Piercing (Pirtzah) the Darkness that is (Tzarfat) at the End of Days, Part One

Three Decades ago the seventh and last Lubavitcher Rebbe told us that Tzarfat would be the last home base of the Evil Inclination at the End of Days when the 70 nations of the world would unite against us to divide the Land of Israel as mentioned in Zecharia 14 and Yo'el 3 and 4.  In both Zecharia and Yo'el, the language is that "all" the nations or "all 70" nations from the Tower of Bavel would unite to divide Yerushalayim (in the case of Zecharia) and all of the Land of Israel (in the case of Yo'el 4).  And the language in both cases is TO DIVIDE.  He said this based on Bereishit 28:14 which says that while HaShem appeared before Ya'akov Avinu after Ya'akov had his dream of a ladder with angels ascending and descending, HaShem told him:  יד  וְהָיָה זַרְעֲךָ כַּעֲפַר הָאָרֶץ, וּפָרַצְתָּ יָמָּה וָקֵדְמָה וְצָפֹנָה וָנֶגְבָּה; וְנִבְרְכוּ בְךָ כָּל-מִשְׁפְּחֹת הָאֲדָמָה, וּבְזַרְעֶךָ. 14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south. And in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.  From this we see that at the End of Days, while not in our ancient past, Ya'akov seed would Ufaratzta, a double entendre which can mean "to pierce or burst through" or "to spread out". that is that the Messianic Era would erupt on the world scene through as veil of darkness and would encompass the entire planet by bursting through the last great darkness of our world of lies!  And when would this occur?   Well we see from the verb Ufaratzta (וּפָרַצְתָּ) that first we remove the Vav which turns a past tense verb into a future tense verb leaving us with (פָרַצְתָּ).  Then we juggle those same letters around a bit and we get the name Tzarfat (צרפת).  Now according to the Lubavitcher Rebbe from this we learn that at the time the light of Mashiach bursts through the darkness of this present World of Lies, the 70 nations who yearn to divide the Land of Israel at the End of Days will try to execute their evil plan from Tzarfat!  (Remember that the Gematriah of Gog UMagog (גוג ומגוג) is 70.)  And 70 nations DID gather in Tzarfat on January 15th, 2017 (17th of Tevet 5777) for this purpose precisely 271 days, the length of an ideal pregnancy, before the end of Chag Sukkot 5778!  If Kislev had had 30 days as it usually does, then the 271st day would have been Hoshana Rabbah itself!  But this year because of a necessary tweak in the Jewish calendar, Kislev only had 29 days JUST so that next Yom Kippur would not fall on a Motzei Shabbat so that we would not have two days in a row of total Issur Melachah (when all creative work is forbidden for 48 hours including not being able to cook).  Notice that the the molad for Shevat was actually immediately after the beginning of Rosh Chodesh Shevat on Friday night here in Israel.  It was at 5:36pm while sunset on Shabbat Rosh Chodesh Shevat was around 5:10 pm.  Surely a new moon would not have been seen in ancient times on the night of this past Rosh Chodesh, but this was done this way by those who inter-calculated the calendar in the Fourth Century just so that the following Yom Kippur would not fall on Motzei Shabbat. If Rosh Chodesh Shevat and later Rosh Chodesh Tishrei 5778 were to be declared solely from spotting the nascent crescent New Moon, Rosh Chodesh would be the following day in Tishrei, Rosh HaShanah 5778, making the 1st of Tishrei on a Friday instead of a Thursday.  So it is easy to see that in Shamayim this Paris Pieces Conference was PRECISELY 271 days prior to and including Hoshana Rabbah 5778, the length of an ideal pregnancy in the Talmud in Niddah.

This story, though, of France as a nation of debased prostitution in the bedroom and in the halls of international diplomacy does not have a recent beginning.  It goes back to the beginning of the 70 nations.  We read from Bereishit 10 that Yafeth's son Gomer had three children: Ashkenaz, Rifat, and Togarmah.  It is an accepted mesorah that Ashkenaz is Germany, and many think that Togarmah is Turkey. But what about Rifat?  Rifat is the progenitor of ancient France which at its inception was a Celtic nation, only later to become a Romance nation after Caesar's invasion of Gaul.  The name for Rifat in Sefer Ovadia is Tzarfat which is Rifat with a Tzadee added to the front of his name.  To understand why he may have added that tzadee, an explanation will follow later in this post, but before there was Tzarfat (צרפת), there was Rifat (רִיפַת) without the initial tzadee.  Now these Celts from Tzarfat migrated up into England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland, but they got their start in the heart of France.  So a study of Celtic immediately tells you that Celtic is a Germanic (or Gomeric) language which fits our profile.  And as we know from Sefer Yechezkel, Rifat as one of the 70 original nations will gleefully join, the invasion of Israel lead by Meshech and Tuval as it says in Yechezkel 38:6:    גֹּמֶר, וְכָל-אֲגַפֶּיהָ--בֵּית תּוֹגַרְמָה, יַרְכְּתֵי צָפוֹן וְאֶת-כָּל-אֲגַפָּיו; עַמִּים רַבִּים, אִתָּךְ. Gomer, and all his bands (that is including Rifat and Ashkenaz); the house of Togarmah in the uttermost parts of the north, and all his bands; even many peoples with thee.

Looking at the original name for the French nation, the actual origin of the name screams for an interpretation.  The name Rifat is part of the Hebrew verb conjugation group called Binyan Pi'el (פיעל) with a Yud between the first and second letter of the root.  Binyan Pi'el is always active voice and unlike the basic binyan Pa'al (פעל), Pi'el with a Yud almost always has a direct object as an object that is acted upon even if the object being acted upon is only implied and not mentioned.  For instance, one can say that I sat or I sat down (ישבתי), Yashavti.  Notice the sentence "I sat." or "I sat down." does not have a noun after the verb which is a direct object and that you can say that sentence without the listener asking for that direct object.  This is often the case with Binyan Pa'al even though Binyan Pa'al may or may not act on a direct object.  It can go either way.  One can say "I wrote" (Katavti) or "I wrote the book" (Katavti et HaSefer.), same verb with or without a direct object.  Yet, with Pi'el, the verb usually begs for the need for a direct object.  Getting back to the Yud Shin Vet shoresh (in Pi'el), Yishavti ( יישבתי) means "I settled" which is very similar to "I sat down" except that I sat down does not have a direct object while to say "I settled" begs the listener to ask, "You settled what?"  The answer would then be, (יישבתי את היישוב), I settled the yishuv or from another Pi'el word (קיימתי את היישוב) (Qiyamti eth haYishuv.)"I maintained the settlement."  In both cases a direct object is called for by the conjugation of the verb in Binyan Pi'el.  So getting back to our name Rifat, we see that Rifat (ריפת) before it became Tzarfat (צרפת) is a word in the Pi'el conjugation of the root (רפת).  A Refet is a cow barn, a place where one houses cows and a place where one milks cows too.  So our implacable enemy at the End of Days is an ancient Dairy Farmer!  From his name we see that he works long hours in cow barns.  Now for those of us who only drink Cholov Yisrael here in Eretz Yisrael and in places where it is readily available such as on the East Coast of the US or in Chicago, we really don't know if the French dairymen mix some of their cow milk with milk from horses or pigs, but at least the "face" that they show the world is that they are dairy farmers EVEN onto this present day.  Notice that number One and Two in the world in dairy production are Canada at number One and France at number Two.  Canada would of course be number One because in addition to their large French province, Quebec, their dairy production is supplemented by all their English speaking provinces in a much larger land mass than France or Quebec alone.  Yet, the French are STILL number Two in the world while Canada with Quebec included is at number One at dairy farming and dairy product production.  From this we see that Rifat IS still a dairyman even to this present day.  (In the previous post at the End of Comments on that post, I discussed why this might be important for those who can begin to put this post together with that comment.  I don't want to discuss it here.)

Yet, the French have another national character trait which personifies who they are as a nation.  The French have always been a nation whose pre-eminent feature is Zenut (not just in the bedroom but in the world of adopting the mores of others in order to be loved by them).  So when Julius Caesar showed up in this land of the Celts, they easily disposed of their Gomeric language, and they instituted a new Romance language just so that their culture would now be palatable in Rome.  Time and time again the French would repeat this pattern of easily surrendering their ancient heritage to the heritage of others in order to be loved by them.  This character trait or lack of character of the French nation would in a basic sense become characteristic of who they really are.  So in addition to being whores in the bedroom, they became the whores in the halls of international diplomacy too.  Yet, since Ancient France was really Rifat, how did they appear later with a Tzadee in front of their name?  In short, how did Rifat become TzaRfat??

For this we need to venture forth to Rav Matis Weinberg's Sefer on Chanukah where he discusses the difference between Yawan (יון} and Tzion (ציון).  Notice that the only difference between Yawan and Tzion is the tzadee or the Tzaddik.  Yawan and Tzion are very very similar in so many ways.   When Noach sent the dove forth from the ark it was a male dove which is usually known as a ben Yonah in Hebrew (בן יונה), he was sending forth into the world two nations, Yawan and Yisrael.  But in reality Yonah is the female of that species and usually represents Yisrael.  Truncating off of Yonah its femine Hey gives us Yon (יון).  Now from this we see that the male of the species is Yawan!.  Now, Mashiach ben David, as opposed to Mashiach ben Yosef who represents all of Yisrael, the Yonah, physically at least, is also the male aspect of the Good inclination and is also represented by the exact same letters that represent Yawan and are also pronounced Yon (יון)!!  But Mashiach ben David is called a ben Yonah because he comes out of the Tribes of Yisrael who are called Yonah.  Now it is said about Greece and Yisrael,  They had their sages, and Yisrael had their sages.  They have eternity (Netzach), and so does Yisrael.  They believed that the greatest fruits of Man come from Wisdom and Reason.  So does Yisrael.  The similarities between Yawan and Yisrael run very very deep and are easily confused as a first impression by a perfunctory glance at the two civilizations.  From Shir haShirim (the Song of Songs) we see that HaShem recognizes the Equal Beauty of both Yawan and Yisrael, one from Yefeth and the other from Shem:

טו  הִנָּךְ יָפָה רַעְיָתִי, הִנָּךְ יָפָה עֵינַיִךְ יוֹנִים.15 Behold, you are beautiful, my love; behold, you are beautiful; Your eyes are as two doves.
The difference between the two nations lies in what comes next after Noach sent forth the dove a second time (not the perfunctory first time), the dove who represents both civilizations. from the Ark.  So first he sent forth the dove and it returned to the Ark because it could not find rest for its feet.  Then Seven Days later ON THE 8TH DAY, he sent forth the dove a second time.... And lo and behold the dove returns  לְעֵת עֶרֶב towards evening whose gematriah is 772, the first full year after Minchah Gedolah of the 6th Millennium (after 12:30pm on the Cosmic Clock), the year 5772, which is towards evening with an olive branch in his mouth.  This olive branch, of course, is a remez to Chanukah and how the difference between Israel and the nations of the world is the difference between the natural order in the number 7 and the transcendent or sanctified order in the number 8.  Even the word for oil Shemen refers to the number 8 or Shmonah!  And while other kosher oils that can be used to light Shabbat candles also attach the physical world to the transcendent world, Olive oil bypasses all spiritual intermediaries and attaches us to G-d's Throne of Glory.  Also the laws of the Torah that most bothered the Greeks were the laws that pointed to Israel as The transcendent, peculiar nation of the world.  From Brit Milah on the 8th day, to determining actual dates by spotting and sanctifying the New Moon and thereby determining destiny for such and such day of a particular month, Antiochus IV sought to forbid such activity.  The Greeks were a nation infatuated with the number 7 and the natural order especially after their desire for idolatry was removed from the world by the Men of the Great Assembly before Alexander the Great went forth to Hellenize the world (7 Wonders of the World or 7 notes in a musical scale aka the 7 Sephirot of the animal soul which they called the Music of the Spheres).  They despised the one nation that was commanded to serve a G-d who transcended nature itself. And by forcing Nature upon the nation that is commanded to serve a transcendent G-d,  that nation had no choice but to break the chains of the Hellenistic culture that tried to enslave its soul.

11 And the dove came in to him at eventide; and lo in her mouth an olive-leaf freshly plucked; so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.

And just PRIOR to sending forth the dove the first time we read:

וַיְשַׁלַּח, אֶת-הָעֹרֵב; וַיֵּצֵא יָצוֹא וָשׁוֹב, עַד-יְבֹשֶׁת הַמַּיִם מֵעַל הָאָרֶץ.  7 And he sent forth a raven (or crow), and it went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.

So in verse 7 we learn that first Noach sent forth the menuval or reprobate bird representing the most morally debased nations of the world as represented by the Oreiv (the Raven or the Crow).  These nations accuse even Noach of having relations with their mate (the female raven) because they would have relations with Noach's wife if they could have the opportunity.   Then according to Rashi, Noach waited 7 days to send forth the Dove who represents both Yawan and Israel because both are without blemish. As it says, in the Zohar 237a on the verse from BaMidbar 19:2 dealing with the red heifer:

ב  זֹאת חֻקַּת הַתּוֹרָה, אֲשֶׁר-צִוָּה יְהוָה לֵאמֹר:  דַּבֵּר אֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְיִקְחוּ אֵלֶיךָ פָרָה אֲדֻמָּה תְּמִימָה אֲשֶׁר אֵין-בָּהּ מוּם, אֲשֶׁר לֹא-עָלָה עָלֶיהָ, עֹל. 2 This is the statute of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying: Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer, faultless, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke.

The Zohar states that this is Yawan who is close to the path of emunah (but not there yet).  What the Zohar seems to be saying is that Yawan, more than any Noachide nation, has the potential to keep the 7 Noachide Laws.  This is the difference between the reprobate bird (our raven in the Flood account) and the dove who is released seven days later.  With their infatuation with the number 7 and the laws of nature, one might think that this would be second nature to the Greeks, but it isn't, of course.  Free will is a second nature, but choosing the Yetzer HaTov is NOT a foregone conclusion.  It is so much easier just to morally follow the other nations of the world that you are Hellenizing because of your conquest.  And that is precisely what ancient Greece did.  Because they had no Tzadee attached to the name Yawan, there was no guarantee for them to choose the harder path of righteousness.   So ancient Greece fell away, and only the Dove who attaches the tzadee or righteousness to its national destiny gets to turn the Yon (יון) the male dove released by Noach into (ציון) Tzion.  From Tzion the Torah will go forth, and the Word of the L-rd from Yerushalayim!

So the French seeing all this and knowing their antecedents (since they are from Yafeth like Yawan is) on the Ark of Noach, see all this and decide that they too want to be tzaddikim!!  But their definition of a tzaddik is NOT to follow the commands of their Creator.  Remember the French have a national tendency far more than the Greeks to adopt the culture of the nations of the world in order to be loved by them.  That is really the essence of their evil inclination, and they seem more adept at doing that than every other nation.  So, presto!, they decide to determine their own definition of their righteousness by how beloved they are!!  And in that merit of being beloved by so many nations (70 it seems), they get to add a tzadee to their name!!  So from working in the Refet, as a milk producer, suddenly they are instantly a tzaddik!! their own minds of course.  Remember in the 18th Century, there were two Revolutions for spreading democracy to Mankind:  The American Revolution which predicated their revolution on making a this worldly covenant with the Creator of the Universe and the French Revolution who simply believed in their motto:  Libertéégalitéfraternité  (We are all free.  We are all equal (not because we are created equal but because where we must end up must be equal). We are all brothers.)  Notice that by not predicating their revolution on a barometer of Noachide righteousness attached to their Creator, the French Revolution was doomed from the start.  And the American Revolution?  Well it just produced the greatest self-generated noble experiment in human history at least for serving G-d for reward in Olam HaZeh.  American national service to G-d may not be for Olam HaBa, but it is not America that is the Eternal nation in Olam HaBa anyway.  That distinction belongs to Israel.  But as a Noachide nation, at least America got the Olam HaZeh interaction with G-d down pat.  In contrast, the French Revolution internally was a disaster, but in their intense desire to be loved by the world, they continued to apply those disastrous principles to the world in which they excelled, the World of International Diplomacy.  So now at the end of history when 2/3rds of the people in all nations have reached a level of putrid reprobation, the spiritual level of the raven on the Ark, the French have become the focal point of uniting the debased values of the 70 nations of the world and pointing at G-d's chosen nation claiming to be more righteous than we are by virtue of how beloved they are amongst those 70 debased nations.  In this way, France is the last seat of the Evil Inclination at the End of Days.

Note: None of the above is meant to imply that all Frenchmen are steeped in the immoral value of diplomatic prostitution.  While the tendency of that French nation IS precisely that, individuals are often better than the cultural tendency of the nation that they are a part of.  And while the peak of the bell curve in France is toward this bad midah, the range of individuals at the base of any bell curve is far greater than the differences between nations as represented by where the peaks of the curve are in comparison with the peaks of the curves of other nations.  And French Jews?:  Obviously, the less French you are in this horrible character trait of desiring to be loved by a fallen world, that some have absorbed over this long galut, the more likely that none of this applies to you.

Well one thing does apply to French Jews. GET OUT OF THAT HORRIBLE PLACE, AND COME HOME!

Thanks you Reb Dov for your post !

What I can say as a French Jew, is that here our community feels less and less connected to the French statements regardin Israel at the UN.

Here at least you will NOT find a majority of jews supporting the left, which is a huge difference with american jews.

It is not really a matter of being religious : many friends of mine are not observant, yet they do not stop mocking and criticizing our government's ridiculous attempts to divide Erets Israel, all day long you can read posts on facebook mocking French foreign policy.

And what is crazy, is that we see many french Goyim who follow our statements, and start to consider that the french political system is completely rotten and demand more justice... something is going on at this very moment with the Presidential election, for May 2017, and it's completely crazy : François Fillon who was supposed to be the leader of the "Republican" party, and the best candidate to be the next President, is falling on his face.

Fillon did build his campaign on his moral values, and now several affairs started to blast, and reveal he is probably NOT so moral as he prentends...

Even the historical Part Socialiste is completey divided in 2 camps after its primaries, and many commentators think the party is almost dead ...

As a conclusion, it really reminds me when Eliahou Hanavi came to fight the Baal Peor, both of them trying to make a sacrifice without lightening a fire, and the jewish people started mocking the idolatrous priests as they did not succeed in lightning the altar with their tricks...

I do not know how long the French Jews will remain here in Tsarfat, but I am sure that many of us already know their children will not live here (and in particular most of the youngest who grew up in Jewish scools, they already know their future is not in France).

Many Frysian cows I see on that link. They are a nice people no big Jew hatred ever recorded there, and they were known even for murdering xtian missionaries a thousand years ago or so. Should the letters of their name bother me? Interestingly enough they was never really conquered by the Romans since they couldn't cope with the tide coming and gping, and all the mud and wind. So the Romans couldn't be bothered with Friesland. The place used to be a lot bigger at some point in time. With East Friesland now in Germany and West Friesland going a long way down the coast towards France. Ancient Breukelen (Brooklin) was a Frysian town really before the Bishop of Utrecht bought the lands.

I wanted to include this link in the original post, but originally could not find this link to Ya'ak's post from two years ago where we have a rigourous discussion about Rifat in Comments on this post. I include this here as an important reference source. I will try to add this to the main article a bit later. In short Saadia Gaon also said ancient Rifat was Medieval France.

Thank you. i especially liked how you brought the Rebbe’s U’faratzta and the explanation of Tzarfat. I have one question and one comment.

1. I don’t understand. Motzei R”H Shabbat was 5:48, and sunset was 5:14 in Jerusalem. Was it that much later for you in Kochav Yaakov? What am I missing here?

2. At the moment I read, "Time and time again the French would repeat this pattern of easily surrendering their ancient heritage to the heritage of others in order to be loved by them,” I thought of Israel and how they also want to find favor in the eyes of the nations … AND … how France cannot understand the ’nationhood’ of Jews, and therefore why they cherish their land, while France, as you pointed out, would surrender their heritage to be the ‘darling’ of the nations. They want Israel to “give up” because this is their psychological perspective.

3. When writing about the Greeks, “and by forcing Nature upon the nation that is commanded to serve a transcendent G-D,” it reminded me of Pharoah and Egypt and their relationship/worship of ‘nature’.

B”H I had some time to really concentrate on your writing. Kol HaKavod.

PS How is your son? Has he informed you of what’s going on at Amona?

