The Final Rabbinic Regalia

I would like to make my readers aware of a Dvar Torah that the Sefath Emeth (Sefas Emes, Rav Yehudah Aryeh Leib Alter zt"l) said about 130 to 150 yrs ago.   I found it in a very old version of an old Rabbanut Yom HaAtzma'ut Machzor that we still have in our possession.  I found this wort not only amazingly prophetic but a key to unlock how the birth of the State Israel would somehow, someway suddenly one Tisha B'Av in the very near future morph into the vessel for the Messianic Era.  More exactly how would this chaotic mixture of at least 6 million exiles be suddenly made the receptacle for the Coming of Mashiach ben David?  (At this point the Jewish population here is at significantly over 7 million.)  At this time watching the painstaking minuscule Judicial Reforms and the resistance of half the country under the leadership of Armilus (Ehud Olmert אולמרת with a thav or sav), it seems at a cursory glance decades into the future.  As a matter of fact the sheer undignified Chutzpah of leftist pilots to threaten to ground their planes in protest might be the key to encourage Hezbollah to launch a surprise attack when the abandoned airforce jets remain in their hangars.

Either way, we remain in great need of a spiritually rejuvenating event for those secular Israelis who are not from the irredeemable Qlipot of the Erev Rav.  The Prophecy in question is in Ezekiel 37.  We shall call it Ezekiel's backup prophecy of the Arba Ruchot or his Prophecy of the 4 winds, a prophecy on the tail of the Dry bones, but unlike the dry bones prophecy, the 4 winds complimentary prophecy has not yet occurred!  This is how I came by this.

The Sefas Emes made two indelible points.  First he notes that the Shalosh Regalim (Pesach, Shavuot, and Sukkot) are like piercing brilliant sunlight.  They are given in the Torah in several places, particularly in Parshat Emor (Lev 23) and in Parshat Pinchus (Numbers 28-29) and in Parshat Re'eh (Deut 16) amongst other places in the Written Torah.  He then proceeds to make the point that we have two Rabbinic Regalim, festivals of joy or song or both, decreed by Chazal through Ruach HaQodesh either near the time of the end of prophetic inspiration or after the Ages of Prophesy had already terminated.  These Rabbinic festivals, though, are lunar reflections of the Shalosh Regalim!   So where the 3 Regalim from the Torah shine like the Sun, the 2 Rabbinic Regalim reflect the light of the Sun as the Moon does.  He further goes on to hint that at the end of History there will be one more (or two more as we will soon see) Rabbinic festivals to reflect as the Moon does the light of the Torah's three Regalim.

The Sefas Emes then goes on to explain that The 8 days of Chanukah reflected the original dedication of Shlomo HaMelekh's Temple which concluded during the 7 days of Sukkot/ +1 day of Shmini Atzereth.  And then he describes how at Sinai the Written Torah was accepted with love (on Shavuot), but how Klal Yisrael was forced to accept the Oral Torah through coercion by threatening to drop Mt Sinai on their heads.  Only when Queen Esther decreed a 3 day fast to annul in Heaven Haman's extermination decree (during Pesach, by the way), did Klal Yisrael accept the Oral Torah with love during Pesach to alter their original reticence during Shavuot 2448.  The realization of the annulment of the extermination decree was realized the following Purim and Shushan Purim, 11 months later (after the original decree was annulled on the 23rd of Siwan).  To be exact, the Fast of Esther lasted either the 13th, 14th and 15th of Nissan with the first banquet of the King and Haman on the 16th at night and the hanging of Haman on the 17th at night, the 2nd night of Chol HaMoed.  Or the fast was on the 14th, 15th, and 16th of Nissan with the first banquet on the 17th at night and the hanging of Haman on the 18th of Nissan, the third night of Chol HaMoed.  Either way, the Feast of Unleavened Bread on the 1st night of Pesach was canceled that year, for the afternoon of the 14th and the 15th at night were central to Teshuvah b'Ahavah for originally rejecting the Oral Torah.

So this is where the Sefas Emeth's dvar Torah on this subject SEEMS to end, but one realizes that he was saying a lot more.  First of all, let us digress into how Isru Chag of all the festivals is actually from the Torah.  Everyone knows that a Qorban Shlamim was a festive offering that could be brought all year round.  One offered it during the day and after allowing for the Kohen to properly pour its blood at the Altar and to partake of his portion of the Qorban and to give to G-d His portion on the altar, the party of people had 2 days and the night in the middle to festively eat the Qorban.  The following night at Sundown, the Qorban was forbidden at which point if one partakes, he/she gets Karet (spiritual excision).  Now in a majority of circumstances, most people would come to the Tabernacle at Shilo and the Temples in Yerushalayim to offer a Peace offering during the 3 Regalim or Pilgrimage festivals and would offer it up during the festival from the first day, during Chol HaMoed or on the last day of Chag Pesach or on Shmini Atzereth.  In this way, if the Peace offering was offered up during the festival the Peace offering was a Chagigah which could be eaten on the day that it was offered + one additional day.  Shavuoth stands out as a one day festival, but our sages made it possible to offer up Qorbanot for 6 additional days so that Israel or later just Judea would not neglect to come for just one day of Shavuot.  Imagine walking for 3 days and turning back around on Isru Chag 2 days later to walk home for 3 days!  I believe these extra 6 days for Shavuot are D'Rabbanan though.  So the only D'Oraita day to turn your Peace offering into a Chagigah was on Shavuot (6th of Siwan or day 50 of Sefirat HaOmer) itself.  But once again as with other Festive offerings (Chagigot), the Qedushah of that Chagigah lasted until the end of Isru Chag, that one day after the holy party seemed to be over.  In this way that one day after had the Qedushah of the days of the festival, at least the Qedushah of Chol haMoed for anyone still partaking of a Qorban Chagigah.  This is the spiritual essence of Isru Chag.

So going back to the words of the Sefas Emes, what did he mean that Purim and Pesach were lunar reflections of 2 of the 3 Shalosh Regalim?  To be the lunar reflection of something, one needs to follow the regularity of the cycles of the Moon!  So just like Pesach is the full moon for the month of Nissan, Purim and Shushan Purim are at the Full moon for the previous month of Adar.  So Purim falls exactly one lunar cycle (30 days) before Pesach begins.  And the way the holy calendar usually works, the full moon for 30 day months like Nissan is the 15th of the month while the Full moon for 29 day months like Adar or Adar Sheini is between the 14th and 15th of Adar or Adar Sheini!  Now THIS is what the Sefas Emes ALSO  meant, for how is Purim a "lunar reflection" of Shavuot simply because it completed the acceptance of the Oral Torah that had begun on Shavuot 2448??  What does accepting the Oral Torah out of Love have to do with the cycles of the Moon?  Why mention the Moon at all?  But here we see that Purim really is a lunar reflection of Pesach!  Now going to the end of Chag Sukkot/Shmini Atzereth 6 months later we recognize that Shmini Atzereth is on the 22nd of Tishrei and Isru Chag is on the 23rd of Tishrei.  From there, the end of Isru Chag, we count forward, not 30 days, but 60 days or 2 lunar cycles.  In every year Tishrei has 30 days, and in most years (not every year) Cheshvan has 29 days.  So 60 days after the end of the day on Isru Chag Sukkot we reach Sundown on the 25th of Kislev, the first night of Chanukah!  Now THIS is what the Sefas Emes was referring to!  Both Purim and Chanukah are lunar reflections of Pesach and Sukkot, one 30 days before and the other 60 days after Isru Chag.  And only at the End of Days would there be a certain prophecy which would come to pass divided in two, part of it 30 days prior to Shavuot and part of it 60 days after the 7th of Siwan, Isru Chag of Shavuot.  So in this way do the words of the Sefas Emes really make sense.  The question then comes down to which prophecy, how can we pin it down, and how do we know that that very prophecy comes in two parts separated by years of doubt or better yet a Nisayon.

