A Shot Across the Bow

This is a short post, but is needed to continue the subject matter of the previous post.  This week's parsha means "We are standing here today."  Every time this parsha comes up every year, we know within one week we will be passing before HaShem to be judged for the coming year like sheep passing underneath a shepherd's staff.  It is that time of year again.  This Shabbat begins Creation Week with the First Day of Creation on the 25th of Elul.  It is also Syrian War week, no matter what a "Shot Across the Bow" might really mean.  You decide for yourself.  http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50153906n .

From me to you.  LeShana Tovah ve Metukah.  Watch out for rapid change after this retaliation for chemical weapons use begins if Russia, China, or Iran interprets this "shot across the bow" in a way that brings back a sharp response for the disparate reasons for why they support Assad.  I am sorry, for the shortness of this post.  busy preparing for Rosh HaShanah and Armageddon at the same time.

I should quickly point out that I changed the second person in the first verse of the parsha to the first person to include all of us, you and me, in what is happening now.

I look at the polls for the Knesset and I am stunned. So few have learned so few lessons in the last ten years. It is time for a forced change in the circumstances from above. It is now over 12 years since the Hebrew date of 9/11. For those anticipating Geulah expect miracles.

In the UK tonight, the Prime Minister's plan for the UK to conduct military strikes in Syria was defeated in the House of Commons.

He has said that he must take notice of this vote, and so it looks as if the UK will not take part in missile strikes, for now at least.

The MPs who voted against action believe that the UK was mislead by doctored intelligence over the second Iraq war, which has cost many British lives. They want to be more isolationist.

It is a significant political defeat, according to The Daily Telegraph newspaper it has not happened that the opposition has rejected government plans to deploy UK forces since Suez in 1956.

Israel and the hypocritical nations of the world.

Said by Rabbi Nir ben Artzi:

Every country and land in the world that will have malicious programs against Am Yisrael, defraud or harm Am Yisrael, in these countries there will be rebellion and leaders of the people will have difficulties with their people.

Earthquakes will continue stronger, floods will continue stronger, volcanic explosions will continue, fire and brimstone will continue, storms and severe winds will continue and intensify, trains will collide and fly off the tracks, planes will fall apart in the air and have problems, ships will collide and will have a lot of problems, natural disasters be exacerbated by the day, complications and conflicts in all countries, especially in lands and countries that are against Israel. There will not be quiet or calm until they will crown the King Mashiach!

There will be terrible occurrences in the world: awful accidents with cars, planes and ships. Any nation, land or person that will speak harshly about Am Yisrael, things that will cause hatred or ill will against Israel – will receive harsh punishment and hits on the cheek so hard they will not be able to show their faces!

Pay attention to how beautiful are the paths of Elokim! The Creator goes from nation to nation, from country to country, here He makes floods and fires, there He makes harsh winds and volcanoes, here an earthquake and conflicts, there a toppling economy. The Holy One shocks all the nations and leaves none unaffected. Here there are gangs whose members kill each other, and there you find nations who war against each other.

To believe that the leaders of Great Britain are from the Tribe of Ephraim and that the leaders of the USA are from Menashe is NOT a moral crime. I think that this is standard fare for Mormons and the Worldwide Church of G-d. And there is Truth to the fact that the northern Tribes who were "lost in the Land of Ashur" migrated north into the Caucusus Mts. From a Jewish perspective there was a Turkish tribe that inhabited the land between the Black and Caspian Seas in ancient times called the Khazars. Therefore from our perspective the bulk of Ephraim and Menashe were absorbed by the Khazars. When the Kingdom of Khazaria was established in the 8th Century ce., the king of the Khazars converted the entire royal household to Judaism, and many in the general public followed his lead. So about 1500 years after being "lost in the Land of Ashur", a large percentage of Ephraim and Menashe converted back to Judaism. Yet, I would not expect Glenn Beck or the founders of the Mormon Church to know this.

There are too many conflicting accusations swirling around. I believe the real reason is yet to be exposed. Israel had better stay far away from this entanglement. This is a strange speech by Obama. He definitely wants to attack even if it is on orders from Saudi Arabia. Yet, he is only required by the US Constitution to ask for a Declaration of War from Congress. And Congress itself has passed the War Powers Act which allows him to engage in a "police action" or some type of military maneuver for up to 60 days without asking for permission from Congress. He overreached his constitutional power to commit American troops for way over 60 days when he overthrew Khaddafy in an operation that took much longer than 60 days. He based his authority to do that on the UN Security Council, not on the US Constitution. So he uses the Constitution for his own purposes when he sees fit. In this case he is trying to give moral force to a military action which only has the support of about 9% of the American people at this time even if it is only a 3 day operation.

By the way, this allows for Hezbollah and Syria to readjust their military positions in the interim time period. If Israel would need to act pre-emptively during this period of time to defend itself, it CANNOT do so. So for the next two weeks we depend solely on Teshuvah, Tefillah, and Tzedakah for our own protection.

My big problem with Britsh Israelism is multi-fold. The biggest problem for instance is that even if a Royal Family can trace its patrilinear ancestry to the Tribe of Ephraim, matrilinearly they are not of the People of Israel. Our peoplehood is matrilinear even if the tribal identity is of course patrilinear. This was especially the case with the last emperor of Ethiopia, Haile Selassie. Without question he was a descendant of King Solomon, but since the 1st Century ce. his yichus is almost 100% patrilinear.

Daniel,
Don't get too caught up in family descent, most of us are not Cohanim(priestly line of Aaraon) or even Levin(from the house of Levi) just Jews and we do the work that G-d assigned to us. Also you as a creation of the Omnipresent are called as every human, animal, plant and even inanimate object to be his servant and sing his praises. Perhaps you are biologically of the seed of Israel though not Jewish/Israelite that is a special gift if true but even if not it in no way creates a barrier between you and your Maker. If you feel in your heart that the way that Jews keep the laws of the Torah is how you will praise your Maker then there is halachic conversion where you become a ger tzedek Jew(a convert, literally a holy strager) one that the Holy One holds as dear as the Cohen Gadol. If not then you can praise G-d's name over a meal of cheeseburgers and porkchops to fuel your body in living your life according to G-d's will in a just and honest way just as G-d praised the righteous gentile Job.

America has no plans to truly intervene in Syria – and Israel should learn from that, attorney and current affairs analyst Yoram Sheftel warned in an interview with Arutz Sheva.

“Even if they attack, it will just be for the protocol. It won’t be a real assault,” he said.

“Obama has already proven that he doesn’t really respond. The Syrians already used [chemical] gas a few months ago, the ‘red line’ was crossed, and there was no response,” he continued.

Israel must realize that it cannot rely on America’s promises when it comes to security, Sheftel warned.

“They aren’t trustworthy,” he declared. “Even when [America] does take action, it’s too late, it’s only after a real catastrophe has occurred.”

“The state of Israel needs to remember that well. If there’s a plan to rely on defense-related guarantees in the future, we need to come to our senses immediately,” he said.

U.S. officials initially appeared anxious to immediately intervene in Syria in the wake of a major chemical weapons attack near Damascus. However, following pressure from the UN and Britain’s decision to postpone a decision to intervene, Obama announced over the weekend that he plans to wait for approval from Congress.

Sheftel has previously accused Obama of anti-Semitism and of cynical manipulation of Jewish voters over the Obama administration’s statements about Jonathan Pollard

As Israeli leaders continue to react to American prevarication on Syria, one former IDF commander has summed up the general mood.

"We have no one to rely upon except for God and our veteran troops," said former IDF General Uzi Dayan, attacking US President Barack Obama’s decision to postpone action on Syria until an official approval from Congress.

Dayan’s comments were featured on his Facebook page on Sunday, opening with a statement saying that the Israeli government should “continue with its sensible policies” of refraining from a Syrian intervention unless the conflict were to spill in Israel’s direction.

Regarding Israel's relationship with the United States, Dayan pointed out that Israel should “strengthen the unity of values, strategic coordination, and mutual respect for one another, and to not divide the American and Zionist common mission.”

Yet Dayan echoed many other Israeli politicians' concerns that Iran is closely lurking and waiting for any signs of weakness in Israeli and American.

Summing up, Dayan asserted that Israel can only rely on itself for security.

“The strategic conclusion is not surprising, that is: ‘if I am not for myself, who will be for me’?" he said, paraphrasing the well-known Jewish proverb.

“And to my fellow brothers in Israel [I say]: return the gas masks to storage, regain our senses, and rebuild our society and our country. Let us prepare for the upcoming Rosh Hashanah [Jewish New Year] which should be a blessed one upon us.”

Obama’s climb-down on Syria attack spells “military nightmare” for allies Israel, Turkey, Jordan
DEBKAfile Special Report September 1, 2013, 11:48 AM (IDT)

US President Barack Obama’s about-turn Saturday night, Aug. 31 on the planned US military operation against Syria’s chemical weapons has shaken up the volatile Middle East balance of strength, spelling for Israel, Jordan and Turkey what Western and Israeli military sources called the day after “a military nightmare.”
Syria, Iran and Hizballah are let off the hook by the lifting of the imminent US military threat against Bashar Assad over his use of chemical weapons on Aug. 21. Not only that, but the threesome have won an unforeseen tactical advantage: President Obama’s turn to Congress to authorize that attack gives them at least a fortnight for launching a pre-emptive strike against US forces and its allies.
Syria and Hizballah’s defenses are already upgraded against the projected US strike and their forces on peak readiness. Rather than hanging around and waiting for the US Congress to go through with a debate, which only starts in the week of Sept. 9, they are fully capable of forcing the pace on their own terms, with the object of getting the US operation cancelled altogether.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, for his part, will not waste the opportunity for pursuing further advanced weapons transactions with Iran and Syria.

A high-ranking Israeli office commented Sunday that the three hostile allies, having achieving an indefinite postponement of the American military threat with Moscow’s help, can be expected to press their advantage with further diplomatic and military mischief. Trouble looms for Israel, Jordan and Turkey if Russian and Iranian intelligence experts estimate that an aggressive move will strengthen the hands of the US lawmakers opposed to US military intervention in Syria.

