This was a letter that I wrote to an avid reader of this blog. I am leaving it mostly unedited, for this week I have limited time. Yet, the "Struggle Between the Oceans" as Rabbi Kaduri referred to it has arrived!:
What percentage of Torah observant Jews in America will pay attention to the fact that there were exactly 26 named storms in the worst hurricane season in recorded history? This is important to know, for the message is directed at them. No one else is paying attention to the real reasons why this is the worst hurricane season on record and that next year promises more of the same. Of course no one other than an observant Jew would see the significance to fact that G-d has literally signed His Name on this hurricane season. (The numerical value of His Holy Name Y-H followed by W-H is 26!) How many are paying attention?
It is time for an article on Yam-Yam (the battle between the oceans). The gemorrah in a discussion of Simchat Beit HaShoeva derives the source for Niskei Mayim (the drawn water offering from the Siloam Spring in what is today called Silwan a.k.a The City of David) which is poured onto the mizbe'ach (the outer Temple altar) from two extra mems and one extra yud in Parshat Pinchas (Numbers 29:12-34) which describes the Musaph (additional) offerings for the seven days of Sukkot. Simchat Beit HaShoeva was the water drawing rite where the water was poured on the altar accompanied by shouts of ecstatic joy by all who were present. These water libations were in addition to the libations of wine which were also part of the simcha of the holiday. The word Mayim in Hebrew is water. Since on Sukkot Mankind is judged for water, this ceremony, of course, was an essential part of the festival. There is one little problem with this pshat, though. There are really two extra yuds not just one extra yud! Check it out for yourself. For most of the days of Sukkot the word for libation (niskah) is spelled nun-samech-kaf-hey (meaning "its libation"). For the second day of Sukkot it is spelled nun-samech-kaf-yud-hey-mem (meaning "their libations" and pronounced niskeyhem). There is one extra yud and a final mem there spelling the word Yam meaning sea or ocean. This is highly significant for this year, for as you know from my blog, this is the second year of Sukkot. For the sixth day of Sukkot niska is spelled nun-samech-khaf-yud-hey (meaning "its libations" and pronunced niskeyhah). Niskeyhah is spelled, therefore with one extra yud. For the seventh day of Sukkot, KaMishpat is spelled KaMishpatam with an extra final mem (meaning as their judgement or as with their requirement). Here is a reference to the fact that the entire world is with finality and exactitude judged for water on the seventh day of Sukkot, Hoshana Rabah. The extra yud from the 6th day plus the final mem from Hoshana Rabah spell Yam again. Yet, the gemorrah intentionally ignores the second extra yud associated with the second day of Sukkot, giving it no explanation. The question is why?
Well there is an answer, but it is not to be found in the Talmud. Apparently only at the level of Sod (Kabbala), is there an ancient reason for the second extra yud. Therefore, the Gemorrah chooses not to cover this subject since the subject matter exclusively has import for our generation, "The End of Days," and not for previous generations. In Baruch Gordon's article about Rabbi Kaduri's 45 minute private audience with Almighty via a kabbalistic trance on Yom Kippur afternoon in front of hundreds at Yeshivat Nachalat Yitzkhak, he notes the following dated Monday, October 17, 2005 at http://www.israelnationalnews.com/ : According to Rabbi Yosef Kaduri and the Arutz-7 journalist, the Kabbalistic elder referred to a known esoteric concept of a "Struggle Between the Oceans" and said that the large oceans (HaOkeanus HaGadol) would strike the world. It is as if the deleterious effects from becoming an oil based economy for the last 100-120 years have been building up for decades and are now ready to strike the world to coincide with the Years of Sukkot and the coming of Mashiach. What intricate timing of the Almighty! He makes it look so natural allowing for plausible deniability (a.k.a. free will) when the coastlines of the world are flooded because of global warming. Who except for a well -informed G-d fearing Jew or a Fundamentalist Christian might think that it was set in motion 120 or so years ago to punish Mankind for the bitter suffering of Israel at the hands of Gog from the Land of Magog.
