Part 2: The Death of Sheker HaChein, the Spirit of St. Louis

I wrote this for Shabbat Parshat Chukat in 5773 slightly less than a year and a half ago:

In 1242 in the streets of Paris, France on the Friday before Parshat Chukat, 24 cartloads of Talmuds were burnt in a wild conflagration of flames decreed by one of the 365 Principle Saints of the Roman Catholic Church.  His name was Louis IXth, King of France also known as St. Louis.  Forty days earlier on the exact same spot at the urging of the Jews of France, copies of the RaMBaM's works Sefer HaMada (The Book of Science) and Guide for the Perplexed (Moreh Nevuchim) were burnt.  Apparently the Jews of 13th Century France had a serious problem with the confluence between Torah and Science and Aristotelian logic being used to prove the existence of G-d.  The Rambam (Moshe Maimonides) was known in both spheres to the consternation of many.  So they had the Catholic Church burn his books.  Forty days later on Erev Shabbat Parshat Chukat, all the Talmuds in France with rare hand-written Tosefot in the margins were burned on the exact same spot.  So for burning the books of the Rambam, the greatest logical sage and codifier of Jewish Law since Moshe Rabbeinu, G-d looked down from Heaven and said Zot Chukat haTorah, and the Jewish community of France was destroyed for hundreds of years without one drop of blood being spilled.  You see, it was only the Talmud that was burned that day.  Read Kinah 41 from your Tisha B'Av Machzor.  I did it several times sitting in the shadow of the St. Louis Art Museum at the same spot that Scott Joplin played the "The Cascades" on the promenade for the 1904 Worlds Fair.  (Some say that he only performed on The Pike at the Worlds Fair because he was a black man.  I will have to check with the MO Historical Society.  But the song "The Cascades" was about the waterfall that flowed from where the statue of St. Louis sits today.)  Right next to the 110 year old promenade, there is a statue to the Talmud burner himself, sitting on a horse sitting in front of the Art Museum....A fitting climax to a dying city.  Before the city (St. Louis) built that statue of the Talmud burner whose name it bears, it knew no pitfalls.  From the moment that that statue graced the the 1904 World's fairgrounds of Forest Park, it was downhill from there.  Such is the fate of those who curse G-d's chosen and burn His precious library of books.  It is kind of funny how the Catholic University in town, St. Louis University, has a Talmudic Law section in their School of Law.  jokes on us I guess, or Louis the IXth is turning over in his grave.

I grew up in S. Louis, and I happen to know a lot of very deep stuff about the Spirit of St. Louis from my personal experiences, living there almost all of the first 43 years of my life. I understand why the collapse of American Civilization as we have all known it for most of our lives, and for the last 238 years, had to begin in St. Louis at the precise moment that the Vav is being attached to HaShem's Name in the World of Yetzirah from Tisha B'Av until the 24th of Elul, 5774.  The shooting death of Michael Brown occurred on the 13th of Av. It has to do with the Death of Sheker HaChein which is the true spirit of St. Louis (both the city and the 13th century Talmud burner after whom the city is named).  Here is a chart which talks about the Filling of the Four Universes.  Notice that the universe of Yetzirah in the year of our Redemption is filled between the 10th of Av and the 24th of Elul.  I discussed why 5774 was that year that the Vav was attached in the Comments section of the previous post and in several other posts on this blog in the past year.

Yes, it is Midah keNeged Mida, but it is a lot, lot more. It is the beginning of the end of using "popularity" as an international religion to beat our unacceptance by Mankind over our heads. That "dark" religion has ancient and Medieval lords and ladies who practiced it like a Stradivarius. The principle Medieval practitioner was King Louis the IXth of France who never spilled Jewish blood, but used a form of psychological warfare against Klal Yisrael in France.  He recognized that the tenacious hold of the minority Jewish people to her Torah lay in the learning of the Oral Torah because only Israel learned the Oral Torah and lived by it.  It is our attachment to Sinai explaining all that might be inexplicable in the Written Torah alone.  It is what makes us distinct from the Xtian world since the Oral Torah was never translated into Greek for the World to learn.  By burning 24 cartloads of our precious Talmuds, he then could press on with a "popularity" campaign to get all the Jews in France to convert to Roman Catholicism in order to be loved by all. King Louie "loved" us so much while hating Judaism so much, that whenever he caught a Jewish fish in his net, he was the star guest at that Jew's conversion to that oh so popular religion of that time. Nothing has really changed so much since that time 800 years ago. The Catholic Church in St. Louis did the same with every Jew who moved there in the 19th Century.  It is in the credo for the St. Louis Old Cathedral in downtown St. Louis, to follow in the path of their patron saint, King Louis IXth of France which would mean to show love to every Jew who chose to abandon his Holy Torah for the faith in the Church and its mangod.  In order to cement its mission in 1834, a Jewish architect was commissioned to design the portico over the entrance to the New Church being constructed on Church property.  Bishop Rosati, St. Louis, Missouri's first bishop, wanted to let future Jewish residents know that they had a home in the Church.  So he wanted Yud Key Vav Key in Hebrew carved in stone over the entrance to the Church along with some gobblety gook about a triune god.  The Jewish architect knew that he could not put the Name of HaShem on a Church to welcome Jews to shmad themselves by worshiping a triune god.  So he filled in the Heys and made them Chets.  So instead of Yud and then Hey and then Vav Hey above the portico, to this very day one finds Yud Chet Vav Chet.   That was a link.

Now here is the kicker.  The riots really started on the 13th of Av 5774 right after the final attachment of the Vav in HaShem's Name began to be manifest in Olam HaYetzirah according to the chart of the Arizal (link above) on the 10th of Av.  Keep in mind since the Vav represents the emotional Sefirot of absolute Emeth in the world, it is the emotional sefirot of Sheker of Charm that needed and would be subsequently destroyed.  The destruction began in Ferguson, Missouri.  Why of all of St. Louis's suburbs would this process of destruction begin in Ferguson?  In order to understand this, you have to know migration patterns of various ethnic groups as they left the inner core of the City of St. Louis itself.  The Jews for instance started out in West slightly northwest City and went due west all the way out to the West County suburbs of University City, Olivette, Ladue, Creve Coeur, Chesterfield and beyond.  As Jews assimilated into the non-Jewish population, they moved into Ballwin and a bunch of other West County suburbs.  The German ethnics started out in South St. Louis and they by and large migrated toward the south to Oakville and into the Lindbergh School District in Southwest County in places like Mehlville and Sunset Hills.  Now how about the original French Catholic founders.  Where did they eventually run away to in their mad dash toward white flight?  Well they went and founded their own suburbs.  Normandy and most notably Florissant in far North St. Louis County.  Note: Florissant is actually a really old suburb becasue like St. Louis it was founded in the 18th Century too.  Florissant today probably has greater percentage of Catholics than most places in St. Louis and represents the Chein of French Catholic migration out of the city because it is the far northern suburb in North St. Louis County.  Chein is usually external, and the Sheker is that it really represents the internal core of a person.   So the streets leading from the City of St. Louis to the beautiful French Catholic city of Florissant represent that inner core.  The main street that stretches all the way from the City of St. Louis to Florissant is West Florissant Road.  There is another street named Florissant Road that gets it start in the City of Normandy off Natural Bridge Road, but it does not stretch all the way from the City of St. Louis itself.  West Florissant Road therefore connects the inner core of the City of St. Louis with its shiny suburb of Florissant at its northern end.  Right in the middle amongst all the devastation of all the rioting is Ferguson, Missouri.  Here is the general map of the area on Google Maps.  Now you think this through, and you tell me what is being judged here.

