Zot Chukat HaTorah: This is a Decree of the Torah, And Now It Begins

In 1242 in the streets of Paris, France on the Friday before Parshat Chukat, 24 cartloads of Talmuds were burnt in a wild conflagration of flames decreed by one of the 365 Principle Saints of the Roman Catholic Church.  His name was Louis IXth, King of France also known as St. Louis.  Forty days earlier on the exact same spot at the urging of the Jews of France, copies of the RaMBaM's works Sefer HaMada (The Book of Science) and Guide for the Perplexed (Moreh Nevuchim) were burnt.  Apparently the Jews of 13th Century France had a serious problem with the confluence between Torah and Science and Aristotelian logic being used to prove the existence of G-d.  The Rambam (Moshe Maimonides) was known in both spheres to the consternation of many.  So they had the Catholic Church burn his books.  Forty days later on Erev Shabbat Parshat Chukat, all the Talmuds in France with rare hand-written Tosefot in the margins were burned on the exact same spot.  So for burning the books of the Rambam, the greatest logical sage and codifier of Jewish Law since Moshe Rabbeinu, G-d looked down from Heaven and said Zot Chukat haTorah, and the Jewish community of France was destroyed for hundreds of years without one drop of blood being spilled.  You see, it was only the Talmud that was burned that day.  Read Kinah 41 from your Tisha B'Av Machzor.  I did it several times sitting in the shadow of the St. Louis Art Museum at the same spot that Scott Joplin played the "The Cascades" on the promenade for the 1904 Worlds Fair.  (Some say that he only performed on The Pike at the Worlds Fair because he was a black man.  I will have to check with the MO Historical Society.  But the song "The Cascades" was about the waterfall that flowed from where the statue of St. Louis sits today.)  Right next to the 110 year old promenade, there is a statue to the Talmud burner himself, sitting on a horse sitting in front of the Art Museum....A fitting climax to a dying city.  Before the city (St. Louis) built that statue of the Talmud burner whose name it bears, it knew no pitfalls.  From the moment that that statue graced the the 1904 World's fairgrounds of Forest Park, it was downhill from there.  Such is the fate of those who curse G-d's chosen and burn His precious library of books.  It is kind of funny how the Catholic University in town, St. Louis University, has a Talmudic Law section in their School of Law.  jokes on us I guess, or Louis the IXth is turning over in his grave.

So on this very day, it seems to have begun.  The United States has now decided that Assad has used poison sarin nerve gas weeks after it was already proven.  But the Obama Administration wracked with scandals needs a foreign war to distract our attention.  Is it a wag the dog scenario in the generation whose face is a dog??  Considering that Obama is being cajoled by Billy "bark bark" Clinton, perhaps this is the case.  (I believe that "zu billen" is to bark in Yiddish.  Please confirm that one.)  So here it is:

Zot Chukat HaTorah

So it will start with a no fly zone over Southern Syria 25 miles deep.  How will the Russians respond?  How will Persia and Hezbollah respond?  Again we shall see.

Blogger LondonMale said...

A no fly zone on it's own will be sorely tested when Assad's forces continue to commit atrocities.
At what point do USA/UK/FRENCH planes fire on ground troops and tanks?
A no fly zone and sending more arms to the Sunnis just prolongs the war.
There has to be another catalyst for the conflict to spread, and what that will be is anyone's guess.

Daniel 8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

26 And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.

24 He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.

Bedouins in Jordan

Most of the Bedouin tribes migrated from the Arabian Peninsula to what is Jordan today between the 14th and 18th centuries. Today Bedouins make up from 33% to 40% of the population of Jordan. Often they are referred to as a backbone of the Kingdom, since Bedouin clans traditionally support the monarchy.

Here we go indeed!

Multinational military exercise 'Eager Lion' has been launched in Jordan. The exercises will last for 12 days, bringing together about 8,000 personnel from 19 countries, mostly Arabic, but also including the US and Europe. The maneuvers will also involve some 3,000 Jordanian and 500 British troops.

There ya go, 19 countries!

I was thinking about Hezbollah sleeper cells in the United States over Shabbat. Then I get online and I see:

1. Morsi cuts off all diplomatic ties with Assad.

2. Flight from Cairo to New York is diverted to Scotland because of note to blow up the plane found on board.

Finally, I am sure that these exercises in Jordan will lead to war in Syria first. NATO will then commit to the war. It will climax when NATO including Rifat (France), Ashkenaz (Germany), and Togarmah (Turkey) fully commits. And only after Russia, NATO, Persia, and Put (not just Putin) are all committed to fighting each other will they conclude and come chasing after us. Who is Put for Ezek. 38 and 39? Put is the Al Qaeda rebels who overthrew Qaddafy. After accomplishing that, they went partially armed to Syria to overthrow Assad. The entire Benghazi debacle with Chris Stevens the American Ambassador to Libya was to fully arm the Libyans in Syria with the arms from Al Qaeda in Libya via the Turkish Consul in Benghazi. They met either at the American Consulate there or a CIA safe house. Something went awry. But Obama needed to cover this all up before his re-election. But heck, now he needs to 1. do the same thing above board without the hanky panky 2 to find a reason to declare martial law. The number of scandals is killing him. Martial Law would end the dissent.

And there are a lot of Hezbollah sleeper cells in the US. The Mexican border is a sieve, and Hezbollah has a huge contingent on the other side of the US/ Mexican border.

But the point is, Put (Libya, Algeria, and Tunisia) is already on the ground in Syria. Put makes up a large percentage of foreign fighters amongst the Syrian rebels.

Why is the whole world against us?

What is happening? We are called Ivriim (Hebrews), because we inherited that legacy of Abraham. We are a lonely people, persecuted throughout most of history.

Generation after generation tried to convince us we are wrong. Sometimes those efforts appeared polite and more often they were accompanied by the sword. To be a Jew historically meant trouble. It meant exclusion from guilds, second class citizenship at best, and being the scapegoat for society's problems. We must realize that the hatred of the nations of the world stems from the fact that we are different. Others view us as the “ugly duckling” amongst the nations.

There is very little we can do to change the attitude of the nations of the world. All the various “isms” that well-meaning Jews created to make us more popular, or to give us equal status with the other nations, have failed. We are a nation of Ivriim. We stand alone. Empires have risen and fallen, and the laws of nature would have had the same happen to us, but we're still here. We remained and remain to this day apart and unique in our faith and customs. We maintain our national language and distinct identity, and despite our small numbers, have persevered in a way that no other people have or could have. Let us live up to our name -- even if means being an Ivri when we find ourselves on the other side of public opinion. Whether consciously or unconsciously, that is what the world expects from the chosen people.

