The Phenomenon Named Sandy

I will make this brief because of the pain involved from the pain of Sandy Hook massacre in Connecticut from over a week and a half ago.  This post in no way accuses the victims of mass murder of being anything but victims of mass murder, but everything is a message from G-d.  I just posted this somewhere else.  So I will now post it here.

Hurricane Sandy and now Sandy Hook seem to have defined a specific amount of time to make Aliyah of short duration. Hurricane Irene was a shot across the bow after the passage of legislation in New York granting marriage contracts to homosexuals. A year later came Hurricane Sandy. The Gemorrah in Chulin 92 tells us that it is one of the two great sins that G-d will never countenance in the gentile world: selling human flesh in the marketplace and granting ketubot (marriage contracts) to male homosexuals. Chulin is a double entendre' meaning both mundane shechitah (kosher slaughtering) and....Sandys. So now there have been two Sandys in places that grant those ketubot to the abomination.  I am referring to either Civil Union contracts or marriage contracts.  The states of New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut are all included.  Now by plebiscite, so are Maryland, Maine, and Washington State as of November 7th.  Time is very limited, and I was wondering if this mekubal gave a specific time frame.   Granting ketubot to homosexuals is a bedrock Noachide prohibition.  It is worth noting that the, Rachmana Letzlan,  little Jewish boy that was murdered at Sandy Hook was named Noach.  May the Omnipresent comfort Noach's relatives amongst the remnant of the mourners of Tzion and Yerushalayim.  And the murderer, yemach shmo, was named Adam.

This is important info. because it takes at least three months to make Aliyah properly. And three months from now is Pesach.  Pesach is in the ninth month of the pregnancy discussed in a previous post.

I also commented extensively about this on the previous post about the Fourth Night of Chanukah.  I also commented extensively here:  http://lazerbrody.typepad.com/lazer_beams/2012/12/blood-libel-2012.html#comments

I did not want to comment on the Mayan calendar three day weekend of the 8th, 9th, and 10th of Tevet because certain info has not yet become clear. For instance on the 10th of Tevet, this video was released by the Syrian rebels:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=SrAvea8_-PU

It was not a video that was an exercise in Pallywood type fakery. The video is real and shows that on Sunday, Asarah B'Tevet Assad (Antiochus Epiphenes) used a chemically poisonous gas/ nerve agent on the jihadist rebels. It is a clear violation of one of Obamanation's red lines. Yet, there are Russian and Persian boots on the ground in Syria supporting Assad. So any action by NATO to protect the rebels will precipitate WW3. And who would want to begin WW3 on Xmas! Plus Obamanation is yucking it up in his vacation home in Hawaii after jumping off the Fiscal Cliff with Speaker of the House Boehner on Friday, the 8th of Tevet (12/21/12). They called it quits and went on Xmas vacation. America is now finished through and through with the largest tax increase in American history. So who has the money to prosecute WW3?....Maybe Naftali Bennett? Everything he says these days just gives him more Mandates in the next Knesset.

My sense (and this is just an educated sense) is that Binyamin Netanyahu is Shilo or Shai lo (Gift to him). He is the gilgul of King Shaul, and may I say therefore not part of the Erev Rav. He has Shaul's greatness: a gift of gab like Winston Churchill. And Shaul's faults: cowardice in real time situations where he has a choice between what others are saying and what G-d has to say. Yet, he is also Shai lo, and therefore likely the last PM before Ben David arrives.

When Yehudah went down to Egypt a second time he became the guarantor of Yosef's full blood brother, that if Binyamin were ever in danger of going into slavery, Yehudah would go in his stead. It was his full fledged repentance for selling Yosef into slavery, even if the sale saved Yosef's life from the Court of Shimon and Levi. Yet, Yehudah in a very deep sense as the fourth son taught us all the four steps to repentance. For that one fact, Yehudah became the King of Israel who could lead the world that needs to repent at the End of Days when Shilo comes. So HaShem looked down and smiled and said: Just like you Yehudah brought Binyamin down to Egypt as a gift to his full blood brother Yosef in this great act of teshuvah, I, Yahu, will give (notein) Binyamin as a gift to Mashiach ben David so that his kingdom can become a kingdom for the nations of the world. Binyamin Natan Yahu. continued...