Here are some more associated thoughts on how the modern St. Louis Metro Area represents the idea of Sheker HaChein that I have posted in the Comments sections of other posts:
1.  And alas at what time in one's life is Popularity a god to every person who goes through that rite of passage. Well if one goes to a public or even secular private high school, that is the time in one's life where there is absolutely nothing more important than "Popularity". There is an old joke about St. Louis that St. Louisans like to tell. When you go to a party in St. Louis, what is the first question that a stranger might ask you in order to get to know you? "What High School did you go to?" What an odd question! Have you ever heard such a thing before, such a quirk about a major American city? It is because no one ever leaves that "popularity" scene in St. Louis. It imbues the lives of all who live there with a falsity of what is really important leaving a dark, empty core that is never filled.

As I just wrote a friend who still lives there: The Spirit of St. Louis is to be like a high school cheerleader, popular with adoring fans. It is why wherever you go the first question you are asked is, "What High School did you go to?" During the course of one's life, high school is the place that Popularity is a god more than any other time in one's life. It is the Falsehood of Charm. Charming, Popular and Vain on the outside with a dark empty core. I guess that Obamanation's movement where the rampaging "natives" start to takeover the country had to start right there. So bizarre, but it turns out that St. Louis is that place.

2. It is also why Chassidut can't get a foot in the door in St. Louis. The feminine side of the evil inclination (the yetzer hara) is too strong in St. Louis to allow for the feminine side of the yetzer hatov (Chassidut) to even have a foothold. So the only form of Torah that makes it in St. Louis is the Litwak, more masculine form (Aish HaTorah, Rav Schach, etc.). The Lubavitcher Rebbe saw this, and he never sent a powerhouse Shaliach to St. Louis seeing that sowing the seeds of Chabad Chassidut in St. Louis is really a waste of time.  This does not mean that there is not a wonderful Chabad Rabbi in St. Louis.  There is, but in a metro area where there were once 60,000 Jews, why was it when I left at least so difficult to get a minyan at the Chabad House on Shabbat when the Agudath Israel next door and the Young Israel across the street were burgeoning at the seams?  It is because the feminine side of the yetzer hara is so strong in the St. Louis area, that only the masculine side of the yetzer hatov can flourish.

3. There was a great playwright from St. Louis. His name was Tennessee Williams. He wrote a hallmark play called, The Glass Menagerie.

It is worth watching in order to have a deeper insight of this phenomenon of popularity as a god. As a St. Louisan himself he had a deep appreciation of this sickness in this semi-autobiographical play. What is fascinating about the play from a Jewish perspective is that the gentleman caller (Kirk Douglass in this version with Laura's part played by Jane Wyman) was voted "most likely to succeed" at Soldan High School in the play. Any Jew from S. Louis will tell you that before University City High School being the center of Jewish life in St.Louis, Soldan High School in the Carey Patch neighborhood of West/Northwest St. Louis was where all the Jews went to high school,...including my own father who graduated from Soldan in the graduating class of 1941.

To paraphrase Laura's mother in the play:  "Way back down in Jackson, MS as a young lady growing up I once had 18 gentleman callers in one evening while at a summer party."  You see, Laura in the play is not pre-disposed to having any gentleman callers whatsoever, but because her mother was obsessed with her own popularity as a young debutante, she was obsessed with the popularity of her own daughter.  That drove Tom (Tennessee Williams) crazy and out of St. Louis at the end of the play.

Again, the point of all these examples is NOT for the purpose of bashing St. Louis in its hour of distress.  It is to show why the destruction in Ferguson is a spiritually global event for the End of Days.  With the attachment of the Vav in HaShem's Name to the Yud and the Key during this past Av, the process of destruction of Sheker HaChein could begin to be accomplished.  The destruction of this "collective" yetzer hara which causes billions of people to go astray because of the "good feeling" that being part of a popular movement gives them must continue to proceed in order for Mashiach ben David to finally come in 5776.  In the present world, Sheker is very popular.  In Yemot HaMashiach only the Truth will be popular.

Dov,
It is interesting to note that the burning down of St. Louis started just a few days after the Yahrzeit of Rabbeinu Yonah Gerondi (28 Cheshvan), who was one of those who requested the church to burn the Rambam's books, and afterwards realized his error and did profound Teshuva (resulting in his writing the Shaarei Teshuva).

Btw, what is the source for the definition of Chassidut as the feminine side of the yetzer hatov?

One of many sources is Rav Pinchus Winston who discusses why the Birth of Chassidut corresponded with the 7th hour of the 6th Millennium if the 6th day of Creation is divided into 12 hours and not 24 hours. In the 7th hour of the 6th day of Creation, HaShem Elokim took a rib from Adam and made Woman. But there are many other sources.

The beginning of the 7th hour of 12 was in the year 5501 or 1740 when the Ba'al Shem Tov began to spread the wellsprings of Chassidut.

Dov, I have taken in what you have written here and will reread.as.I often do. One thing, however influenced me to shake my head in acknowledgement: the question about which high school you went to.
I was born in Creve Coeur and lived in both Kirkwood and U-City.
I have heard and been asked that question and have thought, "Who cares where you went to high school?"
The whole popularity thing.goes back to my.mom's time in high school, too. She.went to U-City high school in the 50's. Same thing then. My father? Same.thing...I.just.find it interesting and eye opening to see.your perspective on it.
It actually places a spiritual understanding and closure on it...
I know I am also beating a dead horse on this, yet, man, in Ferguson they are not looking for truth....what they are loo for is the farthest thing from the truth.

Yes, they are coming for us!!!

The Arab League on Saturday backed Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's plan to seek UN endorsement for a timetable for declaring an independent state, and rejected recognizing Israel as a Jewish nation, AFP reports Saturday.

Arab League agrees to present draft resolution calling for Israeli withdrawal by November 2016; France, UK, Germany working on separate resolution to end conflict, to be accelerated if Palestinians put draft forward.