"For, behold, your enemies make a tumult; and those who hate you have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against your people, and consulted against your hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may no longer be remembered. For they conspire together with one accord; they make an alliance against you:"

The most important paragraph from previous comment (refer to the video):

"It is the intention of the U.S. administration, to ultimately turn over to the United Nations, the military base that is being considered for construction in the heart of Israel. It is the leaders of the NWO/Illuminati who will decide the appropriate time when all that will occur. The U.S. is to build the military base within Israel under the guise that it is for the use of the U.S. military. It is not. It is to be turned over to the United Nations at the appropriate time. The sole purpose of this base is for the United Nations use, not the U.S., and not Israel. This base will be a disaster to the best interests of Israel. It will be used against Israelis."

This is also who is behind O and guiding him.

Yea, we need this badly. The Ashkenazic Torah world is in shambles. It seems to have crumbled to pieces. This gives Civil (and homosexual) Marriage proponents an IN because there really is no true Gadol in the Ashkenazic world anymore. This is a simple spiritual reason that we need Geulah now. The quicker this blows up, the better. Don't think for a second that Hezbollah will NOT start launching missiles on Tel Aviv when this heats up. I am sure that is part of the plan. Also those Hezbollah sleeper cells in the US will be awakened too. Also now that Erdogan has brutally taken care of his "internal" problem of secular Turks, he might become a more active player.

The G8 meeting is tomorrow in Northern Ireland. Any meetings between Obama and the other leaders will have to be private because the Russians are part of the G8. Also watch the Nikkei Avg. in Japan for signs of instability/ stability tonight and early in the morning on Monday. That will set the tone in the US stock market for the week.

I should point out that the dollar is back to 3.60 IShekels/ dollar. There might be one more round of interest rate cuts in Israel to please the exporters while temporarily jacking up the dollar, but at 1.25%, the BOI is running out of room to cut.

In normal times, the West would tell the Al Qaeda backed rebels that they are on their own, but the West is basically a foreign policy prisoner of the Muslim Brotherhood now. So we are not in normal times in order to judge what they do next.

The Ashkenazi world is falling apart. We have no real towering Gedolim amongst Ashkenazim to unite us all together in the way that Rav Ovadia Yosef is the towering Gadol for Sephardim. A majority of Ashkenazic Jews are spiritually dead right now. They either hate G-d or find Him to be irrelevant because of all the pain and suffering of Ashkenazic history which actually dwarfs the suffering of Jews in the Muslim World. And that is saying a lot. It was not a picnic to be in galut in the Muslim World. But 50 years after the Shoah, the Ashkenazic World started falling to pieces with the deaths of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and Rav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach zt"l. One would expect precisely this after 6 out of 7 Jews who were in Hitler's Europe were wiped out.

Because we are in the post Acharonic Era in the Ashkenazic world, we are in a pre-Messianic fog, a kind of limbo where we are being pulled in a dozen different directions.

I happen to believe that the Torah of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov shines light into this fog. But even here way too many Torah observant Jews would beg to differ. Until Mashiach comes, there is no way to re-attain the pre-WW2 stature of Judaism in Eastern and Central Europe. It is gone forever. Perhaps someone like Rav Stav can reach out to these secular Israelis in a way that would help them to reconsider their ambivalence toward the Creator of the Universe. I am saddened that Rav Yosef has chosen the route of calling Rav Stav an evil man. He does not understand how broken Ashkenazic Jewry really is right now precisely because he himself comes from the Sephardic tradition that survived our long absence from E.Y. amongst the nations intact without going insane or being totally broken emotionally and spiritually. In the Ashkenazic World we did not have such luck. So many of us are broken in one way or another.

"It was not a picnic to be in galut in the Muslim World."

Indeed. I have been looking for an answer to a question many do not ask. How is it that we saw only 850,000 Sepharadic Jews come out of the Muslim world after WWII and the declaration of Medinath Yisrael, when the Muslim nations summarily kicked them out? Many say there were 2 million Jews in the Middle East before the War.

But wait - as many as might have perished on their way out of "Dar es-Salaam" - that is not my question. The Middle Eastern Jews had been there since churban Bayit Rishon (destruction of the First Temple). some 2,500 years ago. Natural population growth would have numbered them in at least the hundreds of millions, like China and India at that time. Today they would have been in the billions. How is it that, in reality, only approximately 2 million Jews lived in the ME before the war, at the same time that the Ashkenazim numbered some 12 million? I have my theories, one of which is that we (including scholars on the subject) really have no idea of how much the Sepharadim/Mizrahim/Oriental Jews suffered at the hands of the nations they lived among. Not many Jews outside these communities read Arabic, so this information is not accessible to us. It's just a clue that has been nagging at me.

Many of my Sepharadi friends say they believe the Ashkenazim suffered more than they. Whether they know this for a fact or not, either way, to say the Ashkenazim suffered more than this is indeed saying much more than we realize - and therefore the sum of Jewish suffering is likely to be that much greater than we know.

Full disclosure: I have a dog in each side of this "fight": My parents were one of each.

What is the purpose of the suffer contest? Who suffered more, who suffered less? Millions of Sephardic Jews converted in Spain. In fact, here is an article from 2008 showing that 20% of the male Spanish population shares genetics with Sephardic Jews. There is your 9.5 million missing Sephardic Jews. You act as if it was a picnic in Europe and all the sudden in 1945 the Jews experienced their first savage blow. Not sure what relevance any of this has on the point of this blog which is the Future and Final Redemption.

Mochin: The oft stated purpose for discussing past Jewish suffering on this blog is because, at this point in time. the ONE COLLECTIVE merit for Geulah Shleimah right now is precisely that intense Jewish suffering. So a discussion of how intense that suffering was and how intensely we cried out to HaShem while we gave up our lives will be the impetus for an even greater imminent redemption from our present circumstances.

I would agree that the Spanish Inquisition was the defining event for suffering of Sephardic Jewry. Following the rules of separating between Eras as defined in the previous comment section, it might be the Churban event which separated the Era of the Rishonim to the Era of the Acharonim about 50 to 60 years after 1492.

It is because of our present status, at least in the Ashkenazic World, that we are now in the post-Acharonic Era because of the Shoah. Therefore, HaShem will redeem us for the sake of the sanctity of His Holy Torah and for the sake of His Name which is profaned because of our lowly status where a large percentage of Ashkenazic Jews have abandoned Him precisely because of our intense suffering which has brought us down to the post-Acharonic Era. In the previous Shmittah cycle, we were tested with a test of basic common decency to see if all religious Jews could speak with one voice by NOT enabling Sharon's evil act. Some of us failed that test miserably, enabling the Disengagement. That leaves us with the merit of the Shoah and all previous waves of suffering in the six 300 year cycles that preceded it + the 70 year cycle of those who died for Malkhut from the destruction of the 2nd Temple until the crushing of the Bar Kochba revolt. It has been discussed on this blog how the 70 (Ayin) years (70-140 ce), the 6 x300 (Sin) year cycles, and the 6 (Vav) year Shoah spell Esav's name and constitute being chased in 7 different directions from the Tochachah in Leviticus. That is our collective merit now after failing a test in common decency in the previous Shmittah cycle.