Having said that, then who is Naftali Bennett? Is he the erstwhile ben Ephraim who leads us in keeping G-d's Laws of common decency before ben David shows up? The platform of Bayit Yehudi even if it mentions the Torah of Israel was expanded to attract secular Israelis who are sick and tired of the world's sick and perverted definitions of what is decent or not. such as what is decent in times of war? Can one bomb a building where there is a missile launcher in the bowels of the building even if the building is a hospital or an apartment building? The answer by G-d's Law is yes. Humanity says No. So Bennett comes along and says: I care more about what G-d thinks about this issue than what humanity thinks. What a giant leap forward it would be if Bennett from without and Feiglin and his MKs from within can put a leash on Shilo to force him to take on an entire world!! Right now, Bennett still needs more Mandates to effectively control Shaul from without with Feiglin controlling Shaul from within. There are four weeks before the elections.

Of course we should not behave like our enemies and bomb civilians as primary targets ever.

Dov When you say Bennett from without do you mean to say as the opposition party? Because today it looks like Bibi is serious about a coalition including Livni ..Labor has no reason to sit out...so the opposition would be Bayit Yehudi (+plus the Arab parties)if Bibi refuses to allow them in. How much influence does the opposition party really have...even if BY were to gain 15 seats?

12/25/2012 11:00 PM

Correct Marcia. Yet, Netanyahu does have a limitation. 18 of his top 19 Likud deputies are against an alliance with Labor. But Shaul will do whatever he can do to keep the old Shaul paradigm. I believe that he will not succeed. And yes, Bayit Yehudi plus Otzma LeYisrael will need to get a combined 24 or 25 seats to change the balance of power here. A lot will need to take place during the next four weeks to bring this about. For now before the elections, it is possible that Netanyahu's statements that he will form a coalition with Shelly Yuckivich will turn off a lot of Likud voters. As it was with the Gaza War followed by the Likud primaries, the spiritual change will need to precede the electoral vote in the election. Right now it seems like we will need another miracle to bring this about. But this is 5773, and we are in the nine months. So miracles within the Teva might be likely.

Yes, the Bayit Yehudi/ Naftali Bennett growth factor is a spiritual phenomenon in motion. The Dynasty of Shaul fell on the 8th day of the Gaza War on Shaul HaMelekh Street in Tel Aviv and then the unilateral appeal for peace at the end of that day (Shmuel Aleph 13) written about in a previous post. I don't know how far he can go without even more Divine intervention to raise his numbers. For this to take place peacefully internally without Shaul going mad like he did in Shmuel Aleph, we might need the Syrian War to blow up in advance of the elections. If the animosity between Shaul and Bennett gets more hostile, Bennett could end up being like David??? This is as far as I will go trying to predict anymore unless there is a page in Navi or the Zohar or the Talmud or the Medrash to back me up. And the Navi Yishayahu on Damascus predicts a world war L'Eit Erev (Gematriah 772) at the end of 5772 years (Yishayahu 17: 12-14). When in 5773 does this world war actually takes place? I don't know, but it would surely help Bennett if it happened before the election in four weeks time.

IT could happen considering Assad gassed some Syrian opposition fighters and the MSM media has kept mum, that the so-called "red-line" has been crossed and Obama is silent. The fact that Turkey is working with Israel while Russia and Iran are in Syria helping Assad may mean something too.

Question, How does HaShem look at Israel and its stance on Homosexuality? Even though the marriages of none Orthodox isn't legal... civil contracts are and a homosexual couple were even allowed a civil divorce. Gay pride parades ect... happen in Israel. Seems to me fear would be induced to anyone who lives in any vicinity anywhere this abomination is taking place. Not just USA but anywhere. Just asking?

12/26/2012 9:10 AM
Blogger Dov Bar-Leib said...