Leah: On Black Friday, these "protesters" closed three of the largest malls in the St. Louis area: The Galleria in Richmond Hts., West County Mall in Des Peres, and Chesterfield Mall. They lay down on the middle of the Mall floor closing all the businesses. None of these malls is even near Ferguson. I hear that there were other major disruptions on the West Coast. I don't know exactly where this will lead next.

I can only pray that we here is Israel get the Chein for Emeth HaChein to replace the Sheker HaChein on Chanukah since Chanukah is Chein Kaf Hey where Chein falls on the 25th of Kislev.

Reb Dov,

I thought you would like to know that I presented these two parts of Sheker haChein for our Erev Shabbat dinner with a guest, including printouts of the visuals you linked to (I'm sure you wouldn't expect anyone to show The Glass Menagerie movie, though. Brings back high school memories for me; we studied that play. :) Somehow it passed me by - or maybe I just didn't remember - that Tennessee Williams was from St. Louis.); I even included a map of greater SL since none of us are from there. My husband and guest both appreciated the connections between St. Louis the city and King Louis IX and even the Jewish high school in The Glass Menagerie.

Hubby made a connection between the song that starts "Meet me at St. Louie, Louie, meet me at the fair" and the 1904 Worlds Fair. We didn't realize that this might have been the reference.

He especially appreciated what you had to say about the RamBam's works Sefer haMada and Morei Nevuchim. He now works with kindred spirits of the 13th C. Jews who had a problem with the Torah-science connection, and he takes time whenever he can to be with, and learn from, people who appreciate it.

We had a question for you:

Around 2000-2001 my husband and I met a young woman, a student at the University of Pennsylvania, originally from St. Louis, who told us that she came from a large Sephardic community there. What do you know about that? Does it also fit the masculine paradigm you wrote about, or is it different?

Many thanks. And one more question: Will there be more parts to this hiddush?

I will be honest, CDG, I do know Sephardim in St. Louis. I even know a Teimani individual, but I don't know of any Sephardic Beit Knesset there. As a matter of fact, I can state with certainty that there was no Eidut HaMizrach minyan in the St. Louis area from the mid 1980s until when I left 11 years ago. I know of all the minyanim there, and I have lists of all the shuls because of the work that I did in St. Louis from the early 1990s.

The reason for the schism in the Ashkenazic world did not exist in the Sephardic world. It got so bad in Eastern Europe from all the pogroms and the bloodshed that Rabbanim declared that "we" eastern European Jews have to learn to bury our pain so that we would stop craving false Messiahs. After the hysteria surrounding Shabtai Tzvi, some Rabbanim thought that this was necessary in order to protect the Torah community from a repeat after the next massacre perpetrated by Eastern European Xtians. Chassidut, in part, came down as a tikkun for this excessive reaction. What worked for about 40% of European Jewry to close down their nefesh behamit, did not work for the 60% who could not live productive lives by "burying their pain" in order to avoid false Messianic fervor. I don't think that as bad as it got in North Africa, it ever got that bad. Correct me if I am wrong, but Jewish life in Bessarabia (Rumanian, Moldavian, Ukrainian border) was a hellhole with no comparison in the Muslim world.

I should note that most of the Chelminitzky massacres were in Poland and the Ukraine. Up to 650,000 Jews were murdered, bodies decapitated, infants tossed into streams. I really don't want to chronicle the mini-Shoah of Tach veTat. Others have come before to do just that. Plus thinking about the bloodshed because it was so massive prevents me from functioning. I am having difficulty mourning the intensity of the suffering since it is too overwhelming. I would rather write about Geulah. Believe it or not, I understand why the Litwak Rabbis ruled about burying pain as they did. The explosion of false messianism that followed was dangerous, especially because they named an individual. Yet, I hold with the Chassidim. There are now 6 million Jews in Eretz Yisrael. We have moved far beyond where we were in 1648, thank G-d.

Reb Dov Bear,

I am so sorry to have opened the wound again. I had not meant to. But, since you sort of asked...I will do the best I can.

Please, don't forget, HaShem is counting the suffering on the part of ALL JEWS. He knows it all, even if we don't.

It seems Muslims like to get close to people for a while and become trusted before they strike. That's when their prey is in power and they would otherwise not have access to him, as recent events show. When they themselves are in power, as they were for a couple millennia or so, with Jews in their midst, might have been quite a different story, which the Mizrahim know best.

I cannot tell what really happened because I neither speak nor read Arabic, a very important tool that would help me learn what really happened in the Middle East "behind closed doors," so to speak. I have had a chilling feeling for many years that if MEMRI would get access to historical Arabic documents and translate them, who knows what they would find - likely much more than we know now.

And, there are the works of Bat Yeor and others. A good blog that would help is Point of No Return.

Consider: Jews lived in the Middle East at least as long as in Europe; so, ask yourself why only 2 million Jews were counted after WWII and only half of them made it out of there alive, whereas the Ashkenazim could still count 12 million, even after all the horror of the Holocaust. I think you would find that Mizrahi suffering is different and maybe harder to recognize; nevertheless it is there.

Honestly, Dov, I don't think Ashkenazim have learned yet how to deal with an enemy that can be nice to your face one minute and stab you in the back the next, having been your friend or coworker for years. Europeans aren't like that: They come out and call people dirty Jews and Christ-killers, beat them senseless on the street and rob them, and worse. They deny those they hate, especially Jews, any nicety they can, every chance they get. Especially when they get drunk.

So, I don't understand why I recently read about Israelis who wanted recently to go down and live in Berlin (calling it aliyah, no less). A number of years ago Mizrahim from America refused an offer from one of the ME countries to return, posting a full-page reply in the NY Times: INVITATION DECLINED, with a picture of Jews hanging in the town square from decades ago. I find that more appropriate. I don't think Spain got too many takers, either.

But I think Ashkenazi religious Jews on the Extreme West Side of Jerusalem - not soldiers, not denizens on the "other" side of the "Green Line" - just got a taste of the muslim treatment when it was least expected. Do you think that was any better than in Europe? Do you believe what "they" say about Muslimes treating us better than Xians?

I wouldn't be so sure, after what happened in Har Nof. And I hope the denizens of Ferguson, MO would take the hint too. They're being encouraged by the same type of people.

Blessings to you and your family (healing to Leah Chana bat Esther Zipporah).

Shavua tov.

Actually CDG, I have wondered about that, that there were only 2 million Mizrahi Jews in the world in 1948. I always wondered why that figure was rather low. I knew the assimilation of Jews in Muslim countries was at a rather low rate. There should have been over 20 million Mizrahi Jews in the world at that time. It does point to massive pogroms that never were reported anywhere, doesn't it?

Good night.

We know the nature of Muslims. Mizrachi Jews were being slaughtered and disposed of quietly as the pogoms were being implemented in Europe. This means there are countless unmarked graves. I have a friend who is close to 80 who lived in Iraq when he was a child. The stories he told of massive mobs of enraged Iraqis attacking and destroying as they moved down the street are terrifying.. Whenever they got inflamed it was taken out on the Jews.