Syria's allies may deduce that high war flames in the Middle East will stoke the anti-military congressional faction’s pressure on the administration to keep American out of the region. They will argue that even the very limited action proposed by Obama would be enough to drag America deep into the Syrian mire.

Two Republican senators have already come forward as nay-sayers. Directly after the president’s speech, John McCain and Graham Lindsey said they would vote against any limited military action in Syria short of an offensive for toppling Bashar Assad.

September is a sensitive month in Israel because most of it is taken up with festivals, starting in Rosh Hashanah, followed by Yom Kippur and then the Feast of Tabernacles.

debkafile’s military sources say that the government and military command decided in hectic overnight discussions to take no chances. Against possible negative repercussions from the US president’s bombshell, they decided to maintain the high state of security and military preparedness along Israel’s borders with Syria and Lebanon.
The three-tiered anti-missile system therefore remains in place and the gas mask distributions stations were reopened to the public Sunday morning.

To Daniel Duffield. The 10 lost tribes are lost to the Jewish nation. There have been many personal conversions in the last number of years and many of them are probably the souls of those who are of the lost tribes. Only by true conversion, can one enter into the fold of the Hebrew/Jewish nation. Most likely, you can be one of those from Ireland that descend from the Jewish prisoners taken captive by the Romans, as they used the Island for captives. There are mahy Irish that have the names of Cohan and Levi, with dark hair, who are most likely descendants of Jewish captives. Usually, those who turn to Torah and want to become Jewish have Jewish souls; otherwise, they are of the righteous of the nations and become the Bnei Noach, who, together, with the Jewish people all have a portion in the World to Come.

Dempsey: Syria Mission Would Cost One Billion Dollars a Month

An American attack against Syria's chemical weapon stashes would not only be a complicated and delicate military mission – it would also be a very expensive one, according to Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey.

A report on CNBC Sunday quoted America's top military man as saying that the operation could easily get out of control very quickly, as there would be many small operations that would need to be taken care of on such a mission, any one of which could set off a major conflagration.

CNBC was quoting from a July 19 letter it said Dempsey had sent to the Senate Armed Services Committee. In order to bring Syria to heel, he wrote, it would be necessary to “destroy portions of Syria's massive stockpile, interdicting its movement and delivery, or by seizing and securing program components." Doing that would require instituting a no-fly zone, as well as massive missile attacks.

Although President Obama said specifically in his Saturday night declaration that he would leave the details of the American response up to Congress that there would be “no American boots on the ground,” Dempsey wrote to the senators that “thousands of special operations forces and other ground forces would be needed to assault and secure critical sites,” according to the report.

The project, Dempsey added, would cost at least a billion dollars a month, a steep cost for an already deeply indebted U.S. In addition, he wrote, the U.S. needed to take into consideration the complicated nature of the mission, as U.S. troops would have to not only fight Syrian Army forces, but figure out ways to ensure that Syrian rebels allied with Al Qaeda did not seize Bashar al-Assad's chemical weapons before American troops had a chance to destroy them, Dempsey was quoted as telling the senators.

I have to ask the question about the following. The article has nothing to do with my question. If you scroll down, notice the photo taken of the presidents national security team. Interesting to see the faces in the photo, many hands are resting on their faces. What appears to be several drinking Nestle water, paperwork sitting on the table, etc. What I truly am interested in, is the fact that Obama appears to be talking. We can only assume that since this is a NATIONAL SECURITY MEETING, that what he is talking about is confidential in nature. The caption below the photo says "Obama with national security team (Photo: AFP)". My question is, who is AFP? One can only guess that it's Associated Free Press. Who was allowed to be a part of the NATIONAL SECURTIY TEAM meeting and take a photo? Who is behind the camera?

The Associated Press operates 243 news bureaus and it serves at least 120 countries, with an international staff located worldwide.

CDG, Yerushalayim

While we've been talking about the war about to overtake our corner of the world, at a time none of us can predict with certainty -- fortunately it looks like HaShem has given us a break to get ourselves together -- here is a Web site my husband developed - a comprehensive educational Israeli Civil Defense site for English speakers - not intended to supplement or replace work done by the Israeli authorities, but a repository of useful information. It discusses such pertinent items as: What to buy so that you don't have to rely on the electricity grid or the telephone/cellphone system; how to put together an emergency survival kit; and of course includes links to the Home Front Command site's instructional videos on how to use a gas mask - considering what we may be up against, a very important piece of the current CD situation.

Jay (Yaacov) Goldman, the founder of Hagana Ezrahit, has extensive experience in search and rescue training in the U.S. Civil Defense, Civil Air Patrol and U.S. Army infantry. He is a General Class Amateur Radio Operator and by profession, he is an Electronic Engineer and Project Manager. He and his wife (that's me) made Aliyah from the United States in 2007 and currently live in Jerusalem.

Now the Ba'al Kerry and the Obamanible One are trying to make the case that bombing Assad helps Israel. As an Israeli, I must say, I could care less which side wins or loses as long as the tide of war keeps going back and forth. They seem to be pre-occupied with killing each other, and neither side is less evil than the other.

I actually do agree that sarin gas use on one's own civilians where 1000 are dead half of whom are children is truly horrific, but so is the organ eating that is taking place on the other side albeit with one victim at a time. Spin the roulette wheel and take your pick. Forget about chivalry. I don't think that the Syrians know what that is.

Doesn't Ruth the baglady Ginsburg look like Ruth Buzzi swinging that purse on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In with that hairnet covering her hair tied up in a bun in back of her head? We have really produced some of America's worst people. To our shame, and it is shameful. And to think that I went to public school with many of these Jews who have now stooped into the sewer, happily leading America in that direction. Ruth Ginsburg is now using her position as Supreme Ct Justice to marry off homosexuals as your little ole' friendly Justice of the Peace. Earlier in her career she saw to it as an Appeals Ct. judge that Yehonatan Pollard's sentencing procedure would not be reviewed for its irregularities. To this day she sees nothing irregular about the Sec of Defense handing little notes to the sentencing judge just before he goes off into his chamber to deliberate. She has to be in a top ten list of "worst Jew of the Century award". She has expressed a new found vigor to marry off more homosexual men. She is not finished yet

Comment on: Tribes

Dan / England

Shoftim 5:17 Gilead stayed beyond the Jordan, And why did Dan remain on ships? Asher continued at the seashore, And stayed by his inlets.

"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
"Britons never will be slaves."

Shoftim 18:30 Then the children of Dan set up for themselves the carved image; and Jonathan the son of Gershom, the son of Manasseh, and his sons were priests to the tribe of Dan until the day of the captivity of the land.

Dan set up the image / map of the middle east.

Winston Churchill (Colonial Secretary in the early 1920s) -- drew the current map of the Middle East http://www.clas.ufl.edu/users/oren/inr4204middleeast.html

Rotate a map of the Middle East so west becomes north (Hashems view). Turkey is the rider with upraised arm, Sinai to Jordan the horses head and neck, etc.

Bershith 49:17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, A viper by the path, That bites the horse’s heels So that its rider shall fall backward.

Dan shall be a serpent by the way... Look how the River Thames snakes through London.

...bites the horse’s heels So that its rider shall fall backward...

See: The Battle of Navarino

The Ottoman empire was the first wave of locusts, we're looking at the second wave.

For the record: I know nothing about 'lost' tribes and I'm not interested, I just couldn't miss these patterns.

Just an FYI on that verse in Shoftim (Judges). In the Hebrew it does not say that Jonathan ben Gershom's grandfather was Menashe. The Nun in Menashe is rising from the text, inserted in there to hide the identity of his true grandfather. Remove the Nun, and you get Moshe Rabbeinu.

How could this happen to G-d's humble servant who revealed His Torah to Klal Yisrael and sent Mankind on its long march to Civilization. What happened is that his father-in-law Yethro made a deal with Moshe as a bargain when Moshe wanted to marry Tzipporah. Yithro came to the truth by experiencing all the avodah zarahs in the world. By process of elimination he concluded that there was only one G-d. He wanted Moshe's firstborn Gershom to come to the Truth in that identical way, not in the way that the Torah would later prescribe by shunning the world's falsehoods and only learning the Truth. Because Gershom's teacher was Moshe Rabbeinu, it worked out well for Gershom. Yet, Gershom ben Moshe tried the same technique on his son Yonatan. The results were disastrous in that Yonatan became a faithful servant of the Pesel Micha, and the Tribe of Dan made him their priest to this avodah zarah.

Also, the last Anonymous here trying to show how the Brits might be descendants of the lost ten tribes is all 'baloney'. The Brits happen to be and have been probably one of the worst anti-semites in Europe. Also, there seems to be an agenda where they want to make themselves as the true Israelites (Ephramites) and make mass aliya, c'v. The monarchy also insuates that they are the descendants from the Davidic Dynasty. Every ploy is being used today to try and take over to replace the Jews both in leadership and in religion. Won't work!

As someone who has lived 96% of his life in the UK, I just find it baffling that people believe that the British are from one or more of our lost tribes.

There are some very decent people here in the UK, despite what one might read, but nothing about the British convinces me that more than a handful of halachic Jews exist here outside of the recognised Jewish communities.

Sure, some descendants of Jews brought here by the Romans may well be alive, in Ireland too, as another has mentioned. And sure, there will be some Jews who were born of a Jewish mother and non-Jewish father but did no realise their mother was Jewish.

Going back further, we may even have descendants of some Jews who settled here whilst working for Shlomo Ha Melech when he bought tin from the Cornish in what is now South West England.

But the bulk of the English population, mainly from a mix of Pictish, British, Celtic, Roman, Angle, Saxon, Friesian and Viking stock with a touch of African thrown into the mix from the 18th century onwards...I just see nothing culturally or physically about them that "feels" Jewish.
Very unscientific I admit, but just my gut instinct.

I have no knowledge of any "Israelitism" here connected to the Lost Tribes until the growth of empire from the 16th century onwards, in fact it was a minor notion at best until the 19th Century and Blake.

At best just possibly a few Welsh and Scots may have some genetic link to us, some have a certain dark hair look but I put this down to Roman genes.

Anyway, I may be proven wrong by Mashiach!

Sorry to post again, but something struck me hearing that Obama is asking Congress for their vote on Syrian military action, in addition to Prime Minister Cameron having done so too.

