and Homesh, endangering lives of Jews in The Gaza envelope by unilaterally evacuating Jews from Gaza, and Worshiping World Public Opinion as if it were a god, THERE IS NO HETER FOR A TINOK SHENISHBA.

  140. And let's not forget the Talmud says it's better to live in a gentile city full of idol-worshippers in Israel than a city of frum Jews in chutz lahaaretz. 144. I have this theory that when a Gadol of Torah passes away (Rav Karelitz ZTZl), either before or soon after an evil Gadol (Bagdahdi) gets killed or dies. I wish I had exact dates but such deaths always seem to happen so close in proximity to each other. What do you think?

    ReplyDelete
  145. In reply to Mark, I posted earlier about “Architect’ of the Law Meir Shamgar” passing at the nearly same unique time as Rav Karelitz zt”l. Rav Karelitz guided the religious in the face of “anti” legal threats against the Torah faithful. Does that not meet your hypothesis? They were both law / Halacha experts. Israel’s Supremes have caused a great amount of damage to Israel. Wasn’t Shamgar a leftist? An admirer of the “nations”? Who will be our halachic guide now?

Reb Dov, what is the consensus about Shamgar? If you can.

    ReplyDelete
  146. This may surprise some, but the Supreme Court in Israel was not always beholden to Erev Rav Leftists. In the previous generation there were more shades of gray. The lack of middle of the road fence sitters is a characteristic of this, the last pre-Messianic generation.

In this vein, Meir Shamgar was NOT a radical anti-Torah Leftist. He was a "revisionist Zionist" who closely followed the philosophical derekh of Zeev Jabotinsky. In the War for Independence, he fought in the Irgun.

So he was no Leftist even if his worldview was secular. During and after the 6 Day War, Shamgar was the Brigadier General who crafted Judea and Samaria's unique territorial status before any Jews returned to live there. None of the above actions made him good or evil.

The election could see a pro Brexit coalition of Conservative and Brexit parties, or an anti Brexit coalition of Liberal democrats and Scottish Nationalists. AP Exclusive: US softens position on Israeli settlements
Pompeo plans to repudiate a 1978 State Department legal opinion that held that civilian settlements in the occupied territories are “inconsistent with international law.” The move will likely anger Palestinians and put the U.S. at odds with other nations working to end the conflict.
Calling the establishment of civilian settlements inconsistent with international law has not advanced the cause of peace,” Pompeo says in the draft. “The hard truth is that there will never be a judicial resolution to the conflict, and arguments about who is right and who is wrong as a matter of international law will not bring peace.”

U.S. administration moves that have weakened Palestinian efforts to achieve statehood have included President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the movement of the U.S. Embassy to that city and the closure of the Palestinian diplomatic office in Washington.

Ayman Odeh, leader of the Joint List of Arab parties in Israel’s Knesset, wrote on Twitter that the change in policy won’t “change the fact that the settlements were built on occupied land upon which an independent Palestinian state will be founded alongside Israel.”

  157. Yes, Chaos starts tomorrow. For 21 days anyone who thinks that they can cobble together 61 seats goes to Rivlin. He then gives that person two weeks to form a government. Some say Gideon Saar will try. If no one can do that, new elections will be scheduled for around Purim. Chaos will reign for 90 days with Bibi STILL PM. Indictments and potential assassination attempts might follow. Hamas, Iran, and Hezbollah will sense intense weakness. And yes, Mashiach will show up before Pesach or maybe by Purim as no one is capable of confronting the existential threat.

If Saar or Edelstein fail to do this over the next 21 days, third elections will be scheduled on the 14th of Kislev (Thursday, Dec 12th) for 90 days of campaigning.... ugh. The third election should be scheduled for 90 days after the 14th of Kislev. That would be on the 15th of Adar, Shushan Purim. But that election will not occur.

  160. The Political Assassination of the Last Mashiach ben Yosef is Now Underway.

Netanyahu thought that he could accomplish what Kahane could not accomplish by being his opposite, pliant and linguine spined. He is now being shown that they hate him no less than they hated Kahane, who was banned from the Knesset in 1988 by the Kach Law written by Armilus (Olmert). He survived longer than Kahane because of his linguine spine. Had he roared like a lion or in the case of Binyamin, had he howled like a wolf, they surely would have assassinated him earlier. This is the end of the secular Medinah from Zecharia 12, except rather than thrusting a dagger through his heart, they are indicting him with accepting a bribe of "good favorable press" in exchange for favorable legislation for a media company. Never in the history of modern Western Civilization was the acceptance of favorable press considered bribery.... until now.