The 300 year cycles of suffering at the hands of Edom come from the Talmud in Megillah which speaks of the 300 princes of Germany uniting daily one at a time with the 365 Princes (Saints of the Roman Catholic Church) in Rome. For one prince from Germany to unite with one principle saint of the Roman Church daily, one needs 300 years.

The Churban from the year 70 to 140ce purified Malkhut. 141-440 purified Yesod. 441- 740 purified Hod. 741- 1040 purified Netzach. 1041- 1340 purified Tifereth. 1341- 1640 purified Gevurah. 1641- 1940 purified Chessed. Since the Shoah actually began in 1939/40, it is including in the purification of Chessed and is the final Churban. The physical aspect of the Geulah began immediately after that. We are now anticipating the Geulah of the Spirit to enter the bodies of the bones of the Shoah who have new life here in Eretz Yisrael.

Blogger Dov Bar-Leib said...

One could even more accurately track this by referring to the Jewish year. For instance the year 70ce was the year 3830, and the year 140ce was the year 3900, etc. One might also count the years starting in the zero year of the decade so that the 70 years of Malkhut were from 3830 until 3899. And the last 300 year cycle of Chessed was from 5400 through 5699 with the Shoah beginning at the very end of the year 5699 extending the years of purification of Chessed by 6 (Vav) years.

I also verily believe now that the Geulah b'Ruchniyut will follow the 72 year rule from dawn or Alot HaShachar (the Shoah) til sunrise. Since the Shoah was basically from the very edn of 5699 or 5700 until 5705 with the implementation of the Final Solution in 5702 and 5703, then Geulah has begun b'itah on schedule on Tisha B'Av 5772 (over 72 1/2 years after the beginning of the Shoah). It is really picking up now at the end of 5773. It will become more intense from the beginning of 5774, but will reach a climax in 5775 and 5776 marking 72 full years after the beginning of the Final Solution. For instance, while the Final Solution was planned in 5702 in either Tevet or Shevat, it was implemented later that Spring. So 72 full years later, starting on Rosh HaShana 5703, is the year 5775.

Maybe we are at the end of the Rabbis' era. In parashas Ki Tissa we learn about the Mishkan and hashra'at haShechina. According to some explanations the position of Rashi is that "Before the Cheit HaEigel, there was no need for the Mishkan. The level attained by B'nei Yisrael at Ma'amad Har Sinai was so exalted that each Jew was fit to serve as a Mishkan. Only after the sin, when the spiritual level of Klal Yisrael declined was there a need for a structure to serve as a place for the Divine presence to rest amongst the Jewish people but not in them".

If so, viewing oneself as the ultimate dwelling-place of the Shechina should be highly motivating in one's 'Avodat Hashem. In the words of the Kotzker Rebbe, "Where is Hashem's Shechina? Wherever He is allowed to enter!" This should also fill us with anticipation for the fulfillment of the prophecy of Yechezkel "v'hayah mishkani aleihem v'hayiti lahem lailokim!"

Thus, Rabbi Ariel's advice would be really true, "Go straight to HaShem, not to any intermediary".

However, We DO NEED leaders although we "have the Emes in Shomayim". Sefer Devarim deals with the appointment of a king by the people of Israel. In a famous passage, the Torah states: "You shall appoint yourselves a king" (Devarim 17:15).

Most Rishonim accept the majority position that a monarchy is the desired form of government and that is a mitzva to appoint a king.

The Ashkenazi Chareidim at that wedding who attacked Rav Stav just insured that Rav David Stav will be the Chief Rabbi. The Amar Law would have given Rav Shlomo Amar a 2nd term as the Sephardi Chief Rabbi, but that was angrily rejected because Rav Stav as Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi was part of the package. Now what??

To the Ashkenazi Anonymous @6/17/2013 3:17 PM:

Thank you for saying what I didn't have time to say earlier. I have also heard the same popular opinion as you, which the Arabs/Muslims promote shamelessly, that they treated "their" Jews better than the Xians did. LIARS ALL! If there is any competition, it is among those goyim as to who treated us better - or worse, depending on the direction the wind is blowing that day - or even that minute.

Mochin, there is no race here, no "suffer competition" - I am with Reb Dov about appreciating the whole of Jewish suffering because it is our one great merit for the complete Redemption. To get it right we have to consider all sides and account for all the clues we are given. I am sure there is much more than any of us know.

All I know is I wish we would be able to substitute all this suffering with appropriate behavior and attitudes toward our G-d and our fellow Jews, starting with my own.

Good night, all.

So at least we should talk about the GOOD NEWS!!

1. Like the ratatat of a semi-automatic weapon in regular intervals, the 2 State Solution has been panned by Danny Danon, Ofir Akunis, Moshe "Boogie" Ya'alon, and now Naftali Bennett. One might think that they read this blog and have taken turns tearing Tzippy, the Witch of Eindor's fig leaf plans to shreds. I am sure the Ba'al Kerry is incensed, but it is about time to care less about what he thinks. Yes, it brings the Mammoth Protection Force moment closer because of our obstinacy, but the status quo here needs radical change anyway...and it seems to be changing. Netanyahu is surrounded by people who could care less about his opinion on this matter, and that is good.

2. The world is now dividing up over Syria, as the Shi'ites and the Sunnis are now fighting a proxy war, but don't be fooled. It is the Muslim Brotherhood and Saudi Arabia that are controlling the West and not the other way around. Edom in the West is dead, and the world of Yishmael is wagging around a corpse. I am not so sure that Vlad Putin is dead ..even if he shows up at the Kotel with his entire entourage at 1:30 in the morning like a vampire for a full fledged State visit. I don't think that this Vlad wants to suck our blood. He has been highly critical of Syrian rebels who eat the organs of those whom they kill. Perhaps Vlad is not a vampire after all.

And that is the good news. Baruch HaShem.

HillyBilly called up the spirits of Mahatma Gandhi and Eleanor Roosevelt to seek advice about what to do next. I happen to believe that he is a secret black magician. I can't prove this, but it is a strong hunch. The lives that these two evil people have destroyed are beyond description.

So they trumped up a false accusation against him. And away they flew.

About the Shekel strength. Israeli exporters are begging for help. A strong shekel hurts exports in an export-oriented economy, and consequently the economy as a whole.

We must ask ourselves how come the NIS is so strong. I got a hunch based on a conspiracy hypothesis. The NIS appreciation, as well as most currency swings in the so called "free market" is driven by speculators such as ? I hypothesize that someone is out to hurt the Israel by damaging her economy. Someone is thus driving the NIS higher and higher until the Israeli economy implodes.