In the book "Nation on Fire" by Shapiro, it says that during the lead up to Mashiach, the leaders will be lead by public opinion:

http://www.sichosinenglish.org/books/from-exile-to-redemption-1/08.htm

"The Face of the Generation will be Like the Face of a Dog" (i)
The eminent Rabbi Yisrael Salanter of blessed memory once explained this teaching as follows.

A dog by nature runs ahead of its master, always turning around to see where he is heading; whatever that direction may be, the dog arrives there first.

Now in common Hebrew and Yiddish parlance, the phrase pnei hador (here translated "the face of the generation") often signifies those who are [supposed to be] the leaders of the generation. In our days, however, on the eve of the Redemption, these ostensible leaders merely look around to see where their congregants would like to head, and they run there first....

I'll just make one more short comment on the lost tribes issue. There are a lot of incorrect assumptions being tossed about. British Israelism is indeed replacement theology and ideology. The Brit of Brit-Am does not mean Britain, it means Brit as in Covenant (covenant of the people). British Israelism started out right i think then spiraled into something else. So does the christian interpretation of the Brit-Am type movement and why one needs to read the rabbinical commentaries on the subject. One might start with Nachmanides and Rashi. But what strikes me funny is that from almost the beginning we fought, Judah and the Northern Kingdom. It's still happening. But G-d did say we will reunite in the end of days. So here we are. Just wait til it's shown that many Palestinian arabs are really Jews forced to convert to Islam. But to be honest, accepting our brothers, of the northern kingdom will be harder for most of us. It's our ancient sin. How we treat one another within Am Yisrael.

It is obvious that Obama and his shill, the Ba'al Kerry, still want to bomb something. Yet, they apparently think that that they have a month to do it with Congressional support since he has no mandate in the UN Sec. Council or even with America's buddy, Great Britain....the country to whom he returned the bust of Winston Churchill that was sitting in the Oval Office. So rather than being all alone in the world with his 9% support from the American public, he is seeking some sort of mandate before he bombs something. And he will use that time to try to get the Pieces talks going again in Rome next week because everyone knows that Jewish building in Jerusalem and Yesha is the root cause of most of the world's problems. Let us use this approx. 2 to 4 week window to do teshuvah, tefillah, and tzedakah, and perhaps after Congress gets back next week, they will leisurely approve something by Sukkot.

MKF: Agree with you, except that last sentence or two where you say that it will be hard for us to accept the northern tribes when Moshiach arrives, because we've always had that problem of getting along. In fact, it was the northern tribes headed by the Tribe of Ephraim who usurped the throne. Yeravan Ben Nvat could not stand it that the kingdom was continuing from Yehuda (even though at first, he was on a higher level Torah-wise than Rechavam). It was the ten tribes that left the nation, not the other way around. There was not even one king amongst the kings of Israel that was not a big sinner. While with Yeudah (who also got tempted with the evil ways) had good kings and some bad kings, but when they were the righteous kings, they were truly righteous. The Kingdom of Yisrael belongs to the descendants of Dovid HaMelech and no other. Also, as far the northern tribes returning; do not believe that will be so. If they are returning, they are returning through those individually who are converting today at an increased rate. Am not talking about the mass conversions (which I don't believe in), but that there are so many wanting to sincerely convert and others from the righteous of the nations turning to become Bnei Noach.

I should point out that if the US does bomb Syria, it will probably take place again during the time of the waning moon, but this time in Tishrei instead of in Elul. Obviously a Congressional debate will take days, and even if they started debate today, no vote would take place before Rosh HaShanah. So for whatever reason G-d, not Obama, has delayed this bombing until after the first few days of Sukkot 5774....unless something unexpected happens that cannot be predicted.

Kerry's amorality on any foreign policy issue is attested to by the comment immediately above. Kerry as recently as two years ago considered Assad a good friend. He is one morally bankrupt man.

Enough said on why they want Assad removed. Jarba tied to Saudi Arabia.

Ahmad Jarba, born in the Qamishli tribe in 1969, is a former political prisoner,[2] Syrian leader and politician. He has been the President of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces,[3] which is the main opposition group of the Syrian Civil War, since 6 July 2013. His election took place in the second round of voting of a three days meeting organized by the Coalition in order to renew its board. He obtained 55 votes, three more than his rival Mustafa Sabbagh, who was supported by Qatar.[2] According to The Economist, "there is little reason to believe he will wield more influence than his predecessor, Moaz al-Khatib."[2]

Jarba holds a bachelor of law and is also member of the Revolutionary Council of Syrian Clans representing Al-Hasakah and has close ties with the Saudi Arabian government. He is a leader of the powerful Shammar tribe, which has branches in Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.[2]

Today is a busy day. We just had 1 1/2 hours of Selichot, followed by daveing, and then Hatarat Nedarim (the permitting of vows and pledges where we pledged NOT to do something). Not all vow annulments are permitted, especially those that involves vows made to other people who have not yet released you from your vow. It is a very complicated Nusach which requires a 3 person Beit Din. So a group of four people switch off with three sitting down and one person annulling the vows that he can annul. Also if you don't regularly go to a mikveh, you should go to a mikveh today. Also don't forget Eruv Tavshilin in order to cook on Yom Tov for Shabbat. One cannot cook on the 1st day of Yom Tov for the 2nd day of Yom Tov...just on Yom Tov for Shabbat.

"The question has made the rounds in Iran since last month, when a pro-government Web site published a Hadith (or tradition) from a Shi’ite text of the 17th century. The tradition comes from Bihar al-Anwar (meaning Oceans of Light) by Mullah Majlesi, a magnum opus in 132 volumes and the basis of modern Shi’ite Islam.

According to the tradition, Imam Ali ibn Abi-Talib (the prophet’s cousin and son-in-law) prophesied that at the End of Times and just before the return of the Mahdi, the Ultimate Saviour, a “tall black man will assume the reins of government in the West.” Commanding “the strongest army on earth,” the new ruler in the West will carry “a clear sign” from the third imam, whose name was Husayn ibn Ali.

The tradition concludes: “Shi’ites should have no doubt that he is with us.”

G'mar Chatimah Tovah! Bli Ayin HaRa, I will write a new post after tomorrow's Fast of Gedaliya. Yirmiyahu HaNavi spends about five chapters (40-44) describing the assassination of Gedaliya and its aftermath. Gedaliya was assassinated on Rosh HaShanah after the destruction of the First Temple. The remaining Jews in Judea were given a choice to remain in Eretz Yisrael even after Nebuchandezzar's appointed Governor, Gedaliyahu ben Achikam, was assassinated. Against Yirmiayhu's prophesy that it would be good with them in Eretz Yisrael, they decided to go down to Egypt to escape Nebuchandezzar's perceived wrath after the assassination. In reality they were attracted to the Avodah Zarah that was prevalent in Egypt, and they were eventually wiped out by Nebuchadezzar's forces when he sacked Egypt. Have a meaningful fast.

ADL's Foxman: Obama Asked Us to Help on Syria
ADL Director Abe Foxman tells IDF Radio White House called him directly. Analyst: Jewish groups "courting disaster."

Abraham Foxman, who heads the US-based Anti-Defamation League, told IDF Radio Monday morning that elements in the White House asked the ADL and other Jewish groups to help it in the campaign to get congressional approval for a military strike on Syria.

"In the same way that Secretary Kerry and senior Obama Administration officials asked for our help in advancing the peace process, so they asked for support about a strike on Syria – by means of a phone call and direct requests," Foxman said.

"Congressmen have been calling our people in the last few days and we have told them what our position is. In the course of Rosh Hashanna, and as Yom Kippur approaches, too, rabbis in several synagogues will urge the congregation to put pressure on members of Congress."

The ADL expressed its strong support for Obama's plans in Syria Tuesday, saying, “We welcome President Obama’s demonstration of U.S. leadership in responding to the use of chemical weapons in Syria.”

“Congress should act swiftly to add its voice to hold President Bashar al-Assad accountable for the wanton slaughter of his own citizens,” said Foxman and Curtiss-Lusher, ADL National Chair.

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has also been enlisted to rally support for Obama's plan to strike Syria.

AIPAC released a statement in which it urged Congress “to grant the President the authority he has requested to protect America’s national security interests and dissuade the Syrian regime's further use of unconventional weapons.”

“The civilized world cannot tolerate the use of these barbaric weapons, particularly against an innocent civilian population including hundreds of children,” said AIPAC.

The willingness of Jewish groups to assist Obama in this matter has come under fire from some Jewish leaders.

Attorney Mark Langfan, Chairman of Americans for a Safe Israel, wrote in an Arutz Sheva op-ed that "AIPAC is courting disaster in actively lobbying for the Congressional resolution for a US Syria attack."

"If, G-d-forbid, US body-bags come back from Obama's misadventure, the Jews of America should expect virulent anti-Semitism as a direct result of the ill-advised lobbying," he explained. "American Jews got wrongly accused of pushing America into the Iraqi war, despite the fact that the then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon openly warned Bush against it. AIPAC has positioned Jews as the scapegoat once more."

Sorry, Yoshke was rejected for being a Navi Sheker, instructing people to break Shabbat in public, claiming to be the Messiah (the source of him being a Navi sheker), destroying property in the Ct. of the Gentiles on the Temple Mount, the list goes on and on. Millions of Jews throughout history have bled to death because of the crime of Deicide and other "unforgivable crimes" such as blood libels. There is good reason for the fact that he was rejected by those who were authorities in both the Written and Oral Torah (Meforshim or Perushim or Pharisees) 2000 years ago. It is a strange religion Xtianity. The unforgivable sin is rejection of their mangod/ Messiah and not all the innocent blood that was shed in Yoshke's name for the last 2000 years. The ultimate rejection of Xtianity is a rejection of the Pharisaic world of extenuating circumstances where for every Thou shalt not, there are dozens of heterim (permissible exceptions) and where for every Thou shalt, there are dozens whom might be patur (exempt). By allowing for the worldview that G-d takes our extenuating circumstances into account, then everyone becomes obligated for just about everything that they do based on their extenuating circumstances. By rejecting that worldview, many Xtians (but not all) concentrate on the meaningless death and resurrection of Yoshke and not on how to be better human beings. Hopefully this 2000 year old distraction will soon be ending.