Can someone PLEASE explain how Moshiach Ben David receives the YUD to his name? Will he make a covenant? What is the difference between those in the past who received Heis to their name as opposed to those who received Yud. IIRC - only Yehoshua Ben Nun received a YUD and only Yitro received a VAV. Sarah and Abraham both Heis. Can anyone offer an explanation?

We are called Ivriim (Hebrews), because we inherited that legacy of Abraham. We are a lonely people, persecuted throughout most of history.

Generation after generation tried to convince us we are wrong. Sometimes those efforts appeared polite and more often they were accompanied by the sword. To be a Jew historically meant trouble. It meant exclusion from guilds, second class citizenship at best, and being the scapegoat for society's problems. We must realize that the hatred of the nations of the world stems from the fact that we are different. Others view us as the “ugly duckling” amongst the nations.

There is very little we can do to change the attitude of the nations of the world. All the various “isms” that well-meaning Jews created to make us more popular, or to give us equal status with the other nations, have failed. We are a nation of Ivriim. We stand alone. Empires have risen and fallen, and the laws of nature would have had the same happen to us, but we're still here. We remained and remain to this day apart and unique in our faith and customs. We maintain our national language and distinct identity, and despite our small numbers, have persevered in a way that no other people have or could have. Let us live up to our name -- even if means being an Ivri when we find ourselves on the other side of public opinion. Whether consciously or unconsciously, that is what the world expects from the chosen people.

Answer to one question: I believe that Mashiach ben David can show up to rule as early as Sukkot 5776 or as late as Pesach 5776. Abbas today outlined his timetable for Pal. Statehood. He wants his state no later than Nov. 2016. I am sure that he has outlined his timing with Obama and the EU on what is doable. So the window for going about the business of dividing Eretz Yisrael must precede that date. That is the timeframe just looking at it within the teva of passing a resolution or a few resolutions in the UN Sec. Council and finding various ways to force this/these resolution(s) on Israel.

Re Jewish life in Muslim countries, I can't offer a whole lot of info off the cuff. But I would point out that somewhat over 300 years ago [and therefore not a "reaction" to modern Zionism] the Muslim rulers of Yemen perpetrated a form of internal exile on Teimani Jews. This internal exile -- known as the Gerush Mauza' -- was carried out under conditions so severe that, in the space of about one year, THREE-FOURTHs of all the Jews in Yemen died. Hitler yemach sh'mo v'zichro would've envied such a record.

Yes, it is madhim (amazing), but I am not sure that I would spell the letter Tav with a Yud. The word tav which means "mark" or "tab" is spelled Tav Vav without a yud in between them. Sorry to burst a bubble, but I will flow with it anyway.

Neshama: It is common in a Parliamentary democracy for parties in the Opposition to write legislation calling for the dissolution of the Govt. when that Govt. is formed without them. It is almost expected that they would do that. As far as Rivlin is concerned, I know that Bibi dislikes him intensely, and apparently feelings are mutual. Would that lead to a wild gambit by Ruby after new elections? Time will tell. Given the acrimony, it is possible. I can't see him asking Kachlon who will get around 8 to 10 seats, but asking Bennett to form a Govt. instead of Bibi if Bennett gets at least 20 seats is possible. Feiglin can't form a govt. unless he wins the Likud Primaries. With Danon running, I don't think that helps Feiglin's electoral chances unless Danon withdraws before the day of the Primaries. That has happened before.

As far as 5775 being 5776 Motzei Shmittah year or the year before a Shmittah year, that is highly unlikely. HaShem made it clear that the end of the Gog ben Gog Bush Jr. Shmittah cycle ended on Rosh HaShanah 5769. The last day of the Shmittah year 5768 was the 29th of Elul which was the 29th of September, 2008. On that very day on the last day of 5768, there was a major wealth extinction on the NYSE, when the Dow Jones Indstrial Avg. fell exactly 777 points. It was one of the largest point drops in history. I believe that that is a definitive Asmachta that the Shmittah cycle ended precisely at that moment in time, and that the next Shmittah cycle will end on the 29th of Elul 5775. Good nite.

A 777 pt. drop in the NYSE Dow Jones Indus.Avg. on the very last day of the Shmittah year is a leap and a bound more awesome than all the calculations in that Youtube video. Think of all the subtle coincidences that would have to come together for that massive drop of 3 sevens to occur mamash on the last day of the Shmittah year aka Shevi'it which means 7th!!

Well, just to drive home the point or the 777 points, Here it is.

Notice the reference in this article to the drop after Sept. 11, 2001 which was exactly one week before the end of the previous Shmittah cycle which ended at the end of 5761. These massive stock market drops were like bookends to delineate the beginning and the end of the Gog W. ben Gog Bush Jr. Shmittah cycle. a missed opportunity which has been analyzed on this blog many times before.

I would assume that the spelling of the letter Tav in Hebrew would be similar to the spelling of the letter Vav full (maleh). When the letters of Yud Key Vav Key are spelled out with regards to the Filling of the Four Universes, the letter Vav is spelled Vav Vav as one possibility, Vav Yud Vav as another possibility, and Vav Aleph Vav as a third possibility. The Vav Vav spelling makes the most sense regarding the meaning of the letter which means "hook", but the other two spellings are acceptable too.

Same with the Tav. The letter Tav spelled Tav Vav means "mark" or even "musical note". That is the spelling of the letter listed in most Hebrew English dictionaries too. But perhaps like the Vav, the letter Tav can have those other spellings with a Yud or an Aleph in the middle. The most common spelling of the letter, though, is without those added letters. It is worth noting that in Olam HaAsiyah, the letter Vav is spelled simply Vav Vav since that is the universe that we live in day in and day out (with hooks and marks and musical notes) as we simply go about our lives. In the more transcendent universes, the Yud and the Aleph as "filler letters" are then used.

The Yud is the middle letter in Atziluth. Aleph is the middle letter in both Beri'ah and Yetzirah. Yet the Heys are still spelled with Yuds in Beri'ah too. Ok, So the Yud in David mentioned on that Youtube video is most likely from Atziluth. Someone earlier in the comments section was asking about Mashiach ben David getting a Yud. There it is in First Chronicles 2:15 in reference to David being the 7th son of Yishai. But it is a double entendre there. David hashvi'i most like refers to the Messianic Era and Techiyat HaMeitim which takes place before the 7th millennium.

The Obama administration is examining the possibility of increasing its measures against construction in Judea, Samaria and eastern Jerusalem, Haaretz reports.