After serving his country for 13 1/2 years as PM, he should be allowed to retire with dignity to write his memoirs, just as that same priveledge was given to Ben Gurion. But they hate him so much that they do not care about whatever institutions they are destroying and whatever so called Civil Rights they are trampling.

The unknown factor is will this be enough to "remove him from office". If he does not leave or if the Supreme Court cannot force him to leave, the Erev Rav will resort to more extreme measures like the one described in Zecharia 12:10.

If anyone has a full list of the Yahrzeits of our Avot, Imahot, and the sons and daughter of Yaakov, please post. It is very useful to have quick access to those Yahrzeits. Shavua tov.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Maurice, or Dov, what is the source for 24 Cheshvan being the Yahrzeit of Binyamin?
The common tradition is 11 Cheshvan, the source for that being Yalkut Shimoni Parshat Shemot. According to that Midrash all the 12 sons of Yaakov died on the same day they were born (as did all of the early Tzadikim), and it lists each one's day of birth and death. By the way, that's also the source of the tradition that Rachel Imeinu's Yahrzeit is on 11 Cheshvan, as she died while giving birth to Binyamin.

  167. Interesting. Is this a well-known tradition? Most calendars list 11 Cheshvan as Binyamin's Yahrzeit. Also an online search gives quite a few results for 11 Cheshvan, e.g.: Chabadpedia, although I did find one in addition to Breslev that lists 24: Emet

    ReplyDelete
  168. Reb Dov, thank you for your answer.
Let's hope it will end well for Netanyahou, better the in Zecharia's 12:10 at least, and for Klal Israel.

Like stated the Vilna Gaon and President Rivlin's 7th forefather Rabbi Hillel from Shklov Rivlin in the Sefer Kol Hator : Mashiah ben Yossef will not die (the Sod in the verse "Od Yossef Haï" in the Torah shebikhtav), but he will suffer great sufferings instead and live.

I may be wrong, but in my opinion Netanyahu should remain PM until he defeats Amalek, which is Iran mixed wit European Union (plus USA under Obama's previous administration), and then leave the job to another PM... since it's a tradition that Amalek falls under the son's of Rahel Imeneou, who are Yossef and Binyamin, but it's just my personal opinion regarding the next big conflict/war Israel will have to win.

Dan G : my source for the 24th Mar Heshvan being Benyamin's yorkhzeit is from an app on my phone ("Cal J", jewish calendar, very useful for the daily prayers), and it seems the app itself go every day extract the yorkhzeits of the day from Breslev.co.il, exactly like stated Reb Dov above.
BTW I did not even know there was a makhloket about Binyamin's yorkhzeit between 11th and 24th, thank you for raising this point.

Our mission, the mission of the great Gaon, light of Mashiach ben Yosef, with regard to the final generation, is as follows: “According to Rabbi Eliyahu, all the steps, all the rules and details concerning the period from the beginning of the Redemption until its conclusion, which include the ingathering of exiles and settlement of the Holy Land--all these are the assignment of the first mashiach, Mashiach ben Yosef. They derive from the left side, that is, from the quality of Din, which prevails when the awakening starts from below, naturally, as occurred at the time of the Second Temple, during the reign of Cyrus. Later on, the redemption will be completed with the quality of Chesed (i.e., Lovingkindness)on the right side, with Mashiach ben David.”

  171. Reb Dov,

Regarding my previous statement above : I believe Netanyahu should resign only after defeating Amalek/Iran, since Bibi is a spark of Mashiah Ben Yossef and Amalek is always defeated by a son of Rahel (Yehoshoua Bin Noun from Yossef, Mordehai hayéoudi, ish Yemini from Binyamin tribe...), so I came to the following conclusion : if Bibi is really going to be toppled before the 3rd elections... like you say, and I accept the fact that it is something likely to occur...