I don’t remember, but did at the time, about the Rebbe. Some may find this interesting:

This mystical hymn (Ho’aderes V’hoemunah), attributed to Rabbi Yishmael ben Elisha Kohen Gadol, lists the praises of G-d. It was sung at the Rebbe’s Farbrengen to the tune of La Marseillaise, the French National Anthem. By converting its anthem into a Chassidic Nigun, the Rebbe explained, the nation is elevated. [Tishrei 13, 5738 • September 25, 1977]

"The Rebbe mentions it in the sicha, that the Sar of Tzarfas caused it to be changed after the Rebbe "adopted" it.
“In this context, a unique miracle of recent times is worthy of attention. Just as every nation has a flag of its own, every nation has a national anthem. France too possesses a national anthem, a melody rooted in the core of the French Revolution, and composed exactly two hundred years ago, on the eve of the French assault on Austria. It was with the chords of this melody that throngs of eager thousands were to celebrate the authority that had been wrested from the monarchy. Thus this melody came to symbolize precisely the self-assertive Napoleonic spirit which grew out of the Revolution, and which the Alter Rebbe opposed.

Several years ago, however, this melody was adopted by chassidim and sung together with the words of the hymn HaAderes VeHaEmunah,[25] which proclaims G-d's universal sovereignty. Shortly afterwards, certain chords and rhythms of this song were altered.[26] Seeking to explain this phenomenon, certain elder chassidim have commented that it is as if France willingly gave over its national anthem to the chassidim. And indeed, it is miraculous that a country should change its national anthem, particularly one related so intrinsically to its history.[27] This fact bears testimony to the unique spiritual changes that have transpired in France.

24-Translator's Note: This first happened at "770" on Simchas Torah, 5734.
26-Translator's Note: This took place in the winter of 5734 (1974). Later, in 5741 (1981), the French government reversed its stance[…].”

Sorry, to be posting again, but this also came to me while reading your post:

Perek Gimmel of Yoel 3 says, :And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.”

Here is a link to a frightful sight (cannot copy the video) "'Firehose' of lava flows from Kilauea volcano into sea” . Researchers from the USGS’s Hawaiian Volcano Observatory captured dramatic footage showing a ‘firehose’ of lava flowing from the Kilauea Volcano and into the sea. The video also captures littoral explosions as the super hot lava makes contact with the cold sea water at the Kamokuna lava tube

Neshama: The Rebbe and hundreds of other Rabbanim have been sweetening these last nine months for the last 2500 years ever since it was decided that we would have to travel through history along the path of Tochachah with the destruction of the 1st Temple. I fully believe that the one reason that this Paris Piece Conference was overruled by incoming Donald Trump is in part because of the Rebbe's work in sweetening the suffering of the last nine months, some of whose travail we witnessed today in Amona.

My son was one of the few in his class who was not arrested or taken by bus to Kiryat Malachi for "questioning". I am thankful for that. I believe that he is physically doing fine, but he might be depressed because of what happened.

On the issue of declaring the New Moon, I was speaking about the molad for Rosh Chodesh Shevat which was at 5:36pm with sunset at 7:10 pm. The molad for Tishrei 5778 will be at 11:28pm on the day of Rosh HaShanah itself and not before that date as is usually the case! This needs a detailed explanation. I can try to be brief about it, but hopefully you can get the idea

1. Before the destruction of the 2nd Temple, the Sanhedrin heard testimony for the New Moon the following day AFTER two witnesses spotted the New Moon at night. They would gather in the chatzer of the Temple, and the at least one pair of witnesses would be heard by the Av Beit Din. Everyone would be given a hearty Rosh Chodesh meal for their trouble of traveling long distances so that they would be encouraged to make that same trip again. I am not sure how many pairs of witnesses were actually brought into the "judge's chambers", but no one was discouraged from making the trip. Only after hearing testimony before Noon on the day of the daytime arrival at the Temple, was it determined before noon, that the Musaph for Rosh Chodesh should be offered up during the 7th hour of the day (between noon and 1pm halakhic time). So before the destruction of the 2nd Temple, the witnessing of the New Moon had to be the night preceding the declaration of Rosh Chodesh on that very day that follows that previous evening. At this point before the Rosh Chodesh Musaph offering was actually offered, the New Moon was sanctified upon accepting the testimony of at least one pair of witnesses. I think that at least one Beit Din of Judges upon hearing this testimony had to announce "MEQUDASH!", and Walla, the New Moon for the month was sanctified. So notice the order here. Witnesses show up and are tested by the Av Beit Din with penetrating questions dealing with the shape and the direction of the new crescent moon. Judges then hear the testimony from witnesses whose veracity have already been tested by the Av Beit Din, and only after that is the day of the New Moon sanctified. And only after that is the Musaph for Rosh Chodesh then offered up. ALL this changed with the destruction of the 2nd Temple when the Sanhedrin first moved to Yavne. continued.....

2. Once the Beit Din began to wander around the country starting in Yavne but eventually relocating to Tiverya after the destruction of the Temple, there was at this juncture NO Musaph offering to offer up on the altar because there was no Temple. So at this point, it was enough to just spot the Moon or to even assume that it could be spotted on a cloudy night if the clouds were not there! That process of deciding if the Moon could most definitely be seen required detailed knowledge of how long it was between one molad and the next (29 1/2 days + 793 chalakim where 1 cheilek is 3.33333 seconds. There are 1080 chalakim in every hour.) and how many hours after the molad would the moon be seen on a clear night depending on the moon's position between the earth and the Sun. The Sanhedrin knew these things in advance. So they usually knew when the moon could be spotted even before the witnesses would show up. It was also known that after two months of 29 days each, the next month would necessarily have 30 days. And after two months of 30 days each, the next month would only have 29 days. So many things were known in advance. Yet, witnesses would come to either Yavne or Tiverya as they did during the days of the 2nd Temple all the way until the 4th Century of the Common Era. Yet, at this point, the Sanhedrin had one way of extra leeway that they did not have when the Musaph offering needed to be offered up the following day. If someone, an ordinary witness, spotted the New Moon during twilight (after sunset but before it was totally dark with 3 stars in one quadrant of the sky), then in reality the Moon, it could be claimed could be seen on either the day that was still concluding before total darkness or the day that was just beginning after sunset!! Yet, the witnesses would still need to travel to Yavne or Tiverya to offer testimony so that Rosh Chodesh would then be declared the following day. BUT the Sanhedrin had another option here. If the judges themselves or the witnesses were really close by to the Beit Din in Yavne or Tiverya, they could immediately run to Beit Din, get their testimony approved and sanctified BEFORE three stars appeared in the sky! At this point the Sanhedrin had leeway to decide if Rosh Chodesh was either the day that was concluding or the day that was just beginning. It was really a suffeik (doubt) according to the Torah what day it really was as long as the Moon was sanctified BEFORE total darkness right after the moment that the New Moon was spotted! This is NOT legal fiction. It is legal reality within the confines of Halakhah. So if the New Moon was spotted and sanctified on a Wednesday night after sunset but before Gimel Kochavim in the sky, then Rosh Chodesh could ostensibly be either Wednesday or Thursday. So after the Churban Bayit, our sages had more leeway D'Oraita to decide which day was really Rosh Chodesh. Since they never liked it when Yom Kippur fell on an Erev Shabbat or a Motzei Shabbat, they made sure that Yom Kippur would fall on Shabbat in those years where this was an issue. And they did not like it when Hoshana Rabbah fell on Shabbat either because the mitzvah to carry willow branches on that particular day was only possible if it was not Shabbat. continued....

So it worked out that there were three days of the week that they could arrange for in advance that the 1st day of Rosh HaShanah could NEVER fall on. 1st of Tishrei could NEVER fall on a Friday (so that Yom Kippur would not fall on Motzei Shabbat). 1st of Tishrei could never fall on a Yom Rivi'i so that Yom Kippur would not fall on Erev Shabbat. And the 1st of Tishrei could never fall on a Motzei Shabbat so that Hoshana Rabbah (7th day of Sukkot) would not fall on Shabbat!! Because the Sanhedrin had more halakhic latitude to decide which day was Rosh Chodesh between the day concluding and the new day beginning when they did not have to concern themselves with offering up Musaph the following day, they would then decide which of the two possible days would be Rosh Chodesh at twilight between those two days. That day would be Mequdash AFTER either witnessing the new Moon and sanctifying it OR on a cloudy night knowing that the New Moon was up there and then sanctifying it at that point in time.

3. In the Middle or near the end of the 4th Century it was time to canonize the Talmud Yerushalmi, including the Gemorrah of the Amoraim in Eretz Yisrael, and close down the Sanhedrin until Mashiach would come. The depopulation of the Land of Israel and the Xtian Byzantine persecution had become so bad, that there was no way that the Sanhedrin could continue to function in Tiverya. So the last Sandhedrin had a decision to make. How could the months of all the years until Mashiach came be sanctified in advance EVEN if an exact calendar which would last at least 2000 years could be written down in advance?? They knew the exact times of the moladim for generations to come. They decided on which months had 29 days and which months would have 30 days, usually alternating them between 29 and 30 days. The exceptions would be that in some years Cheshvan (which would usually have 29 days) would have 30 days and that in other years Kislev (which usually had 30 days) would only have 29 days. And during leap years when 7 out of every 19 years a second Adar was required for a total of 13 lunar months, Adar Rishon would have 30 days while Adar Sheini would have 29 days. And of course, the tradition continued that Elul should in advance be assumed to be only 29 days long so that everyone knew when Rosh HaShanah at least began. So Hillel HaSheini prepared the calendar that we still use today over 1600 years later.... with one possible catch. According to some, they, the last Sanhedrin, sanctified all those months in the distant future in advance of the future New Moons ever being seen. According to other opinions this is a virtual halakhic impossibility! When given the mitzvah of sanctifying the New Moon, Moshe and Aharon, the first witnesses to the New Moon for Nissan 2448, needed to actually spot the Moon! Or if cloudy, they could at least assume that the new crescent was up in the sky to be spotted if there were no clouds. Yet, it was Nissan in Mitzraim. There was likely no clouds in the sky. They saw the New Moon for Nissan, and the rest is history. This is the halakhic template. First spot the Moon; Then testify with a co-witness; and then that Moon is sanctified!! To sanctify New Moons hundreds of years before they are even spotted is highly questionable halakhically. So because it IS a shaylah whether or not these months for the last 1600 years have been sanctified in advance, we can at least wonder which day out of two in any particular month prepared in advance by Hillel the 2nd, HaShem thinks is Rosh Chodesh.