The condition for G-d's abandonment of a civilization or a legal jurisdiction is: Does that jurisdiction grant ketubot to male homosexuals? As you pointed out, here in Israel, Baruch HaShem, that does not occur. The State of Israel does recognize, though, marriages and Civil Unions performed in other legal jurisdictions throughout the world. So because there are now a Flood of such jurisdictions in places that Jews come from such as New York, suddenly homosexual married couples are showing up here in Israel, and some of them need divorces. Of course Halakhah provides no such way for married homosexuals to get divorces. So the Israeli secular courts stepped in where no Rav will tread. Great, at least they are leaving that situation of "marriage", and hopefully someone will help them to leave the sinful behavior altogether. Of course we hope that all these things like Tel Aviv being the "Gayest" city outside of San Francisco would disappear. And I am sure that G-d will find a way to cleanse this Holy Land surgically of this abomination. Yet, it is not the equivalent of dispensing the ketubot to these couples in the first place. If the Ford Foundation continues to funnel money from the US State Dept. to force the Attorney General here to shove gay parades down our throats in Yerushalayim, there is not much right now that we can do about that. Without our Jewish independence here in EY, money from the US State Dept. or the European Union seems to talk the loudest.

So the opportunity for schar from mitzvot and limud torah is quickly drawing to an end if your timeline is correct?

12/26/2012 6:46 PM
Blogger Dov Bar-Leib said...

Where have I ever said that the skhar for Limud Torah is coming to an end? It is simply better now to try as best as you can to do it in Eretz Yisrael. Or at the very least move to a state that does not grant ketubot to homosexuals. Yet, if it becomes dangerous to live in the Northeastern seaboard or Chicago, and you insist on remaining, perhaps your reward will be in Olam HaBa. G-d Forbid that that would be the place where you only receive your skhar. Please come home, and receive the fruits of your Limud Torah in this world. We know that the Keren Kayemet will be in Olam HaBa anyway. If you insist on remaining in America, at least look into a community where these marriage or Civil Union Contracts for the abomination are not certified. Texas, Missouri, Georgia, Ohio, or Tennessee come to mind. Speaking of Tennessee, if it is hard to make Aliyah, at least check out Rav Ariel Bar Tzadok's kosher community in Eastern Tennessee as a 2nd best alternative. And in the five states above there are vibrant Torah communities in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dallas, Houston, Memphis, St. Louis, and Atlanta. Yet, these are obviously 2nd best options since it is possible that the US Supreme Court will soon rule that states that are vehemently opposed to granting these contracts will still have to recognize homosexual marriages from other states.

And then there is this from Rav Yehuda Ze'ev Leibowitz: http://www.breslev.co.il/articles/society/current_affairs/the_end_of_the_game.aspx?id=23409&language=english

And there is this from another mekubal named Rav Eliyahu Leon Levi which seems to imply that the test of this generation is with one's possessions and not with one's life since the Gate to Eretz Yisrael will remain open (as long as flights are not canceled).

The day the Medinat will grant marriage to male homosexuals, I am afraid you will write that those are not really ketubot, given that of course, they are not proper ketubot according to halacha.

You keep repeating the same few names and planting fear. We have to stay strong and help each others. It is my opinion that if we must lose our possessions, or be thrown in jail, or be murdered R"L, which has been written and sealed and after Hannukkah ended there is absolutely nothing we can do to change the decree, better it is the antisemites who do, than a fellow jew. Better for us, and better for the world. In any case, everyone should talk to their rabbi, tell him all the relevant facts, and do what he says. Those who don't know lashon hakodesh, should seek to learn it in shul, not over the internet.

Blogger Dov Bar-Leib said...

Along with lashon haKodesh when one makes Aliyah, one should make sure that they take advantage of a good Ulpan. 90% of Modern Hebrew is very similar to ancient Hebrew, but the other ten percent of Modern Hebrew can best be learned at a good Ulpan. Plus if one is in a technological profession or in Mathematics, there are special Hebrew/ English/ Russian dictionaries for these modern terms. All these dictionaries can be purchased here. The best standard Hebrew/ English dictionary is the Oxford one, again purchased here.

If G-d forbid the moment were to ever come where this government were to start actually granting ketubot to homosexuals, I am sure that G-d will do something drastic to correct the problem, G-d forbid. I don't believe that we will ever come to this point, but of course we can talk about it when it happens. Right now all marriages must be performed by the Chief Rabbinate for Jews and Muslim or Xtian clerics for non-Jews. Even civil marriages are performed in Cyprus which will not countenance homosexual marriages any time soon. Of course if a "couple" goes to the Netherlands on a holiday in order to get married, there is nothing the Chief Rabbinate can do to stop it. There are bills now pending in both France and Great Britain to continue spreading this evil too. It really is an inundation. One might think that we could use another Great Flood, but Sefer Yoel seems to indicate that there will be a Great Fire instead.