The basic issue that is not being understood here by the Sephardim is that we Ashkenazim have sunk below the level of what we have called up until 1995 Acharonim, in large part because of the Shoah in Europe. So our hierarchy of Gedolim has been shattered. Rav Stav represents a fresh approach especially dealing with agnostic Ashkenazi Israelis. It is not perfect as matter of fact it is far from perfect, but we need a stop gap measure until Mashiach comes shortly. The measures has to deal with the hundreds of thousands of Ashkenazim who are estranged from G-d because of the intensity of the suffering in Europe. Ok that was my last word on this matter. Others are free to comment.

Dov, interestingly the kishuf of Ov is used even today in some Chinese hospitals for spooky diagnosis. I had a student while in kollel who worked in China as an English teacher. The Kishuf involved the practitioner never washing his left armpit and then consulting a spirit there, it is apparently useful in diagnosing cancer.
I later even asked a posek if a goyish practitioner of Ov could be consulted. He said it was permissible though dangerous to the practitioner for goyim to practice kishuf as it is not directly avoda zora under the sheva mitzvot benai Noach and if it were for life and death refui things it is permissible to let a goy use kochot hatuma to save a life.

You're right, Reb Dov, but when a Rav makes leniancies on conversions that is another matter. Conversions should never be made too easy. We know that someone who wishes to convert should try three times and only on the third try when the Rabbi is convinced that he/she is sincere, should that person be given the way to giur. The State has made conversions now a mockery which will separate the nation into two nations; one real and the other a mockery. We don't need a repeat of the Erev Rav. This is the work of the Erev Rav already in power that wants and is determined to water down every bit of Torah!

The adrenaline for a false rise in the markets is being removed albeit gradually and not until September, and now reality will set in.

On Parshas Balak - Thoughts based on the OU Torah Tidbits Lead

Our Greatest Ally and Weapon

Balak did not understand is that we have the greatest ally possible in the world - G'd. His plan was to fight an unconventional war. To him that meant to hire Bil’am and have him curse to the people so that he would be able to prevail against us. In today’s world, unconventional warfare involves chemical, biological, and/or nuclear weapons.

Now to The BIG Question: Is G'd our ally and weapon without condition?

Of course not. We have a Bris with Him, The Bris Bein HaBesarim ("Covenant Between the Parts"). In parshas Balak we again learned that the hard way - We betrayed G'd in the worst possible way and our death-toll was 24,000 without our enemy lifting a sword or a word.

And today? What do we say? "We must develop a superior army with superior weapons and tactics and strategies. We must have the best military intel…" That may well be but we should not for a moment think and say in our hearts: "My strength and the might of my hand made me this wealth."

We must rather maintain and improve our relationship with our greatest Ally. Torah and Mitzvot and Chesed and Good Traits are our guarantee that we can with- stand and prevail no matter what the threat is from whatever enemy we have.

Parashas Balak again warns us not to lose Him, our greates Ally. "And you shall remember HASHEM your G'd, for it is He Who gives you strength to make wealth." And then "HASHEM YILACHEIM LACHEM", G'd will fight for you…

And we have also to understand that any success we achieve is only due to G'd's lovingkindness and His abundant goodness.

In a similar vein Me'ir I was thinking about who is Serayah ben Dan at the End of Days. Serayah is the gilgul of Chushim ben Dan who lopped off Esav's head in front of the Cave of Machpelah. We know from Moshe Rabbeinu's bracha on the Tribe of Dan that Dan is like a lion's cub who will leap forth from the Bashan (The Golan Heights). This has not yet occurred, and it likely refers to the present conflict that is brewing in Syria. When the conflict finally sets its trap and brings in NATO, Serayah will be there to be part of Israel's defense or offense at this border with Syria. And the leaping Serayah will do the equivalent of cutting off Esav's head. But wait, it is not so simple. He may not be a military figure at all. From what I can tell Moshe Ya'alon is not this end of days figure even though he is a major improvement over the village idiot who was the previous defense minister. Perhaps this Minister of Kah (Serayah) is involved in doing an important mitzvah, settling the Land of Israel, especially in Yesha which forms the Eastern border of our stringbean shaped land. As pointed out before on this blog, from the Mediterranean beach in Netanya to the Jordan River on the east, one traverses 40 miles as the crow flies. Yet, the Torah tells us that we live in a "wide" land, but this width of 40 miles is only wide enough if Jews live between the Mediterranean and the Jordan River. So it is a special mitzvah to settle this land in order to be given national security from the One Who Secures it. So who is the Minister in charge of this at this time in history? He is Uri Ariel (Light of the Lion of G-d, Hmm), the Housing Minister. Right now he has an uphill battle because of the PM Coward in Chief bowing before the Ba'al Kerry, but my sense is that he will eventually succeed in this very important mitzvah. And G-d will bless his efforts.

i get a little lost in the economic jargon. I understand that both articles speak of China's economic woes, but this one seems to feel the solution is to give China access to our treasury. Buying dollars, i guess.

Anyway, Dov can you speak to this one as compared to the one you posted?
Thanks. (p.s. feel free to link the address for better access)

Don't be too quick to dismiss this. The Vactican has been working for years to secure parts of Jerusalem and we are just about to sign over some strategic Land in the Old City.

It is the brain child of Shimon Peres along with a few others...that Jerusalem's Old City will be an "international zone" that is like the Vatican land itself. And that in fact the Vatican should administer it, giving access to all three religions to holy sites. (As if we, Israel, weren't already doing that !!)
If you don't know, even now, the areas around the Old City are brazenly and openly controlled by the Vatican. e.g. the Notre Dame Center near the New Gate. The new restaurant on top (highest point) and the entire Notre Dam Center is run by directives of the Pope, and dedicated to "Our Lady of Jerusalem - the Queen of Peace). i.e. Mary.
If that doesn't send creepy chills I don't know what will.. :(

The Fast of the 17th of Tamuz begins this coming morning, and the "3 weeks" of mourning for the destruction of the 2nd Temple begins in full at that time. As mentioned before on this blog, we may be one day early this year with each calendar date. So if something happens with regard to the Fast of Tamuz, it could take place during the 36 hour period from dawn this coming morning through the 18th of Tamuz. Have a meaningful fast.

Seventeen (the 17th of Tammuz) has the numerical value of the word tov, meaning “good.” This day, the 17th of Tammuz, has within it, in a very deep way, the potential to be revealed as tov. When Mashiach comes, the 17th of Tammuz and Tishah BeAv will be days of great rejoicing; they will be yamim tovim , because that day, when it seems that evil was strongest, was in a hidden way the greatest good.

It takes only takes minutes for Mashiach to come and the Beis HaMikdash to be built. So we have to put our focus now on the positive, on the fact that the galus is almost over. Let’s not dwell on the galus. Let’s think of the geulah , of the good. One way of preparing for the geulah is studying about it. When a woman has a baby, she doesn’t forget that after the pregnancy comes the baby. She wants to know about how to take care of the child. She starts reading the child care books while she is pregnant, before she gives birth, because she knows that the pregnancy is only a temporary state and eventually that will be forgotten and her focus will be on the child. The same thing here. We have to focus on the future, on the Beis HaMikdash.