The reports indicate that senior Israeli officials involved in the matter indicated that, a few weeks ago, classified talks were held in the White House on the matter of disregarding current policies of merely issuing statements of condemnation, and moving onward to policies of taking action. A number of American officials approached by Haaretz did not deny the reports, but did refuse to divulge details. A7

The day of their stroll, was, drumroll.......Lag B'Omer. It is time to move beyond the Lag (33rd) level of purity, and only a King in Klal Yisrael can lead us and the rest of the world to the next level where the purpose of serving G-d is lishma. We have two candidates for that effort. Mashiach ben Yosef who perfects Yesod that is in Yesod, the 41st level of purity and/or Mashiach ben David who perfects Malkhut that is in Malkhut, the 49th level of purity.

The 6 Day War in 5727 began on the 26th of Iyar which is the 41st day of the counting of the Omer, the day of Yesod that is in Yesod. 5727 was the first year of the Yesod that is in Malkhut Yovel cycle since the counting of the Shmittah and Yovel years was "reset" by Ezra HaSofer. We are now in the Malkhut that is in Malkhut year of the Yesod that is in Malkhut Yovel cycle. Next year is the first year (Chessed that is in Chessed year) of the Malkhut that is in Malkhut Yovel cycle. We shall see how this transpires.

I just made a casual glance about when was the beginning of the Yesod that is in Yesod Yovel cycle, and I see that it was in the year 5384 (1624 ce). It seems to correspond to the beginning of colonization in the United States in particular, in Massachusetts Bay Colony first by Pilgrims and later by Puritans. This requires much more thought. I don't believe in "British Israelism", but I can see where that idea took root with the idea that the colonists of the United States claimed to be from the Tribe of Ephraim (Yosef).

I donate to Moshe Feiglin's camapaign. Those who do this receive letters from time to time. Here is the latest:

The Knesset this morning was a zoo. In the wake of Netanyahu’s calling new elections last night, reporters and politicians were tripping over each other in the hallways, trying to get their spin of events on the media screen.

I was there with a group of philanthropists from the states who were meeting with Moshe Feiglin as part of their week-long mission to Israel. One of the questions to Moshe was, does he really have a chance of victory in the upcoming Likud leadership election?

Moshe gave two answers. The first was that in politics, unlikely things do happen. He could conceivably win.

In his second answer, Moshe said that he’s already won.

He quoted the verse from the book of Shmuel I, “Netzach Yisrael lo yeshaker.” He explained that there’s a flow to Jewish history with a goal that’s been fixed by G-d. In the midst of the lies that dominate the political arena, there’s a divine plan that’s unfolding towards authentic Jewish leadership for our nation. Whether or not Moshe Feiglin wins this particular election, he’s aligned himself with that plan. He’s aligned himself with our destiny. Sooner or later, he or someone who thinks and talks and acts like him will be the leader of our nation.

In that sense he’s already won.

He’s decided that authentic Jewish leadership for our nation is a realistic goal – not just for some distant messianic future - but for right now. We don’t have to put up with more massacres. He’s given his life over to providing Am Yisrael with the choice to pursue the path of Jewish destiny with him. He’s given us the option to choose life now.

There’s no such thing as failure when you align your life the way Moshe has aligned his. The choice is now in our hands.

Obama set on obstructing Netanyahu’s re-election

The Obama administration has maintained close ties with Lapid during the foreshortened 22 month-life of the departing Israeli government.

The White House is still working on a detailed plan of action, but has lost no time in setting up appointments for the president to receive heads of the parties sworn to overthrow Netanyahu – among others, ex-minister Lapid, opposition leader Yitzhak Herzog of Labor and Tzipi Livni (The Movement), who was fired this week as Justice Minister along with Lapid.

This White House campaign would be accompanied by leaks from Washington for putting Netanyahu and his policies in a derogatory light. Messages to this effect were transmitted to a number of serving political figures as an incentive to jump the Likud-led ship to opposition ranks. The US administration has begun hinting that it may emulate the Europeans by turning the screws on Israel as punishment for the prime minister’s signature policy of developing West Bank and Jerusalem development construction. Belgian legislators are working on a resolution to recognize a Palestinian state.

On Tuesday, French lawmakers voted in favor of recognizing the "state of Palestine. The symbolic vote in the lower house National Assembly passed with 339 in favor and 151 against.

France is spearheading a UN Security Council resolution for the PA to demand a withdrawal timeline for Israel to be forced out of its Biblical heartland of Judea, Samaria and parts of Jerusalem by November, 2016.

British lawmakers voted overwhelmingly on October 13 in favor of a non-binding motion to "recognize the state of Palestine"; Sweden announced on October 30 it officially recognized the state of "Palestine"; and two weeks ago, Spanish lawmakers adopted a motion calling on the government to recognize a Palestinian state.

Denmark is also set to make a similar vote on December 12, and afterwards the PA has said it will push for votes from Austria and Finland.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon recently predicted that that the “momentum” of countries recognizing the “state of Palestine” will grow.

"Governments and parliaments are taking action. That momentum will grow," he said.

1938, 1973, 2014: it is time again for Europe's betrayal of the Jewish people.

Blogger Dov Bar-Leib said...

Europe betrays us often because Esav is our mortal enemy. Why is this a surprise?

1. Edom thinks that his world to come has been signed, sealed and delivered to him with no connection to his moral or immoral behavior in this world.

2. Edom's reward for good behavior is totally in Olam HaZeh.

On the other hand,

1. Ya'akov knows that his world to come is totally dependent on his behavior in Olam HaZeh.

2. And Ya'akov's reward for good behavior is primarily in the World to Come.

Never the two shall meet in real harmony. Every once in a while they fake it better than at other times. And individually there are many good and decent Xtians, but the two world views by and large cannot be reconciled one with the other.

The Eruv Rav: Then and Now

Blogger Dov Bar-Leib said...

When Esav and Ya'akov were 15 years old, Esav fully cognizant of what he was doing sold his birthright. Because Yitzchak Avinu after the Akeidah lived in both this world and the world to come at the same time, he had a very unusual inheritance to give to his twin sons. He had a portion in both worlds to give as his inheritance. Originally as the bechor, Esav was set to receive a portion in both worlds since a bechor always receives a double portion. Ya'akov's portion was originally meant to only be in the World to Come with no portion in this world whatsoever. Ya'akov realized that in order to do mitzvot, he needed a portion, smaller than his portion in the world to come, in this world too. Ayn kemach Ayn Torah. Nu? So he arranged to purchase Esav's double portion after Esav had come in from the field after murdering Nimrod for his famous "hunter's" coat on the day that Avraham their grandfather was buried. Esav thought to himself that he did not need HaShem's providence to succeed in this world so that he could sell his double portion and keep his single portion in the world to come.