Something drastic? such as sending false prophets? What next, a false messiah G-d forbid? We will know it immediately when our righteous Moshiach is about to be revealed, until now all we have to do is await the redemption and tell our children that even though Moshiach tarries, he no doubt will come.

If anyone has a need to learn modern hebrew, they should ask a shaila whether they should hire a tutor (and give parnassa to a fellow jew, which is a great chessed and a great mitzva). An ulpan is a place to have social interaction and is perfect for a nonjew who just made aliyah; as to whether it's a place for a yiddishe neshama to be, everyone should ask their rabbi.

Daniela,

Religious women should be aware that there is an Ulpan just for us, believe it or not, in Har Nof, Jerusalem (an island of Hebrew in a sea of English-speakers there). It's called Beit Ulpana; sadly, it's still the only all-women's ulpan in Israel so far as I am aware. It's state-recognized and Haredi - Jews only (the only Website is in Russian, I'm afraid - http://www.beitulpana.com - mostly about the high school with whom the ulpan shares the building; Nefesh b'Nefesh has more info about the ulpan). I went there, and my husband went to the all-men's ulpan at Machom Meir Yeshiva in nearby Kiryat Moshe, where we live. Rabbis should be aware of these religious options for those with she'eloth. Ken yirbu (may these institutions multiply!)

We have now topped the magic number of 6 million Jews here in Eretz Yisrael equal to the population that was murdered in the Shoah. If one looks hard enough here in Eretz Yisrael, you will find the things that you really need.....except for OU imitation bacon bits. Other than that, almost any service or product is available here. Also it would be great if Osem or someone else would produce a good French and Ranch salad dressing. One can get Ken's and others for a price, but Israelis have not caught on to French or Ranch dressings. Also since Ranch dressings are OU dairy, there is an issue of Chalav Yisrael for Ranch salad dressings from the States. By pointing out these minor things that are missing, I hope to be pointing out that almost everything is here.

Anonymous: With all due respect, readers should be aware that not every Rabbi would advise people in the same way you do. Not every Rabbi holds like yours, say, in regards to who is a jew and who is a nonjew or has reasons for us not to marry with, and not every rabbi hold like yours in regards to lifestyle, parnassa, and social interactions. I respect yours, you respect mine. And please don't treat us and our rabbis as fools: we are aware of options, we just try not to unnecessarily air our opinions in the face of those who hold differently.

Dov: "magic"? I am sure you meant "crucial" or something like that. Problem is what this "number" will arouse, when achieved and publicized. Will it be blessings or will it be decrees? We are now still safe and protected, and so is the shekel which is stable, but who can predict Sivan? Tammuz? and the rest of the year? Our rabbis cry very hard when we even mention it.

As I am sure you know, six million jewish souls who perished is a kabbalistic number and it does not necessarily correspond to the number of human lives, that for jews and non-jews, no one can count accurately. The concept has been grabbed and distorted by our xian and muslim cousins - who are convinced H Y"S failed because he did not quite murder the full 6 millions, but came somewhat short of that. They maintain their false messiah will move all jews to the land of Israel and R"L kill the whole six millions there, along with a load of nonjews which will become martyrs. The land, according to their plans, will be rendered inhabitables for decades or centuries, which explains the plans for a chemical war or dirty nuclear/ conventional weapons (radioactivity from A or N bombs is not long-lived).

Of course, according to halacha, a census of jews is forbidden and it brings terrible decrees, especially when done in the land of Israel, but somehow, counting jews is being done over and over and over again.

By the way, in the case of America because of intermarriage, low birth-rate, and other forms of assimilation according to Rav Ephraim Buchwald, the actual number of Jews in America might be four million to 4 1/2 million Jews now...might be. And of that total two million don't even recognize themselves as Jews. If you were to ask them, they would say that they were not Jews. And then there are the Reform and Conservative converts and the children of Jewish fathers and non-Jewish mothers who may also be Reform converts...maybe. It is a real mess in America these days.