To be continued.....

Just to give a preview, the Prophecy in question is the Haftarah of Chol HaMoed Pesach, the first half of Ezekiel 37.  It is the prophecy chosen for Shabbat Chol HaMoed Pesach for a reason, to be the Acharit HaYamim prophesy for both Pesach, Sefirat HaOmer, until the day of Atzereth (Shavuot) itself.  Exactly 30 days prior to Shavuot is Hey B'Iyar, The Day of the Dry Bones.  It is a oft quoted joke of Chareidi non-Zionists that Yom HaAtzmaut (Independence Day) is really Yom Atzamot (Day of the Dry Bones).  The really funny thing is that the joke IS the Truth, the physical redemption of Israel without the Ruchniyut Redemption, and G-d in the year 5708, 3 years after Auschwitz, was not laughing.  Exactly 60 days after Isru Chag of Shavuot is Tisha B'Av, the long awaited future event that can be best translated as the Prophecy of the 4 Winds, the future event which has not yet occurred.  It IS a separate prophecy in Ezekiel 37.  First he prophesied on the dry bones, and when he saw that there was no spirit in those ingathered exiles, HaShem told him to prophesy over the 4 winds.  So Ezekiel in that rather short Haftarah for Chol HaMoed Pesach, prophesied twice, once about the physical redemption on Hey b'Iyar, the ingathering of Dry Bones, that everyone remembers and once about the spiritual redemption on Tisha B'Av, the Arba Ruchot, that few even know about.

More than anything I wanted to discuss my thoughts on other matters, but I want this posted by Rosh Chodesh Av.  Chodesh tov.

  3. I think we are at a moment of grave danger for Israel.

The Iranian nuclear threat - and remember according to scientists they could already have a bomb.
I personally think they have already have a small number, probably "on loan" to North Korea.

The threats from Iran through their proxies in Gaza, Jenin, Lebanon and Syria.

The civil strife in Israel - strife between Jews. The Judicial Reforms are simply the excuse/catalyst for divisions to show themselves in a terrible way.

The promotion of licentiousness in Israel.
I can understand how some people are less religious, or even not religious.
But to promote anti-religious and such flagrant non-Jewish values in Israel is not nice to see.
I am not in favour of violence or bullying against the "Pride people".
If that is what their feelings are, then as humans have free will, they will do what they do anyway. And there is no doubt that amongst their numbers have been those who have been murdered or committed suicide because of this which is tragic.
But to publicly promote this lifestyle in Israel is so strange to me.

    The world economy.
People are on very tight budgets. Debts are rising.
The Chinese property and logistics giant Evergrande just posted losses of 81 Billion US dollars.
Such things rock the world economy.

Russia is the Bear that is roaring in Ukraine.
    It threatens nuclear weapons use.
China is sizing up Taiwan, and is conducting a worldwide industrial espionage war on a massive scale.

The USA has a President who just does not seem well enough to be President, backed by a Party which has a sizeable anti-Semitic support with values that do not espouse the best of America as we once knew it.

    And anti-Semitism continues to rise.

The youth are hooked on gimmicky social media, at danger to their personalities and mental health.

Against such conditions humankind is struggling to find a way out.
So only Hashem through Mashiach can save us.

  4. It seems to me that everything is running according to Hashem's schedule. Let's daven for Moshiach before Tisha b'Av (not motzei, it's too hot to fast!). Herzog gave a nice speech. He had to address our debate. I would have preferred he leave that out. It's none of their business. And I would have preferred a lot less kumbaya. The opposition has planned a march from TA to Yerushalayim. Our side will have a rally on Kaplan street on yom rishon. Both events coincide, I think. Should be interesting.

The new pieces of information regarding my question of which I was not aware was the Lubavitcher Rebbe's zt"l view on Yehonatan's suffering in solitary confinement and the absurd length of his sentence and how that shaped Rav Mordechai Eliyahu's zt"l view and thrice annual visits to Yehonatan in jail.

  13. Is Ehud Barak today's Korach? Has everyone seen the video of Barak laying out his true intentions? It's from 3 years ago, well before judicial reforms and anything else. You must listen to what he says. He knew that overthrowing Bibi would never work, although that was the goal. Instead, the battle cry will be democracy. Korach and all his followers were swallowed up by the earth. We won't see that event again. But, what will Hashem do with this modern-day Korach and his followers? 15. Civil wars are complex.

    They can follow this pattern.

There is side A, trying to change the status quo.
    And their external allies.

There is side B, trying to preserve the status quo.
    And their external allies.

There is side C, who fight all of the above in an attempt to keep the war away from them.

There is side D, who don't fight. They just keep on with their lives.

And there are external peacekeepers imposed on the county.
    Whose hands are usually tied.

    Well over the fast.

    1. Armilus (Olmert) is mentioned by name as the last leader of the Erev Rav at the very very end of history. He will "attempt" to assassinate Bibi. In Medrash Sefer Eliyahu he is called אלמרת, interestingly with a Tav and not a Tet so that unlike a Tet, a Tav is soft without a dagesh. It has often been pronounced Th or S in the Ashkenazic nusach. So Olmert's letters are the same letters in Armilus, removing all doubt that Olmert is Armilus. He also played an integral role in the death of the 4th Mashiach ben Yosef, Rav Meir Kahane zt"l. Olmert himself wrote the Kach Law for Likud in 1987, banning from Kahane from running for the 1988 Knesset elections where he had a serious chance to attract more than 10% of the vote. Olmert therefore destroyed Kahane's political career. 2 yrs later once Kahane's crowning achievements were denied to him, he was dead by an assassin's bullet. So as a political assassin, this would be Armilus's 2nd Mashiach ben Yosef.

    2. I forgot to mention Sefer Kol HaTor explicitly mentions Armilus by name as the leader of the Erev Rav who would start a Civil War in Sefer Kol HaTor to stand firmly in the way to prevent the spiritual Renaissance which allows Mashiach ben David to rise. Those who refuse to fight this Civil War against Armilus and the Erev Rav are to be held accountable for allowing evil to flourish. At this stage, the Left has declared war as the Right goes about its business passing legislation limiting Supreme Court powers.

The War in Psalm 83 will not start out well as the Erev Rav disintegrates. No amount of Popularity amongst the Western World's Reprobate Majority will help them win. When the bombs fly from Bint J'biel (Daughter of Gevel), the last thing we will be concerned about is how popular Ashkenazi secular Tel Avivans are in the eyes of the Western World's growing Reprobate Majority. In that way will Mashiach come.

      Psalm 83

      ז אָהֳלֵי אֱדוֹם, וְיִשְׁמְעֵאלִים; מוֹאָב וְהַגְרִים. 7 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagrites;

      ח גְּבָל וְעַמּוֹן, וַעֲמָלֵק; פְּלֶשֶׁת, עִם-יֹשְׁבֵי צוֹר. 8 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;

All the nations mentioned in Psalm 83, numbered 83 for a reason, have gathered together in Southern Lebanon against us.

