Welcome Back Avigdor

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman was acquitted today of the latest round of trumped up criminal charges against him.  Our evil garbage collector parading as Attorney General @#$% Weinstein yemach shmo will surely follow up these charges with another slew of charges until he ends Avigdor's career.  Here is Avigdor davening at the Kotel thanking HaShem for his yeshu'ot and nechamot.    I can't bring myself to attach Weinstein's name yemach shmo to his holy first name which just by attaching himself to that name, he besmirches the holy character of that name.  But until the next slew of persecutions from the Left, Avigdor is back.  In many positive ways, his relationship with Bibi is kenegdo.  Bibi speaks with forked tongue for good and for ill.  He is hated by Obama and Sarkozy.  But his word is mud with the straight arrows on the Right too.  His word simply can't be trusted as a signal for what he truly believes.  Avigdor speaks what he believes, and he does not check the weather vein to see if the world will approve of what he has to say.  He is the most breathtakingly honest Diplomat in modern Jewish history.  How a man who means what he says and says what he means can have such a positive working relationship with Bibi defies explanation.  But Bibi held the Foreign Ministry position for Avigdor for a reason.  Perhaps now we will find out why at this critical time when someone like Avigdor could potentially be breathtakingly honest to stick it to a dying world.

It seems like this is the case everywhere. If yo stand for truth you are displayed as wrong- an anarchist, even.
We have that in the US right now. It seems that everything the right does gets the automatic shame response from the White House. All over we see this.
More and more I find myself saying that the truth is displayed as lies and the lies are displayed as truths

Well here is something that we all know from the Yalkut Shimoni and Rav Yitzchak, the ancient medrash, but Eric Stackelbeck thought that you would like to see the actual version of the medrash coming to life. I am not sure he knows about the medrash, but he and Mark Langfan knows about Persia's nuclear program:

Persia's first target will be...drum roll....Saudi Arabia!

Readers of this blog know that the Chidekal/ Euphrates river delta, Northeastern Iraq and the Persian Gulf, is the storehouse of all the mineral wealth of Olam HaZeh with which Edom/ Yishmael are fully blessed even if they have no merit whatsoever. The Torah calls it Shmanei HaAretz, the oil of the earth, which in Esav's bracha is not dependent on the Dew from Heaven since the oil of the earth is mentioned first. The linchpin of the river delta is the Iraqi city of Batzrah, where Edom will be destroyed, at the confluence of these two rivers that flow out of the Garden of Eden. The mineral wealth associated with these two rivers is the oil of the earth which is source of wealth in Olam HaZeh. This video calls it black appropriate. Since the mineral wealth of these two rivers cannot be used to build Olam HaBa (the world to come), the Torah refrains from mentioning the mineral wealth of these two rivers when they are mentioned in Gen. 2. That Iraqi city of Batzrah is a Shi'ite city and is therefore already in Persia's sphere of influence as the previous video shows. Yet, we know that somehow spiritual Edom will become entrapped there and will be destroyed there.

Ah, I found another good friend of Israel amongst the sewer level spirit that makes up the vast majority of leaders of the human race right now. Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria. What a Name! Personally I know very little about Mr. Jonathan. I do know that he is faced with mounting Islamic terror in Nigeria, and he has asked advice from Israelis on how to curb it.

I am just adding Mr. Jonathan to the ragtag handful of international leaders, such as Stephen Harper, who don't instinctively have a seething hatred for Israel.

The Erev Rav Times or the Last Idiot (Yediot Acharonot) needs to feel pain for all the hatred that they have displayed for settlers over the last ten to twenty years for impinging on their popularity. When someone has hated me for 20 years, it takes far more than a light bulb going off in their head with no apology attached to forgive them.

So the best thing to happen now is for the Erev Rav to feel pain for not being popular anymore. After suffering for their avodah zarah or the loss of its glamour, we can talk about an apology and a path to penitence which is far more complicated than a bunch of verbiage. People are dead and maimed because of their belief system, and without the isolation they are feeling now, their version of insanity would go on forever. Baruch HaShem that they are finally scared.