Now it seems Putin is backing off supporting Syria if they do not turn control of chemical weapons over to an internatonal team. The intersting part is a former US general has stated there was a plan to take over 5 countries in 5 years, seems to be playing out. It started with Iraq.

Says Rabbi Nir ben Artzi (parshas Ha'azinu)

The United States and her allies are not in a hurry to come and attack Syria, they just want to threaten her from afar. Lest we forget, Russia is also chasing a place in the Middle East. Russia defends Syria and the United States defends the other countries in the Middle East, not just Israel. Israel doesn't need their protection. This is a demonstration of force by the Americans and nothing more than that!  They received a burn and a blow in the war against Iraq, a lot of American soldiers were killed there and no citizen of the United States wants his child to be killed for nothing.

Syria will be wiped out, no one can 'bother' the destruction in Syria. Syria doesn't have the time to busy itself with the State of Israel, they know that Israel loves peace. Syria is entirely defensive against the United States. When Syria will listen to Russia, gather all the chemical substances and promise not to use it - the United States will not attack. If, chas v'shalom, the United States will attack, they won't attack the chemical and gas missiles, they'll drop intimidating bombs in the Syrian desert. The United States needs to highlight itself to make an example.

Antisemitism will increase without end and there will be an airlift of new immigrants to Eretz Yisrael very soon.

In Ezekiel 38-39 the Prophet warns this coming war between Iran (Persia) and Israel will take place sometime after Israel has been re-gathered into Her land as a nation (which was fulfilled on May 14, 1948) ... this prophetic war has never yet taken place ... the only time in history Persia (Iran) has ever gone to war against Israel was to help Israel throw off the yoke of the Byzantine Empire around 614 AD.

THIS WAR will be unlike any other war in history ... this war will unleash a series of irreversible events which will change the world forever.

In the prophecy their is a warning that the US will NOT defend Israel. According to the Bible, Israel must stand alone ... with G'd. For when this coming war does finally start, the United States will be unwilling (or unable) to help Israel defend herself. Even though the Bible warns the invading armies will be ultimately destroyed by G'd, it will be a devastating war for both Israel and the whole world.

Land Mines in the Senate to passing a resolution for a Declaration of War

If somehow the Senate votes on a Declaration of War in the next ten days, then the House of Reps. will get a crack at it. If it passes the Senate, the House will take it more seriously, but with Harry Reid in charge, the US Senate is Comedy Central. The twist and turns in what is going on has more surprises than the pathway through someone's small intestines. This was definitely delayed from the end of Elul until the end of Tishrei for a reason, to allow us to get on board for teshuvah and procuring the Arba Minim (4 species) for Sukkot. Notice that the article gives the Exact time that Yom Kippur begins in Washington DC.

If Netanyahu looked over his shoulder and saw the 4th beast in the Book of Daniel 7 and then blinked, he should have resigned on the spot. You can't play Chess as a game of deception with The Satan. The Satan knows every deception in the book. G-d Himself made The Satan the Father of Lies. So a congenital liar and deceiver like Netanyahu who has deceived every world leader to keep them off our back, cannot play this game of deception with The Satan. We would all be better off if he would retire now. He is outmatched by his present foe in this particular Chess match. For this one we need a straight arrow, who tells O and the Ba'al Kerry to go to H-ll. Since that won't happen, G-d has a better more miraculous plan.

The Syrian leader doesn’t feel that the attack is going to threaten his rule or overthrow him, that’s why he is calm. Having said that, he already started moving [the terrorist group] Hezbollah in Lebanon only because he wants to change the focus and shift international attention away from Syria.

Says Rabbi Nir ben Artzi about the US and Syria(Shabbes-Yom Kippur):

The United States, Obama and Kerry are reluctant to fight against Syria. Because of honor, Obama does not know how to 'come down from the tree' because Russia is defending Syria and making a 'wall' between the United States and Syria. Obama says if they don't export the operation, the legal proceeding of the US will decrease - better that the honor decreases from himself and their honor won't be brought down. A suggestion for Obama and Kerry: Leave Syria to herself, the time will come that also the chemical bombs will fall apart.

Syria will continue to be wiped out, the hand of G-d is in this thing. The rebels opened a larger opening to fight the Syrian Army. The refugees will continue to flee in their masses to Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon and also to the direction of Gaza.

All these things are in force and in the balance on the positive side this year. Remember there are 72 minutes between dawn (Alot HaShachar) and sunrise. Sunrise on this Geulah process is before Pesach this year which just so happens to be the end of the Ba'al Kerry's 9 months. These next 7 months, which include an Adar Sheini, should be phenomenal.

A Chinese landing craft with 1,000 marines for Syria – reports
DEBKAfile September 6, 2013, 12:31 PM (GMT+02:00)

Western naval sources reported Friday that a Chinese landing craft, the Jinggangshan, with a 1,000-strong marine battalion had reached the Red Sea en route for the Mediterranean off Syria. According to DEBKAfile, Beijing has already deployed a number of warships opposite Syria in secret. A critical situation is unfolding:

A massive US and allied naval deployment is occurring in the Eastern Mediterranean off Syria’s coastline as well as in the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf.

Moscow has announced that is also sending two warships to the Eastern Mediterranean to reinforce its naval strength which operates out of Russia’s naval base at the port of Tartus in Southern Syria.

Within hours of one another Russia, Syria and Iran embarked on a landmark strategy to isolate Israel and to challenge United States Middle East foreign policy. Russia announced that it will sell sophisticated missiles to Syria, which have the ability to reach deep into the heart of Israel, and Iran and Syria unveiled intentions to present a untied front against Western aggressors such as the United States and Israel, events both that bring into clearer focus end time prophecies in Ezekiel that point to a large military confrontation against Israel by Russia, Iran and other nations of the Middle East.

Ezekiel 38:3-5 says, Thus says the Lord G'd; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armor, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet.Gog is widely considered Russia. Persia is Iran, even parts of Iraq and other areas of the Middle East. These forces are aligning together, Iran and Syria with the expressed purpose of ending Israel's existence in the Middle East, to come against Israel.

Furthermore, the United States applies extraordinary pressure on Israel to appease Palestinian terrorists by giving land for peace. Additionally, several leading Israeli politicians move aggressively forward with plans to turn over control of the West Bank to the Palestinian Authority. Zechariah 12:3, And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the people; all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

So at least they are thinking about teshuvah. May I suggest that they repent for voting for lowlifes who would give the enemies of Israel the high ground in the Shomron overlooking their apartments and homes in Tel Aviv. This entire year was one attempt after another of Netanyahu avoiding his role as Prime Minister by telling Obama to go to hell. So things will now change so much that he will be forced to take a stand...or he will be replaced by someone who will as Mordechai told Queen Esther.

Have just read the Obama speech.
Reads to me like a declaration of intent to use military strikes on Syria.
Obama explains he will try all diplomatic avenues.
He knows that these will almost certainly fail, giving him the pretext to conduct military strikes.

It reminds me of that famous speech of British Prime Minister Chamberlain on September 3rd 1939, when he said "This morning the British ambassador in Berlin handed the German government a final note stating that unless we heard from them by 11 o'clock that they were prepared at once to withdraw their troops from Poland, a state of war would exist between us. I have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received, and that consequently this country is at war with Germany."

The key sentence "I have to tell you that no such undertaking has been received".
I can imagine Obama saying that in a speech in the near future, referring to the non-removal of chemical weapons by Assad.

Tonight's was a very chilling speech.

- On an other but related note, I still think that there will be an "incident", probably manufactured, that acts as the major catalyst for an attack on Israel by the other powers. I just cannot believe the reasons for such an attack will "evolve".

Meir, as far as I know, and I know the prophets pretty well, there is no mention of an "eastern nation." If you have a source, I'd like to see it.

Also, you can't just arbitrarily name countries whose names are not specifically mentioned anywhere in scripture.

Unless I'm mistaken, in Daniel, the King of the North was a Syrian Greek, a Yefet descendant, and the South was Egypt, Ham, so it makes more sense to see these as Eisav and Yishmael at the end of days, imho.

We know from the prophet Zechariah that Israel will stand alone in the last days of this generation and indeed they are. The U.S., the EU and Russia are all involved and all parties are desperately attempting to force Israel into the pre-1967 borders, which most military experts agree is indefensible.

Exactly as biblical prophecy would dictate. What 'the nations' don't understand, is that G'd is watching these developments and G'd Himself will protect Israel. Too bad Gog doesn't recognize that fact because it will be his undoing. As it will be for any nation attempting to divide Jerusalem - which is a big part of this effort and the so-called 'pre-1967 borders' arrangement. We know directly from biblical prophecy that anyone or any nation that attempts to divide Jerusalem will be "cut into pieces' - and that list is all inclusive. The U.S. is no exception to that rule. We also know from Genesis 12:3 what happens to those who 'curse' Israel.

Take G'd at His word…

"...I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of my people and my inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided, up my land." Joel 3:1-2

While Europe, the US and other Western and global nation-states continue their debt-fueled collapse the governments of these countries will continue to consider their citizens' wealth to be their own and seize more of their assets.

In March, 2009, Ireland seized €4bn from its Pension Reserve fund in order to rescue its banks. In November 2010, the remaining savings of €2.5bn was seized to support the bailout of the rest of the country.
In December, 2010, Hungary told its citizens that they could either remit their private pension money to the state or lose their state pension funds (but still have to pay for it nonetheless)
In November, 2010, the French parliament decided to earmark €33bn from the national reserve pension fund FRR to reduce the short-term pension scheme deficit.
In early January 2011, $60 million in private retirement funds were transferred to the state's pension scheme in Bulgaria. They wanted to transfer $300 million, but were denied on their first attempt

And, of course, this spring, Cyprus took it a step further and outright confiscated up to 50% of the funds from bank account holders in that country.

Last week the Polish government announced it would transfer to the state (aka. confiscate) the bulk of assets owned by the country's private pension funds (many of them owned by such foreign firms as PIMCO parent Allianz, AXA, Generali, ING and Aviva), without offering any compensation.

The Stages of The Rise And Fall of All Great Nations

History shows us that all of the great nations of the world have never lived much more than 200 years, and there has been sequential stages in every case.