Ah, but 45 years later upon coming in from the field with his father's supper, he was in for a rude awakening. He, Esav, discovered that the only bracha that was left for him was a blessing to succeed in this world in Olam HaZeh with no promise of any bracha for the world to come. So the portion that he had spurned 45 years earlier when he sold his birthright was his portion in the World to Come thinking all along during those 45 years that he had sold his portion in Olam HaZeh.

So in many ways, Esav's hatred of Ya'akov is his inability to accept that he himself had Lost his Paradise.

One last point: The main way that Edom justifies the need to attain the world to come by believing that Yoshke died for his sins is by postulating that since he lives in a world of extenuating circumstances, G-d will never accept that he might have a heter to refrain from doing a negative commandment such as stealing or that he may have a heter to kill in self-defense. Since in his mind stealing can't be done to save one's own life and since killing can't even be done in self-defense, then he has no way of ever attaining his father Yitzchak's relationship with G-d since his deeds are "tainted" by extenuating circumstances that he believes G-d will never accept. How many times have you heard a Xtian tell you that our deeds are like dirty rags? Ya'akov's approach from the very beginning was to understand that while he does not live in Yitzchak his father's world of perfection, he can attain an even closer relationship with G-d than even his father's by understanding that for every negative mitzvah there are a dozen acceptable heterim and for every positive mitzvah there are a dozen reasons why he might be patur. This is why in Yitzchak's World, G-d's laws were Dinim, but in Ya'akov's world, G-d's laws are halakhah (as we go by the way with this condition and that condition). Esav rejected the world of extenuating circumstances that Ya'akov learned about in his tent, lived as he damn well pleased in Olam HaZeh, and found out when he was 63 years old that he had received and was going to receive his entire reward in this world.

This is NOT license for people to come up with their own heterim. If you think you might have a heter or might be patur, please ask a Rav.

But Zecharia HaNavi clearly states that the nuclear aspect of the War in the 7th year only comes when the nations of the world first send troops to divide Yerushalayim. The main combatants in the final war will be the decrepit Western powers vs. the Force of Dubiel (Power of the Bear from Daniel 7: Russia and Persia)

The general outline for the final nine months seems to be that they try to divide Yerushalayim in Tevet and world war begins in the Spring. Nisan? perhaps.

Blogger Dov Bar-Leib said...

One slight correction: The sale of the birthright was when they were 15 years old, and blessings of Yitzchak was when they were 63 years old. Yes, they were 63 years old when Yitzchak blessed them! We know this because Esav took a third wife, Machalath bat Yishmael immediately after receiving his lesser blessing, and the text there hints that Yishmael died before the actual date of the wedding because Nevayot gave away his sister at the wedding to Esav instead. It is why he is even mentioned in the pasuk. Yishmael was 14 years older than Yitzchak and died when he was 137 years old. So Yitzchak was 123 years old when Yishmael died immediately after Yitzchak blessed his children. Ya'akov and Esav were born when Yitzchak was 60 years old.(Gen. 25:26) So they were blessed at age 63. So it was 48 years after the sale not 45 years after the sale.

And how do we know that they were 15 years old at the sale? because we know that the sale was on the day that Avraham was buried at the age of 175 years. Avraham was 100 years old when Yitzchak was born and was therefore 160 years old when Esav and Ya'akov were born. So when he died, the twins were 15 years old.

Hmm. I wonder if each of those 48 years of Esav mistakenly believing that that he had sold his portion in this world and not his portion in the world to come (which was really the case) corresponds with the 48 Yovel cycles since Ezra HaSofer's dedication of Bayit Sheini which end THIS YEAR 5775! just one big Hmmmmm.

He cowered before their diktats and placed a witch from the pit of hell in charge of the Miscarriage of Justice Dept. For the first 2 1/2 months of the final 9 months, HaShem has prepared psychological warfare against us in order to "allow the world" to try to affect our elections on March 17th. Because of the election process, they won't send troops to effect their will until after the elections have taken place. This puts us close enough to Pesach so that the Geulah can begin without much discomfort for us here. For those who are not prepared for 2 1/2 months of worldwide mental torture, these 2 1/2 months will be miserable. But it is b'Rachamim already since instead of troops, we will have a 2 1/2 month guilt trip for those who are wont to feel guilty when the Umot HaOlam shake their fingers at us. Hopefully that does not include anyone who reads this blog. No one who reads this blog should give a damn about what others think about us, G-d willing, even if it is 90% of the human race.

H', Master of Legions, is with us, a stronghold for us is the G'd of Jacob.

H', Master of Legions, praiseworthy is the man who trusts in You.

H' save! May the King answer us on the day we call!

The remedy against what Dov calls "psychological warfare against us" is unity. Baseless hate between us, the Jewish people, is the reason for our suffering during millenniums of years. A good start is the call this morning:

Leading Judea and Samaria activist Daniella Weiss on Tuesday called for a “courageous” nationalistic response to leftist parties..."This is a critical hour," she told Arutz Sheva, adding, "I am in favor of unity that reaches the highest peaks of Zionism, but not in favor of artificial unity. In order to shake up the system there must be public awareness that places the flag of Israel at the center of the debate.”

However, I claim that it is not the flag of Israel that should be put at the center but rather Toras Israel. But her call is a good start. Believers in H' unit! Just imagine a united block of servants of H', all streams united. What a power block, what a revolution! And then the others while follow suit. I am sure of that.

This issue of social services and or the state seizing custodianship over the parents of children already exists in America. A famous hospital in Boston grabbed a child from her parents, saying that they knew better in the matter of her health and well-being. It was a long messy fight but they managed to get their daughter back. Glenn Beck helped in this, with publicity that brought about embarrassment to the hosp.

This is not the only situation. There are many similar and different. Children are being taken away and given over to others.

It's scary to think what the social services could do to families here in Israel. It's even scarier to imagine labor and Herzog and Lapid's and Livni getting into office together. A civil rebellion.

Note: Netanyahu today tried a stunt that should cost him his career and is so unbelievably corrupt that in any normal country he would certainly lose the General election. He went to the Likud Central Committee (who is voting as we speak) to advance the Likud Primaries just one week earlier. Why? because Gidon Sa'ar is threatening to enter the race this week. If Bibi advances the Primary elections one week, Sa'ar will have missed the ballot registration deadline by one week. As it is right now with the Primaries set for Jan. 6th, Saar can enter the race now and will likely defeat Netanyahu. So this is a desperate and altogether corrupt move by Netanyahu, and if he succeeds in advancing the election by one week in the Primaries, the voters in the General election will know with certitude that he has the position of running for his 4th term solely because he cheated and excluded Sa'ar from his right as a serious candidate in the Primaries.

As I wrote on A-7 comments: This is so unbelievably corrupt that Netanyahu would even attempt this, to exclude another candidate from running against him by moving up the date of the Primaries one week earlier. After pulling this "stunt" I have no doubt that he would LOSE in the General election even if he wins the Primary. sleazy corruption at its worst.