Notice that this final war begins with the "tents of Edom and Yishmael". Ammon and Moav are the Palestinians in Judea and Samaria according to the Targum Yonatan. Peleshet is probably a reference to the Arabs in Gaza (Hamas). Biden's leftist Jews in his Administration have basically parroted Hezbollah's demand on us in exchange for removing those Hezbollah tents on Har Dov. So those tents are both Edomi and Yishmaeli. Gevel was an ancient nation in ancient, north-central Lebanon that migrated southward toward the border with ancient Israel toward the Galil. Gevel founded a new city in the South called Bint J'biel (Daughter of Gevel) where Hezbollah is most entrenched today. Gevel is the Gavlan quoted in the last Mishneh is Sotah. Amaleq is both The Persian Mullahs and the EU especially its headquarters in Western Europe. And Tyre well is still Tyre, even though Tyre metaphorically might represent a modern nation also surrounded by a moat, the USA.
Hagrim are other children of Hagar after Avraham let her go because of Sarah's prophesy. Not sure if this refers to the Bnai Qeturah. Well that accounts for everyone mentioned in Psalm 83 (for 5783??)..

  28. We are overwhelmed by the Erev Rav and our dependence on the United States who undermines our every avenue of self- defense. Something extra-ordinary needs to happen to spring us free of both, something that no one of flesh and blood can control or regulate. About 1200 pilots are refusing to defend the country right now. They are on strike against Judicial Reform. Apparently the AirForce favors secular Leftist Ashkenazi Reprobate Popularity seekers to replace all the pilots from the previous generation who were also secular Leftist Ashkenazi Reprobate Popularity seekers, not so different than the Judges on the Supreme Court. They would rather destroy the country that they helped to build than to relinquish their control. They may get their wish.

That is so obvious, I figured that also. So in a couple of months, the cosmic clock will run out on this one also ? And is that a good thing ? Same old stupid woke policies without him to put a brave face on them, I say.
There was briefly this video I couldn't share a while ago. I talked about how Bush Senior already knew Stepdad Southoro. Might have been CIA agent. Certainly after working for that Oil Company he knew him. That's why Bush gave a candy to Michelle to unwrap, because the inside joke was that Senior did that already to little Barack.
If you google this you get some results. Makes sense, but doesn't really change things for us. For American people it might be too late.

    1. Iran and Hezbollah will go on the offensive as America regresses in the world. As long as they need dollars to prevent themselves from starving or crashing economically, they will refrain from attacking. (At least they will think three times before attacking.) As soon as America crashes economically or when the Dollar ceases to be the world's reserve currency, they will surely go on the offensive.

Yet, if they get enough hints that the US will not replenish Iron Dome or that the US will be neutral in a war between Israel and Iran or that the US hates settlers more than their brand of Islam, a surprise could happen at any minute. Right now Bibi is afraid of his own shadow. He cannot even dismantle 2 or 3 tents on Har Dov without risking American contempt. Hezbollah is looking at that and is sharpening their missiles. So I am holding by Rav Bar Chaim's assessment.

  40. Yes, on Bibi's mother side, he is the 5th Mashiach ben Yosef. But according to Zekharia 12, the last king of the pre-Messianic kingdom is actually a descendant of Shimi ben Geira who was King Shaul's nephew (from his royal househood) because sadly Yehonatan ben Shaul died on Mt. Gilboa. I would need to check if Mephiboshet was the son of Ish Boshet or Yehonatan ben Shaul.

The first 4 MBYs whose anointment as MBY is Matrilineal were Yosef Trumpeldour, Avraham Yair Stern, Yonatan Netanyahu, and Rav Meir Kahane, all of whom died violently. Bibi, G-d forbid would be the 5th. It turns out that MBY can either be matrilinearly from Shevet Binyamin or Ephraim with a lower possibility from Menashe because the B'nai Rachel and the B'nai Osnat have the ko'ach to defeat Amaleq to a lesser or greater extent. The final or 6th MBY must be matrilinearly from Ephraim since Ephraim had the greatest brakhah to do so through the daughters of Yehoshua bin Nun since Yehoshua had the greatest merit amongst the descendants of Yosef and Binyamin (with Esther and Mordechai a close second). This 6th MBY is often called Mashiach ben Ephraim (including in the Yalkut Shimoni) mentioned before who spent decades in solitary confinement. He will be the one to finally defeat Amaleq in the world..... if Bibi fails to complete the task. In most cases, not all, MBY has a Yud Key Vav in his name. The first name is preferable to the last name since his anointment is matrilinear. This points to Yehonatan Pollard as the last MBY if Bibi fails.

In both cases with Rav Meir Kahane and with Bibi, the arch-enemy from the Erev Rav is Olmert (Armilus). Olmert actually wrote the Kach Law banning Kahane from running for PM in 1988. This is a brief survey of a very complicated subject.

  41. Bibi would fail because of 6 words. He has no Emunah in HaShem. Period. You cannot defeat Amaleq in the world without Emunah. So so far, Bibi has failed to rectify the shortcomings of Shimi's Uncle Shaul HaMelekh.

  42. And as ALSO mentioned in Zekharia 12, Mashiach ben Yosef/ Binyamin MUST be a Levi or a Kohen, for when and if he is thrust through with a dagger by Armilus (G-d forbid), the House of the Levi'im sit Shiva for him as dutifully is recorded in Zekharia 12. Rav Meir Kahane was a Kohen (of course), and both Bibi Netanyahu and Yehonatan Pollard are Levi'im. So Matrilinearly MBY is from Binyamin or Ephraim (or Menashe) while patrilinearly he is a Kohen or a Levi. It seems though if a candidate for MBY is not successful, the Angel of death cuts him down pre-maturely. That at least is the history of the matter. Just Look at the list of MBYs above.

  43. About Bibi lacking in emunah...this is 100% correct and I agree, it is the cause of his downfall. His emunah is in America and that's why he's so desperate to have that photo op with Beeden in the White House. According to rumor, the next ambassador could be a shomer mitzvot yid. If true, it should be interesting to see how those "shared values" play out.

  47. Thanks to poster above about video of Rabbi Isser Weisberg. I think he is right about 2027 (5787) being the keitz. In Daniel the 1290 and 1335 years until the end begin with the Dome of the Rock being built in 692, add those years you get the window of 1982-2027 for the keitz. The 5787th verse in the Torah also hints to this. Rabbi Alexander Hool has also calculated the 2300 years prophecy in Daniel to come out to 2037 as well. Since it is a process and probably takes a few years to rebuild the Temple, Mashiach could come at anytime now hopefully this year he is revealed.

    2. I am absolutely NOT a xtian or messianic God forbid and I mentioned dates in book of Daniel not the New Testament! You must have been confused years ago I was going to do a blog exposing the lies of the New Testament but never did do that! I was a former xtian but for the last 25 years I have followed Torah! So where did I quote the New Testament in my comment??

    3. Issachar and Yosef Reuven? You did not quote the N.T. I noted that in another Comment. See below Thanks for clarifying. I received queries because your name link leads to a blog with no posts: New Testament Revelations I was asked if you were a Xtian.

But Xtians can post here which is what I answered as long as they do not quote the N.T. And as I noted below, you did not quote the N.T. So there is zero problem. Sorry for assuming that you were. I certainly did not mean it as an insult.

There are 2 billion Xtians in the world. A lot of them, more so amongst the Protestants, are really decent human beings. Their Trinitarian imperfections and theological inversions and sophistries do not prevent them from commenting here as long as they don't attempt them here.

  50. Rav Michael Skobac of Jews for Judaism and Rav Tovia Singer have the best online polemeics against Xtian Missionizing. Rav Skobac has several series promoting Judaism to Jews, some of the best on the Internet. In a world filled with the Theological falsehoods of 2 billion Xtians and 1.7 billion Muslims, the less than 12 million Jews need to know the foundations of Truth. We are awash in the inundation of these blatant confusions. When I bought and sold used textbooks years ago in rural Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois, I was often bombarded with "goodwill" attempts to join the Xtian cult of billions of confused people. I think they believed that with so many adherents, they must be right at the core. But there really are a number of basic logical arguments in which Xtian assertions can easily be proven fallacious. Surprisingly, for a religion with 2 billion adherents, some of these arguments proving Xtianity false are rather simple.