Another major effect of global warming is that the process of cold water inversion which has always taken place did not take place last winter for the first time in recorded history. If this inversion does not take place this winter in the Gulf of Mexico and the Southern Atlantic, the upcoming hurricane season this coming year will dwarf this past season. This could be the first Yam, referred to in the Musaph for the second day of Sukkot. The second Yam may come about as the melting of the polar ice caps picks up in intensity so that disaster then again will strike in the sixth and seventh years of Sukkot. With Yam- Yam taking place as of this writing many possibilities exist.

Dov, speaking of Yam-Yam, Hurricane #26 (Epsilon) is still going strong in the Atlantic to the great surprise and astonishment of even the expert meteorologists at the National Hurricane Center. I don't recall ever seeing them write in this fashion. (See the NHC weather discussion below):

CANARY ISLANDS - CUMBRE VIEJA VOLCANO - "We may never know if we came close to Armageddon this Tuesday" when Tropical Storm Delta passed near La Palma, one of the Canary Islands off the coast of Africa. It's predicted that a future eruption there will drop a 500 billion ton chunk of rock into Atlantic waters. The initial splash will soar more than 3,000 feet high. Then the splash will form a "mega-tsunami" and ripple across the Atlantic faster than a jetliner.
The east coast of Florida and the United States will be nine hours away. Mountains of debris would be pushed 12 to 20 miles inland. All east coast cities would be obliterated. Fifty million people would die. The fear Monday was that Delta's rains might trigger an eruption. If the volcano burped a hot bubble of lava, water trapped in crevices would heat to steam and the steam pressure would create cracking, the scientists say. But heavy rains never came. Cumbre Vieja didn't even hiss as Delta passed many miles to its north.
Computer-generated, animated simulations of what will follow the Cumbre Vieja collapses. One map shows waves 160 feet high striking the Florida east coast. Although the Canary authorities are anxious to do all in their power to play the catastrophe scenario down, claiming such a slide is hypothetical and could take place a thousand or more years hence, in reality they are quietly beavering away behind the scenes, stepping up the vigilance on the mighty Cumbre Vieja. Gentlemen,
Respectfully...I would like to request some professional discipline here. We have actual events being discussed and potential events being discussed and Prophecized events being discussed.
I feel it is imperative that we do not confuse one category for another.
In the actual event category we have a 30% decrease in the Gulf Stream flow. It has not shut down....yet it may indeed do so....and that development (should it occur) wreaks havoc leading to an ice age according to my mentors on this topic.
But so far it is a sudden and dramatic 30% hiccup....not a shut down of that Gulf Stream.
The mind is very prone to connecting dots....and imagination (born of seeing potential and Prophecised events prior to their actualization) can create unfounded panic and unneeded hysterics. We don't want that.
Beyond doubt this Gulf Stream event is the most unique and most compelling of all that has occurred to date for those of us looking for events that bespeak the Geula. However, I feel that it is imperative that we all maintain a stone sober reality check here....by not confusing the actual with the potential or Prophecized...as enticing as that option may be.
The Geula has been in motion since Bereishis. Its preordained occurrance is as certain as gravity is certain. The convergence of several events are strongly indicating that something indeed is in motion here. But so far...all that has occurred is the Gulf Stream dropping 30% of its water flow right after a historic huricane season and last years tsunami.
Based on the above I feel that it is still somewhat premature to announce that the Day of Judgement has arrived in actuality. But, my goodness, it is sure appearing to be such.

It looks like Vendyl needs our help again. His deal with the television promotional company is on hold. I will be speaking with his PR manager, Mr. Long, this week to see what we can do. He has raised about 1/3 of the money for the project to be done independently. A very large check just came from a well-known Jewish philanthropist. Yet, he still needs over $50,000 to cover the gap. I wish that I had better news on this front, but we just need to believe that we should do our hishtadlut (best effort) in this area and pray that G-d finds the way to make it work at the proper moment. Remember that one can always make a contribution through the link on my sidebar.
In closing he has all of the scientists lined up as well as Israeli university support staff. He just needs the bucks.

I understand that Succot could stand for judgement of the Goyim; and why Edom and Yishmael would fight. I do not understand why history would stop at Succot. The rain should only fall 7 Marcheshvan. That would be 5786. It says that Beit HaMikdash will be built in Marcheshvan. Perhaps Chag Sheni (15 Marcheshvan) the Geula will be, because we missed it last year? That would be 5794.