According to Likud rules in a three way race, the top vote-getter can win without a runoff as long as he/she wins by a plurality of at least 40% of the vote. In a four way race with Sa'ar, no one will get 40% of the vote in the 1st round. So a four way race will guarantee that there will be a runoff. Understand? So Sa'ar getting into the race will make a big difference even if he does not win. Netanyahu knows this, explaining his desperate move today to block Sa'ar from entering the race. But Sa'ar entering the race also increases the chances of Moshe Feiglin in a runoff.

The Brit Milah on that reunification is exactly 7 Shmittah cycles later in 5776. So it was with Shmittah cycles from Churban Bayit Sheini, would one expect anything less exact at the very end that is exactly 271 days of pregnancy of Mashiach ben David...b'itah?

Feiglin offeres the Palestinians three options they could choose from after "the elimination of the Abbas regime in the West Bank and the Hamas regime in Gaza."

The options at hand for Palestinians, according to Feiglin, are: "Permanent residency after acceptance of Israeli sovereignty, receiving citizenship after making a public pledge of allegiance and doing national service, and the third option: those who do not wish to accept Israel's sovereignty, would receive a generous immigration package so they could find their future elsewhere."

Yes, they are coming for us. Russia in crisis. A good reason for them to find a scapegoat event. And who is first in line - the Jews and the state of Israel. Remember Russia is a potential candidate for Gog and Magog.

Russia took its biggest step yet to shore up the ruble and defuse the currency crisis threatening its stricken economy.

In a surprise announcement just before 1 a.m. in Moscow, the Russian central bank said it would raise its key interest rate to 17 percent from 10.5 percent, effective today. The move was the largest single increase since 1998, when Russian rates soared past 100 percent and the government defaulted on debt.

So far this year, Russia has spent $80 billion of its foreign-exchange reserves in an unsuccessful attempt to prop up the ruble, which tumbled past 64 against the dollar for the first time yesterday. The currency’s collapse has evoked the turmoil of the 1998 Russian crisis, an event that reverberated through financial markets around the world.

A better Torah way alternative to Bayis HaYehudi. If following through it will work for Achdus (Unity) between Am Yisroel. The split (Sinas Chinam/Baseless hate) is the main reason for our Galus (Exile) during millenniums, c.f. with the first expulsion post First Beis HaMikdash - only 70 years. Let us hope this will be the time for "break down the walls between religious and nonreligious, between Sephardim and Ashkenazim". That is what H' is longing for!

Former Shas chairman MK Eli Yishai announced his departure on Monday from the party and declared that he is establishing a political faction, called "Yachad" (Together), to run in the upcoming elections.

Yishai, who predicted that his faction would secure 10 Knesset seats, declared that hundreds of thousands of people in the country would support his new party, whose name was oddly not announced.

“The people are with us, they want unity, they want to break down the walls between religious and nonreligious, between Sephardim and Ashkenazim,” said Yishai.

“The people want Torah, they want our traditions, Jewish values, decency and love of Israel. The nation wants true peace with our neighbors alongside love of the nation,” he continued, in a refrain designed to resonate with the national-religious community.

When announcing the press conference earlier, Yishai was sitting next to MK Yoni Chetboun who resigned Sunday from Jewish Home, with which he has served as a Knesset member for the past two years.

At the press conference itself, Chetboun officially announced he is joining Yishai's new party. Chetboun, who is expected to be a significant factor in the new party, said that the party represents a "unity between religious, hareidi, and traditional" Jewry.

"Concern for the disadvantaged and strengthening Jewish heritage is our party's agenda. It is the message the people are crying out for," Chetboun said, adding that he is "more than happy to join forces with Eli Yishai."
.

We might also see the Tekuma party, led by Uri Ariel, currently in partnership with Bayis HaYehudi.

I will refrain from giving her married name out of respect for her privacy. He had it tested for the 11 spices by three independent Chemists including Dr. Marvin Antelman and a Chemist hired by Rav Ovadia Yosef zt"l whose name I don't know. All three of them using mass spectrometry found at least nine of the eleven spices in the compound mixture. Keep in mind that the spice was sitting around for 1900 years hidden away allowing for some of it to degrade over the ages. He regrets not placing it in the Israel Museum as his vile of anointing oil that he found is. But I believe the qetoret from the 2nd Temple is still in Ma'aleh Levonah. A sobering look at what this dying or already dead world of Edomite zombies supports:

From the Algemeiner:
Why do 80% of Paleostinians Support Murder?

Of course when the Ba'al Kerry says that the Har Nof massacre was the result of incitement, the Ba'al Kerry was referring to Jewish building in East Yerushalayim, not to haranguing in the Arab Media.

I have to ask Rami Levy a serious question even though I really like the guy. I have actually met him on two occasions, and he humbly accepted Glenn Beck's award for Tzeddakah when Beck was here for Restoring Courage. He took his reward, shook Beck's hand, and bashfully walked off the stage.

My question is: How do you screen out 80% of the Yesha Arabs from being an employee at Rami Levy? Really how is that done without incurring some sort of lawsuit for discrimination from Peace Now or Yeish Gevul Yimchu Shmoteihem? It really is a public safety question along with needing to know if there is advice to be given.

Shouldn't plunging oil prices be good for the US economy and the stock market???

It's odd that no one seems to be able to explain why the ENORMOUS drop in oil prices has not led to a positive spike in the US economy and the stock market?!?!

Just asking....

The world economy is dying. It is the open/ closed secret which in part explains plummeting oil prices. Western Civilization entered the status of total tumah or reprobate status in 5774 because Edom has no connection with Yesod or Malkhut in the area of purity. So in 5774, it was the Yesod that is in Malkhut year of the Yesod that is in Malkhut Yovel cycle, and Edom officially died. They really are a bunch of spiritual zombies now whose only "merit" are the Yishmaelim in their midst, and their leaders are a combination of Yishmael and Amaleq or one or the other...that doubly applies to Obama. For the few people who have fallen from the 49th level of purity in 5727 when the Summer of Love commenced, 5775 is the year that they begin to fall below Mem Tet Sha'arei Tumah, and the Final Redemption comes so that G-d does not have to destroy the entire world, just the wicked in it. So it only has been a matter of time before the hinges on the world economy have become to come off. This oil price plunge is only partially because of fracking. There is something far more fundamentally dying. Fracking on the supply side is only part of the reason for this price collapse.

I'm not smart enough to understand the heavenly science behind current events!

I'm very simple and straightforward.

The question is, why isn't the huge drop in oil prices leading to a spike in the economy throughout the world (excluding oil driven economies? (Drastically)Reduced energy costs should yield higher profits. Higher profits should help pick up the world's economy. For some reason, the uptick in the international economy (if there has been any uptick at all) is not nearly as substantial as one would expect given a nearly 50% drop in oil prices!!! Why?????