    1. I totally agree with you, it’s pretty obvious how false churchianity is but when you are raised on it from a young child it seemed to make sense at the time. After years of intense study I finally totally rejected the false religion about 25 years ago! It is mind boggling how brain washed they are and refuse to see the truth of Torah.

  51. So, Tuvia. You make a distinction between "churchianity" and Christianity. That sounds like you still view Christianity as somehow acceptable. It's just what the "church" did with it that you have rejected. You say you have rejected the "false religion" which can mean many things. But did you also reject JC? There are a lot of former Christians who claim they have given up "the old life" and "embraced Torah" when what they really mean is they have returned to the first-century "Judaic" practice of Christianity and to them JC is the Torah as it says in the NT. Your choice of language is very suggestive.

  52. I don't understand the pussyfooting. We're not politicians. I have travelled widely, and most people everywhere are quite nice. It's not about your personal relations with your neighbour, your friend or with any other xn you know. That really seems to confuse some Jews. That is not the issue. It's theology.

Xnty isn't a lie, it's a huge labrinth of lies and deceit. Anyone who follows it should renounce it and become a Noachide, which includes giving up idolatry. That is the Jewish position, and anyone who quotes the Rambam partially, is only cherry-picking and not quoting the whole section.

Using their terminology for their book is highly problematic, containing as they do a world of false theology in just two words. The Torah is eternal, not old, and will never be replaced. If you want to refer to it, I would suggest calling it their book. Personally I don't understand why you want to encourage them. Even if they don't quote from their book, they are still pushing their theology. If you are going to engage with them, why not teach them the Seven Noachide Laws?

    L.L.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Of course we should teach them the 7 Noachide Laws. And of course we should tell them that Xtianity is idolatry, recognizing that the Protestant world DID advance somewhat from this Idolatry by ridding their crosses of P'salim (statues) and pictures of Yoshke in the 16th and 17th Centuries. At least their crosses, toward which the pray, are bare. We should tell them though that the conception of the Trinity is STILL idolatry (but it still is the major improvement from the Catholic and Orthodox Xtian statues and Pictures of their god which preceded the Reformation.) I would argue perhaps at another time that the United States of America was made possible because of this Protestant Reformation and would never have become a country, a Nation under G-d, if the attempt were made by Catholics or Orthodox Xtians (an attempt that would have remained impossible). And while I find Fundamentalist Xtian theology confusing and detestable, I find many individual fundamentalist Xtians as human beings some of the finest people in the Beriah in terms of character development and human decency. However they got there by recognizing Israel's G-d and His Commandments and being in awe of the Exodus from Egypt, albeit by finding leniencies for Evil people where none exists (by being part of Yoshke's cult of forgiveness by dying for their sins), these are the people most likely who will abandon their Trinitarian Idolatry when Mashiach ben David actually comes. They are far more likely to repent and remain alive after GogUMagog than the secular Leftist Reprobate popularity seeking garbage that has destroyed Western Civilization (and whatever good actually existed in it) since the onset of Marxism and Hegelism. Of course their, the Left's, powers of destruction picked up steam at the end of WW1 and by 1967 they readied themselves to destroy the possibility of a world united under the Kingdom of the Almighty. My point being, individual Xtians can be some of the finest people who will actually do teshuvah as Mashiach comes. The Leftist garbage that destroyed the Olam HaZeh staying power of Xtian and G-d revering Civilization will not survive. I recognize that Xtian and G-d revering are not the same, but they do overlap. For the most part, the Reprobate gender changing, morally relativistic 2/3rds of humanity that has no part to play in these discussions will not be numbered amongst the morally decent but theologically confused fundamentalist Xtians as the blessed time of the real Mashiach approaches.

You may disagree, but at Age 63, I have some Chochmah on these matters.

      Delete
    2. And I recognize that many readers of this blog have had some horrible experiences with fundamentalist Xtians and are not willing to recognize what I just wrote. I admit that my personal experiences in life were quite the opposite. I grew up in the dark, Leftist popularity infatuated claws of Reform Judaism. At age 10 I predicted that Leftist Judaism would leave its mark on the spiritual and moral destruction of the United States before I turned 60, a prediction which sadly came true. I have written before in the Comments section about how before I encountered Torah Judaism, the only people that dealt with me personally from a perspective of building personal character to reflect the Will of the Creator were the Conservative Xtians I grew up with. I barely saw this amongst my Jewish peers and amongst Reform Rabbis. In the end, in my 20s, I ended up agreeing with the Xtians I was exposed to regarding their ideas about G-dly character development while rejecting their confusing theology, and through long and hard reflection and learning, I became a Baal Teshuvah once I became convinced about the Truth of the Torah.

So my path to the Torah did not involve any animosity toward Conservative Xtians just toward their warped as a pretzel theology. Thank G-d that I rejected this warped theology. But to say that I am free of this animosity toward Leftist Judaism, I cannot say that. The damage to my life, to America in general, and in their attempt to thwart the Coming of Mashiach keeps reverberating. They spiritually forced homosexual marriage in America through the Supreme Court, and now they are using Israel's Supreme Court to endanger our lives in every possible way. You cannot forgive people of earlier crimes from when I was young when over 50 years later the same people are committing the same crimes 1000 fold worse. After years of thinking about this matter, I recognize over the Centuries, Xtianity has been Judaism's most implacable foe, but the Leftist secular destruction of the last 200 years has now outstripped in the last 110 years since the onset of Bolshevism and Fascism the damage of 1700 years of Constantine based Xtian political hegemony.
But I believe G-d allowed this for a reason.... He allowed these popularity infatuated Leftists to succeed for a reason.... Later

  55. Again it's not about personal experiences. The point is what xns are still trying to do to this day. We should care very much about them chalila converting even one Jewish neshama. And they are, more than one. Doesn't that bother you? Rav Adis shlita, a huge tsadik said that the war in shamayim is with xnty, and that anyone who wants to see yeshuot should pray for its destruction. He didn't differentiate between the thousands of denominations. It's one thing, maybe the quakers are not as bad as the catholics, but it's still one thing.

We are literally being flooded with missionaries (enabled by Jews) and xns, most of the 73000 new olim last year were xn, natural growth less deaths 130,000, three quarters jewish, about 96k and about 14k Jewish olim, net Jewish growth, 110,000 at most, net gentile growth 90,000. All approximately. We are being diluted in terms of numbers, and missionaries are infiltrating everything the army, yishuvim, the education system. This has nothing to do with personal experiences. All of this is happening now.