HaShem said to the Prophet Yechezkel (Ezekiel), “Why don’t you learn about the building of the Beis HaMikdash ?” So he said, “What good will it do to learn about the Beis HaMikdash ? It is not standing.” HaShem answered him, “If you study about the construction of the Beis HaMikdash I will consider it as if you are actually involved in constructing it.” We shouldn’t say, “What can we do? We’re a bunch of women. We’re going to start building the Beis HaMikdash ?” If you want to do something actual and real to hasten the construction, one way you can do it is by starting to study everything you can about the Beis HaMikdash , and about Mashiach and the geulah. May it all come very speedily, so that the galus will very soon be only a distant nightmare.

Kabbalist Calls for Jews to Return Home

A Kabbalist Elder in Bnei Brak told his students on Friday, Dec.21, 2012 that time is running out for Diaspora Jews to return to the Jewish State.

Rabbi Eliyahu Leon Levi of Bnei Brak

Delivering a lecture at the Kotel

Rabbi Eliyahu Leon Levi, a 73-year-old sage of Turkish Jewish descent who continues a tradition of Kabbalah from his grandfather and father, issued a passionate cry for the Jews of the United States to purchase homes in Israel and begin planning their move. He said that just like in Iran before the Shah was ousted, the Jews were prospering financially. But then suddenly everything changed, and many couldn't leave with their wealth.

"A similar scenario will occur in the USA," he warned. "Jews must leave and take their money with them. The day will come when they won't be able to leave with their wealth," he said.

The Or HaChaim (Rabbi Chaim Ben Attar) taught that the tragedies of the exile are Divine signals to prod the Jewish People to return to Israel.

In his native Morocco, the Or HaChaim was targeted by the government, and falsely accused of things that he had no part in. He was thrown into jail on more than one occasion, and even thrown into the lions den from which he came out unharmed.

In 1738 when hunger plagued Morocco, he reached the conclusion that he must move to Israel, and he began his long journey.

In the introduction to his Torah commentary, the Or HaChaim writes:
"Those who pursued me didn't relent. I prayed for peace, but behold, enemy after enemy assaulted me, one trouble after another, until I was up to my neck in distress. I wondered from town to town, becoming a fulfillment of the verse, 'He that flees from terror, shall fall into the pit."
"And then G-d opened my eyes. I realized that the reason for these troubles and plagues was none other than to signal me to ascend to the place of the Shechina, the city which is so exalted and so dear to G-d of the world."

Note that the final straw that convinced the Or HaChaim to make aliya was the financial collapse in Morocco induced by famine. It was not a decree specifically targeting the Jews

The Holy One, blessed be He, continues to dismantle and destroy, to cleanse and purify the entire world, and whatever is holy and pure will remain! All neighboring Arab nations and beyond our immediate area will fold like a tower of cards one after the other. All that will remain in the world is good people doing good! The bad ones will be destroyed and will destroy themselves!

The war of Gog and Magog is a war for the goyim, closed and sealed in heaven and on earth! All the activities now are a preparation for crowning King Mashiach! King Mashiach comes and goes in each generation, but in this generation he will stay forever and ever! This is the reason that the Holy One is dismantling the evil in the world, the impurity, and is preparing the path towards crowning King Mashiach! The hardest job is being done by the Holy One in the world, and King Mashiach will continue the work, to clean and purify the entire world in order to bring all the Jews to holy Eretz Yisrael and to build the Third Temple to stay eternally! The world will be one of love, unity and love for no reason. This is the Creator’s plan, and whoever didn’t know – knows now!

“Whoever is for God come to Me” in holy Eretz Yisrael!

All members of Knesset were elected in order to protect and safeguard the State of Israel. Regarding what is happening between the parties the Holy One is saying: it’s all nonsense, it’s all arrogance and honor and it’s a pity that they are a banner and representatives of  Eretz Yisrael. Take yourselves in your hands and stop the honor games! You are endangering the State of  Israel and in the meantime the goyim are exploiting every second, making fun and laughing at you and are planning damage within holy Eretz Yisrael.

Me'ir: Thank you for all the contributions. I simply don't have koach on long fast days. Given the unbelievable chaos taking place around us in both Egypt and Syria/ Lebanon and given the PM's desire to sit down with our mortal enemies by releasing murderers from jail, b'Poel we are either at the end of the nine months from the UN vote for Palestine on the 15th of Kislev 5773 (Nov. 29th, 2012), or we are in for surprises at the end of this year. The vote for Palestine was 138-9. Jewish End of Days blog pointed out that two of the possible names for Mashiach are Menachem and Tzemach. Tzemach is the name that Zecharia HaNavi seemed to prefer. In both cases the Gematriah of both names is 138. The vote was to remind us of Bila'am's curse/ bracha that we are a nation which dwells in isolation. And the important fact about that vote is that that resolution officially divided Yerushalayim in the UN General Assembly, tearing the Eastern half of Yerushalayim from our arms. And with this building freeze, King Sha'ul seems to concur for the time being. Again for this particular nine month period to play out, we are presently at the beginning of month number 8. I should also point out quickly that since only 9 nations voted against it, the entire world can be destroyed because the UN could not even muster a quorum of 10 partially righteous nations.

Moses blessed the People of Israel before he died, "And Israel shall dwell in security isolated." This is one of the best blessings of Torah, if only we'd heed it...

In the south of Israel in the Negev Desert, lives an amazing creature, the Yael - the Ibex, or Israeli mountain goat. You won't find a more sure-footed animal in creation. It's breathtaking to see the Yael walk along steep and narrow mountain ledges, where the slightest slip means plunging down hundreds of meters to the canyon below. But the fact that the Yael lives in such rugged and trecherous terrain is also his protection. He dwells alone, where no predator or enemy can reach him.

When we the people of Israel dwell on a spiritual high of unshakable emuna, no predator or enemy can reach us either. Perhaps one of the reasons that the Shofar is made from the horn of a Yael is to teach us to be like him. When we put all our trust in Hashem, we too are surefooted and never fall.

The important news is that Chanuka is almost here, reminding us to rid ourselves of any and all foreign influence and dependence. The insignificant news is that Britain and France, the two countries in Europe that will be the first to be taken over by Islam, are threatening (if they haven't already) to recall their ambassadors because of the new housing that's scheduled to be built in Jerusalem, Judea, and Shomron. Sirs, feel completely free to go home to your two-faced and immoral governments.

Any time throughout history when Israel depended on a foreign power led to submission and tragedy. It's about time we did what Hashem wants us to do and not what foreign governments want us to do. The cowardly building freeze in Israel during the last few years as a capitulation to the White House did not bring peace; it only created a shortage of at least 20,000 housing units and drove apartment prices here through the roof. The 3,000 units that the Israeli Government is currently planning are certainly welcome, but still a drop in the bucket.