The first stage moves from bondage to spiritual faith. The second from spiritual faith to great courage. The third stage moves from great courage to liberty. The fourth stage moves from liberty to abundance. The fifth stage moves from abundance to selfishness. The sixth stage moves from selfishness to complacency. The seventh stage moves from complacency to apathy. The eighth stage moves from apathy to moral decay. The ninth stage moves from moral decay to dependence. And the tenth and last stage moves from dependence to bondage.

The one thing that seems for sure. Our PM Bibi, who is CFR trained, is NOT able to think out of the box that we here in Israel are NOT part of the Western World which is in total collapse. I don't think that he is capable of accepting deep in his heart that we are truly alone in the world of flesh and blood. And therefore he won't behave in a way which shows that he has accepted these consequences. G-d will have to help us get rid of this burdensome faithless stone. We need to be free of his oppressive, dependent, submissive way of thinking.

The International Isolation of Israel

One of the recurring themes of the last days, as foretold by the our prophets, is the international isolation of Israel. From a Bavarian court to the U.S. State Department, South Africa to Charlotte, North Carolina, we are seeing evidence of this in media headlines. (Well, actually, that's not exactly true. We don't read about Israel's growing isolation in the headlines because the Mainstream Media refuses to report it.)

In fact, the prophet Zechariah says that, eventually, all of the nations of the world will gather together against Israel. They'll do so over the issue of who controls Jerusalem.

In its 3,000 year history, Jerusalem, which, ironically, means "City of Peace," has been destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, and attacked 52 times. Just since the nation's rebirth in 1948, Jerusalem has felt the impact of four major wars. Why? It has none of the usual assets that cause great cities to rise. It has no seaport, no natural wealth, no particular strategic military value. The ancient trade routes from Egypt to Assyria, Babylon, and Persia ran north and south along the plateau of Jordan, bypassing Jerusalem to the east.

During centuries of occupation by the Muslims, Jerusalem was a dusty, backwater city so unimportant that it never even achieved the status of a regional or provincial capital. Yet, despite 2,000 years of mediocrity and desolation, Jerusalem is now the most contended-for city on the face of the earth.

Ominously, Zechariah predicted that the thought of possessing Jerusalem would so "intoxicate" the nations of the world, that in the last days they would go to war over it. He also described the city as such a "burdensome stone," that any nation that tried to solve the dilemma would be "cut in pieces."The British found themselves charged with settling the Jerusalem question in 1917. Thirty years later, the British Empire fell apart. Jimmy Carter and Anwar Sadat took on the challenge of Jerusalem. One lost his presidency, the other his life. Bill Clinton led the United States into the fray with the Oslo Accords in 1993. George W. Bush and Barack Obama stuck to the plan. Nearly twenty years later, the U.S. economy is in shambles, our military is worn and tattered, our people exhausted and divided, and the foreign policy is in absolute disarray. And Israel, which did not even exist from Zechariah's day until 64 years ago, is more isolated and hated than ever.

And in the days to come, we will see Israel and the Jews isolated more and more by the nations of the world. Until one day, when we will stand absolutely alone against the world. Only Moshiach will be on our side. But that will be enough.

"Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron: But I will send a fire unto the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad. I will break also the bar of Damascus..." (Amos 1:3-5)

The revelation was this: Syria has engaged war with the State of Israel three times (1948, 1967, 1973), but the fourth time will bring about Syria's downfall, marked by the total destruction of its capital city, Damascus. This will be a prophetic sign of an even more significant event to follow: a direct invasion of Israel by Russia, supported by Iran (Persia) and Russia's other allies as described in the book of the prophet Ezekiel, chapters 38-39.

"Behold,Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." (Isaiah 17:1)

As in all Arab-Israeli conflicts in modern times, Russia has trained, equipped and provided manpower to help the Arab nations fulfill their Islamic-driven mandate to "drive Israel into the sea." However, as promised in the scriptures, God will not let Israel's enemies win--nor will he allow Russia itself, like a Goliath against little David, to destroy the Jewish state, which it will attempt to do following the coming Syrian conflict.

Another scripture concerning Syria's final challenge to Israel comes from the prophet Micah (chapter five, verses 2-6) in a messianic-related verse that predicts a Syrian ("Assyrian") invasion in the latter times of history after G'd had "regathered" the Jews back to their ancient homeland, as confirmed by many other prophecies.

"And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he comes into our land, and when he treads within our borders." - (Micah 5:6)

As indicated in Micah 5:6, response to Israel's aggressors will be severe: "And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword." Obviously, at no time since Israel's modern rebirth as a nation-state has it wasted the "land of Assyria," much less its capital, Damascus. Apart from losing the Golan Heights in the 1967 Six-Day War, Syria has been mostly untouched. However, according to the prophetic scriptures a breaking of Syria and the destruction of Damascus is certain:

"So shall it stand: That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders." (Isaiah 19:1)

Although Israel will survive the next round with Syria and Egypt, it could be the most costly yet in Jewish lives and the destruction of Israel's actual or perceived military strength. No doubt this would be an enticement for Israel's more powerful enemy, Russian, who has always desired to control the Middle East and its oil, to try to exploit the situation soon thereafter. Such a perception might even be the "hooks in the jaws" that G'd says, through Ezekiel, He will use to draw Russia into its destructive conflict with tiny Israel. Little does Russia know, however, that its armies will actually be facing off with the G'd of Israel, who will unleash His powers upon earth again on a scale unseen since ancient times to annihilate the Russian-led invaders.

The next Syrian/Egyptian battle with Israel, including the destruction of Damascus, will be a major step forward towards Israel's more explosive conflict with "Gog and Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal" (Russia). In great detail the prophet Ezekiel (38-39) describes this Russian-led invasion that will involve Iran (Persia), Libya, Turkey (Togarmah), Ethiopia and others. An alliance of western nations, referred to symbolically as "the merchants of Tarshish with all its young lions," will verbally oppose Russia's attempt to dominate the Middle East by conquering Israel, but it is yet unclear whether Russia's western enemies actually get a chance to fight, due to the quick, divine intervention on Israel's behalf that Ezekiel describes.

However, Ezekiel 38-39 does seem to describe events of near global proportions, possibly a limited nuclear war. Remarkably, G'd himself enters the fight according to the scriptures, for without His help tiny Israel would surely be destroyed by such overwhelming forces.

The PM was educated and trained at CFR so it only seems natural for him to be a follower of the Avodah Zarah of popularity and World Public Opinion. He gave away valuable land the first time around so how is it so many so-called right-wing nationalist Jews voted for him a second time? Why is it the 'right-wing' have hurt more Jews and done more damage to Israel than the Lefties? How?

I am not worried Me'ir, starting this year we have the advantage of the full merit of the 6 million Jews who lost their lives in the Final Solution. It may be our only collective merit, but the Shoah was the 7th Churban. The 70 years from the destruction of the 2nd Temple to the crushing of the Bar Kochba revolt (actually 65 years) was the 1st Churban after the destruction of the 2nd Temple. And that was followed by 6 x 300 year cycles, the last one with the Churban at the end of the last cycle. We are all Churbaned out, and the 6 million are back but this time they are here in E. Yisrael. Plus since the main test of this generation is with all of our money, we will be supplemented with Jews from Chu"l who will survive the coming interim period even if they come with just their pajamas in a plastic bag. The hint in our holidays is that in the 3rd regel (pilgrimage festival) we dwell in Sukkot (booths). The most that will happen here in Eretz Yisrael is that we might lose our homes. And that is a worst case scenario.

There is a big comet coming around Chanukah time. The first day of Chanukah this year falls on American Thanksgiving.

Also as a CFR guy, Bibi is not specifically looking to be loved by the entire world. According to Esav's rules on this matter, which he is committed as a CFR guy to live by, if he can get one nation, amongst the five permanent members, on the UN Sec. Council to veto all the bad stuff about us, then the world would leave us alone. So as a CFR guy, he is more concerned or maybe downright terrified that with Sammy Power as Obama's Man at the UN, Israel has ZERO permanent members right now to veto any resolution with teeth. So in the practical political world, he is under his bed covers chattering his teeth in pure terror while people with a pure emunah are getting a good night's sleep...after saying Selichot and Tikun Chatzot of course.

Question I have always wanted to ask: There is somewhere that says the Arabs will rule at the End of Days for a short while, then Moshiach comes.
So, is it now that they are ruling because no one knows what the suicide bombers look like and therefore they rule or is it that they are infiltrating many countries governments or is it something that is still yet to come? Is it that it could happen, yet the speed in which things are unfolding it may be that their rule will be skipped?

Rashi continues and mentions a possible alternate explanation: The Jews left "mechamushim" meaning one out of every five Jews were taken out of Egypt, and the other four-fifths died during the plague of darkness.

Could it be that this selection will again happen before the End of Days? The war of Gog and Magog included?

Dov, concerning Ä...the main test of this generation is with all of our money,..."

Rampant Jewish assimilation.

Around the world today, assimilation of the Jews is metastasizing.

On average, Jews are among the world’s wealthiest nations. Overall, about 90 percent of world Jews reside in countries ranked in the top two tenths when it comes to wealth and development.

Meanwhile, the American Jewish community is the most influential Jewish community in the Diaspora, while the Jewish communities in Mexico, Australia, and Canada are the most prosperous, in terms of participation rate in the Jewish education system, intermarriage rate, organized communal activity, and ties with Israel.

However, the situation in most countries is not very encouraging, the study found, with most world Jews opting for marriage with non-Jews.

Today, undoubtedly the biggest Jewish problem in America is an internal issue – Jewish assimilation. About 800,000 Jews out of a total population of approximately 5.3 million are Jewish but do not identify at all with the Jewish people or view themselves as part of it.