This has tired me out. And I was up all night last night worrying about my son. Good night.

France is making conference to establish a Palestinian state, their plans is to put there all refugees and infiltrators. The Creator says: "I will destroy France!’ They are dealing with the Creator of the world. All Jews run away don't wait!

Europe and all other countries that go against the State of Israel, the Holy Land, think that if the acted with hate against Israel, then the Muslims, the infiltrators and all the enemies who are filling them will be their friends and will stop bugging them, this is their mistake, and they're wrong!

Muslims, Isis and the others will continue to fill Europe with hundreds of millions of people, who will destroy Europe. Europe will be ashes. If they hate Israel or no, Europe will be destroyed.

Now that the terrible deed is done the government must give the land back to it's true owner. However, the government must insure that only the true owner get his/her land and no more. That means that once the claimant provides acceptable evidence of ownership that land will be registered in the Tabu. Any land where the claimant cannot show ownership he/she will not be able to collect only on verbal statements. ALSO, since the claimant, without fact, caused damages to another individual he/she will be fined for the total cost and suffering incurred. Anything the claimant cannot or will not pay should be charged to those party/parties that brought the claim to the courts.

Maybe that will protect settlers from evil NGOs.

The Erev Rav is a scourge who by their presence make Eretz Yisrael as much a "seat" for the yetzer hara as it is in France. The only difference here is that they Eye of HaShem rests on the Land of Israel from the beginning to the end of the year. It only is happening now because the rest of this world is so low, they have no merit to even cause the most minimal pain and suffering here by their merits. So they employ scum like Na'or to do their bidding for them.

It is why when I wake up in the morning, I go to Foxnews and not to Arutz 7. There is little self-redemption from the Evil amongst us. White House: 'Settlements' may not help promote peace
Friday, February 03, 2017

The White House suggested on Thursday night that Israeli construction plans in Judea and Samaria “may not be helpful” to promote a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA).

At the same time, the White House clarified that President Donald Trump’s administration has not yet taken an official position on Israeli “settlement activity”.

This is the key statement from the White House:

"While we don’t believe the existence of settlements is an impediment to peace, the construction of new settlements or the expansion of existing settlements beyond their current borders may not be helpful in achieving that goal."

Probably the most important point about all this is as long as Trump or anyone else in the West tries to distinguish between the Muslims in their own countries who are causing so much anguish and the Muslims in Israel, teshuvah for Edom is impossible. The moment it dawns upon Trump or anyone else, that the problem with the Paleostinians is Islam and not some deficiency in the Jewish people, teshuvah for Edom is possible. The hypocrisy is dripping that they can't make that connection between how they view their relationship with Islam and they view our connection to Islam through the Squatter nation. Trump more than any other Western leader in memory (with the exception of Ted Cruz if he had actually won) has the potential of making teshuvah as a Noachide, not as a Xtian.

If Ted Cruz had won, he would have instantly recognized this hypocrisy, and there would have been no need for him to repent on this matter. But we would still be stuck in the paradigm where America is a majority Xtian nation..... which is no longer the case, explaining why Ted Cruz lost. One of the obvious changes as we switch into the Ben David Yovel cycle which we entered last year in 5776 was that HaShem now desires that the p'gam of Xtianity in America, as noble as it has been for 240 years, be replaced by the Bnei Noach movement.

There is more going on than we know. This statement from Trump about the settlements is out of character. He is tight lipped about many things. He's not going to telegraph all his moves like most nations do these days. Even Israel saying how and when they will attack or do this or that. Trump has been tight lipped about the soirees they are conducting in the Middle East. Question for you, Dov: Is it possible that Zechariah 12:10 is referring to Trump? The Left are plotting to have him killed and make no secret of it..

I was thinking about whether Zecharia 12:10 still probably applies to Bibi Netanyahu only because the Yichus of those who mourn for him fits his profile precisely. He is from the House of Natan (Zecharia 12:12), he is a Leivi who has tried, like all descendants of Shimi ben Geira, tried to destroy Amaleq in the Persian Empire (Zech 12:13). But he is now like a burnt out cinder. He has no fire left in him after spending the last 8 years as PM behaving like a used car salesman in order to deflect all that pressure coming from Sarkozy and Obama and everyone else in the world.

So along comes Jared Kushner, and lo and behold, Jared is a Leivi too!! (See the previous post.) In Jared's case though, he is not from the House of Natan unless someone can show me who Yosef ben Moshe HaLeivi Kushner's zt"l grandfather was. On the matrilinear side which matter's most for Mashiach ben Yosef (or at least Yosef Kushner's mother's side or the side of his wife Rae), did anyone in the family spend a significant time fighting Amaleq in the world.... Then I see that Rae Kushner after escaping from the ghetto she was in along with Yosef Kushner, together, joined the famous Bielski partisans in the forests of Belarus killing Nazis.... That qualifies. So find the Natan in Jared's patrilinear ancestry, and we are in business.

Matrilinear Yichus is infinitely more difficult to follow in one's family tree than patrilinear yichus. With Pat. Yichus, you just have to follow who your father's father's father's father is... going back about one hundred generations. And for the last 500 years or 1000 years, you can simply follow it by following the last names as the Susan Roth database has done for the Davidic Dynasty.

Matrilinear yichus is not just one's mother's mother's mother's mother. It is like following the X chromosome as it is passed on through the generations. Every once in a while it goes to a male in the family who then passes it on to one of his daughters.. So there are an infinite number of patterns to trace it back. mother's mother's father's mother's father's mother or mother's father's mother's mother's mother. And this special malkhut chromosome is passed on tied to the X chromosome not the y chromosome. Yehoshua bin Nun of Ephraim passed it on to one of his five daughters. (He had no sons.) Dariyavush who completed the 2nd Temple received it from his mother Esther (even though in this case it is from Rachel's other son, Binyamin). The 5 daughters of Tzelofchad from Sheivet Menashe, also from Yosef, received it from their father. Originally it did not just come from Rachel. It really started out with Milcah (the feminine side of malkhut) the wife of Nachor. It is unusual that the Torah tells us the name of the wife of a non-Jew when describing yichus, but Milcah's name is mentioned FOR THIS VERY REASON. She gave birth to Bethu'el who passed on the X of the feminine side of malkhut to Rivkah, his daughter, who passed it on to Ya'akov Avinu who passed it on to his daughter Dinah who passed in on to Osnat, who passed it on to Ephraim and Menashe. So not only was Yosef endowed with this feminine side of Malkhut to defeat Amaleq in the world which he received from his mother Rachel, but also his sons were ALSO given this malkhut from a completely different angle! Notice the complexity of following the X chromosome. And unlike patrilinear descent, there are no last names to follow since in each generation, the last name changes.

I am crestfallen over the revelation that France is the great dairyman of the world. In the last 2.5 years I have fallen in love with dairy cows and farming (from a distance, of course; such a city girl I am and have been, the most I've ever done is have a backyard garden; and the animals I've been closest to are cats and dogs.). So, to find out that the worst menuvalim in the world dominate in this area is crushingly depressing, to say the least!!!

But one glimmer of hope: Perhaps the good in that spark will also pass to us. I would like to see some varied breeds of cows, like Guernsey, Jersey and the milking version of Shorthorns and others, to come here with it. They produce better quality, more nutritious milk than the Holsteins/Fresians we city-folk are used to.

We already have Red Angus beef cows on at least one farm here in Israel, thanks to the Temple Institute's ongoing efforts to find, or have the herd they are creating give birth to, the Tenth Red Heifer.

CDG: For those who have ever seen the play Les Miserables, there is a song about the French innkeeper, which I cannot link to because it is too raunchy, called "Master of the House". It shows us how those infested with the negative side of French culture do business. They pretend to be generous with their right hand, but with their left hand they are picking your pocket.

So it would not surprise me if a lot of the cow milk was mixed with milk from non-kosher animals, just to increase the profit margin. I made that comment in this post too.

I believe you did mention the French Innkeeper song in another post. And I saw that comment about mixing kosher with non-kosher milk in this one. Not too long ago it was mentioned elsewhere (on a site strictly about kashruth in hu"l, I think) that American dairy farmers have been known to "infuse" (my word, not theirs) bovine milk with porcine milk for profit's sake since the 1950s. Apart from the kashruth aspect, I am surprised there is enough milk from pigs to make it worth their while. After all, they have their greedy young to feed and fatten up too!

So, even in America, Jews *must* seek out Halav Yisra'el milk and dairy products, rather than being satisfied by the word of the USDA that the milk is kosher by default.

Plus none of this about Trump's attempt to do the 2 State jig should surprise anyone. I am not sure how far he will try to force this situation though. It seems that he favors the Avigdor Lieberman plan, of seeking to create an Arab state where the Arabs reside including in the Arab Triangle in the Galilee, while at the same time allowing Israel through negotiations (laughable) to annex most of Area C where the Jews live in Yesha. That is likely a non-starter, but he will try anyway. What he may not know is that the "Squatter Nation" wants everything..., or maybe he does know this, but this is part of the Game.

If the talk about tumadik milk is a mashul for the frogs fine, but most often the dog/horse/pig milk tales are simply an attack on Reb Moshe's valid teshuva to save small town yiddin from violating or thinking they are violating the laws of kashrut and the psychological failure domino effect which follows.
Cows are the easiest animal to milk, especially with a machine. Goats are similar but with smaller milk volume the cleaning and hook-unhook effort returns smaller reward.
Sheep having breasts rather than easy to hook on udders are much more difficult to milk, horses dogs and pigs would all require hand milking at exorbitant prices, which forms the basis of Rabbi Moshe Feinstein's formulation, milk form a tumei animal has zero financial incentive and is so difficult to get in sufficient volume to get over a 1/60 ratio in a bulk tank or even a hand milkers bucket it would require a well off sponsor to finance a deliberate, difficult, and rare hate crime. I suspect cocaine or heroin, even an illegal firearm is easier to source than a single liter of pig or dog milk.
The cow and the goat appear to have been created with perfectly adapted midot for our time to let Jewish people get cheap protein in ch"l(not cheese though) while also limiting the ability of economically adding the milk of common tumei amimals which lack udders suited for an automated milker.
All to often I see ahavat yisrael thrown out for yacking about being (and wealth bragging by being) super frum. Frum is nice but is a personal thing, nobody else cares about your expensive tefillin, your machmir hecsharim, or your fancy etrog, be a mensch not a gossip or a ganif for Am Yisrael. Another big zechut is to not hoard your money acquired by your work or inherited but instead spread it around in a way that doesn't shame the recipient or leave them with a social debt to you, especially in Israel with only the most minimal and quite dangerous for families to access social safety net. Keep the halacha adom lMakom properly for yourself and have some tzenua about it.