Don't be afraid as the nations of the world isolate us - Hashem is doing this for our very best and as preparation for the imminent redemption of our people - the Geula. You'd like to be part of the Geula, wouldn't you? Or do you prefer to continue hiding your kippa in your pocket and wearing a baseball hat or a beret so that your hostile neighbors won't know that you're Jewish?

Live like a Yael, with no fear of anyone but Hashem. Vayishkon Yisrael betach badad - "And Israel shall dwell in security isolated."

Understand The Ways Of Hashem

The truth is sometimes unpopular or uncomfortable. Thus, people who wish to dismiss the Hand of Hashem from history and human affairs may be taken aback by the assertion of Rabbi Avigdor Miller, zt”l, based on the beginning of this parshah, that the suffering that befalls Israel comes for a Divine purpose. Rabbi Miller finds this purpose explicit in the opening words of Bechukosai, and observes that this “wish” (to dismiss the Hand of Hashem from history) is not a Jewish way of thinking.

“If you shall walk in My statutes” (26:3). The following promises and admonitions are called a “covenant” (bris). At the end of the Tochechah in Devarim it is stated: "These are the words of the Covenant which Hashem commanded Moshe to cut [i.e. to make] with the sons of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the Covenant which He cut with them at Horeb" (Devarim 28:69).

The Covenant at Horeb is this Tochechah of the book of Vayikra. The Covenant was made not only for the episodes of the First Destruction and of the Second Destruction. The purpose of Hashem in these portions of the Torah is clear: whenever any calamities have come upon the nation, or upon some part of the nation, the people of Hashem’s Torah must attribute these misfortunes to the disapproval of Hashem: "If you will not hearken to Me, and you shall not fulfill all of these commandments" (26:14).

Certainly if the nations of the world are the messengers of misfortune they are held guilty; but to attribute the calamity to our enemies and to ignore the Ruler of the World as the sole true author of all that transpires is a breach of the Covenant and a contradiction of the Torah. We today are not capable of discerning the sins of our ancestors, but our ancestors themselves declared in the Scriptures and in the Talmud the misdeeds for which these disasters were visited upon them.

The tendency today to omit the Hand of Hashem and to dwell solely on the guilt of the enemies of Israel is a direct contradiction to these two very prominently stated Covenants. To shrug off the very great calamities of our time by saying “We cannot understand the ways of Hashem" is actually a concealed form of the atheistic attitudes that have seeped in from the outside world. "And it shall be, when all these matters shall come upon you, the blessing and the curse that I have put before you, and you put this to your heart, among all the nations where Hashem your G-d has driven you" (Devarim 30:1).

“And many evils and troubles will come upon them; and he shall say on that day: ‘Have not these evils come upon us because our G-d is not in our midst?’ " (ibid. 31:17). "Take this book of the Torah... that it be there a witness against you" (ibid. 31:26). In addition to this purpose of the ensuing parshah as a post- facto testimony, it is certainly intended also as a stimulus to virtue and to Fear of Hashem. “I said: surely you will fear Me; you will take correction” (Zefaniah 3:7). By reading this parshah properly, we can be spared the experiences which are there foretold.

It is noteworthy that all the rewards for compliance with the Torah are solely in this life. The Rambam (Teshuvah 9:1) explains that the promises of happiness in this life are not intended as the ultimate reward but are promises of opportunity to accomplish more good deeds and to gain more merit. Similarly, the retribution of unhappiness which is foretold for transgression of virtue is not the ultimate punishment, which is in the Afterlife; but Hashem foretells the loss of opportunity to accomplish righteous deeds due to various forms of suffering.

6/25/2013 1:21 PM
Anonymous Meir M. said...

Thus it is said: "The reward for a mitzvah is a mitzvah, and the reward for a transgression is [another] transgression" (Avos 4:2), because he who seeks to do mitzvos is rewarded with opportunity to do more; and this is the greatest of rewards, as is said: ” Better one moment of Torah and good deeds in this world more than all the life of the World to Come" (ibid. 4:17).

Peace and prosperity are therefore to be greatly prized, and must be utilized for their great opportunity to achieve; for this gift of opportunity is the greatest of gifts. We also learn from this that the failure to utilize good health and tranquility is the greatest of misfortunes, worse than famine and war and pestilence.

The Jew does not wish to be isolated. He fears being alone, without allies. He fears man, he trusts only in man and so - in the exquisitely Divine way of the Almighty - precisely that which he fears will be sent upon him. He fears to do that which the Almighty demands - to annex the territories and establish Jewish sovereignty over them, as part of the Holy Land of Israel. The Almighty repays him by turning them into burning cauldrons of an intifada, with confused Israeli youth not knowing whether these Holy lands are indeed Jewish or "occupied". While a world that is normal and knows that if land belongs to you then you annex it, feels free to condemn a country that does not do so as an "occupier".

He fears to throw out the cancer raging in his midst - the Arab enemy - lest the world turn on him. He is repaid measure for measure by a grim Almighty as the world,! daily, condemns him for "oppression" of people that would not have been there had he had faith in G-d rather than fear of the Gentile.

In any event, the Jew will be isolated, and that is the greatest blessing imaginable. For so long as the Jew has even one ally, he will be convinced - in his smallness of mind - that his salvation came from that ally. It is only when he is alone - against all of his own efforts and frantic attempts - that he will, through no choice, be compelled to turn to G-d. And it is only when the Jew stands alone against a world unified in hatred against him, that the Almighty will turn, in His anger and wrath, against the nations that knew Him not, and His powerful arm that will bring salvation to the Jew will be the awesome proof to the nations that the Lord, G-d of Israel, is indeed One - the only One.

That is why isolation will be. That it is why it must be. It is the greatest of blessings, and the foolish Jew of little faith sees it only as a curse. Foolish Jew, Jew of Exile, whose soul and mind has been destroyed by that Exile, who has turned from a Jew of faith into one of trembling before the man of dust

Unless. Unless we become the Jews we were meant to be. The Jews of chosenness. Of might and faith. Unless we ignore both the money and the honey of the United States and their empty threats and condemnation. Condemnation? It is dandruff to be brushed away before moving on to do the will of G-d. In any event, there is no choice. The United States will turn on Israel, slowly and subtly. The difference is that if we turn from the Gentile first, we will have the Almighty as the immediate staff and our comfort. If not, we will have neither the Gentile nor, for a terrible stage, the Almighty.

20 March 2013 Obama calls for dividing Israel

“Palestinians deserve a state of their own,” Obama said during a joint news conferencewith Abbas in Ramallah.

Obama believes that a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians is possible.
“If we can get direct negotiations started again I believe that the shape of a potential deal is there,” Obama said.
Obama said he told Israeli officials that the White House does not consider settlement activity in the West Bank to be appropriate or constructive. He says Palestinians should not have to confront the daily indignities that come with occupation.

Evidences that the "Four Horns" foretold in Zechariah 1:18-21 to be scattering Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem are the four nations of the "Quartet"!