I have thought deeply about this problem that we missed our opportunity this time and that the first year of Sukkot went by without reaching its positive potential, even though it definitely reflected the 99th year of Avraham Avinu's life. (See my article on The Year of Avraham- 5765 in the sidebar.) The best way to understand what happened is to consider that all the positive Chesed showered on the Jewish people since 1948, although we far from deserved through our merits, has been counted as the first year of Sukkot. Nowhere do we see that Klal Yisrael would be redeemed with pure Chessed in the final redemption. If the combined G-d fearing Jewish world had united behind the Jews of Katif and the Northern Shomron, the atrocity could have been stopped. Under those circumstances we would have merited redemption Achishena (before its time with minimal suffering), the last possible achishena moment since, I believe, starting this year 5766 everything is B'itah. G-d willing even now, b'itah, the process will still be speeded up so that the intensity of the suffering that is about to fall upon Mankind speedily leads to Israel's redemption. Unlike with HaShem's Chessed we can find plenty of references to the fact that "Yerushalayim will be redeemed with Tzedakah (the feminine side of strict justice a.k.a. charity" We also have plenty of pasukim that HaShem will return with Rachamim because of the teshuvah we will do over not uniting behind poor Torah Scholars on the one hand and the tzaddikim of Gush Katif on the other hand. Rachamim is usually associated with Ya'akov and therefore the third day of Sukkot and beyond.
As far as pushing this process off until "Chag Sheni", it is important to remember that while there is a Pesach Sheni in Iyar for those who were impure in Nissan to offer up the korban Pesach in its time, there is no Chag Sheni in Marcheshvan. Yeravam ben Nevat the founding king/rebel of the Northern kingdon tried to create such a Chag and was severely rebuked by our holy prophets for doing so. As of now Cheshvan is a "dry" month although I agree with you that in the future there will be a great festival associated with Marcheshvan and the rebuilding or the dedicating of the Third Temple. This is why the gemarrah compares the coming of Mashiach with being stung by a scorpion. The Scorpion is the Mazal for the month of Marcheshvan. I heard this from a Rav in St. Louis, Rav Jeffery Bienenfeld in the name of Rav Yoshe Ber Soleveitchek. If someone knows his source, please post it.
No, I do not believe that we are passing over Sukkot. This redemption is coming, in total, over the next seven years through Shmini Atzeret whether we are ready for it or not. The amount of pain that we we will need to endure in the process is up to us. Is it B'itah Achishena or is it B'itah all the way? That is our choice now. The one piece of good news about this process is that even if it is b'itah all the way, something really big will happen by the first year of the next shmittah cycle which begins in the year 5769, for here we have the Vilna Gaon's commentary on the seven years of the period called Gog U'Magog. He said that the war (either spiritual or physical) would begin in the first year of a shmittah cycle on Hoshana Rabah, the seventh day of Sukkot, and b'itah would end exactly seven years later also on Hoshana Rabah. Gog W. attacked Afghanistan on Hoshana Rabba in 5762, the first year of a shmittah cycle, which means b'itah this Gog U'Magog tekufah should end by or, G-d willing, before Hoshana Rabba 5769 (Fall 2008), the last year of his presidency unless of course he declares martial law and finds a way to continue.
In addition to this we have statements from the Zohar that Mashiach will appear in the Gallilee in the 66th year after crossing the threshold of the sixth millenium. I believe that that threshold was 5700, for on Rosh HaShana that year the Shoah had already commenced. 5700 was K'neged the 10th of Av, and Hitler had invaded Poland 2 1/2 weeks prior and was already rounding up Jews and transporting them to ghettos. The British in 1939 had already sealed the borders of Eretz Yisrael to new Jewish immigration with the famous White Paper although the Arabs could come and go as they pleased. May whatever should happen in Botzrah, Iraq happen to them soon, for the British were accomplices with Hitler.