An additional element here which is not being discussed is the North Korean nuclear program which is "in tune" with the Persian nuclear program. There is very close cooperation between North Korea and Iran. Surely, whatever nuclear material Iran needs is easily available from North Korea. The rollback on sanctions simply allows the Persians another year to work on longrange delivery systems. Once the long range missile is operable, they will be ready to roll...with the help of North Korea. Also once the Persians launch an operable long range missile, North Korea will magically have the same missile!!

When Vlad the Impaler Putin showed up at the Kotel on a state visit at 1 am in the morning a while back, he had a heart to heart discussion with a Russian Jew for half an hour. The Russian Jew was davening there at 1 in the morning when Vlad showed up, as vampires are wont to 1 am in the morning. At the end of the discussion the Russian Chareidi came out point blank that he is davening for the Third Temple to be built on the mountain on the other side of the Kotel Wall. Vlad, in a matter of fact tone, shook his head Yes, that he is praying for the same thing! Then he continued with his state visit to the holiest site in the world. By 2am it was time to return to his hotel room before sunrise when the light of the sun would have burnt him to a crisp. But that is just in the movies, right? Seriously though, can you imagine Obama showing up at the Kotel at 1am or 1pm agreeing with a "constituent" from the alter heim that we should build the 3rd Temple on the Temple Mount? But Vlad was pretty keen on building the Temple in lieu of the destruction of the mosques there. So my vote for world leader goes to Vlad over Obama.

Belgium raises Palestinian delegation's status to 'mission'
LAST UPDATED: 11/10/2013 08:19

Belgium raised the standing of the Palestinian Authority's diplomatic delegation in Brussels from "general delegation" to "mission" status, AFP reported on Saturday.

"The raising [of status] reflects Belgian and European support for the two-state solution," Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders said in a statement after signing an agreement with PA President Mahmoud Abbas in Jordan, that would also allow the head of the Palestinian mission to use the title of ambassador.

The move has been in the works since November 2012, when Belgium was one of 138 countries in the UN General Assembly that voted to recognize Palestine as a non-member observer state.

A question regarding an ad I clicked on from A-7 about the ninth year of yovel, advertised by a tzedaka organization in Yerushalayim. I am not naming it, but my neighborhood gets flyers from it all the time, and it seems to take a very religious stand.

“Once every fifty years, the ninth year of yovel arrives and in it the ninth month, and in it the ninth day, and in it the ninth hour – whereupon all the wheels in the upper worlds are agitated and ‘Your good treasure house upon us do open’ is fulfilled."

The date is supposed to be 9 Kislev (this Tuesday). I'm not going any further with quoting the Web page, but here's the question:

What, if anything, does this have to do with the yovel cycle and Yovel Yoveloth you were going to write about? It seems their calculations are very different from the chart you gave us the link to (thank you for that).

I apologize if this is just a waste of time, but I feel that coming from a religious organization at a time when truth is coming to the fore, campaigns like these are not just campaigns; advertising from the righteous has to be truth through and through: an example for everyone else to follow.

Would it be worthwhile participating in their program, or does it all seem Erev Zeir-ish to you? Does it depend on any mahloketh regarding the time of Yovel, or are their calculations totally off?

I have no real experience with the community it comes from (seems haredi to me), so whatever thoughts I may have on this organization and its campaigns are, at the very least, lacking in context and understanding. I do not wish to create lashon hara, but something here disturbs me. I do have haredi friends, but I have never discussed this with them.

Many thanks.

CDG: There is no halakhah for calculating a 50th year in any Yovel cycle unless there is a Beit HaMikdash with a sitting Sanhedrin. Perhaps they are assuming a condition that I don't know about. At least with Rav Yehudah HaChassid of Regensburg, he had a visitation from Eliyahu HaNavi. I will have to study this further...if there is anything really to study. The proof of this is that all Yovel cycles since the destruction of the 2nd Temple have only contained 49 and not 50 years. We commemorate the Shmittah year, the 7th year, and that is it.

11/10/2013 4:09 PM
Blogger Dov Bar-Leib said...