So maybe this means that Amalek/Iran will fall WITHOUT Israel even having to wage a war against them !!!

It would be an incredible and infinite Hessed from Hashem...

It would fit your previous statement regarding you start to believe that we could enter very quickly the era of Mashiah ben David.

Do you think that it's something that could happen, or maybe I get it all wrong ?

  172. Maurice: I believe that your first post was fully accurate. I will get back to it in a minute.

    1. As far as the fall of Amaleq in Persia, I have heard from two separate sources (Rav Yehudah Zeev Leibowitz zt"l and Rav Mordechai Eliyayu zt"l) that even though Bibi deeply believes that it is his mission in life to destroy Amaleq in the Persian Empire, HaShem will not let him personally succeed, for HaShem has another plan... that the destruction of Amaleq in the EU will happen at the same time. Do not under-estimate how utterly and completely evil is the EU especially at their headquarters in Brussels and at the EU Parliament in Strassbourg. We are told by the Gemmorah in Megillah that Amaleq will rise and go forth to destroy Yaakov whenever a United Germany forms an alliance with the Vatican. It happened with the Third Reich, and it is happening with the 4th Reich, the European Union. Since the Union is primarily economic, their evil against Yaakov/ Israel is primarily economic (BDS and labeling products from the territories in order to force us to withdraw to Auschwitz borders). Their weapon is the Euro, which is Roshei Teivot, for Ayin Ra (the evil eye), the currency of Amaleq. Even though Euro is spelled with an Aleph, etymologically Europah comes from the word (ערבה towards the evening) because when the nations headed west from the Tower of Bavel headed into Europe they were headed Aravah towards the Evening while the ones headed east were headed Aishah, towards the morning fireball, the rising sun. So the word Euro should be spelled עורו, the Roshei Teivot for Ayin Ra with other vowels filled in. Make no mistake. A United Europe is full fledged Evil, in full rebellion against G-d. It is no happenstance that the EU Parliament Bldg in Strassbourg is shaped to be a replica of an unfinished Tower of Bavel.

So these two centers for Amaleq in the world (Modern Iran/Persia and the EU specifically in Western European power centers) must destroy each other! ..... after Iran perfects ICBM technology of course.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Jesterhead: Absolutely horrendous. As Bibi slowly loses his grip on power, law and order and enforcement of Israeli sovereignty on places over which there has not been a problem with since 1967, will all break down until Mashiach takes over. It will become as if we are all living in Sederot!

Maurice: 2. Your other point that MBYosef who takes on Amakeq in the world Must be
a descendent of Rachel (or Osnat) whose decendents were give the koach to destroy Amaleq. Children of Leah (and Zilpah) need not apply. Bilhah and her descendents have a supporting role in assisting MB Yosef in this important task since she was Rachel's handmaiden and actually raised Yosef and Binyamin when Rachel died in childbirth. So we see that when Esav died and his eyes (Amaleq) fell on Yaakov's thighs, Chushim ben Dan cut off Esav's head while Naftali rode on horseback or ran to Egypt to retrieve the contract from when Esav sold his birthright. Dan and Naftali were sons of Bilhah