Our job is to strengthen Yahadut and Jews, even those furthest away and those you consider problematic and even if only by tefila, xnty is theologically irrelevant to us. People everywhere are very nice, I have lived and travelled in many countries, many Muslims are lovely people, I had Muslim roommates. Both my Irish catholic neighbour on one side and my Cypriot Muslim neigbour on the other prayed for then unbelieving Jewish me to pass my gruelling thirty six hours of professional exams in six days straight. Lovely people. In Thailand a man I didn't know took me to hospital in sluggish Bangkok traffic, waited for me and took me back to my hotel. It must have taken over eight hours. He left before I could even say thank you. I could write all day of the many kindnesses I experienced and witnessed from people all around the world, of every religion and no religion. I don't know why you seem to think that xns are better people. In fact, recent history, not hundreds of years ago, those fascist, nazis etc were predominantly xn, shows otherwise. In Asia, people ask with genuine astonishment how could Europeans have done what they did. Once you get out of xndm, in Japan, Thailand etc, and you see the lack of antisemitism, you see just how very screwed up it is. Antisemitism is currently all times high in xn countries. It doesn't matter if people are devout or not, like the UK, it's part of their language, literature and culture. Antisemitism is their heritage. It took until about 2015 and a legal battle to get the deathtothjews, mortaujuifs hamlet to change its name. Germany ruled fairly recently that the judensau jewpig statues stay. Heaven forfend that anyone touch their centuries of xn jew hatred. Can you imagine if it had been the other way around? The outrage. Golliwogs out, judensaus stay.

    1. Yes, Xtianity especially in Germany and some other ghastly places in Europe can be an atrocious ugly foe. But what is amazing is that there have been 2 extinction level events since 1917 that have occurred to European, mostly Ashkenazi Jewry in the last 110 years, and neither event was perpetrated by Xtianity (neither 70 years of Soviet and Russian forced atheism nor the Holocaust). The Bolshevicks were anything but Xtians, and the Nazis were supported by the Catholic Church even though most upper level Nazis had a pagan worldview and believed in ancient Germanic or Persian or Babylonian pagan motifs. Neither Nazism nor Bolshevism were specifically promoting a Xtian worldview. And the Xtian cross was not used specifically to stow the fires of Genocide (even if many Jew hating Xtians supported the fascist state). But the numbers tell the tale. In the early 1930s, there were 10 million Jews in Europe. Hitler's Europe's greatest extent of Conquest included a population of 7 million Jews. 6 million were murdered, 6 out of every 7 Jews. About 1 million survived and went to the US or Eretz Yisrael after the War. Of the four million Jews who lived under the Soviet's greatest expansion after WW2, barely 2 million survived after the Holocaust and 70 years of forced atheism, and the vast majority of them survived as atheists and ambivalent agnostics of whom a small minority have become Baalei teshuvah. Reflect on the nature of that double Churban before continuing any discussion, and ask why G-d would set us up for "spiritual failure" after that double whammy. 1700 years of European Xtianity could barely hold a candle to the last 110 years of European history. And even though there were pockets of Sephardic Jews in Amsterdam, Rome, and Salonika, the vast Majority who underwent that double Churban double extinction event were Ashkenazic Jews. So the question is 2 fold. Why were Ashkenazim targeted, and what level of Torah observance can be expected after that double whammy? And then question #3. Why was the most ignorant 1/3rd of world Jewry in 90% Ashkenazi America spared both extinction Churbanot where in Europe, 1/2 of Jewish men murdered by Hitler put on tefillin daily while in America less than ten percent even after the Shoah put on tefillin daily. And now over 75 years later, 80 to 90 percent of non-Shomer Shabbat American Jews are now intermarrying, a third Ashkenazi Churban on the tail of the first two, all in less than 110 years!!! So the question we need an answer to is Why did G-d allow this set up for failure where the vast majority of secular leftist Ashkenazi Jews (who are either atheists or ambivalent) are enjoined in a rampage against the spiritual survival of their own people and are in the process of completing a third spiritual Churban through inter-marriage and mass assimilation? And none of these 3 Ashkenazi Churbanot are coming as a result of our great historical foe, Xtianity. More Jews are loss to "Jews for Real Estate" than Jews for Yoshke today by orders of magnitude. Why did HaShem do it this way?

What's the end game? What's their goal? What do they think will change? The "campaign" has no purpose other than harassment. Which by the way, if they screamed in my ear, I would file a charge of harassment against them. They're totally controlled by the satan! The same with these red KKK women who want to march in Bnei Brak to "save us frum women from our controlling husbands and fathers..." What do they hope to achieve other than to disturb the peace? Women and girls are going to suddenly run outside from their homes naked? or dressed like zonas? They're demonic forces, and because of this, they're much more dangerous. Only HKBH can vanquish them, which He will, very soon.

  60. They are the same Erev Rav. The Erev Rav most represent the Avodah Zarah with the Face of a Dog. They cater, shape, and develop their personalities to appeal to the highest percentage of young adults engaging in deeper and darker acts of moral perversity that were the norm for each decade since the Middle third of W. Civilization began its 49 year slide toward the Abyss in 1967. So in the mid-60s they pushed heterosexual but blatantly immodest promiscuous relations in public parks. In the 70s they pushed the unfettered right to murder their unborn children. They pretended that it was not murder by arguing its her body and her unseen appendage. In the 80s they pushed corporate takeovers and destroying the lives of thousands of employees to pay off their indebtedness because of their own stupid investments in high interest but toxic corporate junk bonds. Each time they sunk to a lower level, they wore a coat and a tie and made it seem like they were observing the cultural norms of their parents who beat the Nazis in WW2 and held the Communists at bay in Korea. They would argue their case before the Supreme Court and make it look like in America for instance that they were abiding by its 200 to 220 year old Constitution. In 2016, the -49th floor gave way or like Wily Coyote they followed the Road Runner off a Cliff. I guess that only now, a few years later, they are about to go splat on the Ground.

All the arguments for growing perversion in San Francisco and Tel Aviv were argued before a growing list of more and more progressive judges, but it was done in a way that at least played homage to the customs of Civility of their parents and their parents'parents. That all ended in the Summer of 2016, 49 years later. All their tactics are in your face because that is how the bulk of Millennials and Gen Z adults prefer it. There is no cultural norm which is sacred anymore. Think of it this way. Since the mid-60s San Francisco was the world headquarters for the Occult. While promiscuous acts were out in the open, the Worship of a Prince of Demons (Ashmodai or Baal Peor) was still behind closed doors. In 2016 suddenly San Fran started to have a growing problem with public piles of human feces. I believe that their problem with human waste has grown five fold in the last 7 years. What everyone failed to realize is that around 2016, Baal Peor worship was no longer confined to small gatherings of occult practitioners in private homes. He is now wandering the streets of San Fran where throngs of his worshipers are now leaving offerings so to speak of of human waste on street corners and public alleyways. He and his worshipers have come full circle. Baal Peor is once again Baal Zevuv, the lord of the flies.

The Leftist popularity infatuated Jew tyrants are still our overlords.

I am studying Psalm 83 in depth. That war seems to be our salvation from the Erev Rav. I am convinced that Assaf's reference to the nation of Gevel was a forewarning of Hezbollah's military and precision guided missile army headquartered in Bint J'biel (the Daughter of Gevel). It is amazing. I have now personally met Yehonatan Pollard on 5 occasions. I have heard him speak 6 times in person. Who would have thought that such a thing was possible in 2014. Miracles are possible. He confirmed that part about Bint J'biel. He knows more military and nuclear intelligence than Gantz, Eizenkot, and Ashkenazi put together. He is more than a glint in the eye of his ancestor Yehoshua bin Nun.

    This is awful.
I hope the Yidden can form a 24 hour guard over the site.

Even the Saudi Arabians value heritage. They have fenced off access to the probable Mount Sinai that is in Midian (Jebel al-Lawz), and also the stones there with ancient calf paintings. And they have a guard post there too. They are not taking any chances that such an extraordinary place will be desecrated by tourists or souvenir hunters.