There is one possibility that has not been discussed, and that is that we are stuck on Yom Kippur as G-d waits for our repentence. The key to understanding this is that before Yosef stood up to confront Esau's evil eye that wanted to cause Rachel our Matriarch to miscarry while she was pregnant with Binyamim, Yakov prostrated himself seven times before Esau. In modern parlance this might correspond with either the seven years (seven Yom Kippurs) of the Al Aksa Intafada beginning in 5761 and ending on Yom Kippur 5767, or it could correspond with the seven Yom Kippurs of Gog W.'s presidency (5762-5768). The hint in the Zohar is that it says the 6 1/2 years into the process there will be a full rememberance of Ya'akov. Whether we start to count the 6 1/2 years from the beginning of 5760, the year of Yom Kippur, or the end of it which was the begginning of the Al Aksa intafada is impossible to determine.
Either way I believe very strongly that Gog W. is the second and final Gog of this Gog U'Magog generation. If Pesach 5766 corresponds to the birth of Yitzkhak and the rise of Gog W. to an even more distinguished worldwide position because Esau was favored by Yitzkhak, so be it because next Pesach on the 14th of Nissan Ya'akov gets blessed with Olam HaBah combined with Olam HaZeh. Esau is stuck with Olam HaZeh only. Most sources, including Eliyahu Kitov tell us that Ya'akov "stole" his blessing on the 14th of Nissan. This would seem to indicate that a full rememberance takes place just before Pesach in the year of Ya'akov (5767). Also the famous pasuk from Leviticus "VeZecharti et briti Ya'akov v'af et briti Yitzkhak v'af et briti Avraham ezkor ve'ha'aretz ezkor" seems to indicate that full zechirah is dependant upon Ya'akov being present with Avraham and Yitzkhak. How Mashiach will appear in the Gallilee this year, though, is an open surprise. Perhaps it has something to do with a Iranian inspired Hebullah attack on the Gallil. We will just need to wait and see how that war transpires.
Therefore we are covered on two fronts. If the Cosmic Clock has not paused, then the full rememberence occurs on the 14th of Nissan of the year of Ya'akov, the third year of Sukkot. If it did pause on the year of Yom Kippur, when we start to bow down before Malkhut Edom seven times before the rise of Mashiach ben Yosef, then our last bow will be on this coming Yom Kippur, leading to a full rememberence by Pesach of 5767. For after that Esau travels to Mt. Seir to inherit this world alone while Ya'akov journeys on to Sukkot to inherit the union between both this world and the next one. Either way the worst is almost over, and we do not need to wait for the thirty year cycle of MarCheshvan for the final redemption. The only knotty problem to be resolved is why for Klal Yisrael the Al Aksa intafada began a full year before the seven year cycle of the wars of Gog W. Magog commenced. If Mashiach appears in the Gallilee in 5766, and major improvements begin to take place in our situation by Pesach 5767, how do we reconcile this with Gog W.'s critical judgement on Hoshana Rabah 5769, seven years after he invaded Afghanistan? I will make an educatated guess, but in no way is this a declaration. The turning of the tide around Pesach 5767, b'itah, is over Amalek and the Erev Rav by Mashiach ben Yosef while the turning of the tide, b'itah, over Gog W. is on Hoshana Rabba 5769. Notice from my article "The Heavenly Court Cases Continue" that both 5767 and 5769 are years in which Edom is judged. Yet, the United States because of its historic greatness in G-dliness, deserves to be judged on a different playing field than the rest of Edom. My sense is that it would be judged in the latter year and not the former one.
Thank you for your elaborate answer. Kol HaTor quotes the Vilna Gaon stating that the Geula Be'ita must come Kim'a Kim'a, slowly, because if things would happen fast we would not be able to withstand the Yisurim from the side of Din, and the big Light from the side of Chesed.
The Mishna states that the earliest time one should daven for rain is the third day of MarCheshvan. Why? Because if rain would fall before that time it would harm the Jews of the Galut.
Could it be a sign? The third day of MarCheshvan would be 5782 in your count. In a different opinion (Rav Gamliel) we start asking for rain on the seventh of MarCheshvan, 5786 in your count.
This would give some time for something that I miss in your considerations. Geula Be'ita is expected to be according to Seder HaTefilla, which has the establishment of the Sanhedrin before the Geula.