    ReplyDelete
  174. Maurice: And this is where we look specifically at Zecharia 12 to see if we simanim that the power to destroy Amaleq in the world is particularly Matrilinnear in that this power originally came from Rachel Immeinu or Osnat, the wife of Yosef in Egypt. Her connection to this is important because the power to defeat Amaleq in the world did not come specifically from Yosef when he passed on his blessing to Ephraim and Menashe. That power had to originate from their mother, not their father Yosef in the same way that Yosef's and Binyamin's power to defeat Amaleq in the world comes from their mother Rachel. From Zecharia 12 we see that the last Mashiach ben Yosef (or Binyamin) who has the power to defeat Amaleq in the world is tribally a Levite, not a Binyaminite. That Yichus is specifically mentioned in Zech 12, that this last leader is a Levite from the House of Natan. The House of part indicates the part of the yichus which is strictly patrilinnear. When the next yichus point therefore says that he is a descendant of Shimi ben Geira, the prophet says that the FAMILY of Shimi mourns for the slain leader, not the House of Shimi. This would therefore seem to indicate that this last leader is a descendant of Shimi ben Geira ON HIS MOTHER'S Side since he cannot be a descendant of Shimi on his father's side since the previous verse already says that he is a Levite on his father's side. From here we see that once more, Bibi's attachment to Shimi ben Geira is once again Matrilinnear. The way this works is that most of those in the ancestral tree of this last leader from Shimi will be daughters begetting daughters. Occasionally in any particular generation, the X chromosome to defeat Amaleq in the world can pass on through a man who immediately then MUST pass this on to only daughters in the next generation. So we know that Yehoshua bin Nun can be an ancestor of Mashiach ben Yosef because all of his children were daughters! That is correct. Yehoshua bore no sons, only 5 daughters. Curiously, we also learn the laws of Yerushah for women from another son of Yosef, this time from Menashe, not Ephraim. Once again Tzelofchad from Sheivet Menashe ONLY GAVE BIRTH TO 5 DAUGHTERS! So with regards to Malkhut Yosef we learn from Yehoshua bin Nun of Ephraim, but the laws of Yerushah we learn from Tzelofchad of Menashe. One could argue that Malkhut is greater than Yerushah so that in keeping with the fact that Ephraim will surpass the Menashe in greatness, we learn about Malkhut Yosef from Yehoshua of sheivet Ephraim while we learn about the Yerushah of daughters from Tzelofchad of Sheivet Menashe. Some would also say that we learn about Malkhut Binyamin from Queen Esther whose son was Daryavush ben Achashveirosh, the Daryavush that finished building the Second Temple after Esther defeated Amaleq in the Persian Empire. In short, it is for this reason that Zecharia pointedly says that "this last pre-Messianic leader" is from the FAMILY of Shimi ben Geira and not from the House of Shimi ben Geira. The prophet is clearly making the point that the same power to defeat Amaleq in the Persian Empire that Shimi passed on to Esther and Mordechai and that he also passed on to Binyamin Netanyahu at least in thought is very much Matrilinnear.

  175. So one final thought: From where do we see that Osnat bat Dinah, who had been raped, received an X chromosome of Malkhut? Well there is a general rule in the Torah in particular and the Tana"kh in general. When dealing with Jewish women, the Torah will usually tell us who someone's mother is. We see this with Sarah being the mother of Yitzchak all the way down to the Kings of Yehudah where in the Book of Kings, the mother of the king is often mentioned whether the king be a tzaddiq or a rasha. This is important because we have an ancient halakhah that while one's tribal affiliation is patrilinnear, his affiliation to the Jewish people is matrilinnear. This is NOT true with the non-Jewish world where peoplehood seems to be patrilinnear. So in keeping with this, in Genesis when we learn about the descendants of Adam whether through the Kayin line or through the Sheith line, women are rarely mentioned UNLESS knowing the name of those women is an integral part of the story. So we are told about Tuval Kayin's sister, Na'amah, because it is precisely that Na'amah who carried on the human race after the Great Flood because she was Noach's wife! We also know about the two wives of Lamech (the fool) because we learn an important lesson about why before the Flood men often had two wives. One was for "show" and marital relations and was often sterilized so that she would not bear children, and the other was for the practical purpose of propagation. The one for propagation was rarely seen in public with her husband. Now the problem with this account is both of Lamech's wives had at least two children, including the "show" wife who bore for him Tuval-Kayin who engaged in practical metalwork and Noach's wife Na'amah. So the text here does not teach us that their mother Tzilah was sterile. To the contrary, she gave birth to two children. (Rashi does not explain this anomaly.) We do know that their names are mentioned to teach us that Tzilah, the show wife, who was always in the "shadow" of her husband and Adah, who was always shunned, were named thus to teach us about how Lamech related to them and to teach us about how men in the antediluvian world treated their wives.