What can we do to stop this travesty? Outside of Sefer Bereishit, I am aware of only 2 Mizbeachot that were commanded in the Torah from Shemot through Devarim in the Torah to be built: The Copper Mizbeach for the Mishkan and the whole stones Mizbeach on Har Eival that Archeologist Adam Zertal zt"l found between the years 1978- 1980. This Mizbeach, originally built by Yehoshua bin Nun (commanded to do so by Moshe Rabbeinu in Parshat Ki Tavo) and improved upon during the Era of the Shoftim, is a National treasure for Klal Yisrael. Are we going to sit idly by and allow these Resha'im to build an isolated neighborhood over it for the purpose of destroying it? What is or can be done to stop this?

I wish I were in less pain at this time in order to write more about this.

    2. Yishai Fleischer's version of Derekh HaAvot

I am sure this might upset some, but this is Yishai Fleischer's baby. I think he was the first one to promote Route 60 as the Biblical Highway. He is focusing here 99% on the Tana"kh even though he gives his 1% nod to Xtians because they would constitute most of the tourists. But all of his Hasbarah about Derekh HaAvot relates to events from the time of the Avot, the Judges, Ancient Israel, and Ancient Judea including the 2nd Temple period.

Sadly, we have a fact to contend with. 75% of American Jews and 40% of Israelis despise the heritage of "Rte 60" (including Mt. Eival in the Menashe Hill country) because their connection to it detracts from their personal popularity amongst their leftist friends in Europe and in America. Frankly they are immersed so strongly into this Personal Popularity Avodah Zarah that I doubt more than 5% of them over the course of time from 1967 until Mashiach comes will ever return to the Torah. Right now 85-90% of Reform Jews are starting families with gentile spouses. 85-90% are GONE from our Heritage unless Mashiach comes immediately, and they divorce their gentile wives.. They have flown off the cliff of G-d centered Civilization often leading the way with their gentile Sodomite Constituency. The bulk of Americans who are keenly interested in the Heritage of Derekh HaAvot that Yishai is promoting here are Conservative Xtians. Fleisher who promotes Hevron to the world has a 60- 75 million strong audience populated with primarily Fundamentalist Xtians. Amongst the tourist world, maybe 2 million Jews can count themselves amongst Yishai's P.R. target audience. The other Jews in the world outside of Israel are running away from the heritage of Derekh HaAvot as fast as their inter-marriage rate can take them. So what is a P.R. guy like Yishai Fleisher to do with these statistics?

    3. So the immediate question that anyone concerned with Jewish survival and our prophetic future will ask, "How do we keep out the Missionary snakes?" We have readers here that have made their views known. It is one of the reasons why we need Mashiach now and not in 5787. If Fleischer builds the path to bring tourists, there will be snakes that follow.

  78. I would prefer 65 million Noachides to 65 million Xtians, but that is not the way that G-d set it up. He chose gods of wood (Xtianity) and stone (Islam) as the bulk of the world's Monotheistic gentiles at the End of Days with maybe 20 or 30 million Noachides. Why are there 3.5 billion Xtians and Muslims and only 30 million Noachides? That is a subject for another day.

  81. I guess I'm one of the people you're referring to. They are not personal views. Rav Adis who is a huge tsadik said that the war in shamayim is with xnity. The Rambam is absolutely scathing about them, as is Rav Eliezer Berkovitz a contemporary of the shoah, Faith after the Shoah. Jews are an independent faith community, Rav Soleveitchik. Anyone Jew-washing xnty is doing it by daat yachid. I am not talking about being civil to your xn neighbour, colleague etc as a human being, but embracing them specifically as xns, and/or their theology is absolutely forbidden. Jews are not allowed to receive tsedaka money from them. It's explicit in the Rambam. We are not allowed to settle idolators in EY. Of course they should be fought by anyone who is able to do that, and not just leave them be. If not actively, at least daven for their destruction. Rav Adis says that anyone who wants to see yeshuot should daven for the destruction of xnty. You can ask the rav yourself. Anyone stanning xns as xns or giving them any kind of credibility even in thought alone, should absolutely do tshuva. No-one is perfect, but how perverse to praise and stan missionaries. In the last few years 30,000 Jews in Israel have converted to xnty. If you are stanning missionaries in any form you are a part of that, and have helped create the fertile soil for them. We put our faith in Hashem not in basar vedam, and especially not in missionaries. Every single missionary you meet will be absolutely lovely to you and care about you. And Jews like the abused children of the world we are, fall for it.

What should someone do? Put their faith in Hashem. We are not in a popularity contest.

The messianic process started with Bnot Lot, but we are not allowed to commit arayot. Hashem has His reasons for allowing xnty to proliferate, but that doesn't mean that it is kosher for us in any way shape or form. The Rambam writes that xntiy and islam spread to teach some knowledge of Hashem, albeit vastly distorted, to the ORLEI LEV and when Moshiach comes they will learn how mistaken they were, not that they are allowed to come to EY and to try to settle here and to convert Jews.

This is simply a reiteration of Yahadut 101.

    1. Fair enough. It is all poison in one way or another. This blog obviously was not established to promote Esau's favorite religion. But prior to Mashiach coming, our hotels, archeological parks, restaurants, and mom and pop tourist shops need 2 1/2 million tourists over the course of the 6 Summer months from Pesach through Sukkot. Let us say that we had a choice. We could choose tourists of one kind but not the other, and because the pool of prospective kosher viable Jewish groups and Noachides is way too shallow in terms of numbers, we have to choose which large group of tourists we want to attract to the Holy Land. The choice is yours. Mashiach has not yet come, but people in the tourist industry need to make an honest living as they did this year (the 1st real yr without Covid since 2019) as they did since this past Pesach 5783.

      Do we want
      1. 50,000 homosexuals for a Gay Pride month with a massive march in Yerushalayim?

      2. A Convention of 50,000 popularity starved Leftist Jews and non-Jews going on marches and blocking highways to force a 2 State Solution on the nation, sending delegations to Huwara to show solidarity with the huddled masses of angry Muslums, protecting them from those fascist settlers living in their midst?

      3. 50,000 Xtians who come for the Feast of Sukkot to march through the streets of Yerushalayim during one of the days of Chol HaMoed.

Of those three above we need to choose our poison, or we simply allow the entire tourist industry here to collapse until Mashiach comes. The numbers of kosher Jewish groups and Noachides is small compared to the the raw numbers of those other groups listed above. That is simply a fact. From a practical perspective do we prefer 1. or 2. to #3.?

      Delete
    2. The answer is simple. We attract the most morally decent group of the above choices as we can possibly filter out from the spiritual garbage, but any Xtian who is caught proselytizing or with tract literature for distribution in his/her luggage is sent to his/her country of origin by sundown.

      And daven hard for Mashiach.

      Delete
    3. And we support Noachide organizations worldwide to convert people who believe as Xtians to the true path for non-Jews so that there are 2 billion Noachides instead of 2 billion Xtians.

  82. I was coming out of an official Israeli office where many Israelis come to register and get explanations, and passing me by, going in, was a young Israeli mother (not Haredi or...) with a baby carriage and a baby inside, and on the mother’s neck and on the baby carriage were those cro-ses . I was so shocked that I wanted to rip that thing off the baby’s carriage!

The mother looked a typical summer undressed Israeli. I couldn’t ask her if she was a x or not as she was in a hurry to register her new baby. But I don’t think foreign non-Jews would be going there.

But here in Yerushalayim are, I believe, those who have been “persuaded” to follow their man-god. I’m not 100% sure but it certainly looked that way! With the distortions of logic and belief occurring in these last days before Mashiach, it is not really surprising. It says they “former generations” will be brought back to do teshuva. Is someone wants to clarify that please do.

Also, NOTICE THE VERY LOUD AMBULANCE NOISE a being used to remind one of covid victims on their way to hosp’s. Only now that they are pushing their agenda again! DONT FALL FOR IT! ITS ALL AA LIE!