American Jewish life is in danger of disappearing, just as most American Jews have achieved everything we ever wanted: acceptance, influence, affluence, equality. As the result of skyrocketing rates of intermarriage and assimilation, as well as "the lowest birth rate of any religious or ethnic community in the United States," the era of enormous Jewish influence on American life may soon be coming to an end. Although Jews make up just over 2 percent of the population of the United States--approximately 5.5 million out of 262 million--many Americans mistakenly believe that we constitute a full 20 percent of the American people, because of our disproportionate visibility, influence, and accomplishments. But our numbers may soon be reduced to the point where our impact on American life will necessarily become marginalized. One Harvard study predicts that if current demographic trends continue, the American Jewish community is likely to number less than 1 million and conceivably as few as 10,000 by the time the United States celebrates its tricentennial in 2076. Other projections suggest that early in the next century, American Jewish life as we know it will be a shadow of its current, vibrant self--consisting primarily of isolated pockets of ultra-Orthodox Hasidim.

The Jews of Europe are once again in grave danger, but the real threat to their future is not quite what you might think.

While the wave of anti-Semitism sweeping the continent is indeed disturbing, there is a far more destructive force at work these days, one that places the continued existence of European Jewry in doubt.

It is the ailment of assimilation and the malady of intermarriage which are truly wreaking havoc in Jewish communities across Europe. And though they may not receive as much attention as an assault on a rabbi in the streets of Paris or the desecration of a cemetery outside Berlin, the blows which they strike are nevertheless more lasting and more painful, as well as more difficult to repair.

The fact of the matter is that with only a few exceptions, the Jewish communities of Europe are gradually shrinking in size, contracting quantitatively as a result of declining birthrates, aging populations and increasing numbers of young people who marry out of the fold.

Soaring intermarriage rates have taken a toll as well, in some cases reaching as high as 80 percent or more, raising further questions about the viability of some European Jewish communities.

In effect, this means that within just 75 years or so, French and English Jewry will only be half their current size.

In smaller Jewish communities in Europe, the retrenchment rates have been even more pronounced.

In Russia and Ukraine, the intermarriage rate stands at a whopping 80 percent, compared to about three percent in Israel. Some 880,000 Jews leaving in the former Soviet Union are allegeable for immigration to Israel, but as things stand, 80% of the community is assimilating.

Kerry threatens Israel with isolation: "US Sec. of State John F. Kerry tell Jewish leaders "I fear for Israel's future if not peace deal is signed."

What peace deal is that? U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry gave Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas a letter guaranteeing that the basis of the negotiations will be Israel’s pre-1967 borders, two senior Palestinian officials said Saturday.

Inaccurately called the “1967 borders,” the lines referred to by Obama are the 1949 armistice lines that were in place up until the June 1967 Six Day War.

Not only are none of the major settlement blocs in Judea and Samaria, such as Ma’ale Adumim included in those borders, but neither are the Western Wall, the Old City of Jerusalem, the Jerusalem neighborhoods of Ramot, Gilo, Neve Yaakov, East Talpiot, Pisgat Ze’ev (to name a few), nor the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway (Route 1) as it crosses into the Latrun area.

Those lines, the famous “Auschwitz borders” as they were called by the late Israeli Labor-party statesman Abba Eban, leaves Israel’s heavily populated coastal plain, just 9-11 miles from the border of what would be Palestine.

Kerry says to either surrender territory to its sworn genocidal enemy or face isolation. In other words, commit suicide or we will facilitate your destruction. Some choice. No such threats are made to the PA regardless of the hatred, incitement and terrorism they perpetrate. They continue to be funded. No such threats of sanctions against these horrific islamic regimes that perpetrate massacres. If the talks don't bear fruit, it will be because of the "palestinians" as it always is. But no such threats are ever issued against the "palestinians".

Leah, "There is nothing as harsh to Israel as the Exile of Yishmael" (Zohar Shemot 288)

"Why is his name called Yishmael? Because in the future, HKB"H will hear the sound of the cries of the people from what the children of Yishmael will do in the future - therefore, his name is called Yishmael" (Pirkei deRibbi Eliezer Ch. 33)

The Exile of Yishmael, according to Rabbeinu Sa'adia Gaon (on Daniel 2:41), is a portion of the Exile of Edom. And this is what Nevuchadnetzar saw in his dream, that the idol had feet - some made of iron and some made of earthenware. The iron represents the Kingdom of Edom, while the earthenware represents the Kingdom of Yishmael. On the other hand, the Mahara"l's opinion in the book Netzah Yisrael (Ch. 21) and in his work Ner Mitzvah is: "...It appears that we can say that Yishmael is included in the Kingdom of Paras (Persia), and it's included in a second kingdom, as their conduct and deeds are similar. And it's a known fact that the Kingdom of Paras and the Kingdom of Yishmael are alike and similar in their matters and their conduct."

The Kingdom of Paras-Yishmael will last until the Days of Mashiah, just like Edom (Avoda Zara 2b). Indeed, the Kingdom of Yishmael in our days is still powerful, and is not like Christianity, which is in a clear decline. However, also Islam - its expansion is mainly among the fundamentalists - and not among the moderates. In our days, the Arabs attack not just the existance of Zionism in the land, but also the Jews - just like the Syrian President - Bashar Assad and others - they attack Judaism on their Internet sites with words of heresy, Rahmana Litzlan.

The war in our days with the Palestinians - awakens all the Arabs in the world against the Jews. And perhaps, it's more proper to say that the Palestinians are the agents of all the Arabs in the world against the Nation of Israel.

In the Zohar (Parshat Balak, p. 198) it's explained that the verses (Tehillim 60:10) "עָלַי, פְּלֶשֶׁת הִתְרוֹעָעִי - Philistia, cry aloud because of me!" and (Tehillim 108:10)עֲלֵי-פְלֶשֶׁת, אֶתְרוֹעָע - over Philistia do I cry aloud" are just like the phrase that precedes them in the verse "עַל-אֱדוֹם, אַשְׁלִיךְ נַעֲלִי - upon Edom do I cast my shoe". The Zohar explains that this is said for a faraway time, which implies the End of Days. And similarly, the verse regarding the Philistines is said for a faraway time. And we see an amazing thing - the Arabs who constantly opposed being called "Palestinians" - the same as Philistines - today call themselves "Philistines". The Zohar adds and says, "And what is required for this? A Teruah, as it says (BaMidbar 10:9) וְכִי-תָבֹאוּ מִלְחָמָה בְּאַרְצְכֶם, עַל-הַצַּר הַצֹּרֵר אֶתְכֶם--וַהֲרֵעֹתֶם, בַּחֲצֹצְרֹת; וְנִזְכַּרְתֶּם, לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם, וְנוֹשַׁעְתֶּם, מֵאֹיְבֵיכֶם - And when ye go to war in your land against the adversary that oppresseth you, then ye shall sound an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies." And behold, the Intifada took place inside the land, and the enemy is found among us - something that didn't exist at any time until the Intifada.

The Gematrias of the verses are interesting. The word אֶתְרוֹעָע from Chapter 108 equals [5]747, or תשמ"ז and the word הִתְרוֹעָעִי from Chapter 60 equals [5]761, or תשס"א. They were both Shemitta years. One was the eve of the first Intifada, which broke out on the 40th anniversary of the declaration of the State of Israel in the United Nations., as it says in Tehillim 95" אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה, אָקוּט בְּדוֹר-- וָאֹמַר, עַם תֹּעֵי לֵבָב הֵם; וְהֵם, לֹא-יָדְעוּ דְרָכָי. אֲשֶׁר-נִשְׁבַּעְתִּי בְאַפִּי; אִם-יְבֹאוּן, אֶל-מְנוּחָתִי - For forty years was I wearied with that generation, and said: It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known My ways; Wherefore I swore in My wrath, that they should not enter into My rest." 5761 was the year of the second Intifada, which broke out in the final hours of the year 5760, the afternoon of Erev Rosh Hashana, 5761.]

And the Ba'al HaTurim wrote (at the end of Parshat Hayyei Sarah) on the verse: "על פני כל אחיו נפל - over against all his brethren he did settle (or fall)", and next to that verse is "וְאֵלֶּה תּוֹלְדֹת יִצְחָק, בֶּן-אַבְרָהָם - And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son". When Yishmael will fall in the End of Days, then the son of David, represented by Yitzhak, will sprout.

'Triple Whammy' May Mean a Tough Yom Kippur for Many
The weather, the calendar, and the clock are conspiring to make this year's fast one of the most challenging in years for Israelis

Arutz 7, First Publish: 9/12/2013, 9:49 AM, Ayelet HaShachar

The large majority of Israelis who fast on Yom Kippur will be hit with a “triple whammy” this year: The weather, the calendar, and the clock are conspiring to make this year's fast one of the most challenging in years.

Yom Kippur begins Friday night and extends through Saturday night, and according to forecasters, temperatures on Friday and Saturday will hit the mid- to upper-thirties Celsius (close to 100 degrees Fahrenheit). The heat wave will be one of the hottest for the year, and the Yom Kippur thermometer will reach heights not seen for eleven years, forecasters said.

Oddly, temperatures are set to sink considerably on Sunday, with forecasters predicting very pleasant weather for the following week, which sees the beginning of Sukkot.

Besides the weather, Israelis are also contending, for the first time in many years, with a "longer" fast. Last spring, the Knesset decided to extend Daylight Savings (Summer) time, so the Yom Kippur fast will this year end an hour later than it usually does (of course, the fast begins an hour later as well, but for most people the difficulty in fasting is far more pronounced towards the end of the fast).

Add to that the fact that due to the nature of the Hebrew calendar, Yom Kippur this year falls out “early” - about two weeks earlier than it did last year, and in fact on one of the earliest solar calendar dates possible based on the intercalation of the Hebrew calendar - with the result that the fast ends at one of the latest times in recent memory.

Yom Kippur this year falls on September 14, ending at 6:24 PM in Tel Aviv. The last time the holiday fell this early on the secular calendar was in 1899.

Arutz Sheva wishes all its readers a meaningful – and easy – fast.

Reasons indicating that we are living in the end times

1) Increasing instability of nature - great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; terrors and great signs from heaven.

2) The Signs of Society - Men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure. Increasing lawlessness and violence.

3) The Spiritual Signs - Increasing blasphemy. Increasing paganism. Increasing despair. Signs in the heavens. Increasing knowledge. Increasing travel. The explosion of cults. Increasing attacks on the Bible. Increasing occultism.

4) The Signs of Technology - Wars and rumors of wars. Weapons of mass destruction. Increasing famine. Increasing pestilence. Computer technology. Television. Satellite technology. Virtual reality.