The President made an enormous mistake this week in calling for the Land of Israel to be divided and Jerusalem to be divided along pre-1967 borders. This is in direct defiance of the Bible. It won’t work, and it will bring judgment to the U.S., according to Joel chapter 4.

Do not divide the Land of Israel — the G'd says, “I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land.” The Bible is very clear: G'd is going to judge all the nations for dividing up the Land of Israel.

Let the United Nations and the United States and the European Union and the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli government itself be warned. What appears like wisdom to the world — carving up the State of Israel like a Thanksgiving turkey — is direct disobedience to the Word of God and will trigger the most severe divine judgment.

What is happening in Israel … “ceding territory in exchange for peace” … is fulfilling the prophecy of Joel 3:2 surprisingly. God said it would enter into judgment with the nations because they are dividing the land of Israel.

The army generals have backed this peace plan, which many are unaware they are Illuminati plans. Orthodox Jews are of the opinion that this “peace plan” is a recipe for war, not peace. Now, Israel is in a chess match, and it seems that Israel is in checkmate. Israel has delivered 42% for of the Palestinians of the West Bank land, leaving only 8%. Israel is trying to turn back the concessions already made, the result will be war. If Israel advance the peace plan, and deliver, or to join, what is missing, the war will erupt in full force. At long years, Israel was forced to cede these lands, and the only part that is missing is Jerusalem.

God’s judgment on this issue is war (Joel 3:9-12). God always sent prophets to the Jewish people prevent these wars, for evil (wars) do not hit them. Whenever Israel sinned, God allowed some evil (even other nations as war) on them so they could repent and so turn to the Lord. If they did not repent of their sins, would be the possibility of these evils reach the nation of Israel. This issue of giving land for peace, will bring wars and more wars.

Incredibly, the nations are training with sophisticated weapons the Palestinians, as Palestinians equipping with modern security systems, so creating a military force fully armed Palestinian. See the news here:

6/25/2013 9:22 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Now let’s analyze:

1-This peace plan is a plan Illuminati? yes, and is angering the heart of G'd.

2-What happens when declare peace and security? The military forces being trained maintain order and security and peace in the region, it is obvious…Therefore that peace and security will be temporary, and why? God said: When say peace and safety then sudden destruction cometh upon them (1Thess 5:3).

G'd will allow the nations go to war against each other … The nations go to war with each other, nation against nation … and kingdom against kingdom … because this peace is an unresolved issue … This will be the beginning of the prophesied judgment.

“In mid-January, a terrifying report, it was revealed to the public. Dated 10/12/96, compiled and researched by the Working Group on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare of the U.S. House of Representatives, and entitled ‘Approaching the New Cycle of Arab-Israeli Fighting …

In summary, this report says that countries like Syria, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Lebanon, Gaza, Jordan and Egypt are planning and preparing for a final and devastating war of annihilation against Israel . This includes acquiring nuclear, biological and chemical, in combination with conventional weapons, such as tanks, planes and soldiers, all in massive amounts. ” [P. 43 of the report].

This means that the Intelligence Service of Congress now knows that Israel is being threatened by a massive attack of the coordinated Arab nations. This means that the U.S. President also knows. However, he is very involved in applying pressure on Israel to force it to make concessions of land in exchange for peace. The U.S. and Western nations are training and equipping forces to Palestinian military keep this security in the region, that is part of the plan peace Illuminati.

So, it not makes sense why the U.S. is sponsorship so if this is part of the plan to annihilate Israel. The answer is very simple: The U.S. is following the plan Illuminati, designed to start the Arab-Israeli War, see:

“The beginning of this war will be when the Force Military Palestine, 40,000 heavily armed men, start a concentrated attack from within Israel. When the Israeli army is moved of the border to put an end to Palestinian attacks, the Syria and Egypt will attack the borders. Expected to Syria is the wick planned that will trigger the war, bringing its troops to the border with Israel on the Golan Heights and Lebanon, leading Israel to make a preemptive strike. This will provide the justification to other members of the covenant of war join Syria”

Now that the Fast of the 16th of Tamuz is over this year (normally we fast on the 17th of Tamuz), I have eaten a nice break fast from my wife's great cooking, and I can think straight again. For those who are unclear about this, let me explain. In ancient times the Sanhedrin had the power to delay Rosh Chodesh one day from the 30th day to the 31st day, if the pairs of witnesses that came were not kosher witnesses. Also if Sanhedrin knew that the moon could be seen at sunset but if the sky was cloudy, they could coerce witnesses to say that they saw the New Moon. But never in ancient times would the Sanhedrin declare a New Moon before it could be seen. This past 1st of Tamuz 5773 the molad was after the stars came out, meaning that there was no New Moon to be seen on the 1st of Tamuz at sunset. So all the days should be pushed forward one day. I am not calling for a mass rebellion against the calendar of Hillel HaSheini. He intentionally did not want Yom Kippur to fall out on Motzei Shabbat or on Erev Shabbat. So in years like 5773, he intentionally removed the 30th of Kislev. But just note that until the 30th of Cheshvan 5774, we are one day early.

This is the plan: training a military force Palestinian, making Israel enter in the war, and use the most powerful weapon in the world (scalar weaponry) and start WW3…

Arab nations may have the atomic bomb, sophisticated modern weapons, but has no scalar weaponry. Only three nations have scalar weaponry (Israel, China, Russia). The only nation that Israel may face is the Russia-China. Russia will be defeated in the war of Gog & Magog, in the prophecy Ezequiel 38. (According to Christian belief, China [the armies of the east] will be destroyed at the Battle of Armageddon, in the prophecy of Revelation 16:12-16).

G'd will enter into judgment with the nations and will allow the Illuminati (evil) start the war, as it has allowed them to allocate the land of Israel.

For the past eight years, Canada has helped train and fund more than 8,000 Palestinian soldiers despite misgivings…

In the continuing adventures of Edward Snowden, I thought that those of you who are keeping track of what he is releasing and how he is protecting the information that he has would be interested in this:

Snowden encrypts the files that he has so that if something happens to him, the info will be released.

I figure that he has no plans on releasing all of the info that he has unless the CIA tries to kill him. His original release has definitely allowed Americans to know that the NSA is keeping track of their cell phone records and might be listening in on more than just a few conversations.

If it falls below $3 per pound, the world will be in an economic depression.

So now if two homosexual men get married in Boston and then move to Kansas, Kansas will have to recognize the marriage. It was a 5-4 decision. What do politicians stand to gain by allowing gay marriage given that the institution of marriage amongst heterosexuals is in steep decline cross much of the world (both within the secular world and even within the Religious Jewish world, thanks largely to misandric marriage / divorce laws)?

The only people who clearly stand to gain from gay marriages are the divorce lawyers, who've recently hit hard times after exhausting and greatly profiting from divorces among straights to the point where men are now (very) reluctant to marry.