Yes, in S. Louis Cholov Yisrael milk had to be shipped from the Laesch Dairy in Chicago. By the time shipping costs and refrigeration for shipping over 280 miles were taken into account, the cartons cost over $10 per half gallon. I don't know what it is right now. Maybe it has gone down in price. So Rav Moshe Feinstein's kula was much appreciated there. The OU in the States relies on this kula for kashrut for OU-Dairy nationwide.

In S. Louis there was a well known dairy company owned by a great family called Raskas Dairy for making cream cheese, sour cream, and Smetena. Because of reasons stated above, they relied on Rav Moshe's kula. In Eretz Yisrael, though, there are no shortage of Jews here who milk cows and own dairies. There is no necessity for Rav Moshe's kula here in Eretz Yisrael as there IS that necessity in medium sized Midwestern cities in the US. In Israel, one should at least try to only buy Cholov Yisrael made here, avoiding Cholov nachri. Cholov nachri is not necessary here. It just isn't.

But historically the US Dept of Agriculture could be relied on for enforcing honesty in the area of insuring 100% cow milk or 100% goat milk which is the basis of Rav Moshe's kula. I can't speak about France today. I don't know about Modern France for sure in their enforcement procedures in this area, but years 75 years ago, things were surely very different.

Yes, for I time I studied at an American yeshiva and when we learned about the sugiya of kosher milk they stated that European milk is not kosher since they mixed it with pigs milk. I immediately protested since to the best of knowledge this is not correct. Yes, back in pre-war Europe some smaller farmers did do so but today there is governmental control also in Europe like in the USA and as Rabbi Feinstein said when giving the the kula, the fines for breaking the law and mixing in strange milk into cow milk as so high that they prevent the dairies from doing so of fear of getting caught. This nowadays also apply to milk in Europe.

When I told a friend living in northern Europe, who was involved in the kashrus hashgacha in that country, he got furious about this statement. I forwarded his protest to the yeshiva and the retracted their statement.

Yes, CDG: If Cholov Yisrael milk is readily available and reasonably priced, it is best to seek it out. One should attempt to NOT rely on Rav Moshe's kula where equivalent Cholov Yisrael products are available. Part of the problem in America, though, is that a lot of Jewish and gentile kosher products producers for the national consumers do not have factories within 500 miles of a Cholov Yisrael source for milk. So almost all national hashgachot in the US like the OU and the OK and a bunch of others rely on Rav Moshe's kula. A candy bar plant in Arkansas cannot rely on getting Cholov Yisrael milk at a reasonable price. So when the OU or OK goes to that plant, of course, they will accept Cholov nachri ingredients in the plant. I think that the problem of small milk producers mixing with pig's milk or horse's milk MIGHT be a problem if the operation is very small with a couple of cows being milked by human hands, but most Dairies in the US are gigantic factories now with dozens of cows lined up with hi tech apparatuses attached to them. Those USDA approved dairies can be relied on for their honesty for the sake of this kula if necessary.

I am not saying I believe that; it's what I understood the site to be saying; it was very mahmir. The rabbi was from NY, so perhaps he didn't know about the situation of Jews elsewhere in the US. I would not go so far as to say he discounted them...I hope not. He seemed to be assuming that halav Yisrael products were much more available than in the past.

Unfortunately, I can't find it now.

Rabbi Eli Gersten, based on diyukim in Igros Moshe (ibid. teshuva 49 and YD 3:17), understood and convincingly demonstrated that Reb Moshe held that since Chazal were gozair only upon the final point of possession of milk prior to its transfer to a Yisroel, the lack of meaningful verification at dairy plants is immaterial; so long as government inspectors visit the dairies and see that nothing is being added to the milk (and see no non-kosher species on-site!), the milk is permitted.

My sense is that there will be contractions all the way for the nine months. They will get more intense of course further down the line, but as we see so far, so much has been and is being mitigated.....So far. We are still in the first month counting from either the 10th or the 17th of Tevet. So we have a long way to go. I wonder what will happen at the 40 day mark where the fetus has more sanctity than before that date? The 40 day mark is either the 20th of Shevat (since Tevet only had 29 days) or the 27th of Shevat.

Shabat shalom, my knowledge an insight of politics far outweighs my Torah knoweledge obviously, although I have a talent for understanding spiritual concepts I like to think. Anyway; the Arabian connection seems obvious concerning Trump's statement. It is not even such a bad statement. More of a tactical balanced open ending statement reminiscent of days gone by. Balanced in the eyes of an moderate Israeli that is, not of any Arab. Whatever moderate Israeli means that is (but you get the picture). Gulf Arabs and Israel agree to disagree for now, and ultimately time is not on their side, so what is the problem? Israel grows stronger with new inventions and more people every day! Some sort of status quo is not so bad!
All the Gog's have big ego's. Are competing to be top dog, or bear,or frog or whatever, are they not? Untill the games really begin, then will we see Trump's real colours. About the milk:
May I humble add that it is well known that people used to mess with milk. There is even a saying about that in Dutch. Nowadays, mad cow deseease aside, with all the cooperations and stakes in export and regulations it is much less so. Also no refrigerator back then, and trucks and machines. A whole different economical equitation back then also. What happened to the writing letter aleph that looks like cow's horns, and the land of milk and honey?

Maurice speaking : Interesting that you mention France as a milk country, and yes it is indeed.

About this, I knew a great hassid (who was, according to some relatives, a hidden Tsadiq), Mr Zalman Szlavinn zal.
Actually, he was the 1st who started to produce and sell Chamour Milk here in paris, France.
Before, there was no chamour milk here.
It was around 40 years ago, after he escaped the Shoa camp in Germany by hiding in the forest until the end of war.

Before the war, he was raised in Russia, and his father who was a great Rosh Yechiva were sent to Siberia by the communists because he refused to stop teaching the Torah, and he never came back.

Reb Dov, what is even more interesting related to your post, is that Mr Zalman who did bring Chamour milk in France, was a very close relative to Rav Azimov zal, who was the Loubavitcher Rebbe's shaliah' for France during something like maybe 40 years, and who did a great great job building schools, synagogues, etc etc... (they knew each other with Mr Zalman from Russia when they were kids, Mr Zalman told me when I was a kid).

Another interesting point : very few people know that this same Mr Zalman did himself pay the rent for a long time for the 1st Habad Synagogue to open in France (rue des Rosiers in Paris), even if he did really not have a lot of money...

If he did not start financing the 1st Habad Synagogue in France, probably the Habad movement would not have grown up so quickly (just check : nowadays one can find a Habad Synagogue almost everywhere in France).

He was a great hassid, I heard from a 100% kosher source that Mr Zalman did study with Rabbi Abouhatsera Baba Salé ztl here in Paris.

Reb Dov, I am sure you will be able to connect the dots

JPost: “The White House warned Israel on Thursday – in a surprising statement – to cease settlement announcements that are “unilateral” and “undermining” of President Donald Trump’s effort to forge Middle East peace, a senior administration official told The Jerusalem Post.

For the first time, the administration confirmed that Trump is committed to a comprehensive two-state solution to the Israeli- Palestinian conflict negotiated between the parties.” more …

My comments: Headline July 11, 2016 – “In About-face on U.S. Foreign Policy, GOP Platform to Drop Support for Two State Solution. ‘We reject the false notion that Israel is an occupier.'”

We have asked the question: Is Donald Trump a modern day Cyrus (Yeshayahu 45:1) or someone else?

In Blood Feud we wrote this: “January 19, 2017, President Donald Trump, a possible modern day Cyrus (Yeshayahu 45:1), repeats his promise to move the US embassy to Jerusalem.

On Monday, President Trump was quoted as saying that “it is too early to talk about moving the embassy to Jerusalem.”

If his statement today on settlements is correct, President Trump could be like all the rest, but this time the Arab world will take credit for having backed him down.

And that could be deadly.

He also pushed to the side all other Middle East questions.

Israel got a light tap on the wrist from another White House statement Friday, that its “new or expanded settlements in the West Bank may not be helpful in achieving Middle East peace,” although the US “has no official position on settlement activity.”
Jerusalem was given to understand that the Trump administration was too busy turning the screws on Iran to deal with “Middle East peace” and develop a settlement policy.

War is coming.

Because Iran's responses to Trump's threats is one of defiance and not one of reflection or one of quietly toning down their behavior and rhetoric, War is likely coming this year, that is the Big War between Edom and Persia. Expect Iran to attack Saudi Arabia inside their kingdom as this intensifies, along with intense confrontations in the shipping lanes of the Southern Red Sea, Strait of Mandeb, and in the Gulf of Aden. The King of Arabia and the New King of America have already had their consultation about Persia's encroachment on the Arabian Peninsula spoken of in the Yalkut Shimoni. Decisions to go forward have already been made. Trump is not seeking an arrangement with Iran for the sake of pacifying the situation. That is the key. He is not Obama when it came to Iran who never would have gone to war with the nation whose international acceptance he sought to normalize. Trump though cannot turn the clock back. The Obamanable One already did his massive damage. So as Trump seeks to put the genie back in the bottle that Obama let free, the Iranians will get bolder and more strident in their responses. That seems clear. Other than that, it is impossible to know a date when this or how this will explode.

Yet, with Trump what Californians thinks is about the 50th most important aspect of his criteria to go to war, 50th because they hate him in California and because the feelings are mutual. So Trump's criteria seem to revolve around the Amaleqites who lead the Shi'ite Persian monster. In the Sunni world, the Bnei Cham and Bnei Shem rule their countries, depending on the country. In Mitzraim it is Cham who leads, and in Saudi Arabia it is Shem who leads. In Iran, and in the rest of the Shi'ite world, it is Amaleq who leads. Trump seems to have a hunch which happens to be correct that the Persians are somehow worse than everyone else Muslim.