    1. ... We go into Galut, and we will be very tempted to worship the gods of Wood (Xtianity) and Stone (Islam). We will mistakenly and errantly at the End of Days either choose to try to serve G-d who has 100% Rachmanut without the Din (the god of wood) or serve a god whose attribute of Din is absolute for which one's teshuvah will not change your destiny (the god of stone). Even the Names of G-d that Xtianity and Islam attach themselves to tell the tale. Xtianity frequently pronounces the Name Yud Key Vav Key (His attribute of Mercy), minimizing their use of His Name Elokim (His attribute of Justice) while Islam only uses the Name Allah which is totally tied to the Name Elokim. At the end of Days Many Jews end up pursuing either one extreme of G-d's attributes or the other. This has been predicted, and we are often witnesses to this huge error.

The rudimentary error besides the simple idolatry of Yoshkeville and the Trinity is to even entertain the idea that someone else can die for your World to Come. The complete nonsense of this idea should be as plain as the noses on our faces. In the end, we can and should keep the Missionaries out, but these rudimentary stupidities are the responsibility of the people who do them.

There's the story of Stephen who was supposedly filled with the spirit and recounts events in Torah. I believe it's in the book of Acts and there are a number of mistakes in that 'sermon'.

I'll never forget when Glenn Beck went to Israel, when at Har Habayit, pointed at the Dome and castigated Islam for believing in only One G-d. Also while there he disparaged Rav Kook.

The hypocrisy of forcing Homosexual Pride Parades on Yerushalayim, marching in front of the Great Synagogue while french kissing, and forbidding a Mechitzah prayer service in Dizengoff Square is so glaring and blatant that we are being drawn into this confrontation. And yes, some people might bring weapons. This seems as imminent as a Hezbollah invasion. G-d help us all.

  91. While I feel, (and have spoken out publicly) that the behavior of these erev rav thugs/anarchists was disgusting, I do not feel that holding another tefila in Tel Aviv, with a mechitzah for no other reason than to get back is what Hashem wants. He wants our tefila but not to use tefila in such a way, where the kavana is only to confront and provoke. I feel the same way about those women of the wall. They don't come to daven or to honor the Torah. They come to confront and provoke. I am opposed to this action and pray that Ben Gviv, who I support, rethinks this strategy and comes up with something new. We don't need to give Ehud Barak, yemach shmo, his dream of blood running the Yarkon. Let's be smarter. In any event, I believe that the more Tel Aviv falls into the abyss and separates itself from Torah and from HKBH, the more it opens the skies to the rockets from Hezbolla.

    1. And in the meantime, we simply live with the glaring hypocrisy and injustice for the sake of peace? Maybe.

I spent Shabbat Shuvah in Netanya, a city named in honor of the tzaddiq, co-founder of Macy's Dept store, Nathan Strauss. His brother Isador died on the Titanic while he was thinking up ways in Eretz Yisrael to support those who learned Torah all day. His obsession in this task saved his life. He missed "the boat". The city is beautiful and tolerant. And no such strife over a public Mechitzah would take place there. They have well defined Eruvim leading to the ocean, beyond which point you cannot carry, but the Eruvim are within 200 meters of the ocean, well within the limits of Eruv Techumot so that one can be on the beach with empty pockets. A lot of thought and effort went into designing such a city with Eruvim at correct distances. When the measure of Tel Aviv's sins runneth over, does Netanya, which is 10 kms north of Hertzliya, then protect Tel Aviv from getting missiles?

I think that small voice nudges them, suggesting that maybe there's something to that "Torah thing.A bit of doubt creeps in and the walls of hatred against religion crack.

I don't find it weird that there are religious people in Tel Aviv.
It is after all in Israel.
A large city with employment opportunities.

I lived there when I made Aliyah.
I made Aliyah alone, and chose there because the vast majority of my support network lived in or within 30 minutes of Tel Aviv.
It was a logical decision to start there, and then see where I might move after Ulpan etc.

I went to shul, kept Kosher.
There were some Shabbat night dinners for single people which I went to, where they would give shiurim.

It is an interesting city, it has some really nice parks and architecture.

Whatever hedonism was going on there, I wasn't involved in it.

I made a point to regularly go to Yerushalayim, to daven and for some Shabbatot.

One must also remember that there is a Hasidic community in Tel Aviv, and also many traditional Jews. Not neccessarily kippah wearers, but not anti-religious either... just regular Israelis who are not involved in the hedonism....taxi drivers, market stall holders, shop workers etc.

  109. Am unsure what to say on my end in light of everything that happened up to now. Until recently was a carer for an ailing loved one for almost a decade, later a palliative circa late-2021 (does not take much imagination as to what it was from..) with countless subsequent hospital admissions, heavy pill burden and more burning me out including the logistical nightmare of simultaneous hospitalisations, passing on and time-consuming house clearing of another relative that preceded loved one.

The only thing one ultimately controls at the end of the day is how one reacts to bad events, terrible situations whether on a global, national or individual level can either break you or firm one's resolve and Emunah in Hashem.

If Heaven permits anything worthwhile to come out of this situation as opposed to allowing things to persist as before with the same crop of "leaders" at the top. It will be to create the very catalyst for Hashem to finally give us a leader who will follow Hashem's rules of engagement, without any concern for what the rest of the world things.

Whether it comes about in a top-down affair or likely a bottom-up effort via Davening, Teshuva, Unifying, Organising and taking out the trash (in whatever is within our capacity to do) as brought up by Rabbi Weissman elsewhere is another question.

    1. The Precise scenario of transition to G-d centered Rules of Engagement is described in detail in Zekharia chapter 12. Bibi is the Levite from the House of Natan with the Matrillinear yichus of Shimi ben Geira whose grandfather was Kish, Shaul HaMelekh's father. He has the will and desire 9of the descendants of Shimi (Mordechai and Esther) to destroy Amaleq in the Persian Empire, but he is cursed with the faithlessness of Achav ben Omri. A Messianic leader from the House of David is supposed to arise in the hills north or south of Jerusalem who does not live by the rules of Engagement of the US or The EU. The question is how do we arrive at that juncture?

      Delete
  110. It is difficult to conceive Bibi's perceived faithlessness actually being just that and not ascribe to it as something altogether more sinister, which for some has become more apparent in the past 3 years despite the perception of him being the best amongst a bad crop of politicians.

Maybe he will redeem himself in the end and be the very vehicle for Geula or due to how long he has been in positions of power, perhaps it has already reached the point where to quote what Mordecai relayed to Esther in Megillat Esther if she remained silent - relief and salvation will come from another source.

From my admittingly uneducated and limited perspective. The awaited Messianic leader is likely someone who does not fit the bill of what one typically expects of a leader, particularly when compared to how individuals usually reach positions of power, if not being groomed and backed by unelected globalist benefactors and other entities.

Also have no idea how we get to a scenario where the Messianic leader takes over. Heard one opinion say it is down to people to actually elect and effectively thrust him from obscurity into being a King via Rambam IIRC (prior to destroying Amalek), which goes back to the Messianic Leader possibly not being a politician (and it being bottom-up rather than top-down). Yet with Hashem's favour actually succeeding where supposedly more educated or qualified people acting as leaders failed.

  111. Reb Dov

Wishing your wife a refuah shleimah.

I have no medical training that can help with steroid withdrawal symptoms.

    Please prioritise your family.

There is plenty of davening and learning for us regulars here to do right now.

We don't really know what happened over Shabbat...there are still closed military areas and I know of friends who are locked down in the South, not allowed to go onto the streets in their town.