The Decline of Nations

Nations most often fall from within, and this fall is usually due to a decline in the moral and spiritual values in the family. As families go, so goes a nation.

In the first stage, men ceased to lead their families in worship. Spiritual and moral development became secondary. Their view of G'd became naturalistic, mathematical, and mechanical.

In the second stage, men selfishly neglected care of their wives and children to pursue material wealth, political and military power, and cultural development. Material values began to dominate thought, and the man began to exalt his own role as an individual. The third stage involved a change in men's sexual values. Men who were preoccupied with business or war either neglected their wives sexually or became involved with lower-class women or with homosexuality. Ultimately, a double standard of morality developed. The fourth stage affected women. The role of women at home and with children lost value and status. Women were neglected and their roles devalued. Soon they revolted to gain access to material wealth and also freedom for sex outside marriage. Women also began to minimize having sex relations to conceive children, and the emphasis became sex for pleasure. Marriage laws were changed to make divorce easy.

In the fifth stage, husbands and wives competed against each other for money, home leadership, and the affection of their children. This resulted in hostility and frustration and possible homosexuality in the children. Many marriages ended in separation and divorce.

Many children were unwanted, aborted, abandoned, molested, and undisciplined. The more undisciplined children became, the more social pressure there was not to have children. The breakdown of the home produced anarchy.

In the sixth stage, selfish individualism grew and carried over into society, fragmenting it into smaller and smaller group loyalties. The nation was thus weakened by internal conflict. The decrease in the birthrate produced an older population that had less ability to defend itself and less will to do so, making the nation more vulnerable to its enemies.

Finally, unbelief in G'd became more complete, parental authority diminished, and ethical and moral principles disappeared, affecting the economy and government. Thus, by internal weakness and fragmentation the societies came apart. There was no way to save them except by a dictator who arose from within or by barbarians who invaded from without.

Although this is an ancient pattern of decline found in Greece and Rome, it is relevant today. Families are the foundation of a nation. When the family crumbles, the nation falls because nations are built upon family units. They are the true driving social force. A nation will not be strong unless the family is strong. That was true in the ancient world and it is true today.

Social commentator Michael Novak, writing on the importance of the family, said:

One unforgettable law has been learned through all the disasters and injustices of the last thousand years: If things go well with the family, life is worth living; when the family falters, life falls apart.

In the times of Noah and Lot, there was the idolatry of greed, there was sexual perversion and promiscuity, there was anarchy and violence, and finally there was judgment. Throughout the history of the nation of Israel there was idolatry, sexual perversion, anarchy (in which each person did what was right in his own eyes), and finally judgment.

This progression happened throughout the Bible and to Greece, to Persia, to Babylon, and to Rome. And if it happened to these nations, then it can happen today.Unless we return to G'd's principles, decline and destruction are inevitable.

Russia, Iran, Turkey, and Allies
Will Attack and Invade Israel

G'd warns Iran (Persia), with Russia (Magog), and a coalition of allies (including Turkey, Libya, and Sudan) will attack and will invade Israel. In Ezekiel 38-39 the Bible warns this coming war between Iran (Persia) and Israel will take place sometime after Israel has been re-gathered into Her land as a nation (which was fulfilled on May 14, 1948) ... this prophetic war has never yet taken place ... the only time in history Persia (Iran) has ever gone to war against Israel was to help Israel throw off the yoke of the Byzantine Empire around 614 AD.

THE BIBLE warns the US will NOT defend Israel. According to the Bible, Israel must stand alone ... with G'd. For when this coming war does finally start, the United States will be unwilling (or unable) to help Israel defend herself. Even though the Bible warns the invading armies will be ultimately destroyed by G'd, it will be a devastating war for both Israel and the whole world.

We are not exactly sure when this attack/invasion will take place ... but, from current news headlines, it looks as though it is now getting very close. As noted above, if you study your history books you will find the only time in history Iran (Persia) has invaded Israel was in 614 AD, and this invasion was to help Israel break the yoke of the Byzantine Empire. The current threats of war Iran is making against Israel represent the first time in history the world has seen the imminent fulfillment of this prophecy. Add the fact Russia is fully backing Iran, and Turkey is quickly turning against Israel, and all of these nations either are, or soon will be, armed with nuclear weapons, you will find the world may soon be facing this terrible prophetic war . . .

A recent report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed that Iran is working on nuclear weapons and that it could probably field such weapons in no more than a year's time. That means diplomatic efforts have failed, and barring a dangerous preemptive strike by Israel and/or America, Iran will obtain nuclear weapons.

Many in the West are now focusing their efforts on downplaying the dangers of a nuclear Iran. They argue that just as the Soviet Union did not use its nuclear weapons against the West, so, too, will Iran show restraint. But such commentaries fail to take into account the deeply ingrained religious ideology of those who rule Iran, who see themselves as the instruments of Allah in ushering in a new golden age for Islam.

What does all this mean for Israel, assuming the Yalkut Shimoni is accurate? The text reads:

"...and Israel are in panic and distress and asking 'where shall we go? Where shall we go?,' and He says to them 'my sons, do not fear; all that I have done, I have done only for you. Why are you afraid? Do not fear, your time of redemption has come, and the final redemption is not like the first redemption, because the first redemption was followed by sorrow and servitude under other kingdoms, but the final redemption is not followed by sorrow and servitude under other kingdoms."

Israel is indeed already showing signs of that panic and distress. Over the past month, Israel has been engaged in tense public debate over whether or not to strike Iran's nuclear facilities, and newspaper spreads have detailed what could happen to the Jewish state both if it attacks and if it does not. Meanwhile, Israel's Home Front Command has been practicing for a massive unconventional missile barrage on Tel Aviv.

I do not disagree with you regarding the cyclical Decline of Nations, even Tacitus in his book Germania held the strict monogamy and chastity of Germanic marriage customs among the German tribes worthy of the highest praise in contrast to what he saw as the vice and immorality rampant in Roman society of his day, which along with the attempts to restore marriage and fertility in other civilisations validates the above.

Having said that, it would be unfair to blame men for how things are in today’s world let alone in the past (I’ve read more than enough books unjustly blaming men and demanding they “man up” via shaming language). After all they were sold a false traditional life script and an over-idealised view of women as pure privileged infallible goddesses with the power to save men from themselves (yet are at the same time also victims of unworthy predatory beastly men) by two-faced misandric societies.

Only for men to later find out that what society taught and sold them (whether the average male or oppressed baalei bayit) was a massive lie, after coming to that realisation and undergoing something similar to the five stages of grief known as “Taking the Red Pill” (due to the Matrix-like magnitude of the lie they were told).

The main question is how men can reconcile the ideal of what Society / Judaism taught them about marriage and the grim reality of men standing to lose on the micro/individual-level should a marriage end, what any nation stands to lose if they were to attempt to bailout hugely indebted countries like Egypt or Greece on the macro/systematic-level?