The (practical as opposed to spiritual)answer is (I think), the economic problems are exceptionally deep.

Interests rates have been at historical lows for YEARS. The government has spent TRILLIONS of dollars on "stimulus" packages and now fuel prices have plummeted. If the economy is still not being "stimulated" then isn't it about time that we realized that something is seriously wrong here????

Just asking...

Kerry in a very short explanation to Erekat today in Rome basically said that while he agrees with Paleostinian aspirations, he/Obama will veto any Pal. State resolution until right after the Israeli elections if the desired result of the Umot HaOlam is not met. Since the Israeli elections are on March 17th (26th and 27th of Adar 5775), this effectively delays official UNSC action to divide Yerushalayim three months from Tevet until Nisan....Hmm. This does not mean that the pregnancy does not begin on the 10th of Tevet. Yet, two things are abundantly clear. 1. The nations will divide Yerushalayim three months later than planned, but 2. the Redemption which is supposed to begin in Nisan of the Shmittah year b'itah will be b'Rachamim after all. The occupation of the 1st trimester (Tevet- Adar) will be a form of psychological warfare to convince the Israeli electorate to play ball with the "World's will". The wicked will try to be clever, but HaShem is infinitely more clever. So thank HaShem for His Mercies! Chag Urim Sameach!!!

In short this elections and the three month campaign for it in Israel out of nowhere is a tremendous blessing making the first and most dangerous trimester b'Rachamim. So yes they are coming but with a welcome three month delay from Din to Rachamim. But as we shall see it won't really be delayed. It is just that because of these elections, the tactics of the Umot HaOlam will be less harmful to life here in the first trimester of the nine months.

They were all set to turn the screws on Israel at the end of the secular year 2014, then came the Israeli election campaign like "poof" and their plans were delayed for 2 1/2 months because Kerry felt that coming after Israel now would give Netanyahu a decisive advantage in the General election. I can't stop thinking about that.

Rav Dov

A thought, just a guess, on a day the pere adam continued wreaking havoc in Pakistan:

I could not work out why this coming war will be a tag team effort of Iran and Russia vs the USA and The West.
Iran as an opponent for the USA yes I understood, but why Russia, now that the Communist idea is no longer what they live by and there is less of an ideological difference from the USA?

Rav Dov has explained the spiritual differences between USA and Russia but I still could not figure it out.

Russia is a long time enemy of Iran.
It works on the Iranian nuclear programme but more I think so the Russians can keep an eye on it?

But today, seeing the Russian economy in trouble, it might just be something very simple that triggers the conflict.

Simply that the Russians will blame the USA and the West's economic sanctions for it's economic troubles, and for it's partially thwarted Ukrainian ambitions.

So whilst having no particular affection for Iran, the two will combine military action because they will share a hatred of the USA and The West.

Russia is operating some high profile military sabre rattling in the Baltic and around the UK coast...by sea and air.

That costs money, money which Russia has less and less of.
It is no game.

Ignore at our peril!

Hanukkah Sameach.

EU Court Rules Hamas Be Removed from Terrorist List

A European Court ruled on Wednesday that the Hamas terrorist organization be removed from the European Union’s terrorist blacklist.

The General Court of the European Union issued a statement claiming that the 2001 listing of Hamas as a terrorist organization was not “Based on sound legal judgments, but on factual imputations derived from the press and the Internet,” AFP reports.

Am Yisroel - Unit!

Labor MK Nachman Shai said that the EU court's decision to remove Hamas from the bloc's terror black list was "hypocrisy."

"The body responsible for justice should know that Hamas does not deserve the benefit of the doubt, even for one minute.

"Terror is terror is terror. In the unending struggle against it, as has been brought to light recently in Australia and Pakistan, any concession is a sign of weakness. Europe must put Hamas back on the terror black list immediately," he said.

If anyone thinks that sacrificing Israel can save Europe they are mistaken, Economy Minister and Head of Bayit Yehudi Naftali Bennett said on Wednesday in response to the EU Court of Justice decision to remove Hamas from its list of terror organizations.

"The corrupt law of the EU court gives license for the shedding of Jewish blood everywhere and demonstrates the loss of a moral path," he said.

Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein (Likud) on Wednesday said that the European Union "must have lost its mind," after an EU court struck Hamas off the bloc's terror black list.

Following the EU court's decision on Wednesday to annul Hamas' status as a terror organization, Deputy Transportation Minister Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) said that the decision demonstrated the EU's disconnect from reality.

Likud MK Danny Danon on Wednesday criticized the decision by the General Court of the European Union to annul the bloc's decision to keep Hamas on a list of terrorist organizations.

"The Europeans must believe that there blood is more sacred than the blood of the Jews which they see as unimportant - that is the only way to explain the EU court's decision to remove Hamas from the terror blacklist," he said.

"In Europe they must have forgotten that Hamas kidnapped three boys and fired thousands of rockets last summer at Israeli citizens," he added.

World Support Turns In Favor of Palestinians

Breaking Israel News: ““The kings of the earth stand up, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His anointed.” (Psalm 2:2)

In Geneva, world powers gathered to condemn Israel’s actions in Judea and Samaria; in Luxembourg, the EU Court of Justice removed Hamas from its terror blacklist; and back in the United States, a draft resolution was introduced at the United Nations demanding an Israeli withdrawal from lands wanted for a Palestinian State by 2017.

Geneva hosted a one-day conference for the signatories to the Geneva Conventions which govern the rules of war and military occupation. 126 of the 196 parties attended Wednesday’s gathering, which adopted a declaration condemning Israel’s activities in Judea and Samaria. The 10-point declaration seeks to “emphasize that all serious violations of international humanitarian law must be investigated and that all those responsible should be brought to justice,” reported The Times of Israel.

The declaration demands that the Geneva Conventions be applied by Israel in conflict zones between Israel and the Palestinians, particularly by not building settlements in Judea and Samaria, which the Palestinians want for their own country.”

Opinion: Behold Amalek.

Mahmoud Abbas is winning world opinion while the nations rethink whether or not Hamas is a terror organization. I cannot imagine a more prophetic scenario leading to Psalm 83.

That Abbas has succeeded in convincing the nations that the Palestinian Authority is moderate despite countless terror attacks on innocent civilians is reminiscent of his former boss Yasser Arafat.

But

“Because H' has sworn, H' will have war with Amalek from generation to generation” Exodus 17:16.”

No one wants a baby born in 2015, the dreaded Year of the Sheep/Goat/Ram.

Sheep are meek creatures, raised for nothing more than slaughter. Babies born in the Year of the Sheep, therefore, will grow up to be followers rather than leaders, according to some superstitions. The children are destined for heartbreak and failed marriages, and they will be unlucky in business, many Chinese believe. One popular folk saying holds that only one out of 10 people born in the Year of the Sheep finds happiness.