I don't have to answer rationally, or to answer at all, whether someone should be in USA, in EY, in UK, in Japan or wherever else on earth. People should ask their rabbi, as I've been maintaining for months, or possibly, years. People should not decide according to their fears, not according to their limited intellect, not according to the internet. People should tell the fact to their rabbi and do what he says.

I am not the censor nor the inspector of anyone's status, of course if we are considering someone for marriage, we and our rabbis check him/her according to halacha and in the way prescribed by halacha in the various circumstances. I will also not fall for anonymous' traps, he/she knows exactly what I mean.

One, is that before Noah's departure from the Ark, he and his generation had web-like hands; but when he came off the ark he developed 'fingers' and was able to write, an invent those farming tools. And I wonder else this new generation was enable to do/think at this point in the "development of man"?

Two, is that Shlomo HaMelech had a Navy of Ships that sailed all over and brought back riches (Melachim & Divrei HaYamim), but also is credited with reaching "America" before Columbus, as chronicled on a huge stone found in New Mexico as covered lightly here. Plus I found an interesting site about Shlomo's pos navy ships Ancient Ships in History.

Thanks Neshama and Moriah for keeping me and other blog readers up-to-date. I have not blogged about the Fiscal Cliff because until January 1st we will not know which path off the Cliff America has chosen. The automatic path provided by Law if no one does anything to cut the deficit or the sliding path provided by an agreement which destroys the American economy by raising taxes on those who provide jobs and increase the national wealth through investments.

Instead I ran across this today which I might blog about later. It is a fatwa by a Saudi cleric allowing for women in Syria to be raped on multiple occasions by different men called "temporary intercourse husbands". This video is beyond words, and requires no comment except to say that this should be compared to what happens if one Jewish man in war rapes a single woman called a Yafeth Toar in Sefer Deuteronomy. The woman must be brought back to the man's house where he shaves her head and allows her to mourn for her family for 30 days. He then must either marry her or let her go free. The moral Gulf between the Torah and Sharia Law is staggering.

Here there is no responsibility for the women who can be married in short stints to multiple husbands to satisfy their urges in the time of the Syrian Civil War where many Saudi Jihadists have joined in on the fight against Assad (Antiochus).

Re Yishmael being a half-brother. There are no real Yishmaelim today, it is just that the moslem world is representative of Yishmael. Jewish historians says there have not been real Yishmaelim for a thousand years. Remember that Yishmael conquered much of the world by the sword and are very mixed with most nations. Maybe there are certain segments of the Arab world where they might be mostly of Yishmael and, of course, our Torah states that Yishmael was a pere-adam. Aside from that the Assad regime (alawites) might be of a completely different background (maybe even from the original 'Syrian/Greeks' and would have nothing to do with Yishmael). The cruelty of the Syrian regime is well-known, as the IDF can attest to that.

It is said that King Solomon traded with Central Americans (The book about the Mayans by Rabbi Glazerson talks about this, and the names Yoctan, Havilah and Ophir). Rabi Lazer Brody has blogged about the links between the Cherokee Tribe and Judaism.

I have also heard it said King Solomon traded with Cornwall (now in England) where there were tin mines. Certainly some English people believe that Yoske visited England with his uncle and even have a song about it called "Jerusalem", so perhaps the trade with Cornwall sparked that belief?

Yes, I know. Yishmael and the Bnai Keturah control the world view of 35 of the 70 nations while Edom controls or represents the hearts and minds of the other 35. Yet, this cleric quoted chapter and verse of a Muslim source that all Muslims can validate. His interpretation of this source is downright cruel, and he is a Saudi Wahabi'ist. So at the very least the world view expressed by that cleric is from Yishmael, or at least from the Hamitic or Semitic nations that make up most of the Muslim World. The word Arab itself represents all the nations that were Me'uravim by Senchariv when he mixed up all the Semitic and Hamitic nations that Ashur conquered. So yes, the Arabs are a mixed lot of those nations. Yet, the fact that there is actual source material for this fatwa is outrageous, irregardless if whether it is spiritually from Yishmael or the Semitic and Hamitic nations that were all mixed up.

I refer to Assad as Antiochus for a completely different reason than that he is just from that same part of the Greek Empire. He is a stridently secular Ba'athist, a real Hellenizer in the Arab world which is precisely why the Jihadists hate his guts. The fact that he is Syrian just reinforces that he is from the Epiphanes branch of the Greek Hellenizers.