Actually, CDG, the Yovel year for the actual 50 year Yovel cycles, if they had continued, is in the chart. The last real Yovel year during the 2nd Temple period is recorded as the year 3815 (55ce). The Temple was destroyed on the Ninth of Av of the year 3829 or the year 3830 (70ce). So if the 2nd Temple had remained standing, the Yovel years would be in the 15th year and the 65th year of each century. Yet, the Temple of course does not stand today. So the last two Yovel years were 5715 and 5765 respectively if the Yovel cycles had to be continued to be counted as 50 year cycles, but as pointed out above, there were no real Yovel years since the destruction of the 2nd Temple. So yes, we are now in the ninth year (5774) of the new 50 year Yovel cycle.

Ok, found out from the Rambam what is going on here. During the time of the Temples, the Yovel year was at the end of the 49th year and was a Motzei Shmittah year itself. So one counted 7 Shmittot, and at the end of the 7th Shmittah year, a Yovel year was decreed. It was either dependent on all twelve tribes being in Eretz Yisrael during the time of the 1st Temple, or during the 2nd Temple, it was dependent on there being a Temple in Yerushalayim. When the 2nd Temple was destroyed, the Yovel cycles reverted to being 49 year cycles instead of 50 year cycles as expressed by the chart, but the Yovel year decoupled from being the 50th year after a 49 year cycle to simply occurring every 50 years. In short, there was no break anymore in counting the first year of the next Yovel cycle after the 7th Shmittah year. So now today we have two cycles:

1. The 49 year cycles as expressed in the chart here

2. The Yovel year which is always the 15th and the 65th year of each Jewish Century.

more later if this is not understood

Jewgirl: They are not demented. They are scared about taking on the world which is their MO for taking on Obama and the rest of this garbage world in his 2nd term. They have no emunah. So they cave in on everything in order to delay the inevitable. Perhaps that will change soon. We will see. If it does not, miracles will occur whether or not our frightened leaders are ready for it or not.

This Philippines tropical monster storm is an obvious end of days event. It was/is the strongest tropical storm (typhoon or hurricane) in recorded history. You can't get more end of days than that. I can't for the life of me figure out why the Philippines was on the receiving end of this whack though.

In conclusion with regards to the Yovel year and the Yovel cycles, one can therefore count the years in two ways from the time of the destruction of the 2nd Temple

1. Count Shmittah years every 7 years without a break for the 50th year. This count would therefore be a continuous count of 7x7= 49 years so that each Yovel cycle is 49 years after the Churban of Bayit Sheini

2. Count the years following the 15th and the 65th year of each Jewish Century. In that context we are now in the ninth year of the Yovel Cycle following year 5765. For this special thing spoken of by Rav Chaim Vital about the ninth hour in the ninth day in the ninth month in the ninth year choose option 2.

For counting where we are in the Sefirah mix of the 48th Yovel cycle since Ezra HaSofer, choose option 1. I wish life were this simple.

There are two things that are inevitable either in 5774 and 5775 or both.

1. The entire world will gather against Yerushalayim and that they will try and send troops to divide it.

2. The world economic system will go through total systemic collapse by the end of the Shmittah year 5775 in part as punishment for point number one.

Neither of these things are dependent on our teshuvah or our behavior. They were b'itah moments built into the fabric of Creation since the Torah was given, or since the beginning of our 6 thousand year journey as neshamot in a physical world (that has been around for 6x 24 days according to G-d's reference frame which is to fill the universe with His Glory. The general relativity dilation constant is about 1 trillion since the wavelength of the Cosmic background radiation has expanded by that figure much since the Big Bang.) The end of the year 5775, 1775 years after the year 4000 is an endpoint that won't be delayed. no way to sc-w this up again this time. It is the promise that Gavriel the Angel swore to at the end of Sefer Daniel. G-d is going to shake this world from one end to the other over the next 22 months like a blanket...Hold On!!

For those of us who wait 7 full days after the molad (birth of the new moon) to say Kiddush Levanah, tonight is the night to say it since we could not say it on Motzei Shabbat. Don't wait until next Motzei Shabbat. If it is cloudy then, you won't be able to say Kiddush Levanah next Sunday night the entire night necessarily.

But you know CDG? If Rav Wosner is correct and the ninth month of the ninth year is this Kislev 5774 and not nine months after Rosh HaShana 5774 which would be in Iyar, then we can start counting the 49th year of this Yovel cycle from Nisan 5774 and not from Tishrei 5775. Nisan 5774 is the end of the Ba'al Kerry's count of his own nine months. May we see miracles.