In Parshas Bo is the creation of our Jewish Lunar Calendar. It was a fascinating read, from the Commentary of "The Jewish Calendar" in the Stone Edition Chumash. Juxtaposing the Lunar against the Solar, in the counting of Lunar cycles I pondered whether just relying on the Lunar counting alone would bring us to what year?:

1) what year would be calculated now? Minus the 11 plus days each month since Yetzias Mitzrayim what year would we be in? Is this at all meaningful?

2) if we have to rectify the solar and lunar, is there a Remez from this (Zohar)?

3) does the relationship of the Moon to the Sun affect or relate to the End of Day phenomenon?

4) when the witnesses came to testify about how they saw the Moon in declaring the New Month, how was the eclipse viewed? From side to SIDE?

5) when I view the Moon looking south from my mirpeset the eclipse is from TOP to BOTTOM. What does this mean vis-a-vis the Earth’s position in the sky? Has earth tilted in its axis?

6) the Sun is now moving further eastward; i can tell from the how it shines on my wall. B”H springtime and the anemones are blooming : )

All comments welcome

Neshama: The Remez to rectify the lunar with the solar calendar is in The Written Torah . Pasach must always fall in the Spring, in Aviv when the standing barley is ripening on the stalks. That ripening only takes place according to the seasons determined by the solar calendar. Because of this we inter-calculate the cycles of the Moon with the cycles of the Sun. So if a 13th lunar month is to be added in a particular year, it is added the month before Pesach (Adar II).

The Islamic calendar never adds a 13th month. So it cycles back through the solar year once every 33 years. The cycles of judgement throughout the year wax and wane with the Moon. The overriding Rachmanut built into the Creation is attached to the coming of Spring after Judgement in the Fall. (This applies best in the Northern Hemisphere.) Islam is devoid of this aspect of Rachmanut. It is Din without the infusion of Chessed leading to cruelty. So it does not demarcate Spring as a season of renewal. It may have something to do with living in a desert too.

As far as their opponent, the Falcon in ancient Hebrew is called אַיָּה. It is one of the 30 non-kosher birds mentioned in VaYikra. It is a predator, and is the preferred predator of the Arab World. I think that the former King Fahd of Saudi Arabia wanted to be known as a Falcon. Ah as a matter of fact, the Falcon IS THE NATIONAL BIRD OF SAUDI ARABIA! Now given what is going on in Yemen on the Arabian Peninsula, this needs further investigation!

So while the American Patriots might win in a war with Persia, the Saudis will most assuredly lose.

Thanks for your elucidation on the result, it's fascinating.

Here I am keeping an eye on Football, (Soccer.)

As I wrote previously, the 2015 - 2016 English Premier League was won by Leicester Football Club.
An extraordinary feat, probably without comparison in American team sports.
A club with finances much smaller than the favourites, who were not remotely suggested as possible winners by anyone at all prior to the start of the season.
The bookmakers had them as 5000-1 against (lay one pound to win five thousand).

Right now, with a third of the 2016 - 2017 season left to play, the same Leicester are facing relegation from the top division. They are in freefall.
If they get relegated, the season after winning the league, it will be beyond anyone's wildest imagination.
It will not follow any natural pattern of performance level.

I enter very fringe territory here with a suggestion, but it occurred to me that a previous incarnation of Donald Trump (Esav) may have been King Henry VIII of England.

Forceful, prepared to tear up the rule book to get his own way, multiple wives, very direct, a gambler, ruddy faced and passionate hunter and sportsman when young.

Blogger Dov Bar-Leib said...

I just posted this on Shirat Devorah's blog:

It is the last of the trio of Shofar blasts from (3 pasukim for Nevua) in Musaph Rosh HaShanah.

1. The first pasuk:
(Yishayahu 18:3) All the inhabitants of the earth and dwellers on the land, You will see like the raising of a flag (the Israeli flag) in the mountains (of Judea), and like the blast of a Shofar you will hear.

This was the founding of the State of Israel in 5708. It is "like" the blast of a Shofar because the founding of the state was necessarily done by the Erev Rav in order to "trick" the nations and the Satan into thinking that religious Jews are NOT returning in order to fulfill Messianic prophesies where the nations of the world are ultimately held accountable for their sins and their crimes

13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great horn shall be blown; and they shall come that were lost in the land of Assyria, and they that were dispersed in the land of Egypt; and they shall worship the LORD in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.

Partially FULFILLED!: in 5750 and 5751 (1990 and 1991) as foretold by the Vilna Gaon that this would be the Great Shofar blast of Kibbutz Galyuot that would commence 3/4 of the way through the 6th Millennium as if they were three quarters of the way through the 6th day of the week. At High Noon on Yom Shishi, Shofar blowers would ascend the mountains of Israel to blow the shofar to call Israel in from her fields to prepare for Shabbat. So it would be the case 3/4 of the way through the 6th millennium.

The prostrating before G-d on His Holy Mountain has not yet occurred.....yet, but the ingathering surely picked up speed in those two fateful years with Russian (lost ones from Assyria) and Ethiopian Jews (the castaways from Egypt) arriving during the First Persian Gulf War as scuds were flying.

The third blast is directly from the "lips" of G-d Himself, HaShem Elokim in all of His Glory. He is hovering over us watching us in our sorrow as the Erev Rav seems to have its way with us as we are unable to redeem ourselves from their grip, and in order to ensure that the Final War between Edom and Persia is NOT centered in ERetz Yisrael, He sends an arrow to Yemen to the place where that War will commence.

That interview alone probably has scared the bejeebers out of the Persians. But the missile against Riyadh from the Houthis in Yemen may have already been launched when this interview occurred!

On the issue of Russia, Trump draws a moral equivalence between the US and Putin's Russia in their various war efforts. On that he won't give an inch either. I am not sure what Trump was comparing the mass civilian slaughter and depopulation of Aleppo to. Was he drawing a moral equivalence between the depopulation of Aleppo to the bombing of Dresden during WW2? To Hiroshima and Nagasaki?? I am not sure. I would not draw that equivalence. Blogger Devorah said...

re Venus going dark on Jan 11 2014, what do you say about Venus being extremely bright now?

2/07/2017 12:23 AM
Blogger Dov Bar-Leib said...

It depends on where Noga (Venus) is in its revolution around the sun with respect to the earth. The inferior conjunction places it between the earth and the sun every 583.92 earth days even though its own revolution around the Sun is once every 224.7 earth days. This means that it revolves around the Sun over two times every one year and 219 days. (These would be earth years and days.) So as the earth goes around the sun roughly 1 and 2/3rds times, Venus goes around the sun 2 and 2/3rds times during the same time span. During this time when Venus is closer to the earth in its respective orbit and based on the angle of reflection, it would likely reflect more light to earth than it would reflect if it were on the opposite side of the Sun! So as Venus approached inferior conjunction, it first gets brighter and brighter as it reflects more and more light because it is closer. Yet, as Venus' face becomes more turned toward the Sun, it slowly gets darker and darker until the moment if inferior conjunction. This would then repeat itself in reverse order after it passes between the earth and the Sun every 584 of our days (approx. 1 2/3rds years). So every approx. 6 1/2 years there are five inferior conjunctions when Venus passes between the earth and the Sun. That is slightly less than once per year.

Inferior Conjunction Chart since 1884ce
Notice the next inferior conjunction is on this coming March 25th explaining the relative brightness of Venus as it reflects more light because it is comparatively very close to earth before it begins to pass between the earth and the Sun. Also notice that sometimes Venus does not just go dark, but that it passes directly between the earth and the Sun. This is called a Transit which happened last as everyone might remember in June of 2012, exactly one synodic period between it and the following inferior conjunction when Sharon died. A synodic period is the "relative" period of revolutions between two objects and the Sun OTHER than just the absolute Orbital period between one object and the Sun, in this case the synodic period between the earth and Venus in relation to the Sun.

It is most assuredly a major escalation that Trump is being consulted about by the Saudi Royal family with their falcons in tow. Jews abroad are exposed and are not protected, do not say ' it won't happen to me ', it is written on your forehead that you are Jews. The goyims are destroying their businesses, houses and cars, hitting and are hurting them. Anti-Semitism is rising, rising and rising every day. They want to hurt Jews abroad-run away! What Once Was, Will Occur Again

...From the first time that Moshe came before Paro to speak up for the Jews, he emphasized over and over one word “shlach” – send. You paro will send us out of Egypt. You will come to me on your knees and publicly acknowledge that your gods are irrelevant, and beg the Jewish people to leave. What was, will occur again.

Even when the Jewish nation will fulfill our historic destiny by returning to Eretz Yisrael and to HaShem in tshuva (repentance), the great saga of this world will not have been fulfilled. Like Paro who fell on his knees in total submission to HaShem, declaring the irrelevance of his gods and the falsehoods of his religious system; so too will the nations of the world, in our time, stand as one man and declare as in the words of the prophet Yirmiyahu (chap. 16,19-21)...

Abbas: Palestinians plan to challenge Regulation Law in international court

JOL: Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas held a press conference this evening (Tuesday) in France alongside French President Francois Hollande. During the press conference, he harshly criticized the Regulation Law, which was passed last night by the Knesset.

Abbas claimed that “the new law creates an apartheid state.” In addition, he called for the international community to condemn the law. Hollande claimed that the law paves the way for Israel’s annexation of the West Bank. more …

My comments: Abbas latched on to John Kerry’s infamous speech on December 28: “Israel cannot be a Jewish state and a Democratic state at the same time”

Of course that is exactly what Israel has been and will continue to be, but it gave the Edomite Abbas all the ammunition he needs to get world’s sympathy.

Abbas has the distinction of being the only unelected president of a non-people in the world, which, since it involves hatred of Israel, makes him very popular with secular progressive world leaders.

Abbas has another distinction of having been deputy to the only terrorist who was second to Adolf Hitler in killing of Jews, and yet, he has convinced Biblically ignorant world leaders that he is a moderate.

Hollande brought shame and judgment on his nation _ Tzarfat.

Midah keneged midah!

The King and Creator of the world, HKB"H, is returning to the Germans measure for measure.