  176. Other than those rare examples, after Chavah, Adam's wife, women are rarely mentioned in the Genesis account until we learn about Yiskah bat Haran, who was really Sarai by her original name (and therefore mentioned). Curiously we learn about how Haran died in Ur and that he was the father of Lot and Yiskah aka Sarai. Yet, we do not know his wife's name. Yet, with the other brother Nachor who was definitely an idolater and who did not challenge Nimrod in any way, the text on a few occasions tells us that his wife was Milkah, (the feminine side of Malkhut). So, never one to simply accept anomalies, I had to ask WHY? Why does Milkah, a pagan Matriarch, get an honorable mention when Sarai's mother remains nameless? What is the Torah trying to teach? So trace the lineage. Milkah gave birth to Bethuel, one of the protagonists in our story, who then gave birth to Lavan and Rivkah. So if we are passing on the X chromosome of Malkhut from Milkah, it could go to Rivkah who would then have passed it on to Ya'akov or Esav or both. But it would have ended there had Ya'akov had no daughters since the X from a man must go to a daughter. Well Ya'akov had one daughter, Dinah, and she had at least one daughter Osnat who was born when Dinah got pregnant after being raped by Shekhem. Osnat was then raised in Potiphar's House and then married Yosef. At that point she became the mother of Ephraim and Menashe. So that X chromosome that represents the feminine side of Malkhut? Well it came from Milkah who passed it on to Bethuel who passed it on to Rivkah who passed it on to Ya'akov who passed in on to Dinah who passed it on to Osnat who passed it on to Ephraim who could by virtue of this fact like his father Yosef could defeat Amaleq in the world. And for this reason alone, the Torah tells us the name of Nachor's wife after it fails to tell us the name of Haran's wife.

  177. There must be someone else today that comes from this genealogy? Someone else who has the potential to lead the nation. There is such a mess with all political members of the former govt. trying and failing. From the chaos HaShem is maneuvering someone into a position that will not fail. He or she will be able to gather Am Yisrael together in purpose, making it possible for Mashiach to enter the scene, as Rabbi Kessin has explained that the Israelis need to be elevated to a level that will allow Mashiach to be revealed.

    1. House of Natan. Ibn Ezra indicates that this Natan would be understood as a Patriarch of this particular clan. Rav Natan Mileikowsky zt"l, Bibi's grandfather was so much the founding member of this clan that all of his Zionist descendants inserted his first name Natan into their new, more Hebrew sounding last name! You cannot get more evidence that his house was the House of Natan.

Bibi is a Levite, for sure.

And he declared war in a joint session of the US Congress against Amaleq in the Persian Empire ..... on Taanit Esther 5775!

So no, Bibi is that man.

Thank you Reb Dov for those great insights, really impressive...

So maybe the next stage will be the rising of Dan Seriah, who is always with Messiah ben Yossef, and will cut Essav's head and then separate Iran from EU...
And a new PM who will lead the people to an higher level of spirituality befor Mashiah comes

  181. Look at the four Mashiach ben Yosefs (Maybe we should call them Mashiach ben Rachels on their mother's side) of the 20th Century. 3 of them stood out in a strident way. They were either baalei emunah or they "stood in opposition" to the existing order (Yosef Trumpeldour, Avraham Ya'ir Stern, and Rav Meir Kahane). Each one ended up dead, violently murdered long before they could complete their yrs and before they could attain their stated objectives. The fourth one, Yonatan Netanyahu also died young, the only casualty in the Rescue of hostages at Entebbe, Uganda. A sixth one, Mashiach ben Ephraim, very much alive, spent 30 yrs in an American jail but still must be in his home prison cell by 7pm, 7 days per week.

Bibi has to be looking at this and wondering whether he could accomplish his goals by stridently taking on the entire world. I will not make excuses for his numerous failures and cowardice, but the last leader of the Erev Rav to be PM according to Medrash Sefer Eliyahu HaNavi was Ehud Olmert and the last one to be President was Shimon Peres, the Vulture during the long exilic Covenant between the Parts. They were 10000 times worse than Bibi or Reuven Rivlin could ever be. I am sticking by that.

  183. What to make of Turkey's recent actions particularly regarding Libya and the maritime agreement (along with Erdogan's ambitions of bringing about a Neo-Ottoman caliphate as well as backing the likes of Isis and even Boko Haram)?

  184. Dov, I'm taking you at your word that there won't be another election in Israel, meaning that Mashiach will show up before March.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Or there will be a chaotic election, and the soul of Moshe Rabbeinu will come down on Zayin Adar, when or after the polls close on Election Day. And he will be revealed in Nissan before another Knesset is sworn in.