As for the Philippines - I hope they (their leadership) haven't been harboring the wrong people. I, too, wonder "why them, of all people." Many better candidates for destruction are queued up ahead of them, it would seem.

I watched R' Glazerson's video as posted by Anon. 11/10/2013 7:15 PM and I saw nothing that made me think of them.

An article in A7 it states:

“These efforts are especially poignant for us given the Philippines life-saving actions during the Second World War when the country offered safe haven to more than 1,000 Jewish refugees fleeing the Nazi onslaught. It is our privilege today to honor that historic debt,” he added."

Re: Philippines

Ya know people, sometimes a typhoon is just a typhoon. On the other hand, if the technology existed to create a "superstorm" at will and direct its path, would a ruthless government use it to create a huge distraction to divert the world's attention from its failing policies? No...surely not! That's about as nutty as believing that a secret superstate is actually in control of the U.S.A. and is spying on everyone in the world! Ridiculous!

Neshama, i too find it hard to hear each and every word of r glazerzon., sometimes i replay a part. he is an elderly person and very well thought off among my many rabbis.
i too wondered why, the philippines. this year alone they had around 20 typhoons. and with the help coming in one has to be so careful of paedophiles. during the 2004 tsunammi, which hit a large part of the world at the same time, many paedophiles tried to buy off kids n sri lanka etc. it was simply awful. i keep praying redemption should come soon. i dont know how long the world can withstand all these negative elements, which seem to be getting stronger daily. a jewish org. is going full scale to help. so far not a squeak from the pope. nor from any ysml nations. and not yet from europe. as usual US orgs is there among the first.
we, i.e among the nations of the world, who are not hit, yet, should not think philippines sinned more than us we should just thank G-d and learn from this and do teshuvah. many will not. thats the saddest part. today r gutman from mystical paths wrote a quote from chassidus of the baalshemtov:
Not only does everything come for a reason, but 'everything you see comes to teach you something'.

Iran general: No doubt Israel and America will be attacked

The Daily Caller: “According to Fars News Agency, the regime’s outlet run by the Revolutionary Guards, Gen. Massoud Jazayeri, deputy chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces, said “America’s interests and all of Israel are within the range of the Islamic Republic and there is not the slightest doubt among Iran’s armed forces to confront the American government and the Zionists (Israel).”

Opinion: Like the Iranian general, I don’t have a doubt, either. But an attack on Israel from Iran does not line up with the great war detailed by the prophet Ezekiel, at this juncture:

Ezekiel 38:8 says that Israel will have recovered from war. Ezekiel 38:11 says Israel will not expect to be attacked and Ezekiel 38:14 says that Israel will be living in peace and safety.

While none of the above exists today, we can be sure that when the alliance of nations foretold in Ezekiel 38:1-6 launches a surprise attack from the mountains of Israel, the Jewish state will not need either the US or France:

“And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord God, “that My fury will show in My face. I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord God. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother.” Ezekiel 38:18,21.

Netanyahu cancels E1 building tenders as Housing Ministry plans for more than 20,000 settlement units

The Housing Ministry last week made plans to build nearly 24,000 more settlement homes in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, Israeli media reported Tuesday.

In light of ongoing peace negotiations with the Palestinians, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Tuesday cancelled an estimated 1,200 tenders for housing units in the area known as E1 in response to plans for settlement construction in the area between Jerusalem and Ma'ale Adumim.

Sources close to Netanyahu said the premier's response came as "there is no need to pay an international price for a process that has no real meaning," Israel Radio reported.

Reuters contributed to this report.

US slams new Israeli settlement construction planning
DEBKAfile November 12, 2013, 10:26 PM (GMT+02:00)

"We are deeply concerned by this latest report” that Israel is planning 20,000 settler homes in the West Bank, said State Department spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki Tuesday. She was referring to long-term plans to issue tenders announced Tuesday by Housing Minister Uri Ariel, parts of which Prime Binyamin Netanyahu has meanwhile suspended. He commented: “Why pay an international price for an unsubstantiated process.”

The plan Netanyahu put back on ice was the small undeveloped West Bank area long under dispute with Washington known as E1, which links northeast Jerusalem to the town of Maale Adummim. The other projects are still in the planning stage too.