The Germans together with their collaborators (the Arians) murdered six million Jews during the WW2. Now Germany is getting replenished with the influx of six million Muslims who will devour their country. H' Ho Ish Milchama, H' Shemo.

Gatestone Institute: Critics of Germany’s open-door immigration policy are warning that the recent surge in Germany’s Muslim population — which surpassed six million in 2016 for the first time — has already changed the face of the country forever:

The price for reversing Germany’s demographic decline appears to be the further Islamization of Germany under the guise of multiculturalism.
With a fertility rate of 1.6 births per woman, well below the replacement rate of 2.1, Germany will require a permanent influx of 300,000 migrants per year in order keep the current population level stable through the year 2060, according to the report.

My comments:Over the past 30 years there have been over 8.5 million abortions in Germany. Even with the low birth rate (1.6) per woman, those earlier aborted children would be in the work force, having more babies, and the influx of immigrants would be unnecessary.

The effects of abortion are not mentioned in the Gatestone report. Unintended consequences, however, are:

Immigrants committed 208,344 crimes in 2015, an 80% increase over 2014
Mass migration from the Muslim world will lead to increasing political instability
Integration of hundreds of thousands of immigrants will be impossible given the large numbers involved and the already-existing Muslim parallel societies in Germany

More than a decade ago historian Bernard Lewis warned that if current migration trends continue, Europe will be Islamic by the end of the 21st century.

Mess with God’s plan and suffer the consequences.

HaShem has provided them with a 70 to 80-year window of opportunity to return home. So, from now on, what happens to the Jews of the galut is totally their own responsibility. Trump also said in his Israel HaYom interview: “There is limited land left, and every time you take land for settlements, there’s less land left. I’m not someone who believes that advancing the settlements is good for peace. But we’re checking all the possibilities.”

I think Trump respects Israel's strengths. Trump's Esav mentality sees a strong Israeli military and intelligence sector, strong technology sector, strong horticultural sector, and ties them into his Esavian world view of physical power and strength. Also I think that Bibi was a friend of Trump's father, and somewhere deep in the Esav mentality is a desire to honour one's father so Trump lends Bibi his ear.

I wrote an earlier comment which did not get posted, but in it I wrote that I am reminded of Henry VIII of England when I see Trump. Ruddy complexion, tearing up the rulebook to get his own way, many wives, strong pursuit of his enemies etc.

Shavua tov. This blog has never taken the position that Trump IS the Esavian Mashiach even though I have presented evidence on this blog that if he is penitent, the groundwork for him to become that Esavian Mashiach has already been laid out for him. So yes, the book on that matter is still open.

Yet, Just to set the record straight, Trump's position on "settlements" has now been repeated from several different sources within his administration several times on separate occasions. And the repetition is fairly identical each time.

Statement: While we don’t believe the existence of settlements is an impediment to peace, the construction of new settlements or the expansion of existing settlements beyond their current borders may not be helpful in achieving that goal. That is the statement that has been repeated several times.

So for purpose of discussion, his administration views the establishment of new settlements on new land which is not already a part of land on an existing settlement to be problematic to future peace talks (whatever future peace talks mean) and the expansion of existing settlements beyond their present borders also onto "disputed land" to be problematic in the same way. From his pt. of view (not from ours of course), converting "disputed land" in Yesha into land for new Jewish homes will not contribute to the piece process for which he himself has not determined a way forward. These statements exclude any discussion about building within the bounds of existing settlements on land already owned by those settlements OR about building in Yerushalayim beyond the Green Line. From what seems to be shaping up, his Administration distinguishes between building on land already owned by yishuvim as not being a problem for new development and land that has not yet been purchased for development by yishuvim. It is building on new land that was until now not owned by yishuvim that in his American mind should not be aggressively pursued. Now, of course this is not ideal. This is not yet a Messianic policy statement precisely because we have not yet begun that Era. Is it better than what it was like for the last 8 years? Of course it is better, but of course it is not yet perfect. We are still in Galut. We have not yet reached that UFaratzta moment. continued...

2/11/2017 8:11 PM
Blogger Dov Bar-Leib said...

Reading between the lines, a lot of these new statements about expanding settlements onto new territory not owned by these settlements are likely being written by Rex Tillerson as a result of his consultations with the King of Jordan and with Saudi King Salman over their alliance to halt the spread of Iran onto the Arabian Peninsula and in Syria. No one should be surprised that the Arabs would make this one of their conditions in establishing this alliance with the new President. And from his perspective stopping Persia in its tracks is an overriding foreign policy objective, more important that moving the American Embassy to Yerushalayim.

Going forward, the way this will ultimately be resolved will be when the hot war between Persia and the US along with its Sunni allies finally explodes beyond anyone's ability to control the course of these nine months. I remember one of the erstwhile supporters of this blog Moshe Yess zt"l from several years ago when on several occasions he reminded us that in Rav Yonasan Eibeshutz's sefer Ya'aros Dvash we find the following:

Rabbi Yonasan Eibshetz, ztvk"l, (1690-1764) states in his sefer (Sacred Book) : Yaaros Dvash:

At certain moment the time will come when Moshiach (Judaism's King Messiah) should have already arrived but the Redemption has not yet come. The Moshiach will ask how it could be that the time for Redemption has arrived and he still undergoes sufferings? The response that he will receive is that he must wait for nine months. Why? In order to wait for the fall of Persia (Iran) at the hands of Edom (the Christian West), and then the final redemption will come.

In short everything is a process, and the last nine months of that process seem to have already commenced b'itah even though in a more pleasant less severe way than some of us expected.

To understand the reason why the War between Edom and Persia is the key with the Sunni Muslims on the side of the leading king of Edom, one has to look at our world situation outside of the box, from the eyes of HaShem if such a thing were possible. There are 2 billion Xtians on the surface of planet earth and anywhere between 1.6 to 1.8 billion Muslims. There are only at maximum about 12 or 13 million Jews in the world of whom maybe one fifth are anywhere between somewhat or totally committed to Judaism as our world changing covenant with G-d. The only way to neutralize the forces of Edom and Yishmael in the world is to set up an end of days conflict where they have to go to war with each other. Together with each other, their main focus is the destruction of Israel or in their minds, the division of the Land of Israel. Their focal point of change is the United Nations to accomplish this. So the cure for this is a divinely orchestrated war between each other is necessary for their plans for Israel to be destroyed forever.

So once this war is under way, the Final Redemption can begin in earnest as we are freed from their cumbersome and oppressive rule while they fight each other. Until then Olam HaZeh limps onwards.

Bibi in favor of "Two State for two people solution"

While few of us are in favor of this lie, nevertheless it may be a clever idea. I think we all realize that Abbas, Hamas and there bullies have no wish to have a final peace agreement. All they want is the establishment of a State from which they will continue their attacks. Peace, end of conflict, is not in their plan.

By playing the Two State solution Bibi is linking it to the idea that the Arabs will not be forthcoming on ending the state of war. He is trying to say that we are willing to make concessions for peace, but the Arabs will not truly agree to peace no matter what concessions we give. So demanding a Two State solution has to be understood to be a waste of time. The only solution is a One State with civil autonomy for the Arabs living in Yehuda and Shomron.

Thus the development of Jewish communities, especially if Arabs are building in area C, is not a problem since the entire area will eventually have to be part of Israel. And, the sooner that happens the sooner the Arabs will have to face reality.

One of the reasons for California being the bluest of Blue States is that it is truly Golden like at -50 Golden, the Golden Gate or the 50th Gate to Impurity. They also don't really know who votes in elections in their state since California does not require you to show a voter id when you go and vote. When speaking of "an end of conflict" it must include the end of the Arab demand that the "refugees" be rehabilitated in Israel. A demand that these people must be allowed to return to their alleged homes within the final borders of Israel turns any agreement into a democratic joke. Such an inflow will easily wipe out a Jewish majority. Maybe Israel can offer some help, but even that should be adjusted to what they allegedly lost in 1947-8, not it's current value. Also a similar calculation must be made for Jewish losses when they were thrown out of their homes and businesses, based on there value at THAT time. (I predict the total losses for Jewish refugees will be greater than Arab losses.)

Also the agreement must include Jewish access to all Jewish holy sites based on reasonable historical evidence, not based on Arab or UN claims.

I predict Abbas et al will never put their name to any of those obligations. Instead they will claim the US can't be trusted. And, they will increase their demands to internationalize the conflict. They want to get the world to force a phased plan to destroy Israel. They want nonArabs to offer Israel guarantees of security, since they know such guarantees are worthless.

As I recall it was Abbas that originally developed the Phased Plan to destroy Israel. If so, way should Traump expect anything else.

Only to be voted down in Higher Chamber (lords) later. Apparently it was only because of his love for animals, and better slaughtering ways are bettter, wright? He is not according to the taste of most Dutch Jews. Don't pay to much attention to the guy Wilders.

Says R' Nir ben Artzi on this week's parsha

Trump is smart, intelligent and witty. He doesn't give up to anyone, not even to Iran.

He knows exactly what he wants and will take care of everything twisted and distorted.

He will succeed in all lawfully with truth and righteousness. Trump is a strong man and he will succeed, he has help from Heaven and he is working quietly.

The President of the US Trump is requesting from the Government of Israel to work quietly and without talking. When they talks it causes problems and interferences and things go wrong.

The Messiah son of David, is working, acting and protecting the land of Israel.

Over sixty percent of all is known.

In Israel and in the entire world people are aware that there is salvation and the Messiah. In the red sea they finally found parts of chariots of Pharaoh and it strengthens the people of Israel and the salvation.

The Messiah cares and protects all the people of Israel, doing wonders and miracles that the Holy One in Heaven transfers, through him, the Messiah-man of God.

The Mothers are waiting, the Messiah from above is connected to the Messiah from below, the Messiah came into awareness of the public and must be revealed in public step by step. Every day is another step, until he will be revealed in public at 100%.

Not much longer, in a short time!

Neshama: Trump did make it clear that he has no intent on shoving Two State garbage down our throats. Who knows what other solutions or potential deals might come up. I am sure the Lieberman plan might be considered where the enemy has its semi-autonomous zones in Yesha and in the Arab Triangle, and we will go on with our business where we live. And I am sure that while settlement construction will resume in earnest within the blue line of all yishuvim, no new yishuvim will be established, and no Yishuv will expand beyond its already established blue line. But you are right, G-d has this under control.