5) The Signs of World Politics -
Unification of Europe. Far Eastern military powers. Movement toward world government.

6) The Signs of Israel - Regathering of the Jews. Re-establishment of Israel. Reclamation of the land of Israel. Revival of Biblical Hebrew. Re-occupation of Jerusalem. Resurgence of the Israeli military. Re-focusing of world politics on Israel. Russian threat to Israel. Arab threat to Israel.

7) The re-focusing of world politics upon the nation of Israel. All the nations of the world, including the United States, are coming against Israel over the issue of the control of the nation's capital — the city of Jerusalem. The Vatican wants the city put under its control. The United Nations wants it to be internationalized. The European Union is demanding it be divided between the Arabs and the Jews. The Arabs want all of it.

Rabbi Backs Civil Disobedience over 'Meaningless' IDF Orders

Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, the chief rabbi of Tzfat, has publicly declared his support for civil disobedience in the face of administrative distancing orders. The military is currently able to issue distancing orders to Judea and Samaria (Shomron) residents without bringing charges against them or allowing them a hearing. While lawmakers have urged the army to use administrative orders only as a last resort, in practice, several men in Judea and Samaria have been repeatedly barred from the area in which they live without ever facing charges, or even an explanation from authorities.

Chances are you will not post this.

Why?

Why is it that throughout time it has been so difficult for people to be & do good?

Why is it big companies don't treat their servants well & yet prosper even when they don't follow the laws of G-d?

What is the purpose of this life? Are we going to continue to be punished until we learn to get along? Is it like being a parent with disobedient children from G-ds perspective? You punish a child until they learn to get along?

Why does it appear that G-d has withdrawn from leading his creation? I understand we create most, if not all, of our problems but, we need a righteous leader more than ever now. Is there anyone on this earth that knows what truth is & can lead in righteousness?

Are we not done putting the unrighteous leaders on a pedestal?

Why is a prayer for truth given an answer of NO? If 1 person prays for truth, to me, it is the most unselfish prayer. I get free will but, every soul deserves to know what truth is to be able to make the right choices.

Just asking....I know the answers are difficult.

I guess G-d thinks, if we are ok with it, then G-d's ok with it. Maybe G-d's waiting for everyone to be tired of unrighteousness. That could take several thousand more years when you really think about it.

Daniel

Russia has sided with the Shi'ites, and the West has sided with the Sunnis in the world war between them (Sunnis and Shi'ites). The various Muslim parties to this world conflict are wagging the corpse of spiritually dead materialism in the Western World. I can't say the same about Putin. Of all the clowns in the world of Edom, at least he is a professional at what he is doing. He is playing Chess while Obama, Hollande, and Cameron are playing Checkers like 9 year olds. Don't forget kapparot (Do it with money or a chicken) Rav Dov Lipman from Yeish Atid has ruled that it is an ancient pagan custom to do it with a chicken. Others beg to differ. If one has not done Tashlich yet, do it tomorrow. Eat heartily tomorrow before the fast. It is a mitzvah. There is a mitzvah to fast on Shabbat. So save electricity. Turn off the lights over the dining room table. If one refrains from using air conditioning during the summer. Set up a timer for it to at least be on on Friday night. Temps and humidity will be blazing.

Have I forgotten anything? I have run out of fingers.

“Why does it appear that G-d has withdrawn from leading his creation? I understand we create most, if not all, of our problems but, we need a righteous leader more than ever now. Is there anyone on this earth that knows what truth is & can lead in righteousness? “
Here’s the story. G-d created a World, put himself into that world, garbed it in the garments of human thought, speech, and action. That was called Man. The Snake made Him (us) forget. Moshiach (numerical value of Snale) makes us remember. This was the deepest mystery, the gateway to the true mysteries of the Rashbi, and later the Arizal.
The purpose is to have “a dwelling in the lowest realms”. In order for Hashem to have a dwelling in the lowest realm, His revelation cannot be “from Above” as He truly is, but rather through and within the Lower realms - this material world.
The Jewish Nation, through the fulfillment of Torah and Mitzvot, are the garment and “vehicle” for Hashem in this physical world, which is the most important of all worlds, the only level where anything truly exists, in all other levels everything is nullified to G-d’s Infinite Light.
Since the Sin of Tree of Knowledge, 288 sparks fell into the physical world. In the Exodus from Egypt 202 were redeemed, we were GIVEN the Torah, and Hashem’s wish for a dwellingplace was fulfilled until the next sin. But we did not RECEIVE the Torah then, it was GIVEN TO US FROM ABOVE. We received it in Purim 1,000 years later when being a Jew required self sacrifice.
Similarly, we were given Moshiach in 1991, after the remaining 86 sparks were completely refined. Really, the Rebbe actually declared it several times, all recorded, not as a well wishing of “Moshiach should walk into 770 now” (which the Rebbe said too), but that “the avodas habirurim is comlete,… we now have the supernal lights of Tohu available now, we now have the lights of Pnimyus Atik revealed because the work of the 70, the refinement of the 7 attributes is completed, and now we are all on the level of Binah – where the Mekifim of Tohy came work, Name 63 where the aparks came from…” IT’s ALL HERE>
But we were given Moshiahc (we are talking Lights and Vessels here), but not a single one received him. The Rebbe can not receive Moshiach so to speak because he is not a “tachton”, likie Moshe Rabbeinu he is bechinat “Mah”, and this is not the place…. It takes a normal person with yetzer hara, etc. any one of us. I’m working on it, close. Who am I to say I? Ani yosef, that was Yosef advantage over Yehuda’s bitul. MBY is the one that finally recveives these lights bepnimyus, he will act physically within the physical worlod, getting more people to understand all the answers. Internalize them.
Don’t worry about getting along, worry about understanding what I say, then you will see everything is getting along wonderfully without you making any effort, it is harmonious and natural.

Dov, stop thinking about yourself so much. "busiest week for me" means that Hashem is nowhere chas veshalom. It's not mussar, I am taking advantage of an opportunity to teach what the 10 Days are all about - doing everything with the greatest ease. Sleeping 30 minutes a night and not being tired. It starts with not feeling that anyhtinbg we do is actually us doing. Yes, I am telling you to act like the Rebbe. That's only the beginning.

Well my wife is organizing a Sukkah hop. Israelis find American customs amusing. Sukkah hop?? going from Sukkah to sukkah, eating mazonot, and saying leishev B'Sukkah at each sukkah followed by divrei Torah and a brachah acharonah. Amusing. If we lived in China, the bamboo mats that we use for S'chach here would not be valid s'chach in China because the Chinese sit on bamboo mats. So much for the Kingdom of the East.

Don't forget Avinu Malkeinu in the morning on Friday. Because Yom Kippur falls on Shabbat, there will be no Avinu Malkeinu at Shacharit or Mincha on Yom Kippur Day. There will only be Avinu Malkienu at Ne'ilah.

Don't forget your kittel and non-leather shoes. It is NOT a day of mourning like Tisha B'Av. We are like angels on Yom Kippur so that all of our physical needs are suppressed. As holy as Yom Kippur is, it is not our holiest state or plateau. On Shabbat when we experience a taste of Olam HaBa as human beings we are at a holier height.

China Arms the Worst Threats to the West - Western intelligence agents believe China, along with Russia and Germany, supplied Saddam Hussein of Iraq with the technology to develop chemical and biological weapons that threatened the allies during the Gulf War. The Chinese provided antiaircraft and air defense systems as well. Recently, China agreed to develop oil fields in southern Iraq. Syria likewise buys a steady stream of Chinese arms. It seems that any enemy of the West, and particularly of the US, is given the most liberal of terms for any weapon in the Sino arsenal.

When Israel was in the process of bombing Hezbollah in Lebanon in 2006, a missile struck a naval ship which was Chinese made causing quite a stir a the US had been warning about such things.

Sensitive guidance equipment for the Chinese made M -11 surface-to-surface missile was included in one recent shipment. Suspicions are high that Chinese equipment may be involved in an underground chemical biological weapons factory outside Damascus. It's no secret why China is deeply involved in Middle East trade. It needs oil. China is developing faster than any other country in the world and oil is still the lifeblood of industry. Although China has vast oil reserves itself, it has been difficult to exploit them.

From Nuisance to Lethal Troublemaker - And, not coincidentally, China has some new friends in the Middle East. China is now a major supplier of arms to Iran, establishing the major link between the pre-eminent Asian power and the Middle East that students of Bible prophecy have long expected. China has sold Iran approximately 3 billion in weapons over the past several years (this was written in 1997) and helped Iran to build its own missiles, helicopters and artillery, according to Western intelligence sources. But that's nothing compared to the 4.5 billion arms deal recently signed between the two countries. In addition, China has agreed to build two 300 megawatt nuclear power plants that will be operational in about 7 years.

China has also sold Iran 400 tons of chemical agents, giving it the largest chemical weapons stockpile of any undeveloped nation in the world. Such agents could be used in warheads atop Chinese made surface to surface missiles that Iran has ominously placed along the Strait of Hormuz - you know, that narrow exit from the Persian Gulf through which 1/5 of the world's oil supply passes in vulnerable supertanker ships.

This shipment was also reported to contain the new deadliest biological agent known to man, it has no antidote. It was created by Russian scientists who genetically engineered a strain of lethal anthrax into the most lethal agent on earth. The smallest molecule of its powdered delivery form applied to the skin brings a certain, agonizing death. The reactors could be used to build nuclear weapons. Does the fact that Iran is almost nuclear worry anyone??

So Yom Kippur is over. G'mar tov. Apparently the US and Russia have signed an agreement to disarm Syria of its chemical weapons. Things are moving at lightning speed. They will soon sign an agreement to come after us or to engage in some joint force to either divest Israel of its nuclear weapons and to shove a PA State down our throat. But it is 5774, and now we have a new Judgement on the World.