Yes, speaking of Ophir ben Yoktan (of the Yucatan Peninsula), his brother Havilah actually went further north into the Mid-Mississippi River Valley. As we see from the Torah the River Pishon flows through the Land of Havilah. So there are two Havilahs listed amongst the 70 nations. One is from Kush and is traditionally thought to have settled around the Nile (which is the source for the Pishon being the Nile). Yet, Havilah ben Yoktan brother of Peleg was in North America. Notice the word Mississippi. It is Pishom backwards. Ms and Ns are linguistically the same. So it is obvious to me that the pre-Columbian Indian civilization called the Mississippi Indian Civilization is the Land of Havilah spoken about in the Torah. Interestingly enough that would make the Mississippi one of the four rivers that come from Gan Eden. Also the world's largest supply of bedolach (quartz lime) is located along the banks of the river. There is also and abundant supply of shoham (Black Onyx) in caves whose headwaters lead into the Mid-Mississippi River Valley. So the question remains. Where is the gold in them thar hills (Ozarks and hill country of Western Kentucky)? It is possible that the gold is in the vast basin making up America's Middle. Both the Missouri and the Ohio Rivers empty into the area called the Land of Havilah. Also interestingly that part of the Mississippi is known as "Little Egypt" with cities like Cairo and Memphis along its banks (a miniature section of the Nile River itself). Happy prospecting.

If you want more info. on the largest pre-Columbian Indian civilization in North America, look up Cahokia Mounds. The city was huge. It was close by to the Mississippi River. What is interesting is that they also made mounds on the other side of the River where they buried their dead. That is where St. Louis, Missouri was founded in 1764. It was originally called Mound City for that reason. What Chouteau and Laclede may not have known when they founded the city of St. Louis was that they were building a city on an ancient graveyard. The actual ancient city was across the Mississippi River in Cahokia, Illinois.

Plus the Nile in ancient times was called the Ye'or. Nowhere else in Bereishit or Shemot or anywhere else is the Ye'or even remotely referred to as the Pishon. Pishon is only mentioned once in the entire Tanakh there in Bereishit 2, indicating that neither Yisrael nor Yehudah had any regular contact with people from that particular river which would merit the river being mentioned again except for its reference to the Creation of the entire globe. The other possibility is to do what I am proposing is to look at it as describing a Nile-like River elsewhere. This does not mean that Shlomo did not trade with them. It simply means that the Pishon did not play a significant role in our ancient history. The Gichon is specifically referenced as going through the land of Kush. Now there are two places where the Bnei Kush settled, in Sub-Saharan Africa and in the Hindu Kush. Right through the Hindu Kush we find the Indus River or the Ganges which is linguistically the same as the Gichon. (not sure about that one though) The Hiddekel is known to be the Tigris and the Prat of course is the Euphrates. Yet, as far as the Pishon being the Nile or the Ye'or, does someone have an ancient source? Keep in mind our Rishonim did not live in a world where the Americas had been discovered or explored after contact was lost in ancient times. We in this post Achronic Era have the advantage of 20/ 20 hindsight about what our Eternal Torah was trying to tell us. The Torah in Bereishit described the world as G-d saw it, not as we understood it even 1000 or 2000 years ago. Therefore unless there is a definite mesorah on which everyone can agree that came from Sinai, the Pishon being the Mississippi makes the most sense now that we have mapped out the entire globe and because we now know where both Havilahs settled.

Dov this subject of the Mississippi River basin etc. is fascinating to me. I am familiar with much of what you describe but i have never heard that it is thought the Mississippi could be one of the four rivers. As i mentioned in another thread i worked with the Cherokee and Ojibwe Native Americans and felt personally that they might be of the lost tribes. e.g. I was stunned to see in the Ojibwe museums, portrayal of their ancient priests in robes with bells and pomegranates on the hems. I can assure you that there are no pomegranates in Wisconsin or Minnesota ! But many things, language, names, traditions etc.. and more. There is also some thought by some that the copper mines in northern Wisconsin & MN - which were depleted by the time of Shlomo's reign, were actually mined by Melech David during his reign - expressly for the purpose of gathering materials in preparation of the future Beit HaMikdash. Lots of things will be revealed someday !