Sweden to appoint Middle East peace envoy
Thursday, February 16, 2017

Sweden announced on Wednesday it would appoint a special envoy to the Israel-Palestinian Authority (PA) peace process, The Local news website reported.

The announcement was made by Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom during the presentation of her foreign policy vision in parliament.

One of the key points of that vision is that the government will appoint a diplomat to work full-time on the Israel-PA conflict.

Of course, correct.
What I was alerted to was the overwhelming kindness that seemed to render Netanyahu weak in the knees. Much of what he said, he has said already. I guess he deemed it “safe” wording. What was impressive was the reception by Trump to the Netanyahus, the meeting in front of the WH with photo-taking and all. Quite the opposite from his anti-semitic non-reception protocol from “O” years back.

The overwhelming “love” that Netanyahu felt will puff up his ego and that is what I deem dangerous. He might ALMOST agree to anything Trump suggests (being personal and not political), which might really not be in the best interests of Eretz Yisrael. I wouldn’t be surprised if we find out that Netanyahu cajoled Trump into running for President, considering his long history of knowing Trump and the Kushners.

What I believe Trump is aiming at is Regional Cooperation involving Israel and other Arab Nations/countries in his quest of destroying ISIL and Iran and the "Palestinian Problem”. (no longer the EU UN Jewish Problem) i.e., solving the ME situation.

We are living today in a repeat period of the times of Haggai when the Jews were fearful and reluctant to take advantage of the historical moment to assert their rights in the holy land and in Yerushalayim.

Fifty years ago, HaShem presented to His people on a gold platter of miracles the western side of the Jordan river (the eastern side will come later). During these fifty years, we have witnessed Israeli fear and hesitancy to officially annex our God-given Biblical lands to the Medina. The fear of upsetting the delicate balance between the Medina and the gentile nations has paralyzed our Jewish instincts to such an extent that even closing a porch in Ma’aleh Adumin can bring the owner arrest and jail time.

To our great chagrin and misfortune, we don’t have leaders on the level of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel or Joshua son of Jozadak. So, the Temple Mount is desecrated and the lands of Yehuda and Shomron are viewed by our courts as occupied territories and we have become the laughing stock of Jewish history.

But that might be a good thing since we learn from the our sages that the Divine Presence rests today with very sick people and with crazy people. So for Trump, it is good news that G-d is very close to him right now. Better to choose a Crazy man than a wicked man because a Crazy man is much closer to G-d!

Trump is crazy, but he is not evil. He is bona fide nuts though. Of that I am convinced. Therefore, he is G-d's tool to go to war against Persia b'itah Achishena. (In its time, I will hasten it.)
So with a non crazy person, the dispute with Persia would drag on for years with cautious build up on America's part before confrontation. Yet, with Trump we are talking weeks or months.

His response to the Torah observant Jew, Jake (Jacob) Turx has in part convinced me that Trump is crazy. Turx's question was not about any accusation against Trump of being an anti-Semite. Turx's question was not a charge of White House anti-Semitism or personal animus that Trump might have against Jews (which is patently ridiculous as the crazy President answered.)

But the original question from Jake Turx went totally unanswered. "Mr. President, what about those 48 bomb threats against synagogues and JCCs all over the US? What can be done to prevent those places from actually being bombed? What can be done to find the perpetrators of those threats?" This would have been a seminal moment for Trump to set down enforcement provisions of existing federal law in the area where he is charged to protect citizens as the head of the Executive branch of Government. Instead he honed in on previous accusations of anti-Semitism that had nothing to do with the question, leaving the original question totally abandoned!! I am sorry. This is insanity. Now what happens if there is an actual blast? Do we revisit the fact that the federal govt. was totally unprepared for an act of domestic terror because the President was answering a totally unrelated accusation that he was accused of?? In many ways, this is a frightening development, but there is even deeper Divine Providence at work here. to be discussed tomorrow.

In my mind ducking akward questions in public about Jew hatred is not so crazy. What was he to say? Was he to acknowledge the severeness of the situation? Thereby destroying the illussion of the friendly America for good, and putting fear in the hearts of Jewish kids and joy in the hearts of the haters? Why make them look so important? Maybe he had to acknowledge it, but he did that indirectly, between the lines. By saying that he is gonna show love. So he reassured the Jewish parents that he will be there for them. The guy who asked the question made me feel that he blamed Trump for the rise of it. "what do you say about the rise,...since you was in power...?" So in that respect the answer wasn't so strange also. Hey, don't blame me, Trump said. "Go blame the media for bad Israel coverage, go blame your local pastor" i would have said. But that is a much bigger story. Okay, he could have said that these people are crazy, because Jews are hard working people who belong here, and they did nothing wrong. And he is going to take action. But i think he will take action. If you all need to do Aliyah than the settlement issue is a much bigger issue though. And he is cooperating in that, so? And that is were Jews ultimatley belong, so? That was also the love answer and first things first, let them enemies quessing answer. When did anyone ever ask Obama these questions? And if it were his voters than they were very unlucky (lol) in doing so. And if that is only a minority than perhaps not paying too much attention to them, and move on with the broader policies is more wise (?) Local law enforcement should be able to deal with it, isn't that right? Even in my country some people with Jewish looks and image, who get their windows thrown in, don't get appropiate response by the police, when this pogrom happened and they shouted: "Jew Jew" The neighbours called the police, but the Justice department said there was lack of evindence. So far for the Noahide trust in the court system. But i seem to contradict my earlier stance on this, that you should not make too much free advertisment of hatred, and scare Jewish foolks about the seriousness of the situation. Or one should try to do so in between the lines, and take other action in secret. Whatever that might be.

‘We can’t build without coordinating with the U.S.’

Arutz Sheva: Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman on Friday warned against annexation of Judea and Samaria or accelerated construction in the region without coordinating with the United States.

“We cannot move forward without understandings with the United States, both regarding construction and application of sovereignty, so I suggest that everyone calm down,” Liberman said in an interview on Channel 2 News. more …

My comments: Sometimes a headline just jumps off the page:

Israel cannot move forward building homes for its citizens without the approval of the United States. It is interesting that the arrival of a US president who is supportive of Israel remaining a Jewish state, now has more control than the last president who was not.

The time of Gentile domination over Jerusalem began in 586 BC when the armies of King Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Solomon’s Temple and marched the Jews to Babylon for 70 years of captivity.

From the headline, Israel is not yet in control of even building houses for its citizens in its own capital and surrounding land. There is no other nation on earth under such domination.

After the 1967 war, the Israeli army under Moshe Dayan took control of Jerusalem. How interesting that if the secular Dayan had not turned the Temple Mount over to the Muslin Mufti, the times of the Gentiles would have ended.

It was not the right time in 1967 – and it is still not.

Hence, we are still waiting for the right time, for the time when it will be said:

” … So said the Lord of Hosts: In those days, when ten men of all the languages of the nations shall take hold of the skirt of a Jewish man, saying, "Let us go with you, for we have heard that G'd is with you."” Zechariah 8:23

I just wanted to share that everything that is going on is effecting me on a very deep level and I am contemplating my beliefs and values in a very deep way. As one who came to Torah and mitzvos in my 20's, I have been shedding false beliefs and values for many years. What is happening now has taken that to a new level. The polarization between alt-left and alt-right is there to GIVE CLARITY and this is why I find it so exciting because Hashem is doing it with such rachamim and giving everyone a chance to express their free will and chose a side. I think he is making it as clear as possible before the ride gets even rougher.

From the Upper West Side of Manhattan to Stockholm Ami Horowitz shows us all how to REALLY be an investigative journalist. In addition, in this documentary he shows how Sweden might be able to stake a claim on being both the most insane and evil society in all of history in combination with each other. There have been other places more evil, but they did not impose their evil on themselves as the Swedes are doing. The Swedes are not just evil, but they are insane about imposing unrestrained compassionate Socialism on themselves to the point of securing their own self-destruction within a generation.

In addition to this, Ami needs to bench Gomel. He needs to thank G-d for still being alive.

He's been a friend of the Jewish people and has many friends who are Jews. I don't think he's crazy at all. And now we see that when the President becomes unhinged about imminent anti-Semitic threats and actual attacks there are consequences. President Trump could have calmed the waters at the Press Conference by answering Jake Turx's question directly and forcefully, that is the question about 48 bomb threats since his inauguration and an uptick in other anti-Semitic attacks. By not calming the waters, the foxes see that the chicken coups (Jccs, synagogues, and yes, Jewish cemeteries) are unguarded. At least the Chief Exec. of the Federal Govt. at that time did not come out and say that the Feds are on the case. So the foxes were busy over the last several days:

So on Monday and Tuesday alone there were 12 more bomb threats on JCCs and synagogues nationwide. And lo and behold, 200 headstones were toppled and/or vandalized at Chessed Shel Emeth Cemetery in University City (S. Louis County), Missouri. One of those headstones MAY be for my grandparent's Grave (my father's parents' grave) We are looking into this matter. I notice the row at the cemetery from the S Louis Post Dispatch article, and it does NOT look good. This happened over the weekend.

It is vital that a President of the US remain in control of his intense emotions and to not become unhinged. THESE are the type of rampages that get the Green Light from haters when the public, some of whom are anti-Semites, see the President unfairly, and inappropriately, scolding an Orthodox Jew on television or on Youtube after that Jew told him that his question is NOT another unfair accusation accusing the President of anti-Semitism. By the way, you can't shut up about this stuff because you are afraid of what the President might do. What would have happened if it were not a Jewish cemetery in Missouri, but a JCC that was bombed because of the unintentional telegraphing of shared rage with the evildoer? When you explode at a Press Conference unfairly, you are worshiping the same idol that the anti-Semites are worshiping even if you aren't an anti-Semite. And I don't believe that Trump is an anti-Semite. And I realize that today when calmer heads (Jared and Ivanka's heads) prevailed, the President DID decry precisely what happened in S Louis and at those 12 JCCs nationwide. So thank G-d for that, but how do we prevent this from happening again if the President has another fit of rage?? Answer: Stop the fits of rage! And if that can't be done, then Jews in America are in danger PRECISELY from what just happened.

His fits of rage are exactly what will bring us to Iran/war - perhaps as close as Purim. He misunderstood the question, that's how I see it. His rage is one of the reasons Hashem put him there.