Sin in ancient times was a Canaanite nation. The verse that Me'ir quotes from Yishayahu 49 seems to imply that the Land of Sin is either in the Far East or South because it mentions the far north and west earlier in the verse. So by process of elimination, Yishayahu is most assuredly referring to the nation of China in the Far East. Yet, the verse is one of peace not war and seems to refer to the in-gathering of exiles. So while China as Sin is mentioned in the Book of Yishayahu, it is a Messianic prophesy of the ingathering of the exiles. This does not exclude China (Sin) from coming against Israel. Such an invasion is simply not mentioned in prophesy unless one assumes that China is one of the possessions of the Bnai Magog. The Mongols (Magog) scaled the Great Wall of China and conquered China about 900 years ago. The Wall had kept them at bay for 1000 years, but it eventually failed in its purpose. so much for separation walls and fences. They eventually fail in their purpose. Yet, the Chinese might beg to differ with a claim that they are a Mongol nation. Yet, strangely all the Jews of ancient origin in China are extinct now (unless someone knows differently). The Jews in Hong Kong are of fairly modern origin.

The Kaifeng community in China is way too assimilated and intermarried to be considered a Jewish community today. I don't know how that prophesy of Yishayahu will be fulfilled unless it is speaking about the Mir Yeshivah and other refugees from the Shoah who lived in Shanghai.

Dov the Kaifeng community is being restored today. Many descendants of the original group are reclaiming their Jewishness. Some are undergoing conversion and making aliyah. There is a community now of about 1,000 descendants who are restoring their Jewish tradition and faith. Shavei Israel is assisting in this process. See this Aish article: http://www.aish.com/jw/s/48937262.html

So, perhaps the prophecy can be fulfilled from Kaifeng after all.

Would the United States Go to War Against Israel?

Former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense and conservative pundit Frank Gaffney imagines the following scenario:

It begins with the Palestinian Authority seeking a UN Security Council resolution that would recognize its unilateral declaration of statehood. The U.S. Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice, one of the prime movers behind the resolution that authorized the use of force against Qaddafi, and a vehement critic of Israel, urges that the United States abstain, rather than veto the Palestinians’ gambit. She is joined in that recommendation by a kindred spirit at the Obama National Security Council, Senior Director for Multilateral Affairs Samantha Power, and by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, whose unalloyed sympathy for the Palestinian cause dates back at least to her days as First Lady.

This resolution enjoys the support of the other four veto-wielding Security Council members--Russia, China, Britain and France--as well as the all of the other non-permanent members except India, which joins the United States in abstaining. As a result, it is adopted with overwhelming support from what is known as the “international community.”

Yes, Samkel Power will likely abstain in a resolution calling for the use of force to enforce Palestine. She, on the other hand, will author a resolution that the imposed border with Israel will be the Auschwitz border with agreed land swaps. The US will now vote FOR such a resolution.

Sound scary? Conservative blogger Ed Lasky points out that part of this scenario has already come about.

I have been warning the last few days that Barack Obama's endorsement of the trendy Responsibility to Protect Doctrine (R2P) was opening a Pandora's Box and could be used by groups to attack Israel. Yesterday we had Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister calling on the world to bomb Israel to protect Palestinian civilians (since the UN, the Arab League, and Barack Obama have validated this approach to protect civilians in Libya). Today, R2P is now being used by the Palestinians to pressure Israel.

Yes, indeed Dov, things are accelerating. Thus we ask ourselves, what does the "new Judgment" of 5774 contain for Am Yisroel? How will we develop internally, unit or split, build on strength or weaken by fright? And what will be the external events, will H' intervene in the anticipated action of the “international community” against Am Yisroel, the State of Israel, and Eretz Yisroel?

Secretary of State John Kerry coming to Israel today!

Who is this guy and what does he want to achieve?

Barack Hussein Obama's Secretary of State John Kerry is an anti-Semite and an enemy of Israel for a reason: his father was a self-hating Jew who changed his name from Cohen to Kerry and who pretended to be an Irish Catholic. His father also intermarried, meaning that Kerry is not Jewish because his mother was not Jewish. But Kerry knows that the world still views him as "half Jewish" and he wants to eliminate that half as desperately as his father did. So Kerry is now working with Obama to pressure tiny Israel to commit national suicide.

John Kerry's Jewish Roots

The discovery of Kerry’s European Jewish roots has surprised many people, including the senator himself.

Benedikt Kohn (Great-Grandfather)

Benedikt Kohn, the great-grandfather of Senator John Kerry, was born about 1824 in southern Moravia. Benedikt was successful as a master brewer of beer.

In 1868, after the death of his first wife, he moved to Bennisch (today called Horni Benesov) and married Mathilde Frankel Kohn. Benedikt and Mathilde Kohn were two of the only 27 Jews living in Bennisch, which is listed as having a total population of 4,200, in 1880.

Soon after Benedikt died in 1876, Mathilde moved to Vienna with her children Ida (7), Friedrich "Fritz" (3) and Otto (newborn).

Fritz Kohn/Fred Kerry (Grandfather)

Fritz and Otto excelled in their studies in Vienna. However, like other Jews, they suffered greatly from the anti-Semitism that prevailed in Europe at this time. As a result, both Kohn brothers abandoned their Jewish heritage and converted to Roman Catholicism.

In addition, in 1897, Otto decided to shed the Jewish-sounding name of Kohn. He chose a new name by dropping a pencil on a map. The pencil landed on Ireland's County Kerry. In 1901, Fritz followed his brother’s example and officially changed his name to Frederick Kerry.

Fred, who worked as an accountant at his uncle's shoe factory, married Ida Loewe, a Jewish musician from Budapest. Ida was a descendant of Sinai Loew, a brother of Rabbi Judah Loew, the famous Kabbalist, philosopher and Talmudist known as the "Maharal of Prague" who some say invented the character of the Golem. Two of Ida's siblings, Otto Loewe and Jenni Loewe, were killed in Nazi concentration camps.

Fred, Ida and their first son Erich were all baptized as Catholics. And in 1905, the young family immigrated to America. After entering through Ellis Island, the family first lived in Chicago and then settled in Boston. Fred and Ida had two more children in America, Mildred (1910) and Richard (1915).

Fred and Ida and their three children lived in Brookline, where Fred became a prominent man in the shoe business and regularly attended Sunday Catholic church services. Fred did not tell and no one would have guessed that the family had Jewish roots.

In 1921, Fred Kerry, at age 48, entered a Boston hotel and shot himself in the head. Some say the suicide was due to financial stress or depression. Perhaps the transition from Czech Jew to American Catholic was too great and unsupported a spiritual, psychological and social change.

Richard Kerry (Father)

Richard was six years old when his father committed suicide. It has been said that he dealt with the tragedy by ignoring it. Richard attended Phillips Academy, Yale University and Harvard Law School. After serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps, Kerry worked in the U.S. Department of State and later the Foreign Service.

He married Rosemary Forbes, the beneficiary of the Forbes family trusts. The Forbes family amassed a huge fortune in China trade.

Richard and Rosemary had four children: Margery (1941), John (1943), Diana (1947) and Cameron (1950). John, a Massachusetts Senator, is the 2004 Democratic Nominee for President. Cameron, who married a Jewish woman and converted to Judaism in 1983, is a prominent Boston lawyer.

Russia is following in the footsteps of Germany before the second World War. National pride and the memory of the empire they once had is now compelling them to rebuild a strong military under an authoritative leader. Putin stepped aside as President for a few years and took the number two position but at the next election he will almost certainly become president of Russia until the time of the Ezekiel war. Putin is gaining more power all the time and he has specifically stated that his primary goal is to bring Russia to world superpower status again.

If we assume that it will take Russia about 10 to 15 years to accomplish the reestablishment of a first class military, it probably is no coincidence that the same amount of time is needed for the Arab/Islamic block to become a real nuclear military threat to Israel.

They will indeed join forces in this battle when Russia invades Israel as Ezekiel prophesied over twenty-five hundred years ago. All indications are that the battle against Israel that is described in Ezekiel 38 and 39, and the supernatural defeat of these forces by G'd will take place in this generation.

China

China the sleeping giant awakes in this generation and is on a military and economic course that will make her a world superpower by 2020. Recent stolen nuclear secrets from the United States, the trade imbalances and the ten percent growth rate in the economy of China each year makes this certain. Relations between China and the West are deteriorating over Taiwan and ideology. China will become much more dependent on Middle-East oil as it industrializes and its own supply dwindles (oil). Larger than expected purchases of oil by China is the chief reason for the recent run up in world oil prices. China will march to the Middle-East to secure these oil fields if necessary. China also has security pacts with Islamic nations that could bring her into an East-West conflict.

According to the 2000 CIA report, the military fit males in China alone now already exceed 200,000,000. China's one child policy will create a surplus of at least 50,000,000 men by 2035. China will soon have the largest gross domestic output in the world to fund their military. Today this funding of their military is growing at a rate of 20 percent per year.

Because of the one child policy China has a demographic time bomb that will shut down internal growth and make it impossible for the minority young to support the majority old by 2030.

There are now more than three billion people in China, India, Pakistan and Southeast Asia. This area of the world now contains one-half of the population of the earth.

China, and also India, has a huge surplus of men. Other nations in this region also will have many surplus males. The surplus of men in this region means that many males will never have the possibility of marriage or to have a family of their own. The civil disruptions this will cause will make its leaders more than willing to sacrifice these males in war to achieve military objectives to try to maintain the standard of living for the old.

The American publication “Bulletin of the Atomic Scientst”, which reviews the existing nuclear arsenal world-wide, has reported that Israel presently has 80 fully operational nuclear warheads, with the capabilities of producing up to 190.

The magazine published an article called “Global Nuclear Inventory, 1945-2013”, wherein they reported that since World War II’s end there have been approximately 125,000 nuclear warheads made, of which 97% were produced by the U.S. and the Soviet Union. Moshe Feiglin: "Since I am not aware of any such government decision since 1967 to grant control over the Mount to the Waqf, I request that you supply me with a copy [of the decision," he retorted.

'Feiglin went on to point out that - far from deciding to hand the site over the Muslim authorities - a number of ministerial committees clearly stated that the opposite was true.

'He cited a statement from 1968 by Israeli cabinet minister Yaakov Shapira, in which he explicitly says that: "We [the government - ed.] never announced that the Temple Mount belonged exclusively to the Arabs. We did not announce that it was forbidden for Jews to pray there, [and] we did not announce that it was forbidden for Jews to erect a synagogue there."