There is a conspiracy theory being promoted online that the government planned this and allowed it to happen in order to provide an excuse for war.
The reasoning is the amount of time it took for the military to respond to the invasion and the lack of troops near the border. And supposedly that the IAF did not respond for six hours.

I find that possible but it's a big call indeed.
(Possibly aided by those who say the Yom Kippur war was allowed to happen as a sop to the Arabs, to give them a small win to take the edge off them.
But it got out of hand.)

Then again, some special forces responded very quickly. Showing tremendous bravery.

With 22 places attacked at the same time, reports must have been confusing.
No amount of drones can do much about terrorists inside peoples' homes.
And if people are hiding in safe rooms, how do the army convince them to open the door to check if they are safe?

Many troops were home for Shabbat and the Chag.

So it is just a possible it was a horrible storm of mistakes.

Leading to the largest military call up since 1973.

I pray for the safety of all and of your son/sons? who I think are in the army.

  112. I think that the fact that we're laying siege to Aza does show that we are following our rules of engagement and not those of the US and other nations. We need to move quickly, because the sympathy factor will be short-lived. For now, we've cut off water, electricity and all shipments, including food. I also live in the north. Lisa, there are many Tehilim groups with thousands of women saying perekim all day and night. And they often post shirim plus we also have almost daily tefila events. If you're not already on, I recommend joining one of the groups. We don't have a gun. Early in the morning (3:30), I heard what sounded like motorized gliders and I immediately thought that Hezbollah was invading. The lesson is that our biggest task is to keep our imagination under control and increase our emunah and bitachon in HKBH.

  116. The situation with my wife improved dramatically since Shabbat, bli Ayin HaRa. She is not out of the woods, but IF her situation continues to improve, I will post tomorrow, big IF.

WHAT is becoming more obvious daily is that once the IDF sends the ground troops into Gaza down to where Yishuv Netzarim used to be, Hezbollah will set up an attack of some sort. 70 to 80% chance that missiles will fly from Bint Jbiel (Daughter of Gevel) in Southern Lebanon. That is GogUMagog's lit match according to Psalm 83. Dominoes will rapidly cascade. America can only fight a one front war, leaving the Pacific open to China and North Korea.... One thing that Bibi might be talking to the Americans about is if we flatten Northern Gaza now, China will have the opportunity to invade Taiwan before the Straits become choppy in November. Otherwise this pause makes no sense.

  117. I'm not confident that we will ever go in. Bibi has begun to parve his rhetoric and Biden is talking about getting rid of the "extreme" elements of Hamas. Surprised he didn't call them maga-Hamas. I'm feeling very doubtful that we will actually fight this war to win, meaning to get rid of Hamas and all jihadists from our midst. Only Hashem will do that because our leaders are beholden to America. In all these year, we should have built our own defense industry. We're the tech leaders of the world, but we've sucked from the breast of the American defense establishment all these years. Therefore, we are subject to their dictates. We even have Blinken sitting in the war room. I'm not feeling very positive about things right now. And, BTW, there is now a proposal to penalize anyone who criticizes the government. Hashem will have to do something miraculous. May it be today! Happy to hear that your wife is improving. May she go from strength to strength.

We lost 200 hostages, atrocities, embarrassment, 1500 dead, 4000 injured etc 300 soldiers dead- and still little Gaza under Hamas will survive it seems?

THE test was in the 4th year of that Shmittah cycle because according to the Gemorrah Sanhedrin, in the 5th year there was to be a Chachamim lead spiritual revival. How can there be a spiritual revival if some Chachamim fail a test in human decency? So the 7 year process fell apart after Gush Qatif.

  128. Hamas is sponsored by Iran, who is vying to assume the mantel of leadership of the Muslim world. Iran’s rivals are other Muslim countries. Hamas’s rival is Fatah, the PLO, in what is known as the West Bank. In a convenient alignment of interests, what Hamas gained was the boost to its popularity amongst it’s own voter base in Aza and also amongst voters in the so-called West Bank. The Hamas massacres were widely celebrated across the Arab world, including in its own back yard. Amongs local Arabs, the standing of Hamas has catapaulted. At the same time, Iran is now posturing and positioning itself as the leader of the Arab/Muslim world, making threats against Israel.

They say you should never underestimate your enemy. I might also add misunderstand your enemy. If we have three main camps (leaving out China and Russia for now): the Muslim/Arab world, the West and Israel. The West tends to have a very short memory, the attitude is to get over it already and move on. Muslims have a long memory and still revel in Muhammed’s slaughter of the Jews of Khaybar in the seventh century of the common era, but Jews have the longest history and memory. We still fast every year to mourn and commemorate the destruction of the first Temple in Jerusalem in 586 BCE, before the common era, (well over 2000 years ago) by Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Babylon.

Hamas and the Muslim/Arab world underestimate and misunderstand Jews. They try to perpetuate the myth that Jews are foreign colonisers in Israel and thus can be easily displaced. Part of the reason for the terrible, terrible nature of the atrocities they committed was psychological warfare. They know that Israelis are kindhearted and care about all human life, including Arabs. In their eyes that is weakness. My guess is that they believed that their extreme cruelty would make us all want to give up. However, they have seriously miscalculated. Motivation is at an all time high in Israel, amongst the armed forces and the home front. Furthermore, they forget that the Holocaust is imprinted in the Jewish psyche. Amongst the hostages are actual Holocaust survivors and the grandchildren of Holocaust survivors. The Hamas atrocities were so barbaric that Hitler himself would have been proud of them. Hamas and Iran may have thought that the massacres would elevate them, but they will very much be their downfall.

Another thing is that all stories for children end with good ending and Hashem Himself is the main story maker and definitely will end this word Asiya with good ending for good people and bury alive bad people including Gog and his allies. Just be confident in that. 138. Considering that Jews have been moved out of Aza and the northern border towns "for their safety"...

What do you think will happen to those areas? Will they stay empty, or will Arabs fill them and take them over?

As it is, we don't know yet. But already it would seem that the Old City is off limits to me. I usually have Monday classes, but for two weeks now we've been on Zoom. I shudder to think what might happen to the place where we have classes!

On the other hand, Melech David is buried there, isn't he? Hopefully he and his soldiers will scare the enemy off, the way the Baba Sali and two other tzadikim scared them off in Netivot.

Anyway, my point centers on the Yalkut Shimoni, which has been quoted many times here regarding the time right before Mashiah. I never understood until now why Israeli Jews would be asking, where can we go? But if the Arabs are allowed to take over the Atef Aza and the northern communities that have been cleared out, and possibly more, we will be asking this question!

The answer, again, is, approximately: "I did this all for YOU! REDEMPTION IS NOW!"

Perhaps Reb Dov Bear would like to quote it more exactly, once more.

  143. I'm not going to board the conspiracy train. But, as a long-time political professional, I do believe that our medinat was ready to create a fakestinian state right under our noses. The idea that we have a rightist/extreme government is a joke. The only protectors of the land are Ben Gvir and Smotrich. And they have limited authority and power (except Smotrich who does control the purse). And maybe this is one of the reasons why we had to pay such a painful price on Simchat Torah. To stop the madness. There was the other madness too. The war against Torah and the war against HKBH. Perhaps all the wars came together to create this one that is impacting all of us now. However, in spite of everything that is happening, that our stupid government would continue to arm a terrorist state is beyond comprehension. What we need is a leader willing to say to the US, who unfortunately is our sole source of the weapons we need (we could turn to Russia, of course) is something like what Golda Meir said...either you send us the conventional weapons we need to win this war or we'll use our special stock and Aza will be like Chenobyl for a little while.