Could it be that the Sukkot years, and likely a few years beyond, are for Edom and Yishmael to gradually weaken each other, and for the Jews to leave the Galut and to unite around a Sanhedrin?
I am not sure how the fact that Yeravam ben Nevat was chastised for wanting Chag Sheni would invalidate my suggestion of 5794. Yeravam ben Nevat was extremely brilliant. He may have "seen" something. Also from Bil'am we learn.
The chastise might be taken to teach that the date is a last resort, and that by all means we should try to "bring" the Geula before that time. But such is the essence of Be'ita.
The last day of Chag Sheni would be 5801. This brings me to the article by Moshe Lerman on the English Arutz Sheva site, a couple of months ago. He also had 5751 as the beginning of the last period. He does not cite the Gulf war, but the murder of Kahane and a computation starting from the Arizal.
Lerman has it that there are seven seven-year periods after 5751, and what he writes partly parallels what you propose: your sukkot years 5765, 5772 are his second and third "shmitta" years. But for him there are four more such years after that, and after that there is the "Yovel" year, 5801.
And then, on the ledavid forum, poster Refael brings a Shita, without giving a source, featuring the years 5782, 5786, 5794, and 5801 (as well as 5765 as the year we just missed it). Just wanted to let you know. There might be a common direction here.

Just a quick answer to a question that requires perhaps a more extensive response:
The Torah of Bilaam is included in the Five Books of Moshe. It is an integral part of our holy Torah. He desired to curse us, but HaShem made him bless us.
Yeravam ben Nevat was a true Rasha, an evil man, who had nothing new to contribute to the Torah of Moshe Rabbeinu. Besides establishing Chag Sheni in MarCheshvan, he built golden calves for his temple in Samaria, for the "divine presence" to rest upon. It is as if he learned nothing from when that ruse was tried the first time around in the desert when Moshe "seemed" to be late in coming down from Sinai. For such a smart king, my five year old boy could tell you that that was a pretty dumb move.
Most egregiously, he closed the border to the South when it was Yerushalayim's turn to host the pilgrimage festival that the Torah does prescribe, Sukkot. Israelites from the North could not get to Yerushalayim for the festival that was designated by G-d to symbolize our ultimate joy, the joy of the Final Redemption that still has not occurred. Chag sheni in MarCheshvan was the creation of a truly evil king with no blessing from heaven. When our redemption has taken place in association with the Feast of Booths in Tishrei the Great Men of a newly reconstituted Sandhedrin may very well establish a festival in MarCheshvan, for as of now it is the only month with no festival, with no fast day that will become a feast day, No New Year, and with no special prayers of teshuvah in preparation for any of the above. MarCheshvan is truly a dry month, a month of the Scorpian. Yet, when the Sandhedrin finally establishes something for Cheshvan it will not subtract from the fact that Sukkot in Tishrei is the festival of our final redemption. It may begin around Pesach, but it will reach its climax in Tishrei.
This has been built into the creation when G-d looked into the Torah and created the world. Thank you for your insight, though. Please write again.
Finally, Gog P. Bush, son of Jeb Bush could really well have been a third Gog. Gog W. legalized seven or eight million illegal aliens recently, putting his nephew on the fast track to the presidency.
The problem is that the War with Iran, the final stage of the Persian Gulf War #2, will not wait until he comes of age. Plus Yechezkel HaNavi hints at two Gogs not three. Even with the opinion that there are three Wars of Gog UMagog, the Chafetz Chaim indicated that WW1 and WW2 were the first two of them although he only lived to see the first one. The actual historic figures Gog Sr. and his son Gog W. only have showed up for the final generation and the Third War fought in two stages. Gog Sr. fought Persian Gulf War #1 and his son is fighting Persian Gulf War #2 and, this is key, HE WILL SOON TRY TO DIVIDE YERUSHALAYIM.
None of what is happening now is a shadow of what will happen in another 15 years. It is happening now, and at least part of it will reach its final stages leading to redemption by the time Gog W. is set to leave office. The main purpose of serving G-d will at least begin to cease to be in order to make money by the time that Gog W. is set to leave office in Fall 5769. This message, I believe, will be a message delivered to the entire world by that time, G-d willing, within three years.
